Rain was the Nurse or technician that answered my call and not only was she SO informed with her answers to my questions, she was patient - d considerate of my time and the issue I was having.

I refuse to go anywhere else, yes I have my personal OBGYN but here I feel safe. I’ve come here just about every year for my wellness exam and other screenings . This place has also been exceptional for me as a survivor. I will forever support clinics such as these and stand behind the women who have helped me in many ways .

I had 2, yes TWO really great experiences at this particular Planned Parenthood (Ferndale, MI). The staff was very friendly and super personable especial Rachel, CNM, Celina and Elizabeth. Rachel was very patient taking time to explain things to me thoroughly each visit. I did not feel rushed at all. All of the above-mentioned individuals made be feel seen and heard, and all of my issues were addressed with care and consideration!! I highly recommend this location!!

Oh my goodness go here they are absolutely incredible. They will make it affordable for you to have proper family planning and birth control. They are so knowledgeable patient kind and respectful. I was seen by Celena and Rachelle. I got the birth control implant in my arm and was incredibly nervous. They sat with me and talked for over an hour and a half addressing my questions, concerns and options, I cannot say enough good things Or express how grateful I am even Claire at the front desk was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I thank God for my experience there.

Left in a room half naked for 2 hours thinking that somebody was going to see me for an exam. I had to walk out and reschedule.It was so hard sitting there when nurses outside the room laughing and having a good time. All they do is take your BP. She asked me why did I come in and I said that i had discharge that smelled like bread. (Bread=yeast)… and she laughed and said nobody ever explained it like that. I purposely think that they hired her from Craig list and isn’t very firm in the Obgyn unit.I went to the front and rescheduled the appointment. I asked her why did they leave me naked from the half down in the room for 2 hours and without checking in their patients. She looked at me with an attitude and said they was backed up. So y’all have a room full of nurses back there with absolute nothing to do but gossip. But no doctors. Got you…If you like hanging out teenagers walking around with a BP cuff. This is the place for you. I left out with the same symptoms that I came in with. Left driving home, thinking that I had insurance, I picked this time, just to leave with no one seeing what’s wrong with me. Also she didn’t reschedule the appointment. This would not be a place that I would donate to.Also to note, the nurse came to the front and walks back to the back. She was apart of the chatty group in the back. Such a shame.UPDATE: looked in the app, she never rescheduled my appointment. Left home in tears. If yall have all that time to talk to each other. Why couldn’t take the time out your day to inform your patients of the waits. This was not comforting. Instead of the nurses trying to figure out how to help you. They will literally look at you. I literally have to go to the ER to see what’s wrong with me and pray because I can’t wait another week after waiting for 2 hours.If you’re black. You’re better off going to your PCP. I’m literally not the only person who said this. I wish it was better healthcare for black women and people who take our health seriously. Literally still crying as im writing this. Healthcare is going up but the quality of the establishments is going down.

The provider was kind, gentle, thoughtful and understanding. all of my questions were well received and answered with care. the front desk staff and medical assistants were also lovely and helpful. i highly recommend coming here, especially for anyone who has had difficult experiences or whose pain has not been taken seriously during exams elsewhere.

The staff was really nice. The nurse heather was very accommodating and understanding towards my concerns and showed proper care and empathy. Would definitely come here again in the future.

From the moment I checked in, I felt totally at home here. Thanks for the care and hospitality Selena and Dr. Rachel! Easy breezy checkup and fast service. Really grateful to have Planned Parenthood as a resource for all bodies 💗

Went here for a birth control consultant and they gave me a implant removed the wrap today and seen my arms were covered in bruises from where it inserted

Before today Ive had pretty good experiences with this location. But today made me lose my patience. I dont know who or what was to blame, but I was forgotten about in my exam room for almost an hour. Considering that I have a schedule and a life, I had to get up and leave without being seen. It was a total waste of my time. Im not sure Ill be coming to this location again.

This location is either racist, biased or both or whatever. I went here to get a procedure done 5 years ago and was turned around when I got there saying the practitioner had a family emergency Cool no problem. I scheduled my service somewhere else. It’s time to have it done again, I scheduled my appointment to have a procedure locally (I TAKE OFF WORK AGAIN) to have this done. I get there and they say I’m sorry our practitioner had a family emergency lmmao you serious. I will never return. If you’re black stay away from here. I said what I said.

Very personal and friendly and a good experience over all. The staff were very nice.

This place honestly can use some help. Management should step up and see that this place need some managing. Plannned Parenthood for me is a valuable place for anyone needs reliable affordable convenient health care(like what doctor office gives you resources to actually help you ). This location struggle to show the convenience and benefits that Planned Parenthood has because Of long wait times. I waited a hour for a 10 min consultation appt. I was hearing and listening to the apologies of the time about the wait I’m very understanding but they was struggling to maintain the flow of the appts and the time for patients.

The receptionist is sweet as pie friendly. The medical assistant or nurse, not so much. The doctor was awesome. Dont expect any appointment to be on time or fast though. I wasnt even taken to the exam room until an hour later than my scheduled appointment time. In total I spent 2.5 hours here.

I came all the way down from Tuscola County for an IUD placement, and I’m so glad that I did. These are some of the kindest, most caring and considerate people I’ve ever met. Much love to these folks here in Ferndale 💕

Every time I go to this location they give me a hassle. They say they have no walk-ins available when the lobby is completely empty. The women working there are rude and lazy and change the price on me every time I go there. I’m not sure what their problem is, maybe just miserable people that hate their jobs and make an effort to avoid helping.

