I hadn’t visited this place in over 5 years when they reached out to schedule a check-up. I scheduled my appointment, but encountered a conflict two days beforehand which prevented me from attending. I diligently went online via their Patient Portal to cancel/reschedule well in advance, but apparently, my request didn’t go through. To my surprise, I received a bill a month later for a $50 “No Show” fee.They claimed they would have sent an email, but how could I have known? If I had realized my online cancellation attempt wouldn’t work, I would have called during business hours. Unfortunately, I handled it at night, when no one was available to answer the phone. If their Patient Portal fails to register online cancellation attempts, they shouldn’t offer the option at all. Potential patients should beware – this isn’t the place to trust with your care; they seem more interested in money than patients’ well-being.I strongly urge everyone to look elsewhere for healthcare services. This experience has shown me they prioritize billing over patient care. My review reflects only the truth of my experience.

Though the practice is very busy, I always felt they were interested in my health. Dr, Klein is a compassionate and skilled doctor. I had a procedure under his care. Then I went to Germany because I learned of some groundbreaking work that the hospital in Frankfurt was doing. The chief doctor there examined me and reported afterword that the surgeon who had done the surgery (that is Dr. Klein) did an excellent job. I feel blessed and fortunate to have him as my main urologist.

Dr. K is not only knowledgeable but also meticulous. He will not let you leave without explaining the very best outcomes, and allowing us to choose! I appreciate that.

Was delighted how well my surgery went. No complications or after effects. Dr Desai was great.I’m a senior citizen and am still weary at how automated and impersonal everything is. As much as I like Dr Desai, his staff could use a smile test 🙂

Dr. Kandabarow is very thorough. He is not satisfied until he finds out what is wrong with me. He listens to me and explains things to me in a clear manner. He also makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Klein is fantastic. Dr. Klein performed a HeLEP (median only) surgery to treat my BPH. The treatment has been a complete success! I have complete relief. My recovery has been quick. I would highly recommend Dr Klein and the staff at Potomac Urology.

I arrived at the Manassas office for an appointment that I was notified via email a few days prior to May 17th 2024. Upon arriving, the office was barely lit, I was the only person in the waiting area and the staff was on lunch break. After about 15 minutes a receptionist finally came out and informed me that the doctor I was assigned to was no longer part of the practice and that no doctors were in the office that day.It certainly would have been nice to have been notified especially, since I had just recently moved out of the area and made a 2+ hour drive for that appointment. I cant speak about the care of the current doctors, however when my previous doctor left and the one I was then assigned to also left, it doesnt give you much confidence in this practice. The organization of this office is a mess and I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

I loved Dr John Klein from Potomac Urology 1800 N Beauregard Alexandra because he listen carefully, he was extremely kind and when he found out that I was from the South side of Chicago he connected with me on a human level. Then he talked about where he received his Bachelor degree and found out that I was a professor at Purdue University. That’s what I’m looking for in a doctor, someone who can connect with their patience. That you John. You made me feel like an individual and not just another patient. I really appreciate you..

I have been seen for a kidney stone by Dr Birhanu. He was very caring and explained me in a very comprehensive way my health condition and offered a good plan. Im continued the care with Dr Wong and he is amazing also. This team of professionals are amazing.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There was very little wait time. Dr. Wong is very attentive and really listened, even having someone operate the computer so that he could focus on what was being said. Dr. Wong also asked several times to insure that the proposed solution was acceptable and addressed the problems discussed. Overall a very positive experience.

Dr. Pratik Desai is thorough and reasonable. He is not aggressive when offering treatments that are optional. When treatment is essential he explains that clearly. I have been his patient for several years, with good results.

Dr. Kandabarow is a nice guy and perhaps most important, an excellent surgeon. The rest of the staff is also very competent and helpful. Ive been through a couple of other urologists in my time and I am most happy with this doctor.

We come to this practice for the second opinion because my husbands high PSA was disregarded by our doctor: I dont feel anything- he said. Turned out we were right: Dr. Gandhi sent us straight to MRI, and after that was the biopsy.... We caught it early.

