I had an accident and hurt my ankle. This has been ongoing for two weeks with not much improvement until I came to the clinic. The doctor was kind to even contact the insurance company to make sure I could be treated as in-network.The swelling is gone from the ankle and seems to be improving. He explained to me also how this ankle is structurally damaged with an image to give me better understanding and how we are treating the damage. I have been to many acupuncturists but I think this one goes extra steps.Thank you MK Wellness!

My experience with conventional doctors often left me frustrated, as they would either dismiss my concerns or conduct limited blood work, failing to see the full picture. I’m so glad I did—this thorough assessment revealed an autoimmune disease and several hormonal imbalances. I highly recommend Dr.Kim. I have been dealing with hives for 8 years and previous to seeing Dr. Kim, I’d seen my GP, allergists, immunologists and dermatologists. No one could resolve my hives and the best advice was to take antihistamine daily. I started seeing Dr. Kim because I didn’t want to treat the symptoms but wanted to figure out the root cause. It’s taken 1.5 years and even Dr. Kim says that my case was tricky and stubborn, but it appears my hives are on the mend. First things first, the first person you see coming in to the business is Lina, and she is awesome. She is always friendly and greets me by my name. I came to see Dr. Kim because I had a pinched nerve in my neck and was looking at accupuncture for relief. My daughter had sustained a very severe case of sciatica from a gym workout accident. She was having a lot of trouble just walking and with normal everyday activities. We tried many different treatments, but they were ineffective. Dr Kim’s acupuncture treatment was the one that we eventually found (from a friend’s recommendation) which made a world of difference. It was able to break the cramping & locked up muscles issue. After a series of acupuncture treatments she is now almost completely recovered. It made a huge difference. I came in to see Dr. Kim for my neck and back, which have given me problems for several years. He also was able to treat my knee and shoulder, which have been quite painful due to sports injuries. They are thorough with their work and genuinely want you to heal and recover. I have had acupuncture several times in the past but the experience was completely different. I’ve been working with Dr. Kim on diet and lifestyle strategies due to a medical condition. After almost 3 years of implementing the strategies along with acupuncture, my blood test result has increased 50% and have been feeling much better. Also, since he is a naturopathic doctor, he is a great resource for getting other blood test results in a good range. The acupuncture treatments have been very helpful with other pain and issues that have flared up along the way, like pain in my wrist and a tight QL. Definitely would recommend going to Dr. Kim.

Min Kyun Kim, is amazing at his practice. I went in with massive lower back pain, because of a pinched nerve in my lower back and within the first few visits, my pain on a scale from 10 be the most painful went down to almost nothing. My experience at MK Integrative Wellness was exceptional. I have had several people in different circles suggest that Dr Kim is the best TCM practitioner in San Diego. It was ecstatic to find out that he is in the Tri-west network and I was able to see him with a referral from the VA. Many of the acupuncturists Ive seen in the past seemed to throw needles in me without any rhyme or reason. Dr Kim does an elaborate assessment of pulses around the body to dictate the placement of the needles, and it made a massive difference. Without fail, every time the first needle went in, I would fall into a deep meditative state and stay there for an hour until the needles were removed. This was a very interesting experience that Ive only had once or twice with previous acupuncture experiences. Additionally, Dr Kim was able to prescribe several herbs to assist with my poor kidney function and anemia. I feel much better since Ive been on this protocol and hope to see improvements in my follow up blood work. Another must mention are his credentials. As a licensed ND, its clear that he has a comprehensive understanding of the body and all of its processes. My 12 treatments with Dr. Kim have not only improved my pain, but my overall well being. I cannot recommend him enough for your acupuncture, TCM, or ND needs.
