Meredith Cassidy, MD

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cassidy and her entire team. From my first visit back in 2021, I felt comfortable and cared for. Dr. Cassidy took the time to thoroughly explain everything, listened to all of my concerns, and has never rushed me. She has an exceptional bedside manner, she’s very witty and truly makes you feel heard and understood. Her entire staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. Fast forward to now, I have had two beautiful and healthy children under her care. My birth experiences with her were nothing short of fantastic (both inductions) and I’m so grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and compassionate OB-GYN who I can trust completely with my health. Highly recommend!

Cassidy has always been great she was my OBGYN in 2008/2017/ and currently. She always takes time to answer questions, very thorough with her answers. Always so polite and kind. Im excited to have her as my doctor again 😊

I love doctor Cassidy! She explains everything in simple terms that are understandable, never rushes you and validates all your questions. She looks over your chart before your appointment, goes over what needs to happen currently and long term for your care. She repeats all prescriptions and labs sent before you leave. She is kind, caring and has the best bedside manner. She’s delivered my 2 babies full-term and healthy. I’ve been with this office for 6 yrs now and I’ve never encountered a staff member that wasn’t kind or willing to help.

I came to Colorado Springs May of 2022 and was 5 months pregnant. Due to not having any complications thus far, I decided I just need to see any OB to feel comfortable and be set on track for the rest of my pregnancy. I wouldnt say that Meredith isnt knowledgeable in her field but Im giving this review mainly because of my experiences right before, during and after birth. Again I had no complications throughout my pregnancy so already she did not spend much time with me. My due date was November 6th and she asked on the 4th if I would like to be induced on the 5th. To be fair this was tempting since Meredith would be the one giving birth to my baby and it would be comforting to have a face I knew there. But given the fact that I had a very low risk pregnancy, I figured it was unnecessary. As it so happens, I went into labor the 5th anyway and she ended up delivering my baby. During birth she gave me an episiotomy without my consent. No questions asked she just cut me. I had heard varying things about the benefits and drawbacks of an episiotomy vs naturally tearing, but it being my first pregnancy I figured they would give me the choice. But there was zero choice given and although it didnt have a lasting negative effect on me, I want others to be aware this could happen to them too. Its interesting because when I looked up who needed an episiotomy its usually people who are pushing for long periods or their babys shoulders are stuck or other methods need to be used to get the baby out. I was pushing for 10 minutes tops. I would not have even gotten the chance to know if I could have pushed my son out without being cut. My other concern came at my 6 week postpartum check up. She looked at me for about a minute and spent the rest of the time talking to be about birth control options. I told her I had reservations about birth control since I tried multiple different options as a teenager, with many of them having negative emotional impacts and causing significant weight gain. She dismissed my experiences on birth control and told me there is no evidence of birth control causing weight gain. She went as far as telling me my weight gain was caused by other lifestyle situations during the time I was on it, as if she knew me my whole life. I have known several people with the same experiences on birth control and I understand the doctors are going to want to push them onto people regardless because of how big an industry it is, but I dont want anyone to feel dismissed in their feelings. I didnt argue, I simply let her prescribe me a pill I didnt take because I definitely didnt want anything implanted in my body. After knowing her throughout my pregnancy I knew any hesitations or questions I had against their typical practices would be easily dismissed. Looking back it seems she wanted to do things as quickly as possibly and on her schedule. The early induction, giving me an episiotomy with no consent, and then dismissing concerns about birth control.

Dr. Cassidy is caring, attentive to your needs, and knowledgeable of all aspects of her profession. She truly listens to what you have to say.. Highly recommend her for your female care, childbirth and beyond!

I absolutely love Dr. Cassidy! She is who I saw throughout my pregnancy and delivered my daughter. She was always kind and informative. Two years later I still go to her for my annual. She knows I have anxiety and makes sure to always give me peace of mind. She never makes me feel dumb for the million questions I ask. Is personable and really looks out for my needs and concerns. She even sends me messages on my Centura account with updates and making my health a priority. I will always suggest her to friends/family. I can’t thank her enough for how kind and informative she’s always been to me!

Id give her zero stars if I could she is horrible and so is this practice. I saw her for my first job appointment where she made me feel extremely anxious and that i am old so i should expect to have a miscarriage. Im only 34. I have already had one healthy baby with no issue. She also prescribed me an antibiotic that I couldnt take and I asked for a different one she told me I was stupid for asking and after asking several more times she finally prescribed the right one. I simply asked if I could switch doctors in this practice because I didnt think we were a good fit. She not only took 4 weeks to respond, she did so via a letter instead of a phone call. She also said she was denying my request to see any other doctors in the practice. Do Not use Dr Meredith Cassidy, she is an arrogant, self righteous piece of garbage the reviews on her all show that this is true. I found out later that she delivered my nephew and caused his face to be deformed my guess is she recognized my last name and that is why she wont let me see another doctor in this crooked practice I cannot believe that the office would allow her to continue working there and I really cant believe that they would allow her to dictate who the other doctors can see. DO NOT USE ACADEMY WOMENS HEALTH OR DR MEREDITH CASSIDY if you value your health or the health of your children.

Dr. Cassidy goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are well cared for. She is personable, detail oriented, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
