Sincera Reproductive Medicine - Fort Washington

While I would first like to state the doctors and nurses who cared for me during my fertility journey were amazing however, to my knowledge none of them work at Sincera anymore.Sincera’s billing department told me that IVF through my insurance plan was 100% covered. Therefore, we headed through with IVF with grateful (due to our insurance coverage) and hopeful hearts. It wasn’t until after my second transfer which lead to pregnancy that then I started to receive bills for around $16,000 when I was originally told it would be 100% covered. I spoke with the billing department supervisors on multiple occasions who stated that they were placing appeals on our behalf etc. to which no appeal was ever placed. It is unethical and an unruly practice to ensure to your patients that a service is covered and then send bills for $16,000 when now we have a child to care for. There has been so many changes within the billing department as well that having someone respond to an email or call is impossible. This is the last thing that you want to occur to you when you are going through IVF. These bills are not our fault. It was misinformation provided by your billing department and that should not fall on your patients.Please do better with your billing department. There has been no help at all and it is really sad to see what has come of this practice.

One of my biggest regrets was ever getting involved with Sincera. My IVF experience was disorganized and it felt like the nurses and doctors were reading from a chart rather than understanding me and my situation as a patient and human being. After 4 months of constant set backs I finally had my first egg retrieval - after extracting a large amount of eggs, I was left with only 2 embryos which I received via email and no call. When I called to understand what happened, I was told that I should be happy to even have 1 embryo and when I asked about the grades of the embryos, the response was you must be reading infertility blogs, we dont do that here. I went forward with the embryo transfer, which was also very disorganized. I was in and out in 5-10 minutes and was not even aware the transfer happened - I was walked through the test and then told I was done. Not surprisingly, the transfer did not work.I left immediately and went to Shady Grove with Dr. Martin and had the absolute best experience. Same # of eggs retrieved and 8 embryos - all of which were graded. Im currently 9 months pregnant as a result. I felt completely supported and well educated during the entire process. Best decision ever.Since leaving Sincera Ive been sent an invoice for a large amount due without any explanation. It took 3-4 phone calls to finally reach someone who could explain the charges. Even then, that person had a hard time understanding the ins and outs... I am now trying to dispose of my 1 remaining embryo - I sent in the form but received no confirmation and instead an invoice for storage. It seems like anyone I had previous contact with at Sincera is no longer with the company...This place is so disorganized and I am so disappointed in myself for not heeding the other reviews. I would not wish this level of service on anyone going through this very stressful and vulnerable situation.

This is an emotional time for every couple having to experience it. The secretary was really nasty and rude to both my husband and I. I was almost in tears on the phone with how nasty she was being to me. Here we are just trying to have a baby and its been a difficult journey. The last thing we need to a secretary that treats us like absolute garbage. Save your mental health. Do not go here. If there is someone higher up reading this message, I would love to have a phone call about that heartbreakingly rude experience that I had with your employee.follow up- We switched over to Shady Grove with Dr. Martin. We really feel like we are in good hands here. We are going to do our first egg retrieval at the end of this month. Go to Shady Grove. This is too important of an event to let Sincera ruin it.

As stated in a previous review, “Do not walk, RUN away from this practice”. We began our fertility journey in 2018, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019, and have received multiple rounds of IVF to store and freeze embryos. During this time my husband and I were able to retrieve 5 embryos (2 viable and 3 abnormal). Due to this facilities lack of organization, communication, etc. we decided to move to another practice. We recently began the process of transferring our viable embryos to the new practice. Last week we had scheduled an appointment to transfer OUR embryos however, once we attempted the transfer process, we found out Sincera Reproductive Medicine had kept our 3 non-viable embryos. After repeated requests to only transfer the viable embryos we were told “this is not our policy”. We have been willing to sign documents to destroy our 3 abnormal embryos as they cannot be used and THIS SHOULD NOT BE Sincera’s decision. We have been unaware that Sincera continued to keep and store these embryos since we are unable to use them. Additionally, we have requested for our 2 viable embryos to be transferred to our new practice so we can move forward with our fertility journey. Sincera continues to refuse to transfer our 2 viable embryos and it has been relayed to us that based on their “new policy” we will need to transfer all embryos or nothing. This process with Sincera Reproductive Medicine has been more stressful than dealing with cancer. Currently, we are unable to move forward with the fertility process as our viable embryos are being held hostage by this practice. I ADVISE ANYONE TO PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PRACTICE SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH A SIMILAR SITUATION.

