Planned Parenthood - Fort Collins

The care and compassion provided by staff here is outstanding. I can tell that folks choose to work here because they care deeply about their patients and are passionate about the services they provide. At a time where the reproductive healthcare is limited in access, this organization is even more important. I’ve been seen at this location 2-3 times and have felt more validated here than any other medical facility I’ve been to. The staff are patient and answered my questions fully. I’ll definitely be coming here for all of my reproductive healthcare while I live in Fort Collins!

Easy to make appointment. Seen on time. Nurse I worked with (massive gauges, face piercings, knuckle tattoos) was incredibly insensitive, belittling, and generally inconsiderate. I was in a rough place at this appointment, and I felt the only person supporting me (my husband) was being treated as if he was a threat to my health. I would not recommend this location (specifically this nurse) to anyone going through a tough decision. Nurse never even fully went over all my options/ risks. I was treated as a regular or experienced client, even though this was my first time here, and was incredibly nervous/ unprepared.

This location is completely worthless. They won’t do ANY bloodwork because they don’t have the staff to do it supposedly. They also wouldn’t do it because I can’t have blood work on the bends of my arms and need it done at another location and they supposedly don’t have that staff. They were out of some of the tests too, so they used that as an excuse not to do ANY. I literally came for an STD test and did not get one. Abby and Emily do not know what they are doing and ask the same questions the other asked. Then the office manager (she was wearing red/purple today) will refuse to give you a Medicaid ride and will lie to you that they can’t schedule it, which they can do. I’ve been on Medicaid my whole life and have gotten Medicaid rides home in the middle of the night even all over the state. They can schedule one from a doctors appointment. Then when you get angry because you wasted 90$ to get here for nothing they will get their security guard to tell you that they’ll ask you to leave if you continue. I heard other patients in other rooms ask things in the hallway like “did you forget about me?” as well. Nothing but intimidating and incompetence at this location. The other staff was always just standing around laughing etc. Avoid at all costs

Everyone working here were absolute angels during my visit! I traveled out of state as they had the soonest availability for an appointment after I found out that I miscarried. I felt so safe and valued before, during, and after my procedure. The staff was so understanding and compassionate. They definitely made this difficult time much easier to get through.

If you want compassionate, caring and well-organized healthcare, this is the place. The staff are all so kind, knowledgeable and really take the time to care for you as an individual ! If you want to schedule an IUD with a lidocaine or pain meds, all you have to do is ask (and remember to bring a ride home). Clean clinic, security guards that keep you safe and what seems like a cool bunch of people! Love the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood!

How are you going to charge $625 for all 3 abortions and try to act like the pricetag cant be lowered. I absolutely regret ever doing Canvassing for PP and Im glad I pinched my pockets when I worked for them. Theyre not here to help, theyre here to make money.

Fantastic experience! They were able to help me with my copay and cover my entire appointment cost, they were kind and I have no idea who these other people worked with because my experience was completely opposite. The nurses were very laid back and professional, the doctor was happy to answer any question I had regardless of how dumb it sounded, and gave me several options for birth control and explained the pros and cons of all of them. the nurses stayed with me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible the entire time. Shout out to Jade, Tiana, Allie, Erin and Shauna especially, you ladies rock ❤️❤️

With the few negative reviews, I was worried about a negative experience. But to my surprise everyone that I talked to and engaged with were extremely nice and made me feel cared for. The nurses were so kind and answered all my questions. During and after my procedure I was cared for and comfortable. The only part that was annoying was the protesting, but they had security that gave me a sense of safety the whole time.

I had a really great experience at Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins. My visit included me being there for a few hours and going through with a procedure where I needed a lot of emotional support. Right from the beginning, the front desk worker was kind, informative and respectful. I had the pleasure of interacting with about 6 of the women who worked there and they were all absolutely wonderful. I felt seen, cared for and supported the entire time. I’m really grateful for these women and how they showed up for me. I would highly recommend this clinic to any person needing reproductive health care of any kind!

