I am so grateful to have had Dr. Awaya deliver my baby girl at Castle. I would happily have her deliver any of my babies in the future.Honestly, I love that she is short and sweet; my appointments are always pretty quick but she is always kind and happy to answer any questions that I have. It’s nice to have a doctor that is knowledgeable and able to calm those “new momma” nerves.I also don’t want to leave out the office staff and nurses, as they are also so sweet and helpful- they make the doctors office process a breeze.Overall, I have only positive things to say about everyone there! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare staff!

Super friendly staff. I felt comfortable in every way. Convenient locations in Kailua and town so if you’re willing to travel you can get earlier appointments. I see the nurse practitioners and really like them.

The best office staff who always do their best to accommodate you and always with kindness and grace. I’ve received great care in the 16 years I’ve been going to this office, but recent care by Dr. B was above all standards with care, empathy and great medical attention. If you’re looking for quality professionals who really know their work and a great office staff (which is rare these days), highly recommend seeking care here.

Arrived right on time to one of if not the last appts of the morning and they quickly gave me instructions, took my vitals, and placed me in a room. No delays whatsoever. Dr. Awaya came in shortly thereafter and was easy to talk to. She got my exam done quickly and easily. Frankly, shes awesome! I live in central Oahu and still come here for visits because they really make you feel well cared for. Thank you, Dr. Awaya and your amazing staff, for being so wonderful!

Dr. B and his entire staff are the best by far. As soon as you call or enter their facilities they greet and treat you as family and get straight to your concerns with whatever medical help youre there for. I highly recommend Koolau Womens Health to all women looking for a great doctor.

I had an excellent experience at Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare. Midwife Holly Tammens was incredibly attentive and compassionate, taking the time to listen and provide thorough care, tips and tricks. The entire office staff was professional and friendly, making my visit comfortable.

Very welcoming and loving group of professional workers. I had an issue regarding my insurance and they helped me to get it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare!! Dr. Holly is very nice and makes every visit comfortable and easy-going.

MY visit on April 15 with Dr. Heather Awaya was awesome! I love going to see her and her staff. Malia and the ladies in the front are always so personable and wonderful !! They treat you as family and it;s such a nice warm feeling, I love going there! Dr. Awaya is always so great, she is always so attentive to your issues and answers all of your questions and is always caring!! Im so happy shes my doctor!

Holly is amazing! Love her. She’s an expert at Nexplanon removal and insertion. She’s super friendly and talked me through my anxiety. Also, Ray was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

The doctors and the nurses are great. They really make you feel comfortable. They answer any questions or concerns you may have. Also very flexible with your schedule or if you ever need to reschedule. Definitely recommend for an OB.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Battacharya. Despite numerous friends advising me to see him, I was apprehensive due to a history of endometriosis and multipel surgeries. Iv been through a lot and another visit to the doctor always leaves me feeling apprehensive. I am happy to share that I found Dr to be patient, thourough and really listened to my concerns. He did an ultrasound right in the office (so nice to not have to wait for a referral!) and made a number of suggestions as far as a treatment plan is concerned. His office staff is super friendly and accommodating too. Mahalo Doctor!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I’ve never been to a place where the staff listens to my concerns so well. Any concern I’ve ever had has always been listened to and addressed so well. They also made sure I had the smoothest pregnancy and delivery. If you want a team that supports you 100% and will do everything in their power to help, this is the place for you! I’ll never be able to thank them enough.

Dr. B delivered my 2 youngest in 2012 and 2015, respectively. My 2012 delivery was a successful VBAC after a long labor. Any other doctor would have just sent me to the OR for a C-Section, but Dr. B was so patient and caring, and understood my desire to have a VBAC and thanks to his expertise and care we were successful! My 2015 delivery was actually a crash C-Section due to my baby being too big for me to deliver safely via a second VBAC. Dr. B was not my OB but happened to be the on-call OB that day. I cant express enough my gratitude for his excellent level of care.

When I called them, they immediately scheduled an appointment for me to come in to speak to the Dr. about my concerns. They treated me very well. I felt very comfortable.

Ive had Dr. Awaya as my OBGYN throughout my first pregnancy, her office staff is very welcoming, I have always been seen on time. She is direct, honest and takes time to get to know my husband and me. I have not had any negative experiences during my time working with her. I highly recommend her!

This staff is incredibly caring, accommodating and personable. I bring any concern to their front office staff and they always give me the best care and consideration no matter how impacted their appointments and schedule may be. Occasionally you may need to wait but it’s worth it to be seen by providers and staff who really seem to care.

Dr. Awaya is a gem!She is a professional who is clearly a master of her craft. She addresses your medical concerns with current treatments and approaches that are tailored to you and your needs, and she does this by listening intently and respectfully to her patients. I know she must be busy and on a tight schedule, but she never makes me feel like she wouldn’t stop the world to listen a little longer or help a little more.

