Planned Parenthood - Bensalem Medical Center

I came here for a wellness visit/pap smear. I usually go to the Warminster location but unfortunately they had to shut down. I was nervous to come to a new location, but was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of each staff member I encountered. The man working the front desk was very thorough and kind, regarding all of the info he had to go over with me, being a new patient. Diamond was the staff member who took me back and asked lots of medical history questions. I was very nervous (as I always am at doctors) and she was incredibly sweet, kind and understanding. The nurse practitioner I saw, Constance, I really thought went above and beyond. She helped me understand my own health issues more thoroughly than any doctor had before. She asked me multiple times if I had questions about anything and was so willing to answer them. She seemed like she actually cared about me and wanted me to understand what was going on during each step of my visit. I imagine that it is not easy to work in an underfunded medical facility, but the staff members I saw during my visit seemed like they actually cared about their job and their patients. That is rare in my experience. I will definitely come back.

They charged me $260. I was shocked. They had never charged me so much money. At the Walminster clinic they were the best. I will never go to this Bensalem clinic again. The girl who helped me told me that for each appointment I went they were going to charge me $260. Its terrible, I dont recommend it. I get angry because they resent my arrival because they didnt tell me that they were going to charge me $260. and I waited 2 hours, my appointment was at 10:35 and they moved me at 12:35

I came in for some quick testing with serious nerves about it -- the folks at the front desk were helpful, I was taken back quickly & Alice, the one who did the testing, was compassionate and reassuring. Was affordable, fast and friendly

I just visited this Planned Parenthood to obtain birth control, and my experience was disappointing . Upon arrival, the front desk 2 color hair person diligently checked my insurance status, cautioning me about potential out of pocket costs if my insurance wasnt active.The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because of nurse, Yojadi who was the real highlight because if not Id be giving it 1 star. Her professionalism and empathy shone brightly. She not only educated me on the various birth control options available but also took the extra step to find a financially viable choice for me, considering my insurance uncertainty. I told her I wanted the mirena ,based on previous positive experience of 5 years. to which she immediately went to verify that they had it and confirmed with them its cost effectiveness (free device with a $65 insertion fee), showing her attentiveness to my needs.However, the process took a negative turn when the front desk person communicated to Yojadi that my insurance had been confirmed, pushing for the Liletta device instead, which would be entirely covered. Despite my preference for Mirena, due to my prior experience, this front desk person seemed more inclined towards an option that would ensure they were compensated by my insurance. Yojadis efforts to advocate for my choice were evident, but ultimately, the insistence on Liletta by front desk led to a full stop , and I left the facility without any birth control.Its so sad to be confronted with a system that appeared to prioritize financial considerations over patient preference .Its crucial for the people working in healthcare to remember that that they should prioritize patient needs and preferences above all. Financial logistics should not override the personal and informed choices of patients.Again the only good thing was that I encountered a healthcare professional, Yojadi, who exemplified care and consideration, genuinely looking out for my best interests.

If I could leave no stars I would. I had an appointment this morning at 10am and arrived before the Nurse Practitioner had even stepped into the office. I was met by a woman at the desk who just handed me papers and told me to fill them out. Prior to my appointment I had been told that I would be able to get financial assistance because I work part time and take care of my elderly grandmother. When taken back to the exam room I was told I’d have to pay $500 for my visit and I didn’t qualify for any assistance. I was confused and asked if I filled out my paperwork incorrectly and she explained that the call center I made the appointment with “always” gives out incorrect information and it’s too late now. I asked for help to fill it out properly and she was completely unhelpful. I have never felt so unsafe and uncared for by a physician especially in a clinic that is meant to be a safe space for women. She practically told me i was SOL and had to reschedule another appointment and “fill out your paperwork right this time”. Will never ever be coming back here. Don’t come to this office if you want to be treated with respect and have any help. Shame on that woman.

First visit was great, but the next time we had to come for an appointment just to pick up a prescription, it took over 2 hours. Appointment was for 12 and we did not leave until after 2. Essentially all that was given was a piece of paper for a 2 hour wait time.