I had a great experience with Dr. Birhanu. Not only was he knowledgeable and friendly, but he also took the time to listen to my concerns and explain things clearly. His expertise and professionalism were evident throughout my visit, and I felt confident in his care. However, I did have some concerns about the front office staff. When I checked in, I overheard them making unprofessional comments about another patient who had scheduled his appointment a month ago, which made me uncomfortable. Also their manner was somewhat rude when speaking to another patient. I believe there is room for improvement in the front offices professionalism and customer service.

Thoughtful and effective surgeon. He cured my cancer. He was recommended to me by a friend. I have, in turn, recommended him to others.

Everybody in the office was pleasant. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. The nurse practitioner was professional, polite, and conversational. He let me ask all my questions and answered them all.

On my first visit, Dr. Klein correctly diagnosed a condition that had been misdiagnosed by a hospital urologist. I was both impressed and grateful.

My experience has been great. Felt very cared for and guided in my process.

My urologist in the same practice recommended Dr. Gandhi for the special treatment I required. I first met him as I was waiting to be moved to the operating room.Following the procedure, there was an appt to discuss the results and decide on a path going forward.From that first interaction, Dr Gandhi treated me as a person, not just a patient. His explanation of results and discussion of future actions were clear and to the point without being rigid. His demeanor was pleasant and conversational; which encouraged me to ask questions.I would recommend him without hesitation.

Kevin Reid takes a genuine interest in his clients, and determines the way forward only in consultation with his client. While I originally had an appointment with a urologist (whose busy schedule passed me onto Kevin, his PA), I decided to stick with Kevin after our first meeting. With Kevin I have never felt any pressure to decide on any one course of action without careful consideration of all the options, and I leave his office feeling secure that I am in good hands.

Having prostrate issues is always a nervous experience. Dr. Klein is excellent in explaining what he and his team will be doing during and after surgery. Surgery has been issue free and I feel like a new man. Kudos to Dr. Klein.

Having met with the radiologist and the surgeon for preliminary consultation before meeting with Dr. Desai, I felt well-prepared to discuss a range of treatment options. I appreciated Dr. Desais thoughtful answers to biomedical questions and concerns I had about intangibles such as disruptions to my work schedule, recovery details, and side effects such as sexual functioning. He was easy to talk to, did not rush the conversation, and conveyed a sense of concern and care for the collaborative decision-making process. I left feeling confident about the decisions I made for treatment and grateful for the thorough consultations and coordination among the treatment team.

The Medical Assistants are not attentive or knowledgable to give follow on directions given from the doctor. They dont answer the phone and they are not professional. It took more than an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be seen. This doctors office needs to either retrain or replace their staff.

About 4 years ago my primary physician informed me that I have Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease, where I was set up with a Nephrologist. They advised me to see a Urologist so they can take an MRI of my kidneys and see if there’s anything there that shouldn’t be.That’s when I met Dr. Gandhi at Potomac, and he showed me what appeared to be a tumor on my left kidney. His recommendation was to try and perform a partial nephrectomy, where by he removes the tumor area and I could still have partial use of that kidney. I agreed and scheduled the surgery.Unfortunately, what Dr. Gandhi described as not able to determine where the tumor exactly ended, he wound up removing my whole kidney. I still remember waking up from the anesthesia and seeing my wife. The first thing I asked her was if they saved the kidney and she told me he didn’t.A couple weeks later I went to see Dr. Gandhi and get the results of the tumor, where the analysis came back stating it was a cyst.That really threw me for a loop, and one where I haven’t been able to recover from since. I mean, yes, I’m grateful it wasn’t cancerous and not having to deal with that. But at the same time I do have kidney disease, and I could really use all the kidney power I can get.I still come here so they can examine my right kidney to make sure it looks ok. But I haven’t seen Dr. Gandhi in 3 years, and really dont how I’d react if I saw him. This place just triggers me every time I walk in.I don’t know, I guess my recommendation would be when the suggestion of surgery comes up, you get a second opinion, make sure you take in all the options.I also suggest you try to learn to get over stuff and move on better than I have.