Truly one of the best visits to any doctor’s office I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Please, do not engage with the people handing out flowers in the driveway. They are taking plate numbers down. They often have people across the street, photographing vehicles going in and out. They are not a pro-life group. They are a christo-fascist, alt-right nationalist organization preying on those in vulnerable moments and reporting plate numbers to people building antifascist watchlists since 2020. Do Not Engage With Them.

The best medical care i have ever received. all the staff was extremely supportive and kind. i felt so comfortable being here.

I had been going here for a few years after my last visit I won’t be coming back. I was told that I needed a new prescription for depo. I was never told I needed this and they wanted me to spend over 200 for that prescription. They then decided since I was a week late on my depo that I needed to take a pregnancy test. I asked the front desk when I arrived if I needed to take one since I had to go when I arrived and was told no. Then this happened and when I started questioning it I was demanded with new staff and more rude responses. I have not been back and won’t ever due to this.

The people here are absolutely amazing! So caring and thoughtful and they make you feel so at ease!

I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years and I have had better experiences at other locations in Colorado. The last two appointments I have had, they have called me to tell me that a nurse practitioner will not be in the day of my appointment with only a days notice. It seems like their nurse practitioners can call out whenever they feel like it. The soonest they can get me in was 7 days later, which isn’t terrible, but I plan my appointments around not only my schedule, but my cycle. The waiting times throughout the years has not improved as well. If you can visit another location, do it. Don’t waste your time trying to make an appointment at this specific location due to their nurse practitioners constantly calling out and their outrageous wait times.

I’m from a star where our laws on female reproduction aren’t illegal but highly restrictive. I was having complications & sought out help. It was a heartbreaking process for me personally, the staff provided detailed information & post care instructions. Everyone was kind, punctual, thorough, attentive, and most importantly supportive & non judgmental throughout my visits. As a team, they’re communication & patient organization skills were immaculate. We ran into a few pro lifers after my appointment, however they weren’t badgering or as aggressive as the media portrayed them, they also gave me resources for my mental health & emotional well being on top of the ones I got from my wonderful care team. If you are someone from a hostile or heavily restricted state that needs help & you’re reading this because Colorado ended up on your list, they will help you & make your difficult decision easier.

EDIT 2023: I dont know if its the current political atmosphere, but the care, organization, and empathy here has improved drastically. I am increasing my rating because of this.We moved here less than a year ago, and I always get my depo shots at a Planned Parent hood. Ive never had this many problems with a Planned Parent hood ever. First of all, its impossible to call them and get a real person. When you use the callback option, no one ever calls you back. Ive made several appointments here, and every single time Ive always had to wait an obnoxious amount of time past my appointment just to get seen. Why even bother scheduling appointments if you wont even see anyone at their scheduled time? The front desk can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, other times they are so rude. In all, it takes way too much time for just a poke. No one knows how to communicate or record things, so make sure you have records for EVERYTHING. A lot of times they dont even check your chart until youre back there with them. They are extremely disorganized, and your care for the exact same thing will vary wildly from visit to visit.

I’ve been using planned parenthood for GAHT, everyone has been so kind and incredibly helpful. This location has been especially wonderful in making sure I feel safe and welcome, the staff all treated me kindly, 10/10 would recommend!

Update;I went for another removal/replacement today. They are so nice and caring. If you are a survivor, they will make sure you are informed before they do anything, step by step. I didn’t know it would be triggering for me but I’m so glad I came here. They comforted me and checked on me multiple times during and after the procedure.I’ve had an IUD removal here and just got a new one put in. Everyone here is so nice and caring and friendly. They make sure you have all the information you need before the procedure and after.I will definitely be coming back here.

Terrible. The entire staff is judgey. Lots of side eye and if you ask them a question without being directly spoken to, they stare at you.I made an appointment and they, “couldn’t find it in their system.” Instead, they sent over a non medical professional to berate me with personal questions to determine if I was pregnant, rather than giving me the pregnancy test I scheduled. When they couldn’t find my appointment, their stories changed three times.Go somewhere else.

