Dr. Spring Robinson saved my life! I was struggling to figure out why I was having pelvic pain and after just a few trips to her and her team I was diagnosed and scheduled for surgery. They were very detailed and felt very comfortable throughout the whole process even till this day 5 months post op and they answer any questions I have along this healing journey.

5 stars for Dr. Spring-Robinson. She diagnosed and excised my endometriosis which was all over the place including my appendix! Shes truly a remarkable and skilled physician and Im so grateful my doctor up north recommended her. Is the office hard to get ahold of? Yes. Do they answer their phones? Not really. But that is NOT a reflection of Dr. Spring-Robinson, nor her other colleagues. If you truly want results, I suggest you keep trying to get ahold of the office its definitely worth it!

I will never truly be able to show how grateful I am for Dr. Spring Robinson, Kasey, Brooke and all the incredible staff within this office. I was turned away by many Drs with concerns of endometriosis. I was told my symptoms were normal or that I could try birth control. It was drilled into my mind that I had no option but to suffer every day because they said there wasn’t anything else they could do for me. After extensive research I come across SDWH. I called and got an appointment very quickly because of a cancellation. Dr. Spring Robinson was kind and reassuring she validated me and immediately recognized the pain and symptoms I was experiencing were far from normal and we immediately got the ball rolling for surgery. After a multi hour extensive surgery I finally got a diagnosis of stage 4 endometriosis. I truly cannot thank my medical team enough!

To say that this office is one of the better endometriosis offices I’ve seen out of the 4 I’ve gone to is extremely disappointing because it says a lot about how women’s health care is addressed. I gave 2 stars because I think Dr. Spring-Robinson performed a top notch laparoscopic surgery but the after care was unbelievably disappointing and made me grow so despondent towards the way the healthcare system (especially in women’s health) cares about it’s patients. Don’t expect them to answer the phone on the first call or even the fifth 90% of the time. Also, they are open Friday but there is no doctor in office on Friday which makes little to no sense compiled with the fact they close at 1 pm on that day, every Friday. Endometriosis is so underfunded and so understudied and that is evident in the way this office addresses its patients through lack of communication between physician assistant and surgeon. I detest leaving this review but every patient who goes here for laparoscopy surgery should be forewarned that they may as well be left in the dust post surgery. Do better not only because you are the healthcare providers of America- which already is a broken system, but especially because you are the providers of a group marginalized by the whole system in general.

Avoid this place at all cost. They never pick up their phone even after several calls, and will take their sweet time to return your calls. Because of this I was forced to leave a voicemail about cancelling my appointment because they were out of network for my insurance coverage. They have an online portal but it gives you no option to cancel or reschedule, which makes absolutely no sense when the office just never takes calls. The. They had the nerve to send me a no show/cancellation fee of $250! I implore everyone to stay away from this office.

After being referred to SD Womens Health following Dr. Lees retirement, I had high hopes for my new healthcare provider. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The transition between doctors was poorly managed, evident by their lack of access to Dr. Lees patient files, which has significantly impacted the continuity of my care.Ive encountered repeated issues with my prescriptions not being processed correctly or timely—issues that persisted over five months and remain unresolved. Additionally, an issue with the licensing status of the physician assistant I saw has led to my insurance refusing coverage, which has only added to the complexity and frustration of my situation. Moreover, Ive had to contact their office numerous times, upwards of 15 calls, just to secure a mammogram order. This level of service is unacceptable and has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. My experience with SD Womens Health has been very poor, characterized by administrative inefficiencies and lack of proper patient care coordination. I hope this feedback prompts a review and improvement in their processes for the benefit of all patients.

I don’t know if they’re overworked or what, but my husband is in healthcare who sees up to 14 patients a day and he was appalled at the way they treated me as their patient. I’ve told numerous people on what my experience confirming my pregnancy was with them and all the women who have gone through this process elsewhere were shocked I was treated so poorly. No bedside manners even post-surgery and no empathy for their patients. I wasn’t even congratulated for becoming pregnant by my doctor (Dr. Hill) after trying for over a year and she knew my history and operated on me with Dr. Mel. After my endometriosis surgery, I felt like I was wounded and left to tend to my own problems from it. They never told me on the effects of anesthesia on the body since I had never been completely under before. They left so many scars on my body, not sure why. I felt like a brutality victim at the end.Never willing to help their patients in any way. Even getting referrals was difficult although Amanda seems to be the one only who has empathy skills and is helpful from their office. Office always slow to respond and cancels appointments after patient arrives for not doing their work! I’ve seen it happen to me which is why I switched, patients in front of me as well as after me. Not sure why they’re in business. Maybe the surgeons are good at what they do because they did the job although its pointless to be a patient with them if they’re always mean, rude, possibly racist and don’t like you asking any questions.

