I’ve had great experiences with dr Torquato. It’s been a moment since I’ve been in but dr Torquato always takes time to listen, educate and help you with any issues. I’ll definitely be returning for another appointment.

Update: Wish I could give zero stars. I feel like Im in a nightmare after going to family medical care. Dr Torquato put me on a benzo and I did not understand the drug I was taking. After only being on it a few weeks I developed a dependence (very common for this type of drug)Im now dealing with weeks of insomnia, panic attacks, depression, and a trip to the ER. I feel like he broke me. I was fine before going there, other than some sleep issues and social anxiety. Now I dont recognize myself and I just want to go back to before I ever stepped foot in his office. Dr Torquato is carelessly handing out these drugs that can ruin peoples lives, he didnt tell me initially that I would become quickly dependent and the hell it would be to get off these. He has no idea of the effect of these drugs, as he told me to just stop taking them (very dangerous) I wasted so much money going there, but worse I now have the consequences of what he did to me and months of recovery and horrific withdrawals to deal with.I Went in for feeling tired. had some lab work done, but when dr torquato heard I have anxiety he put me on Xanax for sleep. Having no idea what this junk was (and that it is only suppose to be used for a couple weeks) I started it. He had me taking 2 to 3 pills a night with a plan to stay on for 8-12 months! Do these drs not know how addictive and how horrific the process of getting off these benzos are or are they just in it for the money? After 3 weeks of use I researched Xanax more and realized I did not want to be on that. I consulted the dr and he told me I could just stop. Well let me tell you, I knew enough from research online to not stop cold turkey and tried to taper myself down. Even then I had 3 nights of insomnia, panic, heart palpatations, and that was only after a few weeks of use. When Torquato contacted me after I told his office what was happening his response was, thats not normal and told me I needed to stay on the benzo and add prozac to the mix. Its been 5 weeks now and after seeking proper guidance on getting off Xanax I realize it could be another month or so to hopefully be done with it! Praying the withdrawals will be less severe. Worst decision I made going there. Its touted as a find the root cause sort of facility that doesnt push meds.....that is far from the case. These drs should have to have a patient sign an informed consent when dealing with handing out Benzodiazepines, I didnt know what I was getting myself into. I thought it was just a sleeping pill. And the drs are not educated on the effects of those drugs. I thought I should warn others.

Love the automated reminders for my upcoming appointment. I was able to update all of my health information, supplements I’m currently taking, etc on my Patient Portal prior to my appointment , saving doctors time during my visit. I was greeted friendly and professionally in a clean pleasant office, loved the fresh flowers 💐. Doctor Torquato was on time and as always a joy to meet with. His genuine, sincere concern for mine and my family’s health and wellbeing is always very appreciated. Dr. Torquato covers my annual wellness exams very thoroughly, making sure I follow up with the necessary scans and labs, because preventative care is his goal as well as mine.Thank you Dr. Torquato for the blessing you are to your patients and community!

The dr stuck my wife on a benzo that we are currently going through hell trying to get her off of. Will have a long hard road and she is suffering greatly. She is far worse off after going there.

Absolute bible thumping scumbags. They don’t know anything about practicing medicine, constantly try and push religious beliefs on you in a creepy way, and now they just sent a medical bill that was paid long ago to collections. I haven’t seen this dr in years. I don’t think that’s very Christian, or legal.

Dr. Torquato is a doctor that I feel comfortable with when it comes to talking about matters of my health and he is straight forward and honest about treatments, lifestyle changes when needed, and medications.

Dr. Torquato is so patient and diligent. It feels like he genuinely cares about my well being! Such a great Dr!!

My wife and I are not happy with this place at all. They never answer the phone, and they never return your phone calls. If you leave a message on their app, they tell you that they will respond within two days, and it usually takes anywhere between three and five weeks for them to get back to you. Dr. Torcuato is an extremely rude and unpleasant man, who has horrible, bedside manner. And acts as though the patients are inconveniencing and bothering him. And he actually seems to believe that masks do something to prevent the spread of Covid.

Dr. Torquato was so kind and understanding. I took my brother to see him and it’s the first positive experience he has ever had with a Doctor. He now feels comfortable to go again. We are so appreciative of everyone at the office that were so caring.

Dr. Torquato and his team are beyond words. The level of genuine care mixed with compassion, kind spirits, quality client services, professionalism and sincerity all make this worth trusting your care in their hands. I definitely recommend him and his qualified and compassionate team.

