John Labban, M.D., PC- Womens Health

Dr Labban and team practise a discriminatory patient call that should not be seen anywhere where all humans are treated with decency and respect. I came for my appointment at the right time, other patients came in after me, and they were ALL attended to while I was ignored. I left after waiting for 74 minutes without seeing the doctor and every other patients has been attended to. I could no longer tolerate that level of horrid behavior of being kept there till there was no more new person to see. It shows the depth of my feeling to leave a doctor office without seeing the doctor that i have waited for weeks to book the appointment. This is all shades of wrong. Dr Lsbba and team, you can do better than this .

Sad to see this doctor is still practicing. Hes awful, and so cold. I went in after hearing great things and was treated so poorly. I asked to try for a vbac and he rolled his eyes and said nope. I asked why and he said because I dont want to, thats why. I cried for days after that. Terrible doctor.

I have had vaginal discomfort ever since Dr. Labban stitched a tear in my vagina after childbirth. Extremely upsetting. Something is not right.

Dr. Labban delivered my first baby about 4 months ago. I came to him initially for a pre-conception appointment and he provided the medical care for me and my baby girl throughout my pregnancy. He and his staff (Rebecca and Samantha in particular) were fantastic throughout my journey. They were always willing to answer my many questions and were understanding and compassionate with any concerns I had. My labor and delivery went remarkably smoothly and I am so very grateful for the medical care Dr. Labban provided to me and my baby. I would highly recommend him and I would trust him again with any future pregnancies. A couple things to note:-His office is very busy and sometimes appointments can run behind.-Theres only one bathroom and it could be kept a bit cleaner.-I think Dr. Labban is more likely to use forceps than a vacuum if an assisted delivery is required and also more likely to do an episiotomy but you can always tell him your preferences and he will respect them while balancing them with what is best for you and your baby.I would recommend taking a pregnancy/labor and delivery course so that you are prepared for and informed when it comes time to deliver your baby. I took the one offered online by Dr. Nicole Rankins.Dr. Labban is a kind, extremely competent, and compassionate doctor. You will be in the best of hands if you choose him to provide your medical care.

I was scared from the beginning of my pregnancy because I am a young mom and was scared people wouldn’t take me seriously due to my age. From the beginning of scheduling appointments I’ve been treated with nothing but the utmost respect from this office. Just tonight I was in the hospital with some scary symptoms, Dr Labban was there and checked on me and did his own exam while I was at the hospital while still in scrubs I’m guessing from delivering or about to be delivering. This meant the world to me, and I’ve never been more grateful and happy for choosing this office. Truly the most kindhearted people.

Dr Laban is amazing he helped us through our difficult pregnancy journey. It sucks that he’s no longer doing OB but I’m so happy that he delivered our little girl.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Labban’s for 12 years. He delivered one of my babies, was seen as a back up provider for two subsequent home births, and performed a recent surgery. He is wonderful to work with. He is knowledgeable, gentle, has a sense of humor, and he really cares about you and your baby. He always listens to my concerns and and is happy to explain things to me. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