I am incredibly disappointed with this office, I have been an established patient for 4 plus years and even had them deliver my daughter 2 years ago. I called today and was told even though I’m an established patient they are no longer taking anymore OB patients and did not even offer a referral to another office. What is the point of being an established patient if you are abandoned with no help when you need doctors most. I will not be returning.

I made an appointment in the Encinitas office, arrived two minutes early and was turned away. She told me I needed to arrive 20 minutes early to be seen. My email notification said my appt was at 11:20, and I got there at 11:18. She looked like she enjoyed telling me I wasnt early enough and needed to reschedule for 7 weeks out. It was rude and unnecessary. I had to rearrange work calls and plan for that time off. They arent the only place in town. I found another place, closer to home and was able to make an apt less than 2 weeks out. I would not recommend going here.

I got nothing but amazing things to say about this practice. I’ve had the pleasure to be seen by multiple providers, (Dr Hill, Caitlin and Brooke) it has been nothing but a great experience. I got my Ultrasounds done by Cece and Stephanie and they were so sweet and compassionate. I got my IUD inserted by Dr Hill and i didn’t feel a THING, I was extremely anxious and she walked me through the whole procedure which helped me feel better, she reassured me and answered every single one of my questions. Duaa and Amanda were extremely helpful during my IUD ordering process and billing.Kylee was the medical assistant during my IUD insertion and she was very sweet and even gave me an ice pack and apple juice to make sure I was good just in case I got lightheaded or anxious.Doctors can be really scary but not when you have amazing providers and staff taking care of you, thank you SO much for everything!

Hoping this review finds the right people..First off, I am 1 week and 2 days post op.. so I havent had my post op apt yet with Dr. Spring-Robinson, but when I see her I want to give her the biggest hug as well as her PA Brooke O’neill. The trauma I have endured around surgery (from prior OBGYN doctor) that let my ectopic pregnancy rupture and almost take my life… I truly never thought id step foot in an OR again unless it was without my consent. This entire expierence was peaceful and most of all, handled with the care it deserved. They exceeded the standard of care with me. I want you 2 to both know, youre both young, wildly intelligent, and successful in your profession… dont let this field break you and make you hard. Because I wont be the last woman that has a traumatic expierence like the ectopic, but having you and your staff who come in and say “I hear you, I believe you, I will fix this.”I dont know a woman who doesnt want to hear that. You made a difference in my life.Thats the first thing I wanted to address.Second! I want the person reading this to know that it took one visit with Dr. Spring-Robinson for her to say “I believe you, lets fix this.” When I told her I didnt have a good reaction to birth control, she again believed me. I was in surgery within 2.5 months of that initial visit.Dr. Spring-Robinson in every situation went above and beyond to make me comfortable and feel safe.Third! For 2 years following my ectopic, I felt like my life was foggy. Everyday I woke up with dread. I lived in pain each day. I missed 2 years of my son growing up. I was there, but I was never truly there. I missed events to stay in bed in pain. Im 1 week and 2 days post op and I cant explain the mental clarity I have now. There were days that I wished the ectopic would have just taken me (as terrible as that is to even say) but the pain would be so bad some days, the brain fog was so heavy I couldnt even be the mother to my son that he deserved. So when I say she made a difference in my life… I mean that by simply believing me and creating a safe enviroment for me to get another surgery; she gave me a second shot at living my life and being the mother that my son didnt have for 2 years due to endometriosis and the mess inside me from emergency surgery.Dr. Spring-Robinson, Brooke O’neill, and staff;I am forever grateful for all of you and a simple review just isnt enough to express that gratitude. My only hope is that someone else living in that same pain will see this as they search for a doctor to help (the same way I did) and know that you couldnt be in better hands.Be understanding that the front desk is answering non stop calls and if they dont answer, leave a message. They will return your call.Be understanding that when you have an appointment and you see alot of people in the waiting room, there is multiple physicians that work there. Thats why it looks busy. Yes they may get backed up, as most doctors office’s do! Dont let that deter you. They are worth the wait.I hope this helps! I will attach photos of me days before surgery to show how swollen I was from inflammation and a photo of me 2 days after surgery. I will also attach a photo of me after having emergency surgery (again by a different OBGYN) vs. me before surgery with Dr. Spring Robinson.Hope this helps the next person!

