I have been going to this office since 2016. I have seen both doctors and nurse practitioners as well, and have always been satisfied. The new office lady that I met today was just such a wonderful person and made you smile as soon as you talked to her. I will recommend this gynecology office to every person, especially women in their young 20’s, I have always felt comfort and never any worry from them.

Excellent service, warm and professional staff. Wonderful skin care products too. They changed my life!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pearson’s for quite a few years now and consider myself very blessed to have found her! She takes the time to answer any of my questions and truly cares about her patients. I always love the chance to visit with her. I’ve never had a bad experience there and have no qualms in recommending the practice.

I have been getting laser hair removal with Kristen for the last few months and am AMAZED at the results! She makes the process go by super quick (you can hardly feel the zaps!) and I cant believe how much of a difference I have already seen. I used to have to shave every single day and now I can go for weeks. Even when the hair does grow back, its much finer and there is a lot less of it. 100% recommend - wish I would have done it years ago!

This is a fabulous practice! Dr. Pearson and her entire staff are wonderful. Everyone is so caring and they make you feel comfortable from the moment you enter the office. Most importantly, the care I receive is the BEST! Dr. Pearson really listens and as a result I feel better than I have in years. I recommend her often to family and friends and will continue to do so.

I have been a patient at SWS since 2015. I have always loved the attention and care that I receive each time I have an appointment. Dr Guepet has walked with me through surgery, hormone replacement and even skin care. This is truly head-to-toe health care. Their whole mindset revolves around helping women, at any age, feel healthy and beautiful. I cannot imagine going through this stage of life without them!

I called in for a GYN appointment. I received new patient information forms which I filled out and sent back immediately. I called back the next day to set up an appointment and was informed that my paperwork still needs to be approved by the doctor and it may take them up to 14 days. What kind of fancy practice is this? Do you need my whole life history, income and social media profile to determine if I am good enough for your practice? That’s crazy

All around experience 10/10. HIGHLY recommend! The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. There are not enough words to describe how AMAZING the physicians are and they treat you with such respect while being very informative. You will not regret becoming a patient in this clinic!LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I was really looking forward to becoming a new patient here but the receptionist was so rude and wouldnt even check my insurance to see if I had coverage. Ive always had doctors offices run my insurance before so Im not sure what the problem was. As soon as I called another practice, the first thing they did was run my insurance for me, no problem.

They cancelled my first appointment without notice (which I later realized also happened to a few other ladies). During my consultation, the original gyno I met with was great, but she must have left the facility not long after. The second gyno they placed me with treated me as if I was just another number to push through and treated my questions in a very condescending, dismissive way. I gave this place 3 tries/appointments before I finally left. But the facility and ladies working the desks were very kind and helpful.

I have been using Dr Brown since 2000 when I was pregnant with my 1st child and I have never had a bad experience. They make it as pleasant as possible and the staff is always so friendly. FLORENCE that works the front desk has been there as long as I can remember and she is amazing but when an employer keeps staff for a long time, that speaks volumes for them. I refer anyone that ask to him and I highly recommend him. You are a person and not a number and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. Love them!!!

Going to the gynecologist used to rank right up there with going to the dentist for me; one of my least favorite [but necessary] things to do. Visiting Southern Womens Specialists has been an entirely different experience in the BEST way!!! Their providers and staff are so warm, caring, and professional. Even in the most awkward situations (ya know what I mean, ladies???), they always make me feel comfortable. I can talk to them about my most intimate concerns easily and without feeling anxious or embarrassed. I especially love that the appointment process is streamlined. I completed the registration process ahead of time and arrived a few minutes before my appointment,. They were able to get me back quickly and I didnt have to fuss over updating paperwork in a waiting room full of people. AND the office is soooo peaceful and gorgeous! I left feeling happy, relaxed, and grateful for the excellent care I received!!!

I had a terrible experience at my last gynecologist. Kept me from going to get check ups for years. I had a friend recommended Dr. Pearson and I am SO glad she did! This office was very nice, clean, and everyone was super friendly and professional. Dr. Pearson took the time to listen to what I had to say and addressed each topic. And I was in and out in no time! She will be my preferred Dr. now on!

I had my first GYN appointment at Southern Womens Specialist today and was extremely pleased with the experience. The atmosphere was relaxing,, the staff friendly and Dr. Pearson was the best. Dr. McCool-Pearson has been my doctor for several years now. I have consistently had the best patient care and absolutely would go nowhere else. The level of her knowledge, character and true caring about her patients is second to none. She and her staff rock!!

Staff is VERY sweet and Dr Brown’s skill, sweet bedside manner and overall great personality cannot be equaled. I couldn’t recommend him and his staff more highly. I had a complex surgery by Dr Brown and I feel the outcome was perfect.