Scheduled appointment for birth control 3 weeks ago. Day before appointment I got a voicemail saying they cancelled because the providers would not be in that day? Even though I got the voicemail I kept getting reminders that my appointment was confirmed. I tried calling, waited two hours on the phone to try and figure out what was going on, left call back number and nothing. There was just really poor communication and getting cancelled on last minute

The providers at this location are literally the absolute best! There were some issues placing an IUD - my body was just being extra difficult but they were super sweet, patient and kind to me the entire time! I had limited availability to come back due to work and they were able to get me another appointment the next morning with a doctor & ultrasound and have it placed in less than 30 minutes! Everyone made me feel so comfortable & assured that we would be able to figure everything out! I am beyond happy with my experience - in the end they made sure I walked away with exactly what I wanted!

I received at least six text messages not to miss my appointment and probably another five or six emails as well as a phone call. About an hour and 40 minutes before my scheduled appointment, which was scheduled for weeks, I received a call from the office— both physicians have elected to call out for the day and they need to reschedule my appointment. Now I have to wait an additional three weeks to get an appointment. No effort was made to fit me into either Dr. schedule in a timely manner. This is pretty unacceptable for women’s or anyone’s healthcare.

The entire staff from front to back was just incredible, Ive never had so much fun getting an annual pelvic exam ...theres probably a better way to say that.Everyone was welcoming, informative, and had excellent senses of humor. Ive always trusted planned parenthood with my gynecological care at other locations, but the Fort Collins branch has got to be my new favorite. Well worth the drive to recieve exemplary care.

I saw quite a few reviews regarding lower ratings for wait times, answering calls, scheduling (I didnt have any of these problems).However, at a facility like this what matters most is the quality of care. From my experience they have a wonderful, caring staff. I was treated with respect and compassion. Honestly, I couldnt have asked for a better experience.I highly recommend Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins. These professionals are heros, especially considering the political struggles they have to endure. They deserve a 5 start rating.Thanks for empowering and supporting the women of our community.

I had a great experience. I had never been before but when I called ahead with questions everyone was super helpful. Every step of the process I never felt uncomfortable or that my case didn’t matter. They even had an escort outside to get to your car. Even a day later I had an incredible pain but they talked me through it and made sure I was okay even though I’m sure they were extremely busy. I appreciate this place so much and commend all of them and the people come her for having to deal with the protestors outside. Thank you to everyone at this planned parenthood who made this such smooth process for me.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They were very rude and would not listen. One of the ladies who work here grabbed my arm and when I told her not to touch me, she continued to claim that she never once touched me. She called security and I had to leave. I need a procedure done because they messed up the first one. I went to the er because of it. Half of the workers should be fired for how rude they are. Now I have to spend the rest of my day at the hospital. Worst experience by far. They claimed I was lying about being in the emergency room and about my diagnosis. Very unprofessional.

I drove nearly an hour to get to this location because my local planned parenthood has been closed. Claimed I didn’t have an appointment set up. A waste of two hours of time and my gas. It only takes 5 minutes to inject depo, but claimed they didn’t have time!

I have been a patient at Planned Parenthood since 2007, and I cannot speak highly enough about the service they provide. The staff is well knowledged and makes sure all available options are discussed with you both presently and for the future. The staff is warm, unbiased, and professional. Only go here if you want remarkable care.

Always feel safe, supported, and cared for here. Went here in college for my birth control, which was cheap. They helped me make right decisions for my body and coached me through some health scares too.

Horrible service every time I’ve been here (4+ times). The worst planned parenthood in Northern Colorado by far. The doctors and assistants are rude and disrespectful to patients, and inconsiderate of feelings. They are disorganized, have long wait times, can’t handle their appointments, and many other things. My sister and I both hate coming here, and wouldn’t besides the fact that there is no other planned parenthood in Fort Collins. I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The employees at the front desk are always very sweet. The rest of the experience is awful though. The billing system is a nightmare. I have had more than one issue involving them saying I havent paid a bill that I had already paid. The first time, I caught it pretty quick thankfully but the most recent time I didnt realize they had done this until I got a call from collections. They had been sending bills to the wrong address even though I have attempted to have that corrected multiple times with them. Make sure you keep ALL records of service and payments if you opt to go here. As other reviews state, expect to be waiting here for quite a while before you are seen as well.

