Embrace Family Medicine and Obstetrics

I have been seeing Dr. Schroeder for just over a year now (since moving to the area). Moving from a large city to what felt like a smaller town gave me much concern for the quality of healthcare and the option of providers that would be available. However, Dr. Schroeder is hands down one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. The way that she listens and works with you is a dream of a patient doctor relationship and experience. I cannot recommend this office and Dr. Schroeder and Allison enough. Allison, by the way, is the nurse at this office. Her care, kindness, and professionalism is unmatched. I’m so grateful to have found this office.

Dr. Schroeder was highly recommended by one of my coworker. I called the office to make an appointment with my annual wellness check. The lady at the front desk scheduled and was nice, but she didnt tell me I had to pay new patient fee and then later I need to schedule wellness check. I got the bill from Dr. Schroeders office. I called the insurance company and they called the office. The lady at the front desk has a tone of rude as soon as she was questioned. I told her she should have explained to me clearly over the phone when I called an appointment. However she didnt say anything to me. She argued I didnt understand which it was very rude, no recording the conversation and you can tell the facial expression from her face was bother to her. Why I have to pay for the mistakes she made.Just Fyi, I had been to other doctor offices to schedule annual wellness check, no one charged me the new patient fee on the top of my annual wellness check even though I am a new patient to the office.

ETA: Im adding to this review as I am not able to reply to your response. Firstly, Tracy took my number. She can use it to clear up any misunderstandings. Secondly, she was arrogantly and adamantly insisting she is THE go to person for insurance. When I informed her my sons care coordinator had called prior to confirm his insurance with your office, and she did, Tracys response was well I dont know who she could have possibly spoke to as Im the one who handles billing. We dont take that insurance here. Ive never heard of it Dr. Schroeder doest have openings anyway. Tracy had a tone of annoyance as soon as she picked up the phone. Like I was a bother to her. It was off putting and completely unacceptable. As someone who has worked in that field, I can surely understand having an off day. However, you work for any office that treats people who are sometimes feeling at their lowest. She has no idea what the person on the other side is going through. Compassion and understanding should always come first. And if you dont understand, maybe take a minute to look into it and you may just learn something new too. The fact that she not only scoffed at me when I explained to her that I found her tone to be rude and off putting and then never received a call apologizing tells me all I need to know. I hope Tracy can find a better attitude and maybe some additional training regarding insurance policies for all potential patients.Just called to set up my son for an appointment. He was assigned to Dr. Schroeder through Medicaid waiver. The woman who answered, Tracy, was so rude and dismissive. The way she spoke to me was incredibly condescending and off putting. She stated repeatedly she was in charge of their billing but had no idea what PASSE insurance was. I’ve done that job. I know dealing with people day in and day out can be exhausting. But so is being a special needs mother trying to navigate a broken system. I’m so disappointed. I had heard such great things about Dr. Schroeder and was hoping to switch myself and my daughter to her care with our private insurance. But if that’s who they have as the “face” of their office, we’ll go elsewhere.

From the front office, where Im always welcomed with a smile, to the nurse with the cool accent who makes you feel at ease, I am thrilled with the care I get under Dr. Schoeder. She truly listens, never rushes you, and is very through when addressing problems. Its nice to have a female doctor who takes their time and follows up with you. One perk is their online portal which they use religiously. That helps me immensely as a working person with limited time to make phone calls. If you want tailored care with someone who is crazy smart, has a good bedside manner too, then, this is the practice for you.

I tried several times to make an appointment. The doctor was highly recommended by medical professionals we know in the area.From the beginning it is difficult to get an appointment. Either not answering phones, leaving messages to get a call back or in my case after the above someone who wasn’t qualified to take my insurance information took it down wrong and had to book again.Jumping through hoops to find medical care is not something we are used to, and would not recommend this clinic. I then show up for my appointment and wait 45 minutes. I then tell the nurse that I only have 15 minutes left due to scheduling an hour for my appointment and she proceeded to tell me perhaps they are not the clinic for me because if another patient’s world is imploding I will have to sit and wait 45 minutes in the waiting room. No apology, without the offer to book another appointment, instead with an older nurse telling me perhaps they are not the clinic for me since they demand I sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes after making, showing up to my appointment, filling out my paperwork in advance and showing up to a clinic that has zero respect for the time of their patients.It was an absolute joke. Zero remorse, zero accountability. It was a complete waste of time from the beginning.

I really wanted to love this clinic. Unfortunately, they are not plus-size friendly. They supported me through two difficult miscarriages. However, when I experienced secondary infertility, I was told by Dr. Schroeder that the ONLY reason I wasn’t getting pregnant was because of my weight. She refused to provide any fertility care besides advising me to lose weight. I went to see a fertility specialist at a different clinic and found out that this is absolutely bogus. Additionally, when I did get pregnant, a new OB reiterated that my weight has no bearing on a health pregnancy.Do not waste your time with Embrace.Edit: There was no confusion. I asked, “So you think my weight is the only reason I am not getting pregnant?” And Dr. Schroeder’s response was, “Yes.”