I saw Dr. Geupet for a little over a year before I moved away. In that short time she was able to make me feel 100% better.The office is very professional and everyone is the nicest from the receptionist you see first to the last checkout lady. I felt like Dr. Geupet and I developed a personal relationship and I wasn’t just a # to her, I was like a friend I could discuss anything with. My husband had gone with me to a few appointments with me and he was jealous that I had a Dr. that was so knowable and cared 100% of their patients. We grew a relationship that we discussed family and shows on Netflix to she even took my advice and traveled Yellowstone on my advice. I’m actually going to miss my appointments with her cause it never felt like it was a Dr appointment. Amy Russell

Disclaimer: this has nothing to do with the quality of care from the doctors. We only had one visit and it seemed to go well, other than the extreme wait times. I will never recommend this group to anyone. My daughter and I both went in as new patients. The first problem is we were in that office for 3 hours that day, for some pretty basic appointments. I decided to let it go, and hoped it wouldnt be an issue on other visits. Then I went back for an ultrasound appointment, mind you, they scheduled it. I arrived to find out the tech wasnt even there that day. They still were going to have the NP see me, so I was taken to an exam room. After waiting nearly an hour in the exam room, I decided to leave. I politely told the front desk what happened and that I would reschedule. Another lady followed me out, Im assuming a manager, to also inquire and I explained everything to her and she seemed fine with it also. Then the bills came, which were for almost 500.00 a piece for my daughter and I. I called the office to inquire about it, and was transferred to the Manager. I explained my concern, and all she said was Ok. You have to pay at least half of this today. It was like she thought of the most unprofessional response she could think of. I honestly didnt want to argue, and against my better judgement, paid half without argument. Got off the phone, and attempted to call my insurance company but was placed on hold forever. Hung up. Called the office back a couple weeks later, and asked if they could send me an explanation of benefits. It was the manager again. She said she would have to ask Christy. I said ok and thought I would hear back in a couple days. Instead, I received a certified letter on my doorstep stating the practice terminated me and my daughters relationship with them. There was no explanation. Unbeknownst to them, we werent planning on returning anyway. But I still didnt understand after how we had been treated, they were terminating us. I decided I didnt want to talk to the manager again, as she was useless before. I contacted the BBB to see if they could help me get an EOB and an explanation as to why they terminated the relationship. The BBB tried to reach out to them multiple times and nobody would talk to them. They did send them a copy of my HIPPA form that I signed which states the BBB may not be able to assist with resolutions. I ended up calling my insurance company again, and found out that for my portion, I should have never been billed; and for my daughters portion, they only should have billed half of what they did. The insurance company attempted to call the office, and also could not get a person to talk to. Bottom line, I feel like the manager may be trying to steal money from the patients. She likely sent the termination letter so I wouldnt pursue the issue any further and she probably is the one who ignored the BBBs requests for communication. Thats my theory anyway.

Dr Guepet always makes me feel comfortable, in knowing that she is a highly qualified doctor who treats all my conditions with the utmost of care and respect. Their entire team always makes you feel welcomed and cared for! Would highly recommend this Clinic to anyone!

This is the best, most caring doctor I have ever met! Dr. Pearson will spend time with you and listen and has a lot of equipment in her practice so if she feels she needs to look at other things to see whats going on..she can do it right there! All the ladies there are very welcoming and kind!

Dr Brown and staff are very caring. Almost always on time. If by the rare chance he runs behind, he and staff still give you the care and attention that you need and deserve reguardless of the time it takes. I would recommend this group to anyone! Dr. Bobby Brown is my primary doctor and he is very knowledge, professional and makes you feel like you are his only patient for the day! Professionally speaking, I have had a complete hysterectomy and most recently 6 weeks ago the TVT sling for the bladder procedure. Best thing I ever did! Easy out patient procedure, recovery time is brief as well. Dr. Brown called me at home that evening to check on me! From the front desk to the examine room - great experience!

Having used a different practice for 20+ years, I felt that I was at a stage in life where I needed to make a change. I ended up selecting Dr. Guepets practice and couldnt be more pleased. Lets face it.... this is not an appointment that any of us women look forward to each year. However, the entire process from scheduling my first appointment to the actual visit to scheduling next years appointment was exceptionally pleasant. Dr. Guepet and her entire staff made me feel welcome and comfortable . I am very thankful to have Dr. Guepet looking after my health and for making me feel that my well being is important to her.