For medical purposes, this place is great. Service wise, its hit or miss. For a basic pickup, sometimes its come in and pick up, in and out in 10 minutes or less. Lately, its been pretty ridiculous. They tell me to call in my pickup, and I do. They say it will be ready in two hours. I show up in three hours, or more, and its not even started. This has happened three out of four of the last pickups. Wait times are getting worse too - today I waited 30 minutes even though I called 3 hours ahead. I dont even see the point of calling them in at all. Aside from that, sometimes they are rude. Todays manager who helped me refused to make eye contact after making me wait 30 minutes. While medically, the doctors are nice and helpful, the service staff up front is just too inconsistent, and I dont like wasting so much time just picking up a prescription.

There is no consistency in the care you receive here. One Dr told me One thing and scheduled me for an appointment the following week at which time the second dr told me something entirely different and wasted 3 hours of my day. The staff did not listen or correctly document the medication I am on or my medical history which is frustrating after spending 30 min waiting in my car while I am on the phone going over it with them. I don’t even think they were listening. Then when I went to pick up my prescription I heard the staff talking about how I was Just misinformed By them about how many months I could get and then they discussed how they would just Tell me they didn’t have enough because that is easier. Which is exactly what they did. It was just a poor experience both visits and I’m very disappointed.

It was the most traumatizing experience. I understand the limitations of planned parenthood due to funding, but they should have sent an email prior to your appt about what to expect and what those limitations were so you had full disclosure and didnt feel like you were giving up your rights and forced to sacrifice how you need to cope. For instance NO ONE can go with you into your appointments. At NO point during any of the 3 stages of my process, was my boyfriend allowed to be in the room with me, even though he was supposed to be allowed for part of the second stage. So you have to do everything by yourself even if you had your s.o. fly across the country to be with you. And theres no warning. Nothing is stated on the website, during the appointment phone call, when you check in, nowhere are you warned until they call you down and then turn away your support person, at which point its too late to back out depending on your circumstance. Everything was performed by a resident in training. The waiting room was dark and depressing. We were there almost 7 hours. The whole ordeal was more traumatizing than it ever should have been and I feel that the policies are cruel and should be clearly stated somewhere prior to showing up for your appointment. If you want someone with you, and thats important to you and your healing process, definitely do not go here. This was one of the hardest days of my life and I feel like it could have been a healing process at the same time, but I was robbed of that choice. Planned parenthood is ruined forever for me which is super sad considering Im very pro choice and pro birth control.

I had a great experience getting an IUD here. PP billed by insurance and the procedure was free to me. I was treated courteously and efficiently, and was on my way home within an hour of my appointment time. Thanks, Planned Parenthood!

I love Planned Parenthood, but this location is awful. It takes about two hours to simply get a depo shot and that is with an appointment. Walk ins seem to have better luck with being seen in a timely manner.Each time I have been here, something goes wrong and the staff never recognizes it or apologizes for the inconvenience. Its so bad that Im willing to switch to the Greeley location.

I went in there for birth control and they were supposed to call in my prescription and never did. They’re nice and all but it’s super unprofessional to never call such an important prescription into the pharmacy. So, basically I paid $50.00 for them to do nothing 🙄. And I have no birth control and it’s impossible to reach them on the phone.

Not only do they have a great staff, but they’re open on a Saturday!!! They were supportive and informative about different birth controls. They are difficult to get on the phone they do call back! If you call early they most likely will pick up right away.

Customer service is good what the kicker is WAITING 6 HOURS for an appointment. Go to a private practise much cheaper and youre out in 2 hours. Will never come back. Couldnt believe it. Wow just wow

When i leave they tell me i don’t owe anything, but it turns out i owe more than $200 that had added up from previous visits. went somewhere else for a test and wasn’t nearly half the hassle that it was going here and it was free.