(Nurse practitioner) and everyone in the office.I had two previous traumatic birth experiences in another state and have a lot of medical related anxiety. My husband also has a lot of medical related anxiety and Dr Labban always answered his questions respectfully.Dr Labban and his team were always so patient and compassionate towards me even in my worst moments during my most recent pregnancy and birth. I never felt belittled even though I imagine I can be obnoxious at times.During the birth things got a little scary at the end to no one’s fault. Stuff happens sometimes. Dr Labban was absolutely cool as a cucumber and perfectly balanced my preference for a no/low intervention VBAC while never compromising the health and safety of my son and I. He is respectful of patient preferences while also balancing what needs to be done to help keep everyone safe.He is extremely skilled, measured and humble. Plus he has a fantastic sense of humor and quick to smile. 😅 God has truly given him a gift of patience.Thank you Dr Labban and everyone in his office. Ten thousand thank yous!Bloomington does not deserve the absolute gem God has given in His kindness and long suffering patience.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was a senior in college who just wanted to get a routine pap done. I saw the NP and right away she started pressuring me into birth control. She was pushing the IUD on me so I ended up saying fine as long as my insurance covers it. I use to work in a doctors office so I know it takes minutes to run an insurance. Either way, I knew my insurance covered it because I called them about it myself. However, my birth control card was not with me as I was under my moms Insruance so I gave them the information over the phone. The office never reached back out to me so I assumed the bill was covered. I am not sure if they lost the information or what happened but my Insruance states they never received a claim from them. I found out they sent me to collections for $1350 almost 2 years later from credit karma. They never reached out to me once. Again, I am in healthcare myself and have worked in a doctors office so I know that this is a right off for them. However, they refuse to do anything to fix their mistake. I asked if they could have the NP call me back but they never made any efforts. I ended up having issues with the IUD and had to get it removed anyway. Just very lazy and poor communication efforts all around, then the customer is the one who pays the price.Any business owner who actually cared about their patients would be more diligent and respectful. I told the office multiple times that I was moving across the country, they did not bother to take down a new address. I personally did not update my information because I gave them what they needed and was no longer continuing care. However, my address was updated in the postal system so any mail that they send would have been redirected to me. No one from the office would talk to me so I spoke to Melissa in the billing department. She confirmed that no mail was sent to me until over a year later which was too late to file anything with my insurance. They negated to do their job. This is 100% a right off based on opinions of other MDs and PAs that I am friends with. I would never trust any company that cant admit that they made a mistake.

I’m so thankful for Dr. Labban. He’s been an excellent doctor for me over the past 14 years through 9 babies. He’s been easygoing when all is normal and has the knowledge and experience to calmly let us know whenever some action is needed. I especially appreciate that he is not anxious about multiple pregnancies or pregnancy over age 35. He’s warm and funny too. I have always felt at ease in his care and highly recommend him!

Dr. Labban has been my doctor for three hospital births and my back up for two home births and currently a third. He provides excellent care. He’s kind, knowledgeable, funny and trustworthy. I highly recommend him and have been for many years. I’m so thankful for him and all he has done for my family and me.

Dr. Labban delivered my third child and took excellent care of me during the very fast delivery and complications that occurred. He also listened to me in my appointments and didn’t push me to do cervix checks and let me wait for spontaneous labor. In my experience, it’s obvious that he trusts women and their ability to give birth and know what they need.

Although I had planned a natural birth at home, medical circumstances led to a hospital induction and complicated labor that easily could have turned into a c-section in the hands of a less patient doctor. Instead, Dr. Labban made sure to communicate my options to me, respected and listened to my wishes, and actively problem-solved in order to facilitate a safe vaginal delivery. Even though I didnt have the kind of birth I was expecting, he kept the experience from being negative or traumatic and led me and my son to the best outcome possible under the circumstances. Im very grateful to have had him as my OB.

The first time I walked into Labban’s office was in 2012. It was my first pregnancy, and this was the place that everyone said to go to. They were right. I love Labban. I’m very grateful to him for all he has done for me and my babies. My most recent experience was with my 5th baby this past year. I had a good experience in the office. All my questions were answered. Labban made a good call to go ahead and go to the hospital when I felt like I didn’t need to yet. I’m glad I listened because I had the baby very quickly after arriving. I think I’ve called his office about 10 times postpartum with various worries and was always able to speak to a nurse. As I left the office the last time I was there, I took the time to memorize the room and the pictures on the walls. I realized that with the new hospital and potentially moving buildings, I never know when it might be the last time I step out of that particular office. It is a bittersweet feeling. Dr. Labban is our hero. He delivered my two babies. I received good care at his office, and when I was in labor, Dr. Labban was so calm and knew what he was doing, that I stopped panicking. Although getting two episiotomy is definitely unpleasant and unexpected, I totally trust Dr. Labbans judgment. Dr. Labban loves and cares for his patients from his heart, and his dry humor is hilarious. I recommended him to every friend who needed an OB/GYN, and will absolutely recommend him in the future. (Yes I admit that the waiting time in the office or in the car is less ideal, but thinking about all the personal time Dr. Labban sacrificed for his patients, I can take that.)