My children and I have been patients of Dr Jennifer Schroeder for over 10 years. During this time she has shown more kindness and compassion than any other physician we have ever seen. She takes the time to listen to her patients concerns and properly addresses them. Her staff and nurses have always been polite and kind. The office is always clean, neat and calm. I would highly recommend Dr Schroeder and her staff to anyone looking for a new physician.

Embrace Family is truly like family. Dr. Schroeder has taken the time to ask questions and really understand the issues we are experiencing. She has been our family doctor for over 10 years and always shown compassion and concern for all ailments. She and her staff have a friendly bedside manner which puts you at ease when under their care. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Schroeder is an amazing doctor who listens to you and spends the time with to hear your medical needs.I have been going to her a few years now and would recommend her highly.

Dr. Schroeder and her staff are some of the most professional and caring healthcare professionals I have ever been treated by. From check in to exam room, they always treat my family and I with the utmost respect. They truly care about our physical and mental health and go out of their way to provide quality care. We are always able to get in for emergent sick visits, routine exams, and given prompt answers quickly via their portal or by phone. The nurse, Allison, is one of the kindest nurses we’ve ever had the pleasure of being treated by. Dr. Schroeder is unlike any other physician in the area and we will never see another provider. We are truly lucky to have such a wonderful clinic in our area. It’s really helpful to be able to check in ahead of time on their portal and be given text and email reminders about upcoming appointments. If it’s an in person or tele health visit, we never leave with questions or concerns. Highly recommend this provider and clinic to all of those in the area, you will not be disappointed.

I don’t recommend any person of color to come to this place. The nurses bedside manners are terrible and she talked to me like I was stupid. When you are a nurse you are supposed to treat people with care and kindness. She missed that memo about being professional. Dr. Schroeder wasnt helpful to me at all. She dismisses my concerns about my health and more. I noticed the nurse was more kind and polite to another patient before she took care of me. Its Disgusting that yall treat people differently that isnt your own.

I was a professor of public health and of medicine at a major research university for 16 years, and trained countless healthcare professionals. If clinical trainees (physicians, nurses, etc.) turn out to practice medicine as thoroughly and compassionately as Dr. Schroeder, we would all be better off. Dr. S. is very patient-centered. She listens carefully to patients concerns, does not make one feel rushed but rather cared for. We have NEVER felt dismissed, or our problems trivialized by Dr. S. nor any of her staff. I greatly appreciate how Dr. S. considers her patients key members of our own healthcare team, instead of using a patronizing approach with herself as the sole expert. Indeed, Dr. S. works to find solutions that are practical given the contexts in which each of us live, work, play, etc. She works WITH us to keep us healthy and/or heal.As a woman of color I was disheartened to read two reviews describing negative interactions with the practice. In addition to my personal experiences, DEI issues are also under my realm of expertise professionally. I have developed and implemented anti-bias trainings. I know that implicit bias and unintentional racism is real. Thus I will not invalidate the experiences of the other reviewers.However, I will state that nothing in my countless interactions with Dr. Schroeder or any member of her staff have caused me to think - even for a nano-second - that people of color are treated differently (negatively). Indeed, I know first-hand the high degree of sensitivity she consistently demonstrates to me and my family specific to our experiences as racial/ethnic minorities in an area that is not as diverse as from where we came. I assert - Embrace Family Medicine and Obstetrics has been 100% safe, welcoming, aware, culturally competent and clinically skilled.So, whether you are Black, Asian, Martian, Christian, Agnostic, Muslim, Male, Female, Trans, 8 years old or 80 years old, several of the above . . . I recommend Dr. Jennifer Schroeder and her staff unconditionally and without hesitation!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Schroeder for 2 years. I feel like she gives me time to explain my symptoms and she asks questions to get more clarity. The staff is great and I appreciate how well the manage to get me in the office when anyone in the family is feeling ill.

Dr. Schroeder cares about all aspects of patient health. She asks lots of questions to make sure she gets the full picture and understands patient concerns and truly listens to what they have to say!

All of these negative reviews mention wait times but they fail to mention the fantastic care that Dr. Schroeder and her staff provide. By no means is she sitting in the breakroom twiddling her thumbs. If there is ever a delay, I have ALWAYS been informed. I dont mind to wait a little bit longer if it means my concerns will be heard and validated instead of being brushed off. There is no other MD in NWA that I trust the way I trust Dr. Schroeder and her professional expertise.

I will never have anxiety about seeing a Doctor again. I am so thankful I found such a caring group of Health Professionals. Dr. Schroeder and her Staff made me feel so comfortable like, Visiting friends.

Anyone that is a person color do not visit this place! Her and her staff is not welcoming and do not take your feelings or opinions into consideration! She used to have a diverse staff now it’s not and you can feel the difference.

Doctor and staff are very helpful. Nice office as well.

If only I could rate this place a zero I most definitely would. Everyone in this facility is disrespectful, doesn’t listen to the patients concerns and just outright awful. Very disappointing.

Not very good at keeping appointments, I’ve been sitting here for over an hour and still haven’t seen a doctor.Update: We’ve been sitting here for 1 hour and 20 min and still no doctor…Our appointment was at 2:50, it’s now 3:50! Nevermind!