Dr. Torquato is kind, courteous, helpful and professional. He makes sure that you are comfortable and treats me like a real person with value which I cannot say about most providers that I have encountered over the years. I have chosen him to be my primary care Dr. because of this. He is a rare gem.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Very attentive to my elderly mom’s needs. Dr. Torquato was awesome. Very kind and patient; willing to listen and teach. I’d give ten stars if I could.

A nice atmosphere to be for a doctor’s visit. The staff is very friendly and answered all my questions. Dr. Torquato was very thorough and knowledgeable throughout our time together. I look forward to our next meeting.

First visit was mostly a meet & greet and to set up my file. I really like Dr. Torquatos relaxed personality. He covered all the bases for a first visit. Since I am very healthy (so far) and on no meds (so far) it was an easy visit for me. Very friendly office, located close to my home. I feel confident I will be in good hands if my health changes and I know Dr Torquato will be there for me!

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Torquato. He was kind and friendly and listened intently to my symptoms before referring me for comprehensive tests to determine the cause of my pain and discomfort. He was professional, thorough and thoughtful throughout my appointment. Additionally, his staff was courteous and efficient.

Dr. Torquato was very thorough spending time answering all my questions and rearranging my visits to best treat and evaluate me. One star reduction for administrative redundancy. I filled out all the pre-visit history and questionnaire forms only to have staff hand me an iPad and input all the same info into the database, ugh, so frustrating. Why bother with the pre-visit forms then?

I just recently had a visit with Dr. Torquato and changed to him being my primary physician afterward. His attention to detail and time spent developing/working with me on a regime to treat my symptoms was phenomenal. I couldnt recommend him enough!

We have Ben with Dr John for about 16 years .He is one of the best in North Idaho . He helped me keep my wife 4 years longer than expected. They treat you like family.

Dr. Torquato and his staff are very friendly and provide the best care Ive ever gotten gotten from a medical professional. Dr. Torquato is excellent at finding the actual root of your problems and addressing those, instead of prescribing you a medication for every symptom you have and rushing you out of his office. I always feel like Im being heard and being cared for in the best way. I cannot recommend Dr. Torquato enough.

Dr. Roquiz has taken care of my family for a number of years. He is an amazing doctor. He takes care of not only your physical needs but spiritual as well. I have my share of medical problems & he has always given me hope. He always goes the extra mile to make sure all your medical and spiritual needs are met. We have finally found our lifer doc. I also have to say their staff is also just as amazing!!! They all truly believe in treating the person as a whole not just getting through their patients.

As always, I felt the concern of the Doctor and nurses at my visit. My comfort was considered as well as showing concern for my difficulty breathing. I was Lent a nebulizer with the promise I would return it within 3 days. It changed everything!! I had been suffering with bronchitis for over a week and nothing was helping. My head and chest were still tight, I was constantly blowing my nose and coughing. The breathing treatment really helped, then 3 breathing treatments per day for the next 3 days changed everything. I am able to breathe again, slept through the night last night and feel so much better. Dr. Torquato always seems to know just the right thing to do for me. He is a wonderful, caring Doctor. I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr Torquato for over 7 years. I have always been very pleased with my experiences. The staff, the Dr and the lab people have always been friendly, helpful and informative. Im very happy with Dr Torquato.

I have been to many doctors within the past 10 years and these Dr.s acted very professional while still being human and real.They didnt take their years of education to hold above you or belittle you, but they treated you as if you are a really good friend of theirs.These Dr.s talked to me and told me what they knew and then we talked about how we could deal with the issue. They are very knowledgable and yet treat you as one of their own. They also finished off the session with prayer, keeping your spiritual view high.

I have been in to see Dr. Torquato and Dr. Roquiz for DOT physicals and other reasons. Both have been very helpful and polite. The wait time was minimal and the cost for the physicals was better than any other office. I would highly recommend using this office providing the issue was not a drastic emergency. I feel that these doctors have a genuine concern for their patients.

They were there when I needed them. I was transitioning my mom from the hospital to a Certified Family Home where there is lots of red tape. They got us in the day of discharge which was amazing, there was lots of orders from the hospital they helped me sort out. Staff was right on the ball with the DME prescription I so desperately needed, I was called by staff in evening to get more details regarding my mom so we could move forward. I’m so grateful for this caring and Christian group of people and I’m thankful that the doctor has made this practice a service to God and hope he receives as much of a blessing in his service as we did being served.Thank You so much!Terri

Each visit has been quick, thorough and fairly priced. We choose Family Medical Care because we want a doctor who listens, who is knowledgeable and who enthusiastically invites patients to be part of the team. The staff is kind. Theres no glass sliding windows to separate patient/staff. Kid and adult friendly. We are VERY pleased.