Dr Labban has been my delivering doctor or my back-up doctor for all of my 7 babies! He has been kind and caring and I trust his decisions as a doctor which means I am at ease and can focus on what I need to do. I had a friend tell me a nurse had gotten her set up to push before dr Labban came in the room and he walked in and said, “who did this?” And he changed her position and got her reset and then she was so much more comfortable!

We are so grateful for Dr Labban. I have been his patient for 10 years and he delivered 6 of our babies and helped me through 3 miscarriages. I am particularly thankful for his willingness to consider a VBAC and walk my husband and I through the process, answering our concerns and being realistic but positive and encouraging. During labor, he has always been calm and steady, and it was so wonderful to have a doctor we trusted had our best interest at heart. He has been a gift from God to my family - a doctor who loves and values life, gives sound medical counsel, and has made me laugh in the midst of difficulty. It is rare to find such a doctor these days!

Dr. Labban and his office are very personable and attentive. It was very welcoming and considering the amount of people they see every day, I am amazed with the continued kindness from everyone there. I once overheard a conversation where the receptionist said that Dr. Labban was going to see 40 PEOPLE in one day. If you feel upset by how fast or how slow you can get in to see him, don’t, because the visit will be of great quality and attentiveness. He was ACTUALLY there to deliver my second child too! I couldn’t say the same for my previous OB office. He was very calming and not panicking for how fast my daughter came and there were lots of things happening with her and he gave no fear to me by reacting in a way that would scare me. It was the most amazing birthing experience I’ve had yet. Love this office! Highly recommend.

Dr. Labban was so kind and helpful throughout our time in Bloomington. He was very knowledgeable, and straightforward. I am so thankful that we were able to have such a caring individual for a doctor. Camille, our nurse, was so positive and caring too! She was a problem-solver, and helped me get through a rough first trimester, and a wonderful second trimester. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone wanting a personal feel, and a staff who takes the time to get to know you, and wants the best for you and your adorable little bundle 🎁💖💐

Dr. Labban delivered all four of my babies via c-section. He encouraged me after each delivery with making the next decision on how to best safely carry and deliver future children. He always allowed me to do what was most comfortable for me while telling me when he felt that something would do harm to the baby. My fourth delivery had to be under general anesthesia at my request because of the inability to get an epidural or spinal into my back. Dr. Labban spoke up with me and for me to the anesthesiologist to make sure this would be done and the birth would be as calm as possible for me while causing the least trauma. I’m so thankful for all of his expertise and his help in bringing my four children safely out of my womb! I recommend him to everyone!

When he delivered my youngest child in 2013 he was an absolute blessing. He listened to my needs and concerns. He let me do things my way as long as it didnt harm my baby or me. For 3 years Ive seen a doctor closer to where I live. For 3 years Ive had an awful experience. I decided it was time to go back to Dr. Labban. Its definitely a farther drive but the results Ive gotten in such a short time are wonderful. He listened to the issues Ive had with the other doctor and we came up with a game plan to fix the issues Im having in a lot less time than I thought it would take. From now on I will be going to him no matter how far away he is. He is amazing!

I came to Dr. Labban in my 3rd trimester as a latecomer to a home birth with a local midwife. Dr. Labban was so careful about looking at my whole health history to make sure I would be ok at home. Dr. Labbans scrupulous care made me feel very safe and I felt very confident that I was in good shape to handle birth without a hospital. My baby was born at home, uneventfully last week. Whatever you need an OB for, you can be sure Dr. Labban will take very good care of you.

Dr. Labban is AWESOME!!! He was my doctor when I was a very nervous first time mom. He did a great job explaining everything and putting me at ease. He is very knowledgeable and cares a lot about his patients. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!!

Having attended 85 births as a doula, I would like to say that it is always a privilege to work with Dr. Labban. I trust his decisions to be in the best interest of his patients. If a labor ends in a C-section, (which is rare) I never have to wonder if it was necessary. He is thorough, kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable and competent! We are lucky to have him in Bloomington, to say nothing of his being the only local OB who will be a back-up for home births.