1. You have to pay to park to see your doctor. And the parking is not cheap, so if your appointment runs long you can pay a good amount. This is unheard of in California. The office doesn’t validate parking.2. I went in for an annual wellness exam and the exam was okay. NP was kind and allowed me to ask questions. However, the management/ billing team is incompetent. They incorrectly provided my insurance number and I was hit with a large bill. I called in and they expected me to resolve it myself.I would avoid this office if possible.

Really don’t like leaving reviews like this because I have a great deal of respect for medical care providers. I did not get the reasonable level of attention and care I expected at this practice. I had to remind my care provider of critical information from my last visit (same provider within a month and would have been easily accessible in my patient history). Because this was overlooked, unnecessary treatment was prescribed.

The nurse practitioner, Caitlin, is amazing. I have endometriosis so pap smears can be stressful and painful. She talked me through the appointment. She is friendly and professional! Right down my alley. :) FINALLY a great experience at an OB, hoping it stays this way as this was my first appointment.Only complaint so far is the delay in response to calls. I had to wait about 2 weeks to hear back to schedule a new patient appointment. I started to wonder if they even got my voicemail. So far this complaint is minor compared to the great care you receive in the office so I will be continuing to go to SDWH.

I had a great experience at my first two appointments with Dr. Spring-Robinson. I appreciated the significant time she spent listening to my concerns. Shes very empathetic and caring. However, communication and follow-up with SDWH outside of appointments is absymal. In my experience, it takes weeks to months for SDWH to reply to voice and patient portal messages, if they reply at all.For TWO MONTHS, SDWH failed to provide additional info my pharmacy need to fill an Rx Dr. Robinson prescribed in October. I persistently followed up with SDWH for 6+ weeks before having no choice but to seek care from another provider. In late December, Emily finally called to inform me the Rx info had been submitted. She noted that she was responding to my voice mail from two weeks prior. Ive never received responses to health inquires Ive submitted directly to Dr. Robinson through the patient portal. Most importantly, while Im extremely grateful that a different medication Dr. Robinson prescribed (which also required follow-ups) seems to have resolved my health problem, Im disappointed that it was offered to me only after I decided against her recommendation of major surgery. My good decision spared me from unnecessary suffering and a long, painful post-operative recovery period. The simpler, non-invasive Rx solution should have been considered first.

There is no one else I trust more than Dr. Kurtulus & Dr. Robinson when it comes to helping me with my Endometriosis issues. I’ve been seeing them for a few years now and they’ve always taken such good care of me. I had an Endo surgery with Dr. Kurtulus in 2019 & 2021, and his team was absolutely AMAZING at making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. Both doctors take the time to listen and explain everything thoroughly. I highly recommend them for your all of your gynecological needs!

I was recommended here by my physical therapist for endometriosis surgery. If you have the time to find another place, that may behoove you.The waiting room smells like cheese & BO. Front desk staff will not notify you if the doctor is running late. Every time Ive had an appointment the doctor is 30 min to 1 hour late. The waiting room has no wifi. Well, it likely does, but the staff will not share it with patients. This makes it difficult to get work done while you (inevitably) wait for your appointment. The front desk and scheduling staff would benefit from training in time management & scheduling skills. I understand emergencies come up at a doctors office. However, it is entirely possible to respect patients time by letting them know in advance if appointments will be delayed a significant amount of time (e.g., more than 30+ minutes). It is also entirely possible to set up wifi and (if I may be so bold) a water station for patients to use. Patients are typically forced to wait for long periods of time at SD Womens Health before getting the medical attention they are paying for. Thus, making the waiting room welcoming and patient-friendly would improve the experience and quality of care for patients.