I had never gone to a doctors office where I felt like the doctor and the staff all truly cared about me until I came here. They even have a space on their sign in paperwork where you can request prayer, and they will actually pray with you. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is just peaceful when you walk in. The prices are the best Ive seen if you dont have insurance. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient here for about 3 years now. I think they do a great job . I have seen many doctors in the past and find these doctors to be down to earth, knowledgeable, thorough,caring and skilled.Their use of the computer and technology to track things is much better than I have seen elsewhere.I recommend them as a great group of caring professionals

Had a great experience at the Walk In Clinic. I had called in the morning and they were very easy to work with when finding a time that fit for me and them. I went there and found there office very clean and full if free medical literature and the staff was very nice and friendly. The doctor did a great job diagnosing me and the price cant be better. I highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

Reasons being that in my 36 years of life, I have never felt as welcomed and treated as a human being until I came upon this medical care facility. Im a local PT who has had several patients referred to my by Family Medical Care, and I have heard nothing short of praises from the patients who have gone there. One thing that I appreciate about this office is their holistic focus - I have had several patients tell me how the staff have been encouraging them in specific ways to take control of their health with lifestyle and diet modifications. Thats right in line with my Physical Therapy background and Im glad to know of an office that views patients not as a number but as an individual.

The clinic staff is very professional and kindDr. John John Torquato it’s excellent He’s a very kind and caring doctor he pays attention to all your concerns with great advice by addressing all the area of your health in order to bring  balance to your body.I highly recommend this clinic for a great experience.

I did not wait long and the nurse greeted me at the door, took my temperature and asked me all the questions pertaining to covid 19 exposure. I then moved toward the back for blood pressure check and weight. The nurse placed a plastic wrap around my arm as an added precaution to prevent cross contamination of any kind. I went into the exam room for a brief face to face exam then was excused. I went out to my vehicle for the final conference with the doctor. He spent a half hour with me answering my questions quelling my fears. Before we ended the session he gave me valuable information to help me and his deep concern for me as a human compelled him to pray with me and share words of encouragement. When you are under his care and direction you are in control. He understands and lets you know how important meds are but he does bot get upset if you refuse. He is not only a doctor but he is a man who genuinely cares about you. Natural remedies are encouraged except where meds may really be needed. I love thus doctor and if you need a good doctor you should make an appointment and come see for yourself.Dianna K

Dr. Roquiz and team truly care about you as the patient. I am forever grateful for them during this past year. Dr. Roquiz takes the time to listen to you. I have never once felt rushed and pushed out the door. He is genuine and so is his staff. I highly recommend Dr Roquiz.

I went in for an ER follow-up due to low potassium and heart palpitations. She tried giving me all medications for anything including anxiety and then promptly tried telling me about bible scripts for my heart having a mind of its own. Extremely unprofessional and absolutely no help. I got a second opinion thankfully because he said I should not be taking any of them. So now I have a bill for $180 and nothing to show for it. Also this is far from a walk in clinic as it took me a week to be seen. This place is not good for anything but an expensive prayer.

Always friendly, welcoming and informative. I never get the impression that I should hurry to make room for the next patient. Love this Dr and office.

One of the worst experiences with a doctor I have ever had. The practitioner nurse asked me why I was there to be seen, after I had told her the look on her face was very displeasing as if she thought I was insane. When I informed her of the length of my symptoms, she acted like I wasn’t correct. I told her of another condition I had and she had never heard of it before to the point of pulling out her cellphone to google it. She then from only looking once, gave me a prognosis. When Dr. Roquiz entered into the room, I went to shake his hand but he rudely dismissed it. Not very good bedside manner. Dr. Roquiz made me feel completely uncomfortable and only talked with the n.p., let alone was just in agreeance with what n.p. had said for the diagnosis and treatments. The entire time I was there they were only concerned that I am over weight and said everything I was experiencing was only because I was fat. I had informed them I was on track with losing weight, but then shut down the diet I am on (keto). Apparently the lose of 30 lbs isn’t good enough. N.P. forgot to do a treatment I asked for as well. They made me feel like I was gross or diseased. And continued to address my weight. Literally made me feel worst about myself and completely embarrassed. Will never go back and will tell everyone of my experience. Please do not go here!