Dr. Labban took me on as my back up doctor for my home birth in my last trimester of pregnancy after moving here and I was so grateful. Appointments were easy to make with his staff and his clinic is easily accessible. The rooms were clean with space for my children to sit in with me. I got in and out quickly at my OB appts. He didn’t require cervical checks or anything invasive. He showed trust in me with my 6th pregnancy even though I was a new face. I paid in cash and they honored their quoted price. I was grateful not to have additional surprise lab fees show up in the mail afterwards. Bonus that he discussed Tin Tin comics with my sons at our last appointment!

I absolutely love Dr. Labban’s office! The nurse practitioner is the one who took care of me and she is phenomenal! My last gyno left me traumatized and when I went in to this office I was up front with them that I was scared. The other nurses helped calm me down and told me that I had options, something a gyno has never told me before. When the NP came in she told me if I was too nervous to go through with getting the iud removal I could always schedule it for another day which made me feel so comfortable that I went through with it. Everyone at this office is so kind and have the best bedside manner. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for listening to women and showing them that there are good gynos out there!

Dr. Labban is hands-down the most caring doctor I’ve ever had. He always spent time listening to and addressing my questions and concerns - always making me feel like it was ok to ask him anything on my mind (and when you are pregnant there is a lot on your mind). He was ALWAYS respectful, caring, and authentic.I also loved that I knew I would see him every time. Given that I had difficulties during both pregnancies, it was important to me that I consistently saw the same doctor.He has an extremely calming presence, which I loved and appreciated. I truly felt like he and his staff were family - I still send Christmas cards to the office.Put simply: he’s the best!!

I would like to say Dr Labban is the best obgyn in Bloomington. Dr Labban listens to his patients and does his best at doing what he thinks is the best option and if there is any concerns he will tell you. After having a c section with my first child(different obgyn) he was willing to let me try for a vbac with my second child. At 25 weeks I went into preterm labor and he was able to help stop my contractions and let me keep trying to go with my birth plan. I went as long as I could (42weeks)and Dr labban didnt want me to go anymore due to it being really risky for me and my child. Like I said he listens and does his best to do the right things.

Doctor Labban is awesome! He delivered our first son and worked with us for our second child until we relocated out of state. He is super kind and is very accommodating to your wishes and how you want your birth to go :) he worked with our doula and my very extensive birth plan. If I could still have him I would! We loved him

Samantha was amazing!!! She made the awkwardness of the appt light and personable. I was able to talk to her about my concerns, and she was upfront, honest, and real. This was the most comfortable Ive ever felt at an annual pap smear. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!!

I have had the privilege of being cared for by Dr. Labban for the last 15 years. He sacrifices his sleep every night and gives up his “free time” every day to care for women’s health and deliver their babies safely. He has told me this work is his calling or mission in life - it’s not a career. I believe him 100%! The work is grueling, and he does it all with a smile, quick wit, and amazing skill.He has literally saved my life in an emergency situation; then again, listened to me, found and fixed a major life threatening issue when my labor nurse thought I was “just tired”. He has been a comfort through miscarriage, cheered and high-fived us after our babies have been born, listened attentively in the office and thought through alternative treatments, called to check on my recovery when he was supposed to be off work, given advice we didn’t want to hear because he. cares.If you need an OB/Gyn, you can’t do better than Dr. Labban!

Dr. Labban truly has the biggest heart to back his years of expertise. We are so fortunate to have had him care for our family after years of trying to even have a baby in the first place. When it came to our labor and delivery, he was reassuring, positive and honest throughout the process. We will be forever grateful.

The lady that gave me my first ultra sound at this office that revealed my baby had no heart beat was heartless. She assumed that because I didnt cry right after I found out that I must have known at 15 weeks that my baby had not made it and made me feel like I did something to cause it when I asked what could have happened. When I was in the hospital beside myself after having to deliver my stillborn baby and asked Labban for an excuse from work which did not give time for maternity leave, I felt he looked at me with disgust and told me they should understand rather than just making me feel at ease... I have never fully recovered from this experience which was over 12 years ago. I hope that awful woman that helped with ultra sounds with the bleach blonde hair doesnt still work there and if she does I pray she never treats another woman the way she did me that day... If she does Im sure there is karma coming for her if it hasnt already. I usually dont post things like this but it has been on my heart for a long time and Im ready to move on and heal.

