I normally do not like to leave bad reviews, but I do feel like there is a need to because I was also once the newly pregnant patient reading reviews and trying to decide which OB to use. Dr. Perkins was wonderful with my first pregnancy and shortly after changed offices. I chose to move with her and I’m not sure what happened but she was absolutely awful at the new practice. I will not go into full detail with my experiences but I would not recommend using this doctor if you want someone that is personable and truly cares for their patients. I feel awful because I even recommended multiple of my friends to her who also ended up having bad experience. I honestly wish I could give her a 0/5 stars.

She didn’t let me have my photoshoot! Saying I have to be admitted right that time to monitor my blood pressure overnight. and the next day all my Blood pressure results were fine. But she said that my liver enzymes were elevated so I need to be induced. Later on, I found out She was talking about my results months ago. They didn’t check my liver panel that night. since I was 36 weeks pregnant 1st pregnancy , and being induced, I ended up having csection because I started shivering and having fever after she broke my bag of water and not dilating much. I regret for choosing the office, And the scheduler put me to her.

I love Dr. Perkins! She has taken great care of me since Dec 2020. She helped me work on myself in order to regulate my periods and I got pregnant soon after. She makes me feel like she is truly concerned about my health. She always asks the necessary questions to discern the care I need and she keeps me calm. Im normally an over thinker. She delivered my son via c-section in Oct. 2021. Its so much I can say. I am just so grateful to have her! Highly highly highly recommend!

Dr. Perkins is by far the best doctor I have had! She made me feel very comfortable and well informed through my entire pregnancy and postpartum. She never made me feel rushed and always answered every question I had. She was very good at calming my nerves anytime I was concerned. I am so glad she was my doctor for my first pregnancy and I highly recommend Dr. Perkins to anyone!

Last year we went into doctor Perkins office after moving states 33 weeks pregnant. I had a completely healthy pregnancy with no complications and she was aware of this. Upon meeting her she told me I should get induced at 39 weeks and that it’s dangerous to go over at all because of the “arrival trial” which by the way is an outdated and incorrect study. She then also told my husband and I that she would be on vacation on my due date so if i wanted her to deliver my baby I needed to be induced. When stating I didn’t want Pitocin and wanted as natural of a delivery as possible she told me that I can say that now but since it was going to be my first baby I really didn’t know what to expect.Overall it was a terrible experience and if you’re wanting a natural delivery that is supported and respected by your OB do NOT go here. She used scare tactics and it’s honestly embarrassing on her part. I had a home birth at 40 weeks and 2 days completely natural and it was the best experience of my life. So in the long run I guess I thank her for pushing me in the opposite direction. By the way Victoria, I went two days over and my placenta didn’t fail me.

I absolutely LOVE Doctor Perkins! She is so personable and I am so thankful to have her as my doctor during my first pregnancy. She is very thorough and always makes sure she answers any questions I have. She takes the best care of me and my baby, even despite several complications we have had. Having a baby during a pandemic is very difficult, but she makes me feel so much more comfortable. I would 1000% recommend Doctor Perkins!

Dr. Perkins saved my life and I will forever be thankful for her. I went in not knowing what to expect after years of being told that my pain was something I would just have to deal with. On my very first appointment she diagnosed me with endometriosis and could tell how severe my pain was . She gave me OPTIONS and let me make my own decision. Thankful for her always !

I thought it might be helpful to leave a review as a husband that was actively supportive and present during the pregnancy and birth. Dr. Perkins was everything I could wish for. She was more than willing to answer questions, discuss concerns, and provide supportive data. There was NOT one time during the entire process that we felt uninformed, uncomfrotable, or troublesome. She quickly recognized that I cared and wanted to be equally informed in order to support my wife, and she immediately began to include me in every engagement, asking if i had any questions as well. She treated us like a team, which made our the journey a lot smoother and less stressful for my wife. Even during the birth, we had to make a last minute decision, and she took the time to inform us of every aspect of our options in the most stressful part of the journey. We never felt rushed or pressured. Our son was born with 0 issues. Ive personally never had a physician that was this highly rated and still highly personable. She genuinely cares for the baby, mother, and partner. She was a direct blessing from God. Thank you Dr. Perkins. As a husband and father, I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Perkins is a wonderful OB/GYN! She is thorough and professional. Dr. Perkins makes sure your questions are answered and takes time to explain things. She respects her patient’s preferences. I am very happy with her care for my first pregnancy, labor & delivery.