The Midwife Holly who did my annual pelvic exam was great. She took time and care to do an excellent job. She is friendly, checked in with how I was doing as a patient; she has great bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable. Feeling comfortable is not something that usually goes along with a pelvic exam, but todays visit with Holly was just that. The team at Koolau are fantastic, including everyone in the front office and the nurse who takes your vitals. I have been coming to this clinic for 16 years, and had my second baby delivered by their then midwife, Linda. Always top notch experience with Koolau for me personally.

Wonderful experience with super friendly staff and provider. By far the best interaction I’ve had with all questions being answered and feeling comfortable during the appointment. Highly recommend seeing Holly!

I can’t say enough good things about everyone at Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare! Dr. Awaya was so great throughout my whole pregnancy. She always made me feel so calm because she has such an easygoing and happy personality. I decided to get induced, and she was awesome in helping with the induction and the delivery.Everyone else at Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare was also great! I had a couple of my prenatal appointments with Holly (I think she is the nurse practitioner there) and she worked super hard to make sure I was as healthy as possible. And the employees in the office are very kind and helpful. Overall it was the best experience I could have asked for!

I really like the staff at Koolau Womens Healthcare. The providers, Dr. B and also Holly (Nurse Practitioner) are both really great. Dr. B is very knowledgeable, answers questions thoroughly and is very friendly. Holly is also very friendly, she is a great listener, and an experienced practitioner. I felt very comfortable with them during my first appointments. The staff members work very hard and are all very kind. I feel supported and am grateful to be working with them during my pregnancy.

Nice visit and very nice staff, all three ladies I interacted with. CNM Holly was kind and informative and spent lots of time with me, not rushed. Easy to get in and out of POB 2, just have to pay $3 to park if over one hour.

The appointment making process was extremely easy. The staff was warm and welcoming. They made sure I understood everything and ensured I got referrals I needed for other physicians. Female appointments aren’t the most comfortable appointment you’ll have but they did their best to make it that way.

For me personally I’ve always been a little uncomfortable when going to an ob, but the office ladies and Dr. Awaya were very kind and comforting, definitely will be my permanent office and doctor !!!

6 months pregnant.First time visiting this clinic and all my concerns and questions were answered. Doc was great & quick. The ladies were nice and respectful although I brought both my kids.

We love Dr Bhattacharyya! He explained everything in simple terms when deciding having a hysterectomy. He allowed us to ask questions, explain our fears, and he calmed them as well. The staff at Queen’s were kind. Jan the NP is kind as well. We talked about options during my visit. She made me feel welcome and felt heard. I highly recommend this office for all the OB/GYN needs.

I’ve been coming here for many years and both of my daughters were born with this practice. They are awesome! Dr. Awaya is amazing and going to see her is like catching up with a girlfriend. Always a positive experience. I was initially referred here by a friend, and have since referred numerous other friends of mine.

Explained what kind of birth control I wanted. Dr didnt try and talk me out of it or suggest something else. She asked if I had done my research and that was it. Told me about possible side effects etc. In and out within 45 minutes

Honestly everyone was so sweet and attentive towards me! This being my first time at an obgyn and it went by so smooth, Dr. Virginia really made it great for my first experience and they got me all scheduled for my next wellness exam :)

The Staff is Amazing! They pretty much became my second family through my pregnancy!! I am going to miss not seeing them once to twice a week. It is very hard to find a doctors office where they know you by name and really take the time to listen and really show they care.

I have been going to Dr. Bhattacharyya for over 20 years. He stays up to date on medical literature and that, coupled with his experience, makes me know I am in the most capable hands. I saw him through my two kids’ births and continue to see him 20+ years later. He has given me the best advice and may well have saved my life in one instance. He is also a genuinely caring person.

We definitely will recommend Virginia Lee, Eesha Bhattacharyya and the whole team! Our daughter was born on DUE date and very healthy, mom has natural birth and has been in good recovery process! Virginia is very energetic, positive and always gave us encouraging information and help us avoid any negative mood during pregnancy period which is very helpful and important! Ive always felt more comfortable having a female GYN. Ive been looking for over 10yrs, either because they retired or relocated to the mainland. Last year on my search for another GYN, I decided to make my appt with Dr Awaya after reading great reviews about her. She made me feel very comfortable and had great bedside manners from a physician. I had my 2nd annual visit and again Dr Awaya is very warm , professional and knowledgeable! Ive already made my annual appt for next year!