Dr. Labban is the best ob. gyn. in Bloomington. Weve had babies elsewhere, but Dr. Labban is very open-minded about our desires approaching our childrens birth. He is relaxed, disarming, and comforting through the process. Hes very good at answering our questions (which often are very numerous!). Highly recommended, we would certainly go back to him when we ever have the need!

Dr. Labban abused me in labor, stretched me forcefully without consent (and when I explicitly told him not to and then screamed for him to stop), forced me to push on my back, lied about my daughters HR being in danger, and then had me wait over an hour unmonitored for a c-section he told me was an emergency. I thought my daughter and I would die. Since my experience I have heard similar stories from at least 5 other women who are too afraid to come forward, or who were made to feel like they were the problem when they spoke up against Labbans verbal abuse. While we have a shortage of options in Bloomington, his abuse is inexcusable. I wish more women would speak out publicly so other women could make informed decisions. Labban does not use informed consent, he is verbally aggressive if not abusive, and he will force you to deliver on your back hoisted up because it is easier on his back even if that is not the best way for you to deliver. I know some women love him but that does not make up for his appalling treatment of other women. We deserve better.

Its really sad to see all of the negative comments on here about Dr. Labban. He has been my obgyn for 7 years. He delivered my daughter 6 years ago and started my care while pregnant with my 2nd. I ended up moving 2 hours north while pregnant with my 2nd. I delivered at a different hospital with a different doctor, but eventually went back to Labban for my continued care. Now I make the 2 hour drive to Bloomington to see him because I trust him, and Ive built a relationship with him as my doctor. He did my laparoscopy in 2012, and is about to do my second laparoscopy in April. For me, its worth the drive to see him. Yes sometimes there is a long wait. He is a very busy man. He has had to leave his office on several occasions to deliver babies because they set their own birth schedule. He sees a lot of patients as well because he is a great doctor, so he is highly sought after for care. I love Dr. Labban. He will continue to be my obgyn until he is not longer in practice, or I move too far to drive to see him.

Dr. Labban has been my backup OB for a homebirth, and for a second one in the works. Although sometimes wait times are long, Ive had overall positive experiences with Dr. Labban and his staff. I greatly appreciate his willingness to work with my midwife to ensure a safe birth and good prenatal care.

Delivered my son when I was 15, Im back now 12 years later and wouldnt want anyone else caring for me and my daughter. I trust him 100% and know Im getting the best prenatal care in town. Nurses are always very friendly and never judgmental, they ensure I feel comfortable every visit.

I went here three times over the past year and each time has been really terrible. They somehow lost my insurance information and now are charging me the full price, the doctor recommended I have surgery by reading an ultrasound that was 8 months old, and they never even called me back about that ultrasound when they first took it, even after I called many, many times. Then after getting another ultrasound, they said oh, nevermind, you dont need surgery. I was anxious for a month thinking I had to have surgery.Basically worst experience ever, and I dont even understand why I came back in the first place. Looks like Ill have to drive up to Indy to get any decent healthcare.

We appreciated that Dr. Labban works very well with our midwife Mary Helen. I trusted him because of his knowledge and honesty, and felt heard by him. We found his sense of humor to be just the kind of medicine we needed.

I am very thankful for Dr. Labban, not only for my birth experience with him, but other births Ive been privileged to attend where he was the provider. In each experience he was professional and attentive and provided excellent care.

Dr Labban and his staff are so kind! Dr Labban provided excellent OB support throughout my pregnancy and was totally supportive of my birth decisions, including homebirth. His staff are friendly and helpful. If we have another baby we will use Dr Labban again!!

Awesome OBGYN office! , the staff was very friendly and great care.

So happy to have an ob that supports home birth and is willing to be a back up for birth. I planned for a home birth, but ended up having a cessarean because my son was breach. He kept a level of calm in the room when things got hectic.My second pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. He was unable to physically see me the day of the ultrasound, but called me at 9 pm to talk to me and see how I was doing physically and mentally. He is a very busy man and I found this act to be very touching.

