Dr. Okour is professional, knowledgeable and responds quickly.Since 2021, I dealt with 11 recurring Bartholin cysts that were so painful & debilitating. I even tried a different procedure mid-2022 with a different doctor to remove the cyst & hopefully not deal with another one, but that immediately failed. The experience of the procedure & recurring cysts afterwards were so traumatizing.The most recent cyst lasted more than 2 weeks, which from my past experiences would have already drained by then, but this was the most stubborn that lasted almost 2 months.What I liked about Dr. Okour is that he is a Gynecological Surgeon. When I was looking for an obgyn specialist for this particular situation, I kept finding those who specialized in pregnancies. I chose to move forward with Dr. Okour to remove the cyst as well as the Bartholin gland because he did not push fear onto me & displayed confidence, which reassured me I made the right choice in choosing Dr. Okour to help me with this issue once and for all.My cyst was greatly infected and about 5-6 cm per Dr. Okour so he had to remove a bit of extra tissue to ensure he removed the entirety of it. From women dealing with this same issue on online forums, they even mentioned that if things are not removed entirely, the cyst could return even if the gland was removed. So I appreciated that Dr. Okour was thorough in removing everything.Im currently 7 weeks post op. I can now do 100% of things, but I still deal with a bit of discomfort, which is normal. I was told it could take up to 4 months for the area to heal completely as its in a very sensitive area.I look forward to having my life and female anatomy back to normal and am glad I found Dr. Okour to perform this surgery for me.

Dr. Okour is an absolutely incredible gynecologist— the best I’ve ever had. Because I’ve been moving back and forth between different cities for my studies, I’ve had to experience a range of doctors. Dr. Okour is incredibly knowledgeable— it’s obvious his encyclopedic knowledge and incisive skill makes him sharper than any other gynecologist I’ve ever had; and let me tell you, for this pregnancy, I’ve had several. In addition to his expertise, he takes the time to explain to you (beyond obtuse medical jargon) what he’s doing or recommending. Truly a rare combination to find in a doctor: both brilliantly deft and thoughtful.I definitely am grateful to have found him. Recommend him over any other doctor in the area. 🙏🏽

I met Dr Okour when I came in through the ED with a history of fibroids and excessive bleeding. I had my own GYN prior to meeting Dr Okour who was aware of bleeding and had scheduled me for an ultrasound within a month. While waiting for the ultrasound I continued with excessive bleeding. I originally reached out to my own GYN during the time I was having excessive bleeding and getting a response and/or treatment for bleeding was a bit difficult as she wasn’t as responsive and therefore I went to the emergency room. Thankfully Dr Okour was on call that night!! I was admitted that night and he took me first thing in the morning for a D&C (FINALLY some relief from the heavy bleeding!) Not only did I go home that same evening without any pain or discomfort at all but Dr Okour scheduled me for a hysterectomy that upcoming Monday!!! (Something my original GYN had not done despite knowing how much bleeding there was!) Dr Okour called me himself a couple times after my D&C to check up on me and ensure I was doing well- unheard of!Less than a week later he performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy. I went home that night. I had zero incisional pain, most of the discomfort was from gas pain which is to be expected. Again, Dr Okour called me directly that next day to check on me and my progress! I am now going on 8 weeks post surgery and I feel great!!! It has been such a blessing to have found Dr Okour! Not only is he super responsive (he immediately took care of paperwork I needed for my work LOA and EDD as well as my pelvic floor PT referral himself!!) I have experienced zero delays in care or in answering any questions. As a matter of fact I am able to reach him directly! Direct access to a provider provides such high quality value! He is extremely professional and always makes himself available to answer any questions whatsoever! As an RN myself and being very familiar with healthcare and providers I cannot recommend him enough!! I will forever be grateful to him not only for the care he provided me but the urgency for which he delivered that care to ensure I have a better quality of life!! Thank you Dr Okour!!!!!

Went for a checkup after having surgery and resting for about a week. Everything Dr. Okour explained was easy to comprehend and was made very clearly for me and my parents to understand. Such amazing service!!!

31 July 2024 ** Thank You Dr Okour .. I feel like a New Person having lived with this issues for many years as it progressively became unbearable .. Honestly had no idea many of symptoms were directly caused by this ,, Thank You !! Thank You !!** June 2024 First Visit in GYN office in 25 years or so !! The Dr Greeted Me and took time to review my visit for the day prior to exam ,, He was thorough and listened .. New Office A bit HighTeck will take older folks a bit to grip ,, New Protocols Very Different from my Medical Field Days .. A conversation after exam and a plan of action set into motion same day ..Feeling Confident with his plan ,

Wow. Such a great MD. Dr. Okour did my hysterectomy. I have nothing but positive things to say for how he took care of me before and after surgery. First of all, POSTOP I had MINIMAL pain and was up and about that same night. I was very set on going home the same night even though he wanted me to stay 24 hrs for observation. He let me know what to expect and called me the next day to see how I was doing. He was recommend to me by someone he did a csection on and they raved about him as a DR. He knows his stuff and isnt a butcher surgeon. I will not go to anyone else for any of my gyn issues. Thanks Dr. Okour for exceeding my expectations and taking such good care of me.

Dr Okur is very knowledgeable, takes the time to explain to the patient any procedure, treatment or test, as well as answering questions.

Staff there was very polite and Dr. Salman Okour really took the time to address all my concerns, answer questions, and offer me all treatment options. I felt very comfortable, welcome, and safe there as a new patient. I never write reviews, so this place definitely gave me a lasting impression. I 100% recommend!

Dr.Okour is very responsible and kind. I was mistreated at another hospital and Dr.Okour helped me back on my feet. Dr.Okour provided me with all information that I need to understand for each procedure with details and patience. If you are looking for an OB doctor who can handle stuff, he is your choice.

They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. He explained everything to me in a very clear manner and listen to all my concerns. I am so glad I chose this clinic and would highly recommend to anyone.