They told us NOT to do genetic testing. We suffered 2 miscarriages and 1 chemical pregnancy each one taking a massive toll on my mental and physical health.They would send me home with my list of medications to take that were incorrect on several occasions.Most of the people working there were kind but it’s way too expensive to not have the best care.We went to Shady Grove and had my beautiful daughter FIRST TRY. We weren’t scammed out of thousands of dollars like we were at Sincera.

Please do not go here. Avoid the heartache, sadness, and disappointment that I endured while being a patient with Sincera and go to SGF. The nurses at Sincera are mostly awful and uneducated, the reception staff is rude and unhelpful and will demand payment while youre standing the their waiting room crying due to bad news in an appointment, the doctors can only stick to one very limited protocol which doesnt work for everyone, and their lab is awful (they ignore research stating, for instance, that day 5 embryos are more successful than day 7 embryos and always grow your embryo until day 7, inexplicably, just as one example). Since leaving, all but Dr. Somkuti have left and theyve left for a reason - Sincera does not care about you being successful, they just want your money. After being a patient for over a year with disappointment after disappointment, my husband and I decided to switch to SGF and I am now 10 weeks pregnant. Sincera is the issue, not you! Stay away if you want to have a baby.

I have nothing but great things to say about my interactions with and the care provided by the medical team at Sincera. My husband and I first met with Dr. Barmat in March of 2019 due to a chromosomal translocation which we fortunately knew about in advance. Since then, I have had three egg retrievals (two performed by Dr. Somkuti and one by Dr. Barmat), 1 D&E, and four embryo transfers (all performed by Dr. Barmat). Although our journey was a lot longer than we anticipated, I never doubted the care I was receiving at Sincera. I always felt like Dr. Barmat empowered us with the information we needed regarding our situation, other testing options and shared his opinion, but ultimately let us make the decision that we felt was best for us. Dr. Barmat is incredibly gifted and knowledgeable, and I don’t think I could have survived some of my darkest days if he weren’t there to encourage us to stay the course.All of the nurses, PAs and NPs were also always there for me throughout our time at Sincera, especially since my husband couldn’t be there for any of the appts due to Covid. I never felt like a number, and I truly felt like our success was their success. Kelsey deserves special thanks because she might be the most patient, caring, positive person I have ever interacted with.There is definitely room for improvement when it comes to the billing department. With that being said, I did speak with people in this department to share my concerns. They were appreciative of the feedback and wanted to learn how they could improve.Overall, Dr. Barmat, Dr. Somkuti, my girl Kelsey, and the rest of the team at Sincera went above and beyond to care for us, address concerns/questions, offer smiles, encouragement, and compassion, and I am forever grateful for my interactions with each of them. Thanks to our friends at Sincera, we are expecting a baby girl this spring.

I was referred to go here by my ob-gyn office. First phone call was great, felt very well taken care of. Was told I would recieve a call in about a week about insurance coverage and what I would owe etc. Did not hear anything until I called about a week later. The lady on the other end acted like she never spoke with me and I was hard to find in their system even though I had a virtual appt. Scheduled 11/18, she said someone should get back to me shortly. Called that Monday or Tuesday-week of my appointment, lady told me they would call me sometime today, did not recieve a call. I called again the Wednesday before and canceled, still did not hear anything from the financial counselor. I understand people are busy but they clearly did not care about their patient. Receptionist also kept asking me if I wanted to cancel , yes, I do. No one has called me from billing department like you said they would prior to my appointment. Still have heard nothing from them and it has been 10 days guess they do not care to get new business! Would not recommend them to anyone and I will also tell my doctor to stop as well.

My individual experience with Sincera Reproductive has been an absolute nightmare!!! I was with them for about 4 years. I’ve had multiple egg retrievals and 4 embryo transfers, all of which were unsuccessful. I’ve had cycles cancelled bc of miscommunication with the staff not correctly documenting my correct dosage of medications. Their favorite line is “ if you don’t hear from us, your results are good, nothing has changed.” I’ve had multiple issues with reaching anyone from the Billing department for bills I did not owe, but kept getting billed for. In general to get anyone on the phone is a hassle. I just received a bill from Sincera 1 year after leaving them for embryo storage. I have zero embryos with them. I left Sincera in 2020 and went to RMA it was the best decision of my life!!! The manor in which RMA operates with professionalism puts Sincera to shame. The communication amongst the staff is top notch, no matter which clinic location I go to they are all on one the same page as it relates to my care. I’ve had 1 round of egg retrieval, 1 embryo transfer and I’m now pregnant with my 1st child. In my line of work, I’ve met pts severely ill and should be focused on their care share their experiences with Sincera, heartbreaking. I felt as if Sincera took advantage of my family financially and emotionally. They have put us through hell! I felt like a MRI (medical record identification). If you’re weighing your options please stay away from this place!