Dr. Labban has been great. I do have to wait awhile for him to arrive at appointments, but Ive never known a doctors office to be on time, anyway, so I cant complain. During appointments he is always quick (though offers me plenty of opportunities to ask questions - I dont feel rushed out the door), very respectful of my choices, and he never pushes unnecessary procedures. Also, his staff has always been very kind and helpful. They may not be the most efficient office but they do seem to care a lot and that matters much more to me!

I went to Labban because I believe I am pregnant. I have had all 3 of my home test turn out + but Bloomington hospitals test came out - . The test at Dr. Labbans came out + but they still wanted to do a lab blood test to check my hormone levels to garentee that I am pregnant. When he did the pelvic exam he was very gentile and professional. His nurses were very nice and social. I like this office very much. One set back is I have been waiting for the call about the results of my blood test for a day and a half now. I am anxious and would like to move to the next step. That is my only complaint. It doesnt take that long for a blood test to come back.

Wonderful! He was very thorough. I am a nurse, so I secretly critique as a default. He performed 3 procedures on me. Tubal, endometrial ablation, and a LEEP procedure on my cervix. I had 2 incisions. Umbilical and 2-3 inches below that. I slept for 3 hours post surgery but I couldn’t sleep the night before. Came home, done gentle cleaning, I also have 4 kids. I bruise very easy. 24 hours post surgery and I have no bruising. I feel well enough to go to work and I have took my 4 young kids to ball practice and the park the evening after surgery. Very impressed by Labban and how gentle he was with surgery. Easy to talk to as well. 5 stars!!!

It is sad to hear all of the negatives towards Dr. Labban. I have to say I went into early labor with last child and as I left my town/local hospital so I could deliver in Bloomington he personally talked to me on the phone, in my local hospital room before he agreed to my wishes. At which point an ambulance then rushed me to Bloomimgton. (All based of my persistence to deliver in Bloomimgton .)As I made it into delivery he was right there immediately scrubbing in, in just mere seconds to deliver my premature baby. He handled it very professionally , that I do not think any other OBGYN could have done any better job of doing. He stayed with my husband and I and entire family. He continually made rounds to the neonatal dept to check in with us and kept in contact with the pediatricians caring for our baby. To this day, almost 14 years later we discuss not only the child he delivered, but my other two as well. (That he didnt deliver.) He has performed two surgeries on me, that I have absolutely no complaints about. No complications with. We have a grear line of communication , he has personally made contact with me on specific issues. He always is very talkative and listens to, then answers my questions howrver long it takes during exams. I just do not allow anything less than- thus he knows this and always has respected my assertiveness . Maybe he isnt super talkative to some but lets face it exams are not the most high subjectively talking point of anyones day. Professional or whatever I am there most routinely for annual exams, most times of which are not the most pleasurable doctor visit. what does one expect a Dr. to say during this time? I guess it all just depends on the person and personalities? I dont care what he talks about personally as long as he does his job and keeps my health at the forefront of whats happening. I dont need anything else out of him. I personally am not a whiny blaming type person who feels the Dr. should make this a glamorous activity. It is what it is and what you make it. So I just talk about via stuff kids and babies and so what if its about vacation or and what is he supposed to talk about how your vagina looks, smells and feels. And if anybody feels like he has caused physical harm during an exam or a surgery, or feels he has had some sort of malpractice then why wouldnt you sue him if thats truthful? I would be the first to say Im very sorry and would agree I would never return to a doctor who has caused some physical damage or loss of a baby or permanent damage I definitely am not agreeing with that. I do however feel like people love to jump on the bandwagon of complaints and complaining. So for me personally and my premature baby hundred percent healthy my body healthy recovered and like I said hes performed two surgeries one of which was very basic a tubal litigation, and another that could have not been such a good outcome and I felt he was very Hands-On checking on me wouldnt let me go unless he felt I felt I was okay as well as himself and his staff. I felt like hes always been very open to my questions and answers but I just refuse to not have my questions answered and Ive been that way from day one and he knows that and again we have a great Rapport based off of that. So in my situation my personal experiences Im very pleased with him and him continuing to be my gynecologist since delivering my son 14 years ago.