I do not typically leave reviews, but for this doctor, I must!I battled with an enlarged prostate for years. I remembered meeting with my former urologist in New Jersey and after months of going back and forth to the Emergency Room at nights, and going to his office the mornings after. I looked at him eye-to-eye and respectfully, I told him that I felt worse than I did the first day I began addressing the problem with him. I was not getting better. That feeling affected my life / work and everything around me.Well, I was determined that I have work to do, and I must do it quickly. So, I began searching for a doctor who I believe truly understood the struggles that I was going through with this problem. During my research, I remembered reviewing a video where Dr. Singh spoke and answered questions about prostrate issues at a conference. As I listened to the video, I became more and more convinced that I must meet this doctor.I searched for his address and noticed that he is located in Virginia. Without any hesitation, I called his office and scheduled a consultation. On the day of the appointment, I took the long journey from New Jersey to Virginia. It was rough, (stopping to urinate so many times) but I was determined.When I arrived at the office, I was greeted by the staff, and they were very professional and helpful. Finally, I met Dr. Singh. As he spoke with me in his office, I felt confident that I had found just the right doctor. It was so very easy to discuss my issues with this doctor and he answered all my questions. Several days later his staff contacted me, and the procedure was scheduled.The procedure was done in March 2023. After the procedure, I felt no pain or discomfort, and everything that Dr. Singh told me would happen is exactly what happened. I am just blown away by the results. I remembered the first time I urinated after the procedure, and I thought something was wrong because I felt like the flood gate opened, and it has been that way since. It is now two weeks after the procedure, and I am urinating like an 18-year-old. It feels good to urinate without any issue!If you are a man who is experiencing enlarge prostate or other prostate issues, you have got to see Dr. Singh at Potomac Urology. Excellent / Caring doctor.

It’s hard to make an appointment, it’s hard to reach somebody on the phone. The staff are friendly. But it’s like the system. It seems they really don’t want to talk to people. Lightless be as always as possible. But I think it’s gone too far the other way. Unfortunately, it’s a people business. I think the management team needs to change it up make it more personable. I suggest their staff needs to call and try to make an appointment try talking to the unexperienced staff on the phone or try to reach somebody and see how difficult it is. The care is fine. The people are fine once you get into the office getting there is a difficult and frustrating part.

I was able to meet with Anteneh Birhanu, NP, since my doctor retired. It was well done on his part. We talked about my issues and came up with a game plan to move forward. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the visit. Looking forward to further meetings.

I found the doctor to be really caring and honest. He liked to listen as well. He was really experienced at reading his clients. I am 85 years old and he really took good care of me and I am sure that he does the same with all the rest of his clients.

The worst, I did not sleep for two weeks. The medical practicioner was good but the staff never send the prescrition to pharmacy because of that another night of suffering. In the old time the Dr will give prescription to the client. They said they will send to the pharmacy but they dont. Also the Dr said will do urinalysis and procedure to check your kidness. Races young white lady 0 she kick me out like catle.

You get a smile first and than a complete realization n-down of your previous test, labs or films done prior your visit. Neither of you leave the room if you are unassured of who you are being medically treated by, or for what and plan of recovery. Great Guy!

Completely ineffective. After two appointments, I was told I still need two more appointments before I can get information about my inability to pee. In my first appointment I saw Kevin Reid, who is great, no issues with him; he promptly addressed my most acute symptoms, the swelling and pain. However, when my inability to pee didnt get better, I went to a second appointment and saw Anteneh Birhanu, who is a apparently a new nurse there. He was terrible. After explaining to him all my symptoms, he told me to make another two appointments for pee testing (that could have been done on the spot that day). No examination or any discussion of my prostate, which I thought was very strange since my problem is not being able to pee. Anteneh also suggested that my problem is related to my constipation, and my problem could be resolved if I get my constipation problem resolved with my gastroenterologist! Talk about passing the buck! Unbelievable. The only useful information he told me was that it does not appear to be cancer, and he only told me this because I specifically asked him. There was otherwise no information provided to me about my problem. Not even, I dont know what is wrong yet, but we will find out after the next two appointments. Complete lack of information except he wants me to make two more appointments. Worst medical provider I have experienced in my life. By the time I get any information about my pee problems from this place, it will be two months after first experiencing this problem. I am actually getting more information about my pee problem from other doctors that Im seeing than from Potomac Urology.

Go to another location. Doctors are good but the people at alexandria location are very rude which is unnecessary. Unpleasant and waste of time

Dr, A. Desai is a personable, likable and competent physician. His personality relaxes the patient and provides confidence in his explanation of future treatment. What is even better is the beginnings of a successful therapy and outcome.