THE WORST and most useless visit to the Doctors office that I have ever experienced. Since the clinic accepts walk ins, I was expecting a same day appointment for my ailment; however, my same-day appointment request was refused and I was scheduled to come in three days later. I arrived to the establishment five minutes prior to my appointment time; however, the flustered receptionist hurriedly asked me to take a seat. I will be with you in a moment, she proclaimed. Twenty long minutes later, I was checked in, and then five minutes passed and the nurse took my vitals. I was then escorted the the waiting room again, and five minutes later Dr. Andrew Roquiz blandly showed me into his office. It was obvious that he was bored, did not show any interest in my problems, and did not want to be there. Barely paying attention to me as I spoke, he just nodded his head while I described in detail my acute problem. Then his diagnosis was written, and it read something similar to something my three year old nephew could type. Not to mention, during the whole appointment, the man was looking things up on his Iphone. Unprofessional, and disrespectful. I wasted $60 dollars on a diagnosis so simple I could have written it myself. After he told me what to do, he said, If that doesnt clear it up, come back in a couple weeks for another appointment and I will look again. Like I would ever pay another $60 for a second useless diagnosis. On my way out the same flustered receptionist took my (wasted) funds, and preceded to tell me that she wished the office would slow down and stop being so busy all of the time. Last but not least, Dr. Roquiz printed me out a link to this very webpage and kindly asked if I could leave a good review for the practice on google. Well, here is your review, and on that note I would give it zero stars if that was an option. Disorganized staff; unprofessional doctor.

This clinic really has been the answer to my prayers. The time and attention of both the doctors and staff is unfailingly patient, thorough, and caring. Both Doctor Roquiz and Doctor Torquato really LISTEN and offer care for body, mind, and spirit.

Awesome awesome place.Went with no appointment was seen within 15 minutes.Was taken to a room where I was Givin a checkup and was never in the room by myself until the dr arrived.I had a ear problem they fixed it right away and I left with only having to pay $59.I will never go anywhere else.I was treated very well from start to finish.Best dr. Visit I have ever experienced.Thank you so much.

My experience here several years ago was great as far as the actual treatment, but I found the huge amounts of religious propaganda around the office very unprofessional - paintings of Jesus, Christian magazines & pamphlets galore (and no other reading materials whatsoever that I could find), a paper sign in the exam room stating that trust in god is a necessity for good health... are you serious?I dont feel as though a medical office is an appropriate place to try and make converts. I couldnt tolerate going back, so I have since found a new provider.

I normally do not Like or trust Doctors after years of Being poked and prodded as a kid because my dad was career Military and back in the 70’s Anyway it has caused me not to trust any Doctor over 30 + years But Dr. TORQUATO has Won my Trust , hopefully it’s not too late to take care of some of the things I had let go , My Family and I are so Blessed to have found Dr. TORQUATO

Dr. Torquato is so thourough and explains issues so well. I would reccommend hime to everyone. He is always very kind and never is in a hurry.

Amazing doctor and staff!! Doctor will make sure you get everything you need for your​ medical care. Im glad I found a doctor that finally cares and whos not like okay.. on to the next. They work for you not the other way around.

My dad went here for a removal of a metal flake that was in his eye. It went very quick and smooth. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. The pricing is honest and upfront on their website. We need more clinics like this around CDA! We have Regence insurance and the cost for the removal with insurance at another doctor office was $220. We only paid $85 by not billing insurance! Yay.

I was so happy with the helpful staff. Everyone was very friendly and professional . It took only a few minutes and I was in seeing the Doctor. I will be recommending them to my family and friends.

There $59.00 charge is a scam. Ripped me off! Told me I had to pay $89.00 because my problem was harder to figure out... I had a swollen glad and needed antibioatics and I knew that when I went there. I have never written a review, but this place is horrable! Also think my doctor was sick! Never going back!

Terrible experience. As a small business owner myself, I was shocked at how disrespectful this medical office treated us. With so many other viable options for care in Kootenai County, there is little reason to frequent Family Medical Care.

A complete waste of money. I had swollen lymph nodes in my neck, inflamed tonsils and have been coughing up green junk. I have had chills but because of the green junk and swollen painful tonsils I went in because I need antibiotics. It was a male doctor and he determined I had a common cold. I have had more than one common cold in my life and this is no cold. They tested for strep throat which I did not think I had but I told them I had tonsillitis. I spent $79.00 for nothing. So if you have these symptoms do not go there save your money.

My wife went in for a minor infection and the nurse practitioner asked if we had guns in the house. Really? Youre bringing that attitude to North Idaho? I now asked my wife to politely tell them it is none of their business.