Scheduling was fast for appointments, office staff was very nice, but wait times were long, always at least an hour. Had been a trying to conceive for a year, finally got pregnant with my first baby. A week after first letting them know I did blood work and progesterone was low, had dropped by more than half in a week. They never called to let me know. I finally called them after a week of waiting for results and though I tried using progesterone cream right away to raise it I miscarried a few days later. Cant help but wonder if I would still have my baby if they had cared enough to be concerned about my low levels of progesterone and had let me know right away so something could be done. Definitely do not recommend.

Was my Ob with my second son and we absolutely would choose him again. Now after moving and having other GYNs I can say he is the best in Bloomington! The last GYN I saw tried putting me on birth control for my now soon to be surgery issue. I am happy to be back in his care!

Dr. Labban is an excellent doctor! He truly cares about the well-being of his patients and I was very happy with his care during pregnancy and delivery.

I feel he was very rushed to get our delivery over with. Possibly due to the huge work load he has after Donna left. In my experience our birth plan was not even reviewed once by him. It could of been but I didnt see him look it over. After my wife had said she didnt want her water broken his response was thats fine you can either wait here in l&d or go home and come back when your water break, but im NOT coming back tonight to break your water. We go home come back later. Shes fully dialated and thinned its 4 am Im tired shes tired hes tired I understand but when you walk into the room and tell the nurse get me the hook( to break her water cause it hasnt on its own) without asking my wife if that is what she wants infuriates me. Respect my wife and her wishes shes my rick and no one will disrespect her Im just glad I was able to stay calm and collected instead of doing what I wanted. In my opinion the OB nurses at Bloomington Iu health are GREAT loved them! They are also trained to deliver babies stay home next time and sleep Dr. Maybe then you will respect another patient.

Waited for two hours for a 3:15 appointment. Did not get into the the physicians office until 5:20. The office then told my partner and I that they were going to call us for our biopsy results. They never did. I had to call them and they said it was still in processing. This information was relayed to us more than a week and a half after the promised results were supposed to be given. My partner and I highly recommend that you not see this doctor and are very sorry for those who have made the same mistake that we did.

While the staff seemed nice enough, the office has no respect for appointment times. I arrived 15 minutes early for a 2:15 appointment and had to wait for OVER AN HOUR before I was led back into a room, where I waited for ANOTHER 20 MIN for a routine examination! The nurse and doctor both blamed the wait on ONE nurse being on vacation. There is absolutely no reason that the absence of one person should disrupt the schedule this badly. I would encourage this office to be much more aware of their schedule. When I make an appointment and keep it, I expect that my time is respected as much as the doctors. I was incredibly disappointed.

Frequent collapses (not fainting spells, but literal collapses wherein I would be conscious but unable to move for up to an hour at a time) were considered normal during my pregnancy. These collapses made it impossible for me to complete teaching lessons in front of a class for my education degree, and it took a brisk letter from my professor to finally get the office to give me a letter to enable me to apply for an incomplete so I would not be penalized for health concerns. Waits were usually 3 or more hours long. I had a severe asthma attack and collapse that required an ambulance ride and emergency room visit, but when it was reported, they seemed to forget it ever happened and never addressed any additional concerns this might have meant for my, at the time, 7 month pregnancy. The only concern that was ever noted, repeatedly, was that my daughter was measuring small, but when she was born she was of normal size, and though they repeatedly claimed her shins were short, her legs were of normal length. I was treated with extreme disrespect, and any mention of physical concerns was met with, drink more water, take your prenatal. An inability to keep food down for several months straight was even met with, drink more water, take your prenatal, without even any consideration of an anti-emetic. An acquaintance talked with an ob/gyn acquaintance of hers that noted I should have my thyroid checked due to the symptoms I was presenting, but when I rose this concern, I was told I was fine. The birth at the local hospital went fine, but I feel like this was in spite of my prenatal care. I also had my last two prenatal appointments cancelled on me.