I was appreciative that I was seen, considering I was a walk-in. I was told I had a two hour wait. People with appts left due to excessive waiting. I am in the exam room as i post this review. 2 1/2hrs and still waiting.All of the doctors/pa staff were efficient.

Online confirms $60 for testing since they no longer accept my insurance. Just last year it was only $10 copay. Arrived 20mins early for paperwork to be told its now $100 since they updated system beginning of the year. Its almost October and site doesnt reflect new pricing; which is obsurd. Canceled and left. Testing costs nothing at my doctor but PP is usually more convenient. No longer will be using their services.

The white nurse she was friendly and patient but the doctor horrible she was very upset and she doesn’t have time to listen to you

I visited this Planned Parenthood on 4/28/2021, and from beginning to end I had the best experience with the staff. I was greeted upon arrival and given paperwork to fill out. When it was time, they called me to the back and I was asked some questions about my visit. Diamond was an absolute pleasure. She was friendly, caring and efficient. The staff made this visit a pleasant one. If I should ever need to go back, this is where I will return.

I went here for STI screening about two months ago and while my visit was stressful, I cant praise the staff enough for making it much more bearable! They were all super professional, warm and friendly and knew just what to do for me when I had a bad reaction to a blood draw (which was honestly really scary and 100% my fault for not eating/being well hydrated beforehand). Even though this location is farther out from me than others, I scheduled my next appointment with them for my HPV vaccine just because I know I will feel respected, well informed and well supported at this office! Thank you!

A little bit of a longer wait than expected but, most doctor’s offices are the same way. The office staff are very nice, the medical assistants/nurses are very friendly & informative. Definitely a good office!

WORST STAFF EVER! Ive been coming to this office for years and every time I visit this center, the receptionists are rude. More recently, I wanted to get forms from this center sent to my current provider and was told that I had to come in and sign a release form. Mind you, I live an hour away in Chester County now. Regardless, I took time off of work to make the trip down here. I signed in and was waiting for over a half an hour before I approached the receptionist who wouldnt make eye contact with me and rudely told me that they only release forms between scheduled appointments and that Id have to wait. When I asked for a time frame, she refused give me an answer and just said theres one person a head of you. Since then, the 4 people that arrived after me have been helped. I called the centers manager and complained and she said I was misinformed by the call center, but it doesnt rectify the fact that I drove an hour to get one form and have been forced to wait over an hour. I strongly recommend not going to this office because the staff is and has been repulsively rude.

I have been there more than a few times, and I have had nothing but truly exelant service. Yesterday I was there for a simple depo shot, I was close to closing time,. Needed a urine sample (simple, not for me). I would say about an hour later I am still trying, everyone still nice 🙂 to me and making jokes between each other. Finally I managed to get 3 drops of urine and they said that is good. I got my shot. And everything was good. I think its a great place to goAnd I would highly recommend Thier services for whatever you are looking for. They are very kind and very knowledgeable. They are truly professional in every aspect of the word. And I would have no problem recommending them for any reason and I look forward to going back not just for my appointment but because they are so friendly they make you feel like you are their friend.

5 stars based on the staff! Everybody, including the receptionists and especially the manager were super friendly and made me feel so comfortable. NP Constance Chang was delightful and time efficient. Thank you!

Staff are terrible! Rude and not helpful... These people need to get out of the healthcare field... They sit back and talk more than they work. When asked questions they roll their eyes, then act like you are the inconveniences. In the back however the doctor bethann was amazing! She really knows her stuff. The girl who went through the question form was also nice.. overall make sure you have some time aside for appointments.. and dont ask the girls at the front desk any questions!

Overall pretty good experience. Waiting room is very small. Scheduling is terrible, I had an appointment came 15 minutes early still had to wait 1 hour to be seen. Overall staff was friendly. Since waiting room is small conversation with registration is a bit uncomfortable. Everyone can hear. Would prefer larger waiting room, or better scheduling. Appointment went quickly once I was taken.