Went here waited for 6 hours to get in. During the process they call you down for each step you pay either $465 for positive blood type and $525 for negitive that includes EVERYTHING for the visit according to them. I had negitive which means i had to get a rhogam shot which they tried to say it was $60 extra i told them i wasnt paying that because they told me the 525 included it all so they gave it to me free. After that i went down for the actual procedure i was going to get the IV pain medicine but changed my mind last minute to the pills when i told that to the lady she said okay well hold on while i get you refund. I wasnt even informed that i paid an extra $50 for the IV so than i realized not only did they charge extra for the shot but for the IV. They did not give me a refund what so ever the front desk lady said the reason they arent refunding is due to the free shot. They tell you to go home and if you have pain to take 400ml ibuprofin when you research that is the one pain relief not recomended. Also, they are supposed prescribe you pain relief for worse cramps they did not do that either. I am now at home taking my own 800ml ibuprofin and am in extreme pain. Very terrible experience.

Planned Parenthood has been my family planning provider of choice for the last 20 years. They have excellent care, excellent staff, and a profound mission to support women in their lives, no matter what. I cant imagine my world without Planned Parenthood!

My wife got an IUD here. Was told the cost would be 560 total. She has insurance so there was no outof pocket at time of service but the statement came from insurance saying they charged $1,007 and we owe some.....are you kidding how do you almost dbl charge just because its insurance. To top it off since her appt we get emails daily looking for donations and funding. The way they are ripping off insurances they shouldnt need anymore. So is my wife $1000 IUD magically better then the $560 ppl pay when its out of pocket......INSURANCE FRAUD

Saved my freaking life. Suffering from hemmoraghic ovarian cyst and struggled to get someone to administer depo. Same day walk in and these people here took care of me. The love, thanks and appreciate I have for this place is endless 🖤🖤🖤

The staff is always super friendly, very helpful and the prices are so fair. I used to pay almost $200 with associates in family medicine for a depo shot, here I pay a flat $89.

I mean the whole thing is kind of ghetto which is never good when its medical. They have interns all the time, training...this is a personal thing but i feel that when dealing with obgyn needs guys arent really perferred or needed. They just kind of made everything worse. I would explain but i dont need to be rude..

Thankful and glad services like these exist for women! I scheduled an appointment online but showed up two hours early because I was on that side of town and they got me in and out within 30 minutes.

Was stressful with payment options they made me pay out of pocket i was under the assumption that planned parenthood would help people like me who have low income and I thought I could pay it over time it put stress on me before my iud appointment and I think it just could have gone smoother everyone was nice i just wish I had understood better the iud went smoothly

One of the only places you can be tested for HIV on the spot. Also the only place Ive gone for routine testing that dont get interrogated or lectured. If theres ever a counter protest to those jerks who stand outside with their signs, Id be the first person there.

Today I had The displeasure of talking to nancy sh was rude and belittling towards a Spanish speaking friend that I was Helping and wasn’t sure what she was doing definitely recommended asking for someone else if you are calling and she answers

Great staff, they take the time to listen to all of your concerns and go over every detail from front to back. I felt important and that I was worth their time.

Their inability to answer the phone makes it nearly impossible without just walking in to make appointments, get followup information, or speak to someone about any concerns. You cannot run a doctors office in 2020 without a phone. The callback feature doesnt work either. Winning.

Ive been coming to this location for a long time. Theyre always nice and I dont typically have to wait long. Definitely better than the Longmont location.

I had an amazing experience here and was treated with respect and kindness, the staff here is amazing.

Cost is outrageous. They say to wait 4 to 6 hours it was longer then 7. The workers were really nice

2 1/2 hours on hold Friday and finally gave up and did the call back thing and it’s Monday and I never received a call back. Once again I’m on hold for 2 hours and STILL no answer!!! What a joke.