He has provided me with excellent care and me and my family have been very happy with him. I would recommend him to any friend, family member, or colleague. The nurses and staff are so kind, helpful, and understanding. And my doctor, Dr. Harris, was just as great. Very professional. I felt very safe and was well taken care of. Ill continue to visit this office for the rest of my time in Bloomington!There are sometimes long wait times, but that is unfortunately the way most healthcare businesses must operate.

The nurse practitioner falsely diagnosed me with a pretty serious issue. I was then charged for the 2 appointments following the diagnosis to find out that it in fact wasn’t true. Luckily, we have the means to pay for these medical expenses but a lot of people don’t. There was also no sympathy from Dr Labban and the np never reached out to me to apologize. I just hope she was informed of the mistake she made as to not do it again. I gave 2 stars because the nurses there were very sweet and Dr Labban does seem to know what he’s doing. If you come here I wouldn’t not recommend the np because she does not know what she’s doing. The wait times are long but that’s expected with OBGYNs.

I didn’t see much of Dr.Labban throughout my pregnancy and I am 7 months pregnant right now. And he says he won’t be there when it’s time for me to deliver. I would feel a lot more comfortable if my doctor was there.

I like the staff & nurses there...Wish I could say the same about Labban... he seems like he doesnt care at all... hes in and out and when Ive tried to address some concerns he just brushes them off. Doesnt even talk about them... its like I have to force him to say something. If I dont speak up he most definately wouldnt and would have already left the room....Ive heard great things about him but he is showing me different...I wish I could switch doctors !!! I miss Harris !!!

Worst doctor Ive ever seen. Rudest doctor Ive ever seen. Most uncaring, lest sensitive doctor in the world. First pap Ive ever had, I told them I was uncomfortable enough to cry. Still continued to talk about his vacation with a nurse. While my legs are in the air and his face is right there. Completely inappropriate

I truly love and admire Dr. Laban he truly cares about his patients any and all no sterio type no judgment just honest care for human life and I am beyond grateful he delivered 2 out of my 3 kids and cared for me during all 3. I wish all doctors and their nurses treated people with such carr and respect!!!!

By far the best doctor I ever had for my feminine needs! He explained every thing and was up to date on all the latest procedures. I felt confident and safe in his care!

I like dr. Labban but when ubask him a question he ignores you i had asked him where to pick up my Rogam shot at f0r my rh- blood and he refused to answer me. I asked him if i had to do the glucose test with my labs and he ignored me and rushed menout of the room.

Wouldn’t recommend anyone else. I have been seen by many doctors including IU health. I would’ve had to wait 6+ months if it wasn’t for Dr. labban getting me in right away to resolve my issues. By far the best doctor in town. Thank you Dr. Labban!

He didnt show any concern for me and I waited in his office for around two hours. After getting a routine pap smear during which he was dispassionately unconcerned and talked at the computer the whole time I was on th table I got a bill for over six thousand dollars for a battery of tests I never asked for with my pap smear. Horrible experience. Horrible office. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Dr. Labban delivered both of my babies and did an excellent job. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an OB in Bloomington!

Do not recommend. This doctor failed to tell me about the potential for life-threatening side effects and I almost died as a result. I would have made a different choice for myself / my body if he would have told me the statistics. I considered it negligence and wish I had done more after it happened.

Dr. Labban was great! Sure there were some low grade wait times to see him, but the entire healthcare profession is over worked and under paid!

Dr. Harris was the worst gyno Ive ever had. He made the entire pap uncomfortable and I would steer far away. But the office staff is awesome.

I have epilepsy and I told him that but he didnt put me on any medication, so one day when I getting ready for work I had a seizure and I spent 5 months in hospital and then had to go to rehab now therapy.

So glad he supports homebirth and very thankful I was able to have the support I needed for my 3 home births with the best midwife!

It took over a month for me to get an appointment after I found out I was pregnant and then they didnt even have me down for the day they told me. Im almost 11 weeks and still havent seen a doctor. I will be finding a new one.

Outstanding care. Great people, and our experience was a huge improvement over the other group practice in town.

Wait time was very long. Staff was rude over the phone about scheduling an appointment. Not a single positive vibe from any members of the staff.
