UnityPoint Clinic OBGYN - Ankeny

Cannot say enough great things about this clinic and every doctor we worked with there! I honestly miss going now that my baby is here. I am so thankful that I decided to go with this clinic for my care this time around because with my first baby it was not such a pleasant experience. Also shout out to the front desk ladies they were always so helpful and understanding, I can tell they truly care!

My daughter had an appointment for her post partum. she was 10 min late and they refused to see her. She already had to wait 8 weeks after having her baby to be seen and since she was 10 min late, she has to wait another 2 weeks. What great care!! She left there crying, upset because the receptionist was rude and made her feel some type of way. Im glad I wasnt there or this review would be in person. Horrible to make her re schedule for being ONLY 10 min late. She could have waited a little longer to be seen today. Normally they have a 10-15 min grace period but I guess not here!! She will be switching!

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Hong. I’m so grateful and thankful for him. To be honest I was considering switching clinics but after seeingHe made the entire visit more personal and I left feeling so relieved and not stressed or like a number.He made sure to show us and help us understand. Really involved us and made us feel our baby’s health was important in all aspects.I do not have enough nice things to say about him. Wish I had him seen him sooner. Highly highly recommend. I hope he’s on call when I delivery. He gained my full trust within one visit.Exceptional expertise, bed side manner, and very thorough. I’d give higher than a 5 if i could.

I felt like a human Guinea pig to a doctor at this clinic. She gave me no pre-exam, barley listened to what I had to say, gave me birth control too large for my body, it rejected making me very ill. My doctor was mean and tried to manipulate me when I asked for the rejecting birth control to be taken out, and the receptionist told me good luck when I told her I was going to the ER because of the infection and the scar the IUD left me. I filed a complaint and when asked for an update was lied to and told it was closed by the doctor’s manager, when their customer service team told me it was delayed. This has been months of pain and mental exhaustion I cannot get back all because my old doctor cared more about the birth control then the human she gave it too.

My pregnant wife was belittled, gaslit, disrespected for our medical decision by the nurse and doctor. After we declined, he kept insisting and tried to coerce us. Red flag.

Absolutely love love this Ankeny office! I walk in for my OB appointment and all the receptionist know me by name. They laugh I’m late and check me in! All of the receptionist are wonderful with my two older kids. Barbara Bellaire M.D. and Dawn Sposato ARNP are amazing! Curtis Hoegh M.D. is the only one I would see if I needed to be seen right away for anything urgent! He is a wonderful! All three are exceptional! I have used all three of these wonderful doctors for both of my boys. If my husband and I decide to have another I will go to them again! They will forever have a special place in my heart! Thank you so much!

Dr Amanda Langager was the rudest Dr Ive ever delt with at the hospital while my daughter was having a baby!! She was on call and not a Dr. From her regular clinic on the west side. Nothing nice came out of her mouth and anytime I would ask or question something I would get a glare and no response. Worst experience my daughter has had and will not be returning to Lakeview!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Dr. Hoegh is. He treats me, my grandma and all 3 of my aunts! I feel that he is the most caring doctor I have ever had. Sad to hear he will retire some day in the near future.

I absolutely love the entire staff. Dr. Hoegh and Dr. Brink go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and heard. I am a high risk patient and theyve never failed me or my babies. The entire staff is kind.

I really love this clinic. I have received exceptional healthcare here for years. Dr. Hoegh is wonderful! I couldn’t ask for a more competent and compassionate doctor. The receptionists and nurses have also been great every time I’ve gone.

Doctors and receptionist was nice 👍🏼. Girl at ultrasound need to focus on her job than her personal issues.I would recommend everyone to Des Moines or West Des Moines location. I will stay sick if I have to go Ankeny Iowa clinic.

Dr.Langager is my favorite OBGYN doctor!!She is caring, understanding and answers all my questions! I really hope to see her again!!!I like all the OBGYN doctors at the Ankeny clinic.

This place is a joke every doctor has refused to see me because of my BMI and said I have to go to a different hospital 2 hours away for care then they lied on my health records saying I have stuff that I don’t mind you I gave birth to 2 kids at mercy in DesMoines if you don’t want to have big black woman in your clinic just say that

I would recommend any mom here! They have very nice staff and love sharing information on what’s to come and always make sure they have helped before you leave! K. Freeman