I have seen different GYN and dermatologist for two issues that I have been having. After my first appointment with Dr. Brown, I left there with written information that has been so helpful with my concerns. He is so thorough. He listened to my concerns, did a complete check up and was so informative. He has left me with the best impression than any other doctor as given me. I have finally found the best doctor ever since moving to Gulf Shores, AL! I have lived here now 3 years; and have searched and searched for a doctor here, instead of having to go back to Marietta, GA to my long-time gynecologist! Well I found her, Dr. Angela Pearson in Fairhope, AL!I have had some very serious issues from prior female surgeries, and Dr. Pearson was willing and able to address them with no hesitation! I can’t thank her enough for taking me as her patient, and ready to help me get back to a normal active lifestyle! Thank you God for Dr. Angela Pearson!

As a new patient, I was very anxious about this visit. Dr. McCool-Pearson put me at ease immediately. She and her NP were wonderful. She was very thorough yet quick in the exam. She also answered any questions I had and made me feel comfortable about future procedures. The nurse who took my vitals was also extremely kind and thorough. I am so glad I chose Dr. McCool-Pearson as my new physician.

I have seen Dr Robert Brown for 16 years. He and his staff have been absolutely wonderful.My only complaint is filling out a dozen forms everytime I have my annual visit. It is a bit much. I understand updating is necessary. However in my case, my information has not changed in 16 years. There should be a better system in place.

This was my first visit to Brown, Pearson, and Guepet. Dr. Guepet was very informative and answered all my questions. She really cares about her patients. Her staff are top notched. Everyone in the office, from the front desk receptionist to billing are a class act. I will be referring all my friends and coworkers to this facility.

I have known Angie McCool-Pearson for almost 20 years. She had delivered both my daughters (one a miracle), We cried and hugged as they were born. Dr. Pearson is not only a wonderful professional, who graduated top of her class, and considered one of the best physicians in South Alabama, but I consider her a beautiful friend.

I have searched for a gynecologist for years until I found Dr Pearson . I have been going to her for about 6 years now. Her staff is always friendly and professional. Dr Pearson is the BEST doctor ! Dr. Guepet and I grew up together. She is very thorough and has excellent bedside manner. She was my doctor in Birmingham and when she moved I continued using her. Now I’m thankful to have moved to the area.

Very attentive staff. I did not have to wait long to see the doctor. Their speculum is warmed prior to use. So comfortable. The waiting room is lovely. There is plenty of parking. I recommend this office.

Dr Brown and his staff are great. They take the time to listen to you and are always so nice. They are concerned about your health and will make sure that you are doing okay and that they have checked out everything to put you at ease.

Edit : Their sign up process is long, and you have to complete this before they will set up an appointment. I spent an hour completing their forms just for them to say that though they had my insurance prior to requesting me to complete their long set up process, they would not set me up an appointment with my insurance company which they admitted they accept. They said they would set me up as cash pay but would not attempt to charge my insurance company unless I selected a primary which I had been unable to do due to covid and no local drs taking new patients or their waiting list was 8 months out.I called my insurance company to ask about options, they said since I had PPO coverage I did not have to select a primary to receive coverage and they would pay for my womans care. My insurance company conferenced called this clinic to tell them the service would be covered, but the lady continued to admit she did not know how to read the coverage, so the insurance lady read it to her very kindly three times. The clerk continued to say she was setting me up as cash pay instead of charging my insurance for my own benefit because she wanted to help me.The insurance agent and I both very confused asked what that meant. (All on a recorded line that I have).The SWS clerk said she just wasnt sure and would have to get management, instead of her going to get her manager so we could clarify this and get my appointment set up, the SWS clerk hung up.After spending an entire day trying to set up an appointment with this clinic, I called the one in Mobile with a 4.9 stars and they had my appointment for next week set in under 10 minutes. I got off the phone bewildered how easy setting up my appointment was at the MOBILE CLINIC.I called hoping to make them my regular womans care doctor because of the reviews. Due to just receiving a new medical package this year I had no previous primary care physician in this county. After receiving my medical package after COVID I had called around to set an appt for primary care physician origination, but due to recent times, either no one was accepting new patients or were 8 months out for initial appointment. so currently none set up. When I called here they had me fill out their online documents which took over an hour and even requested my credit card information to be held on file, which I did. Then I called happy and excited to set up my appointment now that all the paperwork was complete.They told me they would not give me an appointment until I picked out a primary car physician. So I called my PPO Blue Cross Blue Shield policy and they advised me that I am still covered for service, I am just not eligible for the $10 co-pay discount but all other services are still covered the same, so we called the clinic back but the lady continued to argue with my insurance company saying I was not covered. My insurance company repeated, WE WILL PAY HER SERVICES, SHE JUST DOES NOT GET THE DISCOUNT. but the receptionist could not understand this and said she would have to get her manager. but instead of getting her manager she just hung up. After spending an entire day trying to set up an appointment with this clinic, I called the one in Mobile with a 4.9 stars and they had my appointment for next week set in under 10 minutes. I got off the phone bewildered how easy setting up my appointment was at the MOBILE CLINIC.