If I could give them negative stars I would.Went in for a standard vasectomy last Friday 6/23. I am swollen, bruised, and in pain. I went for a post op visit on Wednesday 28, Dr said that this is one of the worst cases he’s seen after making me wait over 25 minutes past my allotted time. Fast forward to today 6/30 with the medicine that they have prescribed I’m still in the same pain, my left side is becoming harder. I called them at 0900 this morning to speak to someone. I was told some one will get back to me within an hour….. no one has called me back all day (1:36pm) now. I have been placed on hold twice now for over 37 minutes. I do not recommended them to do anything to you. I will be going to get a second opinion from another urologist on Monday and see what he says. I don’t TRUST this practice and you shouldn’t either.

I put a single star because it wont go lower and they treated me for five years and things were okay, but September 12th, 2023, was the end of it all. I had a telehealth appointment for 1:45 to go over my last PSA test but I used to get confirmation messages. Not anymore. I had to call and confirm and I was told to expect a call to collect my copay before the appointment. At 1:30, I called because I hadnt heard anything. The calls are screened so we dont get to the people the people we need. I didnt get through until after 3pm! The link was sent to me at 3:18 but I had to ask for a bathroom break after all the time I spent waiting. Of course, my phone rang when I was in the bathroom and my return call was stonewalled. After navigating the confusing and verbose directions I got into my appointment at 3:53. I called and was told to wait and the doctor would see me. He never did come online, and I suspect they will try to bill me for a missed appointment that wasnt my fault. I will never trust these people again!

Dr. Malhotra was thorough in his examination and the explanation of visuals. He gave me several options to address my condition, mostly nonsurgical.

From the time I entered the office, I was immediately checked in even though my appt. Was not for an hour. I was then taken back soon there after to have my record crated and medication entered. then Dr. Andrew Kandabarow came in. Asked my issues concerns, checked my areas of concern. Prescribed come medication and told me to schedule 2 apprtsabdc what each was for and the results wouldctwll him what the next step would be. I made the earliest appt Sept 29 and Oct 9. Great experience and found Dr. Kanadabarow to be thorough, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Will update.

The visit to see Dr.P Desai for follow-up was quick and pleasant. his staff were very courteous. Dr. Desai is obviously the best.

This clinic is impressive - every person I dealt with was professional, thorough, and sensitive. Sadia listened carefully and offered me a great deal of information. From appointment scheduling to test results they were all top notch!

I have been a patient of Potomac Urology for many years and I can honestly say they come highly rated in my world. When communicating with the doctors, you can tell that they genuinely care for your health and well being. They organize free webinars to discuss need treatments and solutions followed by QAs. Whilst at their office, the waiting times before being seen has improved considerably.

I was schedule for Prostate Biopsy procedure under Nitrous Oxide at 3Pm on Mar 8 at Potomac Urology Alexandria location. There were lots of patients when I came. I knew that they overbooked. ( I had to wait for more than 1 hour at Manassas office for previous appointment). Nurse took me to operation room. I did not feel comfortable with room when I saw around 5 gas tanks put next to bed. Nurse asked me to put gas mask on. I saw her removed seal bags and took out tool out and put them on table. There was a sharps disposal system on floor. Then she removed and replaced top cover. (I think it hold used needles). I think top of basket is dirty. Then she continued to removed seal bags and took out tool out and put it on table. About 1 -2 minutes She asked me How I felt. I told her that I felt dizzy. She told me that it worked. She told me that she will come to get doctor. So l was alone in room. I begin counting one, two...Around 5 to 7 or 10 minutes I was nervous. There was no gas in gas mask. I took off gas mask. I got out of bed and I called office at 3:47Pm. It went to voice mail. I did not leave message for nurse. Phone took 2 minutes. Then I put on my clothes. Went out to door and asked for doctor. 1 later doctor came with his nurse. He told me that He was with another patient. I told him that I was awake. I thought that Ill be put on sleep. He told me that I would be awake. (If I knew I was awake Ill not pay Nitrous Oxide). Then he asked me to put gas mask on. I was in pain when he performed Prostate Biopsy. Procedure was done. I was dizzy, pain and left office. No one gave me any instruction or procedure to check out. I do not typically leave reviews, but based this incident with doctors and office, I felt it was necessary to let people know. Don’t bother with this practice office.