I have been coming here for my OB/GYN care for over 18 years. I love the friendly staff that became family too. I had 2 of 3 daughters delivered by the amazing doctors there. They are now 18 & 12. All my women healthcare has been provided by this office. Ive had the best experiences here and I wouldnt change a thing. Her previous midwife helped me to birth my first child naturally in the hospital several years ago and Pat made me feel totally heard, supported, and cared for the entire time. I just needed a Pap prior to my IVF treatment elsewhere but I received so much more! The staff at the front were super friendly, 1 in particular but I didn’t catch her name! I then met Holly (NP/Midwife) who made me feel comfortable from the very start. I am used to quite painful paps but honestly barely felt hers. First time in my life. Then it felt like chatting with an old friend afterwards! I am so grateful to be a new patient here and will absolutely be back to be followed if and when our IVF treatment works! Mahalo

As a mother soon to have baby number 3, it was difficult for me to find an OB that I really wanted to go to after finding out that my previous OB was retiring. Then being told that the other OB in that same office wasn’t accepting any new patients at the time that I really needed to see an OB which was really disappointing and upsetting for me. Then I happen to come across Koʻolau Women’s Healthcare, as I was doing some reading on their website, I must say that I was impressed by everything. Being a first time patient of Dr. B was the best decisions that I made. I called them to see if I could make an appointment and they took me in with the soonest appointment that they had available know that I was a new patient. His staff at both locations (Honolulu & Kailua) are so welcoming and nice. One of my appointments that I had was set for 3:45pm, but I happen to show up about 30mins early and they still took me. I love that they have a Honolulu and Kailua location which makes it so convenient. Another thing that I love is that they never make me wait long. Thank you so much Dr. B and staff.

Dr. Awaya is the best! She delivered 2 of my babies and I have spent many hours in her office. I always feel like I’m going to visit a friend, she makes me feel so comfortable and well cared for. She genuinely cares and never appears rushed although I’m sure she is very busy. During my deliveries she helped me feel safe and confident, I knew I was in the most capable hands and all of the nurses reinforced how much they love working with her too. Nice and professional.. Got me in and out with no problems. I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Didnt have to wait past the appointment time like some other doctors offices do. Got my follow-up surgery scheduled right away and didnt have to wait for weeks or months on that either. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I absolutely adore Dr. Awaya and her staff! I had so many issues this pregnancy and I went through a roller coaster of emotions and Dr. Awaya stuck by my side the whole time, always addressing my concerns and reassuring me anytime I got scared. After the longest 39 weeks of my life she delivered our beautiful baby girl ☺️ I just went back today for my 2 week follow up and it was like going to visit a friend. I never feel rushed or leave without anything unanswered. She is so awesome I recommend her to everyone! The staff is also awesome!

The office staff are nice but I felt very rushed. I did not have a great experience. I requested not to have a student perform any procedures. I heard the staff tell her this outside of the room, and then her disappointment sigh very loudly. This made me feel bad but it’s my body and my choice. It certainly made my anxiety increase for the rest of the visit. The woman that took me to the next room was nice but rushed me and mentioned how busy and short staff they are. I just felt like my needs weren’t heard or met. No lab work was offered and I don’t know that just switching medications is the best option without lab work. I had a student in the room which was fine, people do need to learn. I didn’t appreciate that the student came to me at the checkout counter to hand me a list of medical doctors, and discussed sensitive information two feet away from the people waiting for their appointment. That violates HIPPA and made me extremely uncomfortable. I was just ready to leave and not come back. Overall, I’m disappointed and feel like I should have chosen a different GYN to address my issues. This place seemed geared towards pregnancy and IUD placement.

I went in for a visit today. Typically I brush aside getting check ups bc it makes me super anxious. However I really needed to go in and I couldn’t have had a better experience with Dr. Virginia Lee.

Holly was great, made me feel so comfortable and so professional.

I was very appreciative that I was able to be seen first thing in the morning by Dr. B. The staff is so awesome, very friendly and go out of their way to get you into the office to see the doctor. They are very compassionate toward their patients who are in pain. I Appreciate You All!!!

I was pregnant with twins and developed a condition called Pre-Eclampsia. Dr. Bhattacharyya took excellent care of me. He recognized my condition right away (I was in denial). My condition became severe and I was told I had to deliver my babies two months early. I was terrified. Dr. B was so caring in expressing his concerns and provided me with all the necessary interventions to give them the best possible start. Although they were just 2+ pounds each, they progressed well and are healthy. I will be forever grateful to Dr. B and his staff for their compassionate and knowledgeable care.

I’m so grateful Dr. Awaya and the Ko’olau Women’s Health team for taking me as a new patient at 34 weeks pregnant! I had filled out their questionnaire digitally and emailed it to them for convenience. I loved that I had that option.As soon as I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. My first appointment was with Holly, the Nurse Practitioner/Midwife. She answered all my questions and listened to my past experiences at another hospital and heard what was important to me in this 3rd pregnancy/delivery. She also did an ultrasound because I was curious about the position of my baby, and sent me home with about 7 or 8 pictures.I was so impressed with the front desk staff when I came out of my appointment, too. Holly told them they were missing my results from my 20 week anatomy scan and one of the nurses immediately jumped on the phone to call the Feral Diagnostic Center to request it. And the other nurse helped me schedule out all of my appointments between my 36 week appointment to my due date to make sure I was locked in and on Dr. Awaya’s schedule.This is my third OB/GYN over a span of 11 years and I feel so cared for, seen and safe. Thank you Ko’olau Women’s Health team! 🥹🥰🙏🏽