This review is for Dr. Spring-Robinson at SDWM. I was referred to this OBGYN after my previous one retired. I cant speak to her surgery ability but her follow up and general attitude is one of the worst doctors (of any specialty Ive ever seen). There have been multiple accounts where her or her offices poor follow up has been beyond disappointing.1) I went in for an appointment and was prescribed medication and their office never put it in and it took 5 phone calls and multiple pushing over a week for them to do.2) I left a lab specimen at their office to have testing done and they not only lost it but after repeated phone calls for the results, never admitted nor apologized for losing it. This was for a possible infection and so you can imagine the frustration that I had to wait several days to get no information and then have to go do it again with a fever and pain.3) Called in for a refill on standard birth control and it took them over 4 days and 7 phones calls (which they never called back once) to finally get an answer that they wouldnt sign off on it. If they wont refill it, does that need 4 days to figure out?If you value a doctor who will get back to you and take your concerns seriously, look elsewhere.

The office just called and said they will have the billing department reach out to me for a no show. Its not my fault the office doesnt answer the calls. After reading through the reviews I now know that they dont ever answer the phones. So now I will get billed for a no show. Just great. I do not recommend this office.

Update: I like Dr. Spring-Robinson and feel that she is competent at her job, appearing to know more about endometrosis/adenoyomosis than a typical OBGYN, but her office staff is very disorganized! I still have to call about 5-7 times before someone picks up. It’s especially annoying when you a surgical procedure the next morning and you find out your referral has not been authorized (which is needed for insurance purposes) and pain meds have not been sent to your pharmacy and you can’t reach them no matter how many times you call. So I’m not sure if they need to hire more people, or what’s going on there, but from a patient perspective it’s very frustrating and that’s why my stars will stay at 3 for now. I’ll update if there are changes in the future.have tried about 10 times to make an initial appt with Chandra Spring-Robinson. I heard good things about her from my pelvic floor therapist but have left several voicemails and even emailed her office as well. I haven’t heard back once and no return voicemails were left. I was also told they had my contact info but again never returned my voicemails or email. I am disappointed as I wanted to be a patient of Spring-Robinson, as I have Endometrosis, but I feel that they didn’t put any effort in trying to reach me and allowing me to make a first appt. I’ve never had this problem when any doctor offices in the past. I have heard this is not common practice for them, however, it is my experience and I wanted to share. If I ever do see them, I will update my review.

Chandra Spring-Robinson is a unicorn. If you have endometriosis, or just want/need a caring, smart, dedicated OBGYN, she is the one. I am a pelvic floor PT and specialize in endometriosis (as well as have it myself). She is one of the few doctors who truly understands what this disease is, and how to properly manage it. Her and her partner Mel, are both true excision surgeons (this is very hard to find and the only ones in San Diego). I had surgery with her in February and felt cared for, heard, and a proper work-up was done prior to ensure this was the correct next step. I have done extremely well post-op, as have the several patients I have referred to their practice. Their office staff is friendly and helpful and while there is an occasional wait, it is because they are spending adequate time answering your questions and addressing your needs.

My issue is not with the physicians but with the office admin staff and management. My previous ob/gyn sold his practice to this group so they had all of my medical records. I requested my records in June of 2022 and the law says that patients need to receive requested records in 15 days. I never heard from them and never received my records! Flash forward to February 2023 and over 500 pages of my medical records were sent to the fax number I gave them the previous year. I received no notification...nothing. This was my work fax, I was on vacation at the time and my work colleagues got a front row peek at all my medical history!!! Shocking they never sent my records when I first asked for them and unforgivable that they randomly faxed them 8 months later when I had specifically told them I needed them by a certain date (which I never received). I feel violated by their disregard for my privacy . To add to the wound, I never even received a response back when I wrote to them about the incident via their website, which is why I am now writing this review. Clearly they are incompetent or just dont care, I dont know which is worse.

I was seen in the Encinitas office by Kaitlyn Hill. I went in for my appointment on Feb 7. I drove 30 minutes out of the way for them to tell me I wasn’t on the schedule. I told them I received an email for this appointment. I was told they canceled the appointment as soon as they made it and had issues with insurance. I was not notified of the cancellation or insurance issues. Instead of taking accountability for their mess up they chose to treat me like I was stupid in front of another patient. They told me “well next time don’t listen to the email only come in if we call you”. Never had that problem with past appointments. They chose to send me an apology email after I left.