Dr. Wong was on time, efficient and asked good questions. After my exam I wondered why he hadnt required me to provide a urine sample for PSA scoring, but since mine has been so low, I assumed he didnt feel it was necessary. I was pleased he took a moment to schedule my next annual exam in 2024.

I always look forward to seeing Kevin Reid. Doctors usually are in a big hurry, and relegate most of the responsibilities to Physican Assistants, especially the less appealing duties. Kevin always cares about his patients, no matter how old, no matter how ill; and takes the time to explain procedures that need to be taken. His time is yours, and he cares. Kevin makes the physicians he assists look good. I guess thats what a PA is supposed to do.

We met Dr. Klein during my dads hosptial stay. Hes been having prostate issues for years. We had not been happy with his care. Dr. Klein came in and was so personable and knowledgeable. He answered all questions and was very accessible. We saw him in the office a few weeks later. His bedside manner is awesome. He put my faith back and trust in the doctor! His office Staff is great too!

Dr Pratik Desai was very patient and informative to all my questions and concerns he did not try to sell me on anything he wanted me to take my time and make a decision that was right for me Dr Desai has a very good bedside manner with his patients and he explained every step of the procedure that I was going to have to the letter he did not leave any stone unturned I would recommend Pratik Desai Md, to anyone whom need a surgical procedure under his field of medical expertise hands down.

This was my first visit with Dr. Wong as my other urologist had retired. Dr. Wong was friendly and courteous. He updated the records and took his time asking me questions and asking if I had any concerns. It was good first visit.

So grateful to Dr Alok Desai. I had a problem requiring me to get up a few times in the middle of the night. His analysis appreciable improved my probnlem.

I became a patient at Potomac Urology after my long-time Urologist retired. I was referred to Dr. Wong by my Primary Care Doctor and have been very satisfied with the quality of care and attention to my issues since starting my visits. Very professional and very prompt in seeing me when I have appointments. Two procedures I have had done in office have been very easy and without any lasting side effects. Office staff is very attentive and accommodating to scheduling requests/changes as well. Five Stars in my opinion!!!

Doctor Wong is a great doctor and really cares for the comfort of his patients. Always reachable and even was able to take care of a post surgery problem the next day before the regular office hours. He was highly recommend to me by a family member and I would highly recommend him to others.

There are a ton of people that visit this group of doctors and yet because they are so organized the flow is smooth and the visit is pleasant. My doctor is Dr. Patel and I find him to be a good knowledgeable and competent doctor.

Good luck trying to get any return phone calls or help! Trying to get a referral to an oncologist for cancer - you would think this would be high priority. Guess not in their minds. The request has been in for a week and still nothing from them even after repeated daily phone calls and messages through the patient portal.

Dr Desai is wonderful. While performing a very long surgery on my husband, he made sure I was updated & informed with the progress all during the procedure. He has been very helpful & informative during this process. I tend to ask a lot of questions so I can be a well informed caretaker, & Some Drs get a little peeved or impatient with me. Not Dr. Desai. Hes always answered every question or concern Ive had. We recommend him highly!

Dont bother with this practice. You cant reach anyone on the phone even if youre a patient, the providers dont return messages, and dont review the results of tests. You cant get orders for additional tests without going in (had an ultrasound, was told I needed a CTscan) and left 3-4 messages for my provider with no callback. Was left in pain, wth no information, and decided to find another doctor with a practice that actually communicates with patients. Just avoid the hassle.

Dr. J. Wong is very competent and discussed my treatment plan in clear and concise language. I also liked that he used a scribe because it made me feel that Dr. Wong was focusing on me, the patient, and not on the laptop.

We liked Dr. Desai. He was our 1st choice and wish wed waiting for an opening to hold all our visits with. But, we did not like the poorly utilized patient portal, billing practices, and communication technique of the physician we were seeing. (E.g. Dr. pressured us to provide our SSA# w/o adequate explanation. Turned out it was for a credit check. They offer a high-APR credit card, so the practice can charge you immediately.) We transferred care to a different practice.