The staff really makes sure you are calm and comfortable… they give very good advice and even a nice hug if you need it… Thank you so much Megan and Rachelle for all your help

Service is great once you are actually able to get an appointment. Have been trying to book online and get through via phone for 2 months for an appointment. Every date is always grayed out once you select a reason. When you call, you will be on hold for 25 minutes then get sent to a voicemail box never received a callback. Will just go to my PCP now.

Exam was quick and painless. Don’t expect them to remember what you need though. Remind them several times if you are there for an exam and also want a script for birth control. Told the receptionist at check in that I needed it written which it was not. Despite my telling them that I have anxiety about going to the doctor they refused to have a script written after my exam and told me I had to reschedule for a consultation. Probably going to use another location from now on. I don’t care how much further away it is this was really upsetting to me.

I have been coming here for a couple of years, and am a staunch advocate of PP, but this particular office has really gone downhill. Every time I had gone in, I was told I could pick up my prescription at any time. I drove 2 hours round trip on my 1 day off in September just to be told I couldnt pick up my medicine til after mid-October.Drove back in October got home to find that I had been given a different medicine than what I was prescribed.I have actually been in the hospital before due to side effects of changing a medicine too quickly, its not something to mess with. Im honestly shocked that this happened, and that the receptionist barely said two words to me, or any other patient in the office the last few times.Better communication between doctors and/or receptionists and the patients would be extremely beneficial, as well as making sure patients get their correct medicine.Im definitely going to be finding a new place to go.

I couldnt recommend this place enough! I went here to have a Copper IUD installed and the staff here was all friendly, cheerful and understanding. Getting the IUD went so much more smoothly than I expected, the nurse and her assistant always talked me through every step of the procedure and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. They answered every question I had in as much detail as I needed. I HIGHLY recommend the Planned Parenthood of Ferndale, dont be shy to go. ❤

I initally made this appoinment a wekk prior. I gave all my proper insurance info. I arrived thirty minutes before the appointment. Upon going inside I was not greeted by the receptionist or asked my name for the appointment. She then got me mixed up with another affrican american female who was in there. I read the sign that said allow twenty minutes for us to get the paperwork ready I was given the paperwork 20 min prior. I waited until it was twenty minutes past my appotinment time to ask them what was taking so long The receptionist had no idea. Which made me think why is she at the front esk if she cant do her job which is to make sure all people on the log are either being seen or about to be seen. After i told her i had been there for almost an hour. She acted likeit was no big deal. I told her I needed her to cancel my apointment, I would not recommned this planned parenthood to anyone who is having a real emergency. They lack empathy and do not seem knowledgeable in regards to how a medical facility works.

Im late posting this, as this happened back in August of 2020, but this clinic saved my life.I went in thinking I had a miscarriage, but after they performed ultrasounds and blood tests, they advised me to go to an emergency room as they suspected a continuing pregnancy. I went to an ER asap, where it was confirmed I had an ectopic just outside my left ovary. Unfortunately, I needed my left fallopian tube removed, and it took days for me to recover, but I am alive and well and happy today. I shudder to think what may have happened to me had I not made my appointment, and had the staff at this Planned Parenthood not been prompt and professional with my care. I cant thank you all enough. I owe you my life 💖

Ive been going to this PP since its first opened its doors and I must say that they are increasingly better today than before. Im fairly certain that its the new staff. They were amazing, polite, insightful, nice, and very caring. The energy in the building is even different. I would definitely recommend this PP.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is slow and unorganized. Plan on being there all day no matter what you are going in for. I went there for a std check. They immideately gave me medicine for a bacterial infection but nothing else. I called week later to hear my results and they told me I declined the std check. Thats the whole reason I went in!! Even the doctor said they would call me in a week with the results. Very unprofessional, I wont be back.

I scheduled a appointment online and got a confirmation! two weeks later when I arrive for my appointment somehow they did not have my appointment in the system this was very frustrating because I left work early, but the receptionist was so sweet, professional and nice and she did schedule me another appointment because of her great customer service I was not as a set as I would’ve been.

Made a stressful situation a fun, mostly relaxed one 💖

So whats the point purpose of ,when you get to the parking to and have to call to check in and have to wait until they call you to go in, I usually go to the Warren Never Never had Any issue. yes this place the personal is friendly But they dont clean the rooms ,they dirty dirty I would not go back again I will have to go back to the Warren location ...

Comfortable environment and no judgment at all. Everything is organized and they give so much information. Employees are really nice and comforting.

I always go here and end up waiting a good 45 minutes just for a refill, even if I call ahead. Be prepared to be hung up on by receptionists with an attitude when you call to ask a question! Alicia is very good at that!

The staff is nice, the clinician was thorough and took my pain seriously. The facility is really clean and the Covid protocols made me feel safe.

Everybody here is very nice and welcoming, and they’re taking great covid-19 precautions and they’re always on time for appointments!

Slow but worth it they try to help

Next to impossible to get anyone to answer. As soon as you’re there you don’t ever hear the phone ring yet they have you on hold for over 10 minutes just for it to keep saying “high call volumes”

Awesome customer service! Make sure to request a day off of work because you will be waiting for a while.

My doctor is so friendly and helpful. The staff is very nice as well.
