Sunwook Sonnie Kim Ashchi, MD

I love the location away from big business. I showed up for my appointment and everyone there was pleasant and courteous. I was only in the waiting room for 10 min before i was taken back. The personal were all very friendly and professional and Dr Kim Ashchi is delightful to work with. She asks questions and gives you time to ask her any questions you have and answers them so you understand. I like working with her a lot. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Sonnie Kim - Ashchi could not have been nicer and engaging. I did not wait long before I was seen and wasn’t rushed through my appointment. She was informative and thorough. She was able to pass her knowledge to observing students without compromising my care.

My Favorite OBGYN and OB. Dr. Kim Ashchi listens to my needs and let me know the best option while giving me different options to have as well. I trust her and her team they are wonderful. The office gets you in in a timely manner and the office is very clean. I recommend Dr Kim Ashchi and her office to anyone. I’ve been a patient since 2016.

I do not recommend using her. I went with concerns about fibroids and the complications they are causing me. She ordered a ultrasound told me she call me with the results. Never heard from her. I saw results on line one of the fibroids has increased in size from results prior. I called to schedule appointment to discuss she had medical assistant call me to ask why I wanted to be seen. That the doctor said she addressed it on the day of my only visit. I didnt have the ultrasound until that appointment. She never addressed any of my concerns. The other staff was great!

Dr Ashchi is the best there is! She is so respectful of our personal space! Explains everything in detail. I am just sorry that I waited so long to make an appointment! Please dont hesatate, she is well with going to! Thanks Dr. A!!

Dr. Ashchi is the absolute best Doctor Ive ever had!! Ive had a several visits with her and each time she really took the time to hear my concerns and came up with suggsetions or solutions and followed up.

Best Doctor that i ever met,shes so sweet and responsible,i was having problems with my IUD for 9years,and after 1 visit she told me the solution and she removed it yesterday,i couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend Dr Kim! best in Jacksonville,plus the prettiest ♥️

As a first time mom she’s made every visit great and reassuring, she even made my boyfriend feel apart of the experience which was nice, she delivered my baby girl and she was quick andThorough and even though I had complications before my birth she eased my mind and just overall made me feel like my feelings were valid and I mattered to them, I’ll definitely be going back to her for my next baby :)

I have been with Sonnie Kim-Ashchi for almost 23 years. I consider her to be the top physician in her field. She is extremely knowledgeable, cares about her patients, and treats them as family! Her staff is kind and efficient. Wait times are minimal. The office is one is the cleanest and well ran in all of Jacksonville! If you want someone who puts you, as a person, first, this is most definitely the provider for you!

**edited 7/9/24** I have been trying to get in for my annual exams since March and have been rescheduled 4 times now. The office does not have a cancellation or waitlist.If you’re looking for a new OB I would look elsewhere as this dr is very hard to get in with.

Dr. Kim-ashchi is always so sweet. She encourages me to ask questions, Listens to my concerns and is very thorough with explanations. She makes me feel relaxed and well taken care of. I trust her 1 million% and am very confident that she has my best interest at heart. I couldnt ask for a better team.

I was referred to Dr. Ashchi by my doctor. From the moment she walked into the exam room, she was friendly, professional and genuinely seemed to care about my health and the issues I was having. She took the time to listen to my concerns, without interruption (which is important to me) and provided feedback and suggestions. She is a true gem in the medical field. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. I have no hesitation referring anyone to see her. Thank you Dr. Ashchi and staff for making a rather stressful visit a pleasant one!

Dr. Kimashchi is hard to describe. It’s hard to find the words to say how much I admire, respect, and trust her. She is friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate and highly competent.My first visit was because of a mass on my ovary. She explained everything to my husband and gave us options and answered all questions . I was never made to feel like I was rushed. She performed a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy. She called my husband from the OR when she found something unexpected. This possibility had all been planned before hand so the surgery continued without any issues.My experience was literally pleasant and I would literally trust her with my life. I’m 65 years old and have seen many doctors through the years, but she impressed me more than any other.

She is the best! When you are talking with her you feel secure she provide de perfect actitud for you to feel confortable. I love her🥰

At my 1st visit, I was a new patient. I was in and out of there in no time. The wait time was short and the visit was informational. Dr. Kim Ashchi has great bedside manner and quite a sense of humor. She ordered a few tests which I did and then made an appointment for a follow up visit. Now mind you the test results are available online which I was able to view but since she made a follow up appointment I figured she needed to see me for something. At my 2nd visit, my wait time in the lobby was over an hour and then I waited in the room for just as long. When she came in she basically went over the same test results that were available online. The appointment lasted a couple minutes. At checkout, the nice checkout lady, Kim said it was $144.24 for the visit. I asked why that was. She said that thats how the doctor coded the visit. I asked her to check with the doctor and she did and the doctor said that I am paying for her time but what about MY time?!. Is that not worth anything?!

My experience has been exceptional. Each individual that works in this office has been kind and understanding and helpful. They truly listen to my needs and make me feel welcomed. By far the best experience I have had in a medical setting.

I had an appointment scheduled with her with 3 months of anticipation. One day before the appointment I was contacted by someone in her office cancelling. We rescheduled for another 2 months out, on the day of the appointment, I was cancelled again.

I have not Been to her at memorial, but I did have her at st Vincent. She’s a friggin angel I was so hurt when she left,. She did a surgery back in 2017 on me. Just a perfect doctor man omg

The office and staff were very efficient, clean. Dr. Kim-Ashchi answered all my questions. My only complaint is bring a sweater. Lol

I just called to make an appointment and the receptionist placed me on hold without even letting me know first. She was not even excited to gain a new patient. Taking my business else where!

The care and attention from doctor Sonnie Kim was extremely important to me. I was going through a very bad time in my life and this had serious consequences on my health, and doctor Sonnie treated me with great kindness and attention, she was very helpful and concerned about requesting new tests to better identify my problem. I have been accompanied by her and it has been great to have a doctor who cares about us as people. I recommend her to all women who need a doctor who cares about you.