Dr. Perkins is by far the best OBGYN in Huntsville! She is so caring, she listens, doesn’t rush through taking care of her patients, and she goes above and beyond to be sure you are comfortable and understand everything she says. She delivered my daughter and made me so comfortable throughout my pregnancy and now in postpartum Dr. Perkins cares for my mental and physical health and addresses every concern and question. Seriously, if you are looking for an OBGYN who genuinely cares, Dr. Perkins should be your go-to!! She is AMAZING!!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Perkins already. In the last year, I switched to her from a doctor in Florence AL(had a rough experience with my previous OB/GYN) so after much research I decided to go with Dr. Perkins at TN Valley OBGYN and I am so glad I did, I don’t mind the hour and 15min drive for her! From the very first visit she has been very thorough and took the time to read my history from my previous doctor. Even if she is super busy, she doesn’t ever make you feel rushed, she will make sure you have no questions or concerns by the time the appointment is done. So excited to have her as my doctor for baby #2! Highly Recommend Dr. Perkins.

I was referred to dr. Perkins by my lifelong friend. I’m now 28 weeks into my first pregnancy and have never been so thankful for a referral. Dr. Perkins and her staff are all so kind and loving. She has answered every question and concern I have and has reassured me anytime I worry. I also want to brag on her staff because they have also made this pregnancy such a breeze! Tori (forgive my spelling if that’s off) is so sweet and friendly. She always remembers my name and adds a nice personal touch. Also, Miss Lois that does all the bloodwork and labs is FANTASTIC at what she does and treats you like family. I love this practice and highly recommend Dr. Perkins and her team.

Dr.Perkins is hands down the best OBGYN I have ever had. She never makes me feel rushed at appointments and has taken the time to get to know me. I am a big talker and she never ceases to let me chat and chat. She always answers my questions, during appointments and when I call. She answers them thoroughly, fast, and always has helpful tricks to take care of what I need. Dr. Perkins has become not just my doctor but a friend. She delivered my second baby and helped me through a rough pregnancy and delivery. With COVID and quarantine and various issues I don’t think I would have made it smiling to the end without her constant encouragement and TLC. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch, fantastic OB. I also want to brag on her nurse Tori, I absolutely love her she too has always helped answer all my questions and we laugh and have a great time together. She is the absolute sweetest and caring nurse. You never have to doubt you are in the best hands with them by your side.

I have no issues with dr.perkins, she is a fantastic physician but I have not been able to see her since she moved to this practice. The front desk when I have gone is polite, they told me to call in the event of conflict in scheduling or other. They dont answer phone, I emailed and told them I would need to reschedule as my toddler at the time had strep and adenovirus and was contagious. No reply from this office, nor call back on my phone even though I provided the information.

I’m am so exstatic that Dr Perkins accepted me as a new patient to her practice! She explained thoroughly every step of the processes and ultrasound. I came in terrified that I had a cyst on my ovary and a distended Fallopian tube from a CT scan ordered by another doctor. She was so very kind and knowledgeable with my particular problems. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a female Physican as an OBGYN.

Dr. Perkins is the first GYN I’ve had that actually listened to what I was saying in regards to my health. She made everything personal and cared for me the way I believe every doctor should care for their patients. She is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way anyone can understand. I love how open she is to answering questions I might have, so I know I have my GYN for life!!

Wonderful Doctor and staff. I went years having doctors that didnt listen to me. That wanted to try this and that. Dr. Perkins listened to me, understood my issues, and agreed with doing what I, the patient, wanted to do. Actually having me feel that Im in control for once. I recommend her to every woman that wants to be in control of their own bodies and have a say in what happens to them.

Dr. Perkins is amazing! She got my baby girl and I through this pregnancy journey safely and we are so grateful.

Ive only been a patient of Dr. Perkins for a short while but she has always been very thorough and always presenting all information and explanations in full detail and always being willing to answer questions with answers we understood. I am a happy patient!

Dr. Perkins is fantastic. She never makes the appointment feel rushed and answered all my questions.