It goes without saying that Dr Klein is a highly skilled surgeon. Beyond that, he is patient and compassionate when answering my questions and allaying my fears. My rapid recovery is a direct result of his skill and experience with this procedure.

What an experience. As soon as the Doctor came into the room, I immediately felt like I was being rushed and had to hurry with my questions and concerns. Very unorganized company. Front desk scheduled me to the wrong location at the national harbor. Went to the correct clinic, made a complaint that i had to pay for parking at the wrong location they gave me. they told me they will relay the message with their general manager, never heard back from the manager. My doctor Dr. Yousef Salem arrived, along with two nurses and he asked me about my situation. As I was trying to explain to him my conditions he tends to cut me off repeatedly and became very rude. The two nurses never introduced themselves which was very rude. I asked them who they were, he said its his assistant and trainee, thats Very Lacky. He prescribed me for more antibiotics, and the assistant prescribed me an antibiotic that contains extreme side effects. Called the clinic back and asked the assistant for the right antibiotic I took previously and she approved it, but she prescribed a whole different antibiotic. This is very unprofessional and they dont care about patients. Its been 4 weeks now, still havent heard from the manager...

The Potomac Urology office in Alexandria is very easy to get to with plenty of parking. Bonus, great restaurant, Clydes, right next to the building. The staff was graciously attentive, and Dr. Kandabarows thorough explanation of the work-up steps gave me confidence of his expertise. - Thank you!

When I last had an appointment with Dr. Desai I was very concerned about telling him that I had not done the prescribed routine I was to do. Then I settled down because he was so understanding and helpful that I am determined to go forward! So very much appreciated!

This office needs a huge communications overhaul. They should understand just how important it is to keep in touch with chemotherapy patients. They should be reaching out, but instead they dont even return phone calls.Also, the people who answer the phone should never be rude to patients or their families. This kind of behavior is devastating to people who are already fragile..Do better.

I went several years ago and only remember it was a very long wait. Now apparently I have an appointment scheduled. I never scheduled an appointment. I called them to let them know they had the wrong person. The lady asked if she could put me on hold, I said no. She said she would put me on hold. I waited a bit then just hung up. I was trying to do them a favor by correcting their information as someone was not going to get the reminder call but apparently Im too big of an inconvenience to actually talk to. Oh well, on the plus side hopefully tomorrow someone will have to wait less time as I did several years ago as they will be a little less booked.

Took a deposit that was supposed to be paid back by them after my insurance paid. Insurance payment has been processed and they havent paid me back yet. Have called them and left messages but those are left unanswered. Hoping this review will prompt a call back.

My husband and I went for an appointment looking for a 2nd opinion. Dr Wong is a very respectful and knowledgeable physician who listened to my husband’s concerns about his health issue. He discussed every possible aspect of my husband’s health and took the time to read the reports of procedures done in the past in addition to his present health status. Our experience with other urologists in the Alexandria area was fine but we were left with unanswered questions and they didn’t take the time to explain in detail what was going on. We felt hopeless. The front desk staff of the other urologists’ office was not connected to the patients who approached them looking for appointments, they were constantly in a personal chat regarding food, lunch and other things. We thought that behavior was disrespectful to every patient coming to that office. On the other hand the staff in Potomac Urology in Alexandria were courteous, friendly and respectful. We are very satisfied that we found a good group of Urologists in Alexandria. Thank you.

Dr. Desai is well informed about advances in urology, particularly options for treatment of conditions without long-term use of prescription drugs. He has an easy way with patients and a good staff. I am very pleased with this practice.

Doctors are good, staff is bad. EMS busted into the doctors office in the middle of my vasectomy. Then the discharge instructions were poor. I was told to keep the lab order and turn it into a lab for testing thats covered by my insurance. I called the office on 08/17/2022 and they returned my call at 4:45 pm saying i have to take it to specific lab and that I needed to cancel the test from labcorp. Then the receptionist or nurse tried to scold me, the patient for not waiting for their return call. Its been over 2 weeks since i left the VM for clarification.

Kevin is a nice guy. Competent. Makes you feel comfortable even when discussing topics that may not be that comfortable.