This is the first time Ive used Planned Parenthood. We just moved to this county and do not have insurance at the moment so I needed pregnancy verification to send to CAO. I was able to schedule the appointment online, from the time I got there until the time I left was about an hour. The test was $35, they do go by household income, but still wasnt a bad price out of pocket. The staff was nice & polite. I saw a previous review about it being a ghetto location, untrue.(Also, the office is in the shopping center, my GPS couldnt seem to figure that out for some reason and kept taking me in circles.)

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLANNED PARENTHOOD IVE EVER BEEN TOO. The staff are externally rude an not helpful at all. I was in the waiting room for an hour when I had a scheduled appointment. Once I was called back I was waiting in the room to be seen for another hour an a half. The Doctor was awful with feedback an didnt really answer any of my questions or concerns that I had. I will NEVER return to this location again. Worst experience Ive ever had in a doctors office.

WORST experience ever! I scheduled an appointment for last Friday. The worker who was on the front desk made a face when I told her I had an appointment, she stated the doctor left for the day like an hour before my appointment. I asked her some questions and she IGNORED me the first time because she started a conversation with a co-worker. Then when I kept asking, her answers were very VAGUE! Dont go to that place if you dont want to deal with GHETTO people!!

The office staff was wonderful and caring. Completely taking their time with new patients, explaining everything. They were quick and efficient. So happy that there still are Planned Parenthoods still around.

Had a wonderful experience from the security guard to the front desk very kind. Mrs. Diamond and Kourtney were so caring and kind as well as the Doctor. Office is small and clean, wonderful service all the way around. Thank you to everyone at the office for being so kind and prompt 😊

I believe they only have one doctor and they have you Waite 2-3 hours after your appointment time like what is the point of having an appointment if you’re going to be waiting forever?! I been here twice to try and be seen and both times I waited two hours and ended up leaving, THEY WERE EVEN IN SEPARATE YEARS so nothing is changing. I just scheduled an appointment somewhere else.

Davina at the Bensalem Medical Center (Centre Plaza Shopping Center Bensalem, PA 19020) pleasantly exceeded my first visit at Planned Parenthood in all criterias; She was extremely welcoming, patient, supportive, informative, and efficient! It was my first check up in my life, Im 24, and Davina was a vessel of emotional and physical support. Unexpectedly, I broke down in tears just by the sight of the intimidating speculum tool for the pap smear; Davina held my hand, helping me successfully work through my severe fear of the insertion. Without Davina, my first visit to Planned Parenthood would not been as easy. Please give this woman a raise!

HORRIBLE! My appointment was scheduled for 11:30am, I wasnt even seen until 1pm. The nurses were unprofessional, barging into rooms and there was a complete lack of care and empathy that nurses should have. I wasnt even seen by a physician as after 2hrs of waiting I decided to leave. Would NOT reccomend going to this location.

The staff was rude, unfriendly and unorganized. I came in stating the time of my appointment and I waited over an hour because the appointment didn’t show up in her system because I didn’t specify the type of appointment. Obviously I didn’t want the whole waiting room to know the reason for my visit and expected more discretion so thats why I didn’t state the type of appointment when I walked in.

Went with my daughter. I have never, ever been to any place claiming to be professional, and have the staff be unacknowledging, uncaring, and totally talking about what they do on weekends or during the week. The doctor, the male doctor, was a little weird. Just a little bit TOO interested in my daughters sex life. Hmmmm......

I love this place the girls here goes out of their way every time to make my visit feels special they dont enough credit for the work that they do Ive been in here many times and seen the way some people talk to them and yet they still smile and show respect to they people who are being rude to them. My wait time was about and hour and they visit was painless. I will be going back

The girls(all of them) we extremely sweet and attentive. i was in and out. Very happy with this location.

The people at this office are very rude Andrea , Franchesca and stacey are very unprofessional !!!!! i dont understand how they still work there you guys need a new staff !!!!!!! They are very loud and rude !!!! They talk about patients and the managers just laugh about it which is very unprofessional !!!!!!!! so disappointed with my visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scheduled appointment for girlfriend and had to wait over an hour for your name to be called just to see someone.

The most unprofessional medical office. If you ever go to this place make sure to walk out with a written script. They said they would send an electronic script and never did. The worst, nasty staff .