In my 68 years I have seen a number of doctors. Dr Brown is by far the best one yet. Womens issues are often not acknowledged by doctors. I know Im not the only woman to hear well, its just that time of the month . Or you know, at your age . More than once I have wanted to scream ARE YOU LISTENING? Ive never felt that way with Dr Brown. He DOES listen. He listens so well that he was able to tell me I had an infected kidney stone when my urologist couldnt figure it out. He has such a kind gentle nature you just want to hug him. Oh, and the ladies in the office are wonderful as well.

Everyone is so helpful and kind. Dr. Pearson and Mitzi are beyond good. I feel as though I had a through exam and they are helping me with my problems greatly. Ive been seeing Dr. Pearson and Mitzi for a long time and always love seeing them again.

I had a problem arise when I was on vacation in Dauphin Island, and they were able to work me in to be seen the same day that I called. Every staff member I encountered was extremely nice, Dr. Guepet was wonderful, and they helped me to be able to enjoy the rest of my vacation.

Have used Dr. Brown for 12 years or so since I moved here from Atlanta and think the world of him and his staff. Literally, has helped me in every area of my health care referring me to all my other doctors who I felt confident with as well. Class act in my opinion.

Although, I dont relish going to the doctor, I know when it is time to see Dr. Pearson, I will always be treated respectfully and professionally and seen in a timely manner. Since moving to the Gulf Coast several years ago, it had been several years since I saw a gynecologist. I am now in my 60s so I had some age-related gyneocology issues. A friend recommended Dr. Angela McCool Pearson. An office visit with Dr. Pearson is like having coffee with a girlfriend. Its easy to talk with her about personal issues. Following Dr. Pearsons protocol, my personal issues improved. Dr. Pearson tweaked the protocol on my followup visit. Its great having a female gynecologist that can relate to issues that women have. In the past, most of my gynecologists were male.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pearson for years. I don’t mind the 40 mile one way trip! It’s worth every minute to have a doctor truly listen and have empathy. She and her team are the best!

Dr. Guepet took phenomenal care of me when I was experiencing menstrual problems post endometrial ablation from a previous GYN. She takes time to listen and investigate, then collaborate with you to find the most suitable option. For me, it was a hysterectomy. I could not be happier with the care that I received from her. She was very informative both preop and postop and has the calmest disposition that goes such a long way at the bedside. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a GYN doctor :)

Southern Womens Specialists helps such a realm of issues that women have in so many ways. Any time I have questions regarding symptoms or my care, they are always kind and thorough but also make me feel special and remembered. Everyone at this office truly cares about their patients.

Dr. Brown is a great doctor. He seems genuinely concerned about the health of his patients. He takes time to listen and discuss health concerns. I appreciate his professionalism and care.

I had to wait FOREVER after I get there and get Reschedule because I booked first online and my appt was not even scheduled, they overbook thier Drs 4 other people will have the same appointment time. Then to get your blood work results you have to make a follow up appt and another copay. Needless to say I canceled my follow up and Ill be finding another Dr.

I dont like going to a doctor and dr. Briwn and his staff were awesome. Made me feel very comfortable and they gave me the impression that they really care about thier patients. I would definitely recommend them!!

This office commits insurance fraud. They charged my wife 2 times for one check-up and one ultrasound. The nurses and office manager are the frauds - the nurse was not able to perform the test on my wifes first visit, and rescheduled for a week later. We were billed two times for one test, and this fraud of an office manager will not do anything about it. When my wife explained to her what happened, the office manager told her that she believes the nurse and not my wife, and then hung up on my wife. DO NOT go to this doctors office. They are frauds.

Depends on the atmosphere you are looking for & how much extra time you have to devote to a visit. Our experience was a bit snooty & slow. You have to schedule an appt & pay additional copays in order to find out that your bloodwork is fine with no issues at all which is an extra expense to the patient as well as the insurance company, not to mention time missed from work & school.

I love Southern Women’s Specialists & you will too. This is a the BEST medical practice for women. Doctors are compassionate and so sweet. The staff is as well. I highly recommend their them.

I went for my annual checkup and I need a ultrassom . It was not possible to do this as I had too much pai.n that day . So the nurse told me to come again in 10 days what I did . Well the second visit she did the ultrassom and told me to take some medicine as I was constipated and Dr Mc Cool never talk to me that day .. even so I received 2 bills for the doctor appointment and 2 bills for the ultrassom even if I had to come back because of they couldn’t t do it properly due pain ! I don t think it’s fair . They never told me they were going to charge me twice for the same service - it was my annual check up so..

I absolutely hate coming here. I dont know which doctor it is but its the old lady, and she judges me so much every time I come in and it makes me extremely uncomfortable. The staff who works is is also very rude most of the time and will treat you like an idiot.