The one star is for the billing manager (K. Pope) who will mess up the patients insurance, will never answer your calls even if you leave voicemails and will never reply to your email even if you follow up. She is such a rude, unprofessional and irresponsible person. At the end of the day she will blame you and will have a mindset from the moment she calls that the patient was at fault.My doctor (Dr. Gandhi) is such a nice person, he treats his patients very well and provides good suggestions.I wouldnt go to this facility until they have such rude staff members.

The first time I visited this company they told me that I had to have minor surgery.I had the surgery scheduled a month ago for October 24th , They also told me that I needed to get tested for the coronavirus, but not before August 19.During this time before the surgery They went to the trouble of calling me twice to collect the money for the surgery , When there is the same they told me that I could pay the full amount the same day of the surgery.The second time they called, he insisted that he make the payment before the surgery They also asked me if I had been tested for the coronavirus and I said yes, I had not received any response yet.They asked me where I had done it. I told them where and they told me that they had access to that laboratory and they left me waiting on the phone for more than 30 minutes, I had to end the call and I called to know the answer to the test.When they answered the call they explained to me and told me that my result had been negative.Well, for the day of my surgery when I get to the office, the first thing they did is collect the entire amount Then another person comes and explains to me that they cant do the surgery because the coronavirus test I did is not the one they like.They never gave me some kind of order to take the coronavirus test, they just said we need the test and thats it.In summary I waited a month for them to tell me that they are not going to do the surgery because the test I did was done in a different way (corona virus) , They dont care that you missed a day of work.The management that they have is terrible, they are not professional at all.

My experience with Dr. Pratik Desai and his team at Potomac Urology has been wonderful. He quickly diagnosed my condition and chose the right course of treatment for me. They even got me funding for meds I could not afford and continue to monitor my condition and find additional sources of funding. Worst place ever. My son had an appointment there this morning. We showed up and he was told at the front desk that they did not take medicaid. The strange thing about this is when he was referred from his family doctor to this place, I specifically went on Anthem Healthkeepers Plus website and ALL of the doctors were listed as accepting his insurance. They also did not tell us when the appointment was scheduled two weeks ago when most practices ask when you make an appointment, what kind of insurance you have first off that they did not accept his insurance. This VERY rude person sitting at the desk when I questioned her kept rolling her eyes and giving me dirty looks. Another lady came up to the front desk and tried to explain to me why the website says they accept medicaid but they really dont. She said its tricky. Not sure what that means. Then then said someone had called and told us they did not accept medicaid a few days before the appointment even though neither of us ever spoke with anyone from their office. They said my son could come back and be seen by a doctor in the afternoon and be charged $260.00. If he had $260.00 for an appointment, he wouldnt be on medicaid. I would not recommend these people to anyone EVER. I had read the other terrible reviews they have been given but wanted to give them a chance to prove the reviews wrong. Sadly I understand why they received such terrible ratings. Take your business elsewhere.

I appreciated how Dr Ghandi came into the exam room with perfect recall of my history and how he thoroughly explained everything. Very friendly and he seemed to go out of his way to take care of me.

I wasn’t really impressed with this office. The girls behind the desk really were not working together. They seemed to want to do the same thing. They gave me 2 clip boards to fill out and they both wanted to do my insurance information. Wasn’t impressed with the doctor either. He had no idea why my feet were swollen and said “ It was out of his expertise “. Didn’t understand that. I most likely will not be back unless I have more problems but, most likely will see somebody else.

I see Dr. Gandhi at this practice and he is easy to talk to in straightforward terms. He understands my concerns and wants to help correct them. What else could you ask for?

Procedure went well, customer service is atrocious. Procedure was done a little over a month and a half ago. Been waiting for an itemized receipt to send to me for insurance reimbursement with no correspondence. Called multiple times and still nothing.

I was quite nervous about the procedure. Dr. Wong was very cordial reviewing my situation and that made me feel calm. Of course, I was very relieved with the findings of the examination.

Procedure went well but shady billing process. They took a $600 deposit and two months later still havent refunded it after my insurance paid them.

The Doctor is fine it’s the Telavisit that’s the joke. If a person doesn’t get a hold of you before your telavisit to get your payment (copay) you will not get a telavisit link there for you miss your appointment. Then when you call in during the time your visit is your on hold for the entire time (15min). There has to be a better way to do this. This has happened to me multiple times. You should be able to have the visit then be billed or something.