My experience with Sincera Reproductive Medicine was an absolute nightmare! I went through months of testing and more months of waiting for them to be able to fit in my IVF into their schedule. I paid over $20,000 out of pocket (including $4500 in non-refundable medication). At my first appointment for the IVF cycle, this time with a different doctor, I was told I had a low egg count and would not likely be successful. I soon realized that each doctor had vastly different opinions and it depended on who you talk to. At one point I talked to 3 different doctors at the practice and got 3 vastly different opinions. Long story short, I lost $4,500 and went to Shady Grove Fertility and am now 4 months pregnant. Please save yourself the pain and aggravation and go see Dr. Martin at Shady Grove!

The staff here is so sweet and so kind during one of the most difficult times in a couples life (infertility) the entire environment is so positive and welcoming! We absolutely love the staff and Nurse Amanda and Dr Barmat are so amazing! Mariah at Bethlehem is awesome too!!

My husband and I really enjoyed meeting Dr. Stephen Somkuti for our introductory call today. He provided a lot of good information, made us feel very comfortable- enough so that we laughed together multiple times, and even introduced our dogs to each other:) We are looking forward to the next steps in the process of working with Dr. Somkuti!

This is my second round with Sincera 10 years ago when it was Abington Reproductive they diagnosed me with PCOS and I was majorly depressed I left the office and just focused on me and began working out and conceived my son naturally with them monitoring me for the 1st 10 weeks. 10 years later today I was just released to my OB GYN with another successful pregnancy the staff and Dr. Somkuti was a blessing and kept me so relaxed. My ovulation induction this go around was godsend. I thank you guys and I will send Photos in November when Baby Buckner arrives

Clinic staffs are dedicated and accountable. I really appreciate my doc and nurse. It is a long journey for making family. They are answering for my questions quickly. If they have questions for anything, they are questioning for the best result. Give us hope. Have a great day! everyone! 🥰😘😘

FIND ANOTHER CLINIC. I never ever write reviews but I would never recommend anyone to come here. The lack of communication is unreal. When I called to complain about it Charlene called to apologize and told me if I still have issues with communication to contact her . Well still had no one answering my emails or calls so I emailed Charlene and low and behold SHE also didn’t respond me. I was never told any consultation prices as I cslled other clinics afterwards and they tell you right upfront what consultation prices are before booking . I got a bill 6 MONTHS later for my one consultation . $285 !!! I made another consult with them prior to getting this bill for IVF and still no quote.. I called back to find out since I was never told and it was going to be $315 . Knowing I’m paying out of pocket it would have been nice to know upfront of cost . Save your money and go to Shady grove : $50 consult for IUI and I think it was $185 for IVF consult. Communication during this whole process is key! And shady grove obviously has that !Also just received an invoice from my insurance company from Sincera which like I said I was paying EVERYTHING out of pocket so what are they charging my insurance company for if I already paid it ?I have contacted my Gynecologist to let them know my experience with Sincera and the doctor has told me that they are getting a lot of complaints now and are considering referring there patients somewhere else . Apparently ownership has changed hands a few years back and their service to patients have extremely declined !

All in all Sincera is a professional, caring, and extremely helpful facility. They get whatever service you need up and going at your convenience. Only thing is when you call you cant speak to someone right away you have to leave a message and someone calls you with in 24-48 hours I dont really like that waiting game. Other than that everything else I stated before stands. I genuinely love this place and have already recommended a friend of mine.

This is my LEAST favorite office to go to out of all of the Sincera offices I’ve been to. The front desk staff is not kind warm hearted or patient like the other offices. They actually leave you feeling belittled and insignificant, which is the absolute opposite of what you want to feel visiting an office like this.

You guys are the best!!!!! You call and make sure that I’m ok. The doctors are the best and really know what they are doing. You guys start everything right away. All of the staff is so sweet I feel so comfortable in the office

Never had a problem here everyone is friendly and treated me like family made sure I was comfortable every step of the appointment from checking in all the way to checking out.

They are the biggest rip off money doctors in Philadelphia.People don’t go here they put you on IVF 2 or 3 times so they get your money.Liars Liars Liars........