I got treatment in this clinic since 2012 . My care provider is Dr. John Klein, he is the best. Ten years in monitoring my cancer and provide me with instant treatment and care. Thank you Dr. Klein.

I concur--this place is horrible. Good luck getting through. If they call you and you miss their call, you may be on hold for 30 minutes with still no guarantee of getting through to a live message. And--their record says, leave us a message--we will get back to you within 72 hours. 72 hours? For real? Ive had an appointment for my 90 year old dad for 3 months for a follow up. They just cancelled on me. Guess Ill be another 3 months getting in. Dont even let me rant about what it took to get his pre-procedure meds.

This is the worst place by far.I went to this place for check up on Tuesday. Did my test and was told that I would be informed in one or two days. After a week, didnt hear anything! I called this place and the operator was cutting me off when I was talking. And she said she would tell the doctor. And I havent heard anything from them again for 3 days. Why did you ask me to do the test if you are not going to share it?? Go somewhere else where its more dependable. This is a waste of money, time and energy.

There is a additional new location for Potomac Urology. 251 National Harbor Boulevard Ste 400A National Harbor, MD 20745.Telephone Communication with this office in National Harbor was a problem today. I called both numbers from the website to confirm an appointment. There is no way to direct dial the office. I left msgs but noone could give me information about parking and I have to accompany a mobility challenged family member.A staff member from Potomac Urology called us before the appointment and changed the location of the appointment back to the Alexandria office. The patient had a good conversation with Dr. Shawn Marhamati and had a procedure done. Thank you proactive office staff in calling us and changing the location.

My wife is a retired physician who practiced in Northern Virginia and teamed with Dr. Desai when the patient needed their expertise. Four years ago, I had an elevated PSA and the only urologist that my wife would let me see was Dr. Desai. Recently, my PSA was again elevated and my wife insisted that I see Dr. Desai again. My wifes recommendation carries significantly more weight than mine.

Dr Wong is a polished urologist who will treat his patients according to his age group, and I am comfortable with his diagonosis and regular cehckup process.

With each visit to Potomac urology I came away with confidence in the methods that were explained. The ease inwhich you are made to feel comfortable in explaining your various concerns...I recommend Potomac urology 💯 per cent.

Worst customer service I have ever witnessed! The Alexandria staff was late to open the three times that I visited. On my first visit, I got a blood test, and the assistant scheduled me for a follow up to get the results. When I went in for the results, they didn’t have them. No one followed up with the lab to see if they were ready! Another visit one week later, and I had the results. Now I need a biopsy, and I’m supposed to start antibiotics the day before the prostate biopsy. I get a phone call that the prescription was sent to the pharmacy, and I should be able to pick it up. I called the pharmacy a few hours after some assistant from the Urology practice called me to tell me about the prescription. The Pharmacy (Walgreens) told me they didn’t receive an order from the Urology center! It’s a good thing I still have some time before the procedure. When I called the center I was told to leave a message. The number to call to leave a message is the same one I am to call if there is a medical complication after the surgery!Are you kidding me? If I have to wait 72 hours for a call back now, what makes you think you’re going to take a bite out of my a..?!

Dr Klein is a great doctor. He listens to you and offers good care, however his staff and nurses are lazy and do not care about patients, their medical reports, and appointment times.

Multi-year long patient of this practice, with numerous interactions and invasive surgeries. There wasnt a single interaction or patient contact moment that wasnt plagued by inefficiencies, ineffective treatment, or simply a lack of care/understanding. I felt stuck with this practice based on my insurance having a very narrow network of surgical urologists in this area, and I would have changed sooner if I could.

Switch my father to this group because his previous urologist passed away. It has been the biggest clown show ever. No one ever returns calls or fills medication when needed. The docs are very competent but often late. The only person I saw on time was the PA.

The meds Dr Desi tested on me did the job in cutting down on my nightly wakeups to pee and gave me an RX to continue using. I told him about another possible problem and he said if it continue to come back to see him I am very happy with the services I have received from them.

He took out my kidney stent very efficiently. Very pleasant.

Waited 45 minutes. The doctor blew in, didnt introduce himself or ask who I was or how was doing. Told me he had 40 consults scheduled that day and was too busy for chit chat. Avoid unless you want to be a literal piece of meat in their urology factory.
