AHA OBGYN

Dr. Hannah told me she was retiring and no longer doing deliveries when I was 32 weeks along. She referred me to another OB office that wouldn’t pick up the phone. She wanted me to keep seeing her even after the referral. Needless to say I found a new OB immediately and so thankful I did. I ended up having a c section (my first surgery) with a wonderful doctor who talked me through the entire thing and made sure I was 100% comfortable. I’m so thankful I did not stay with Dr. Hannah and this mysterious doctor she referred me to.

First visit to an OB/GYN, and it was fantastic! The staff was welcoming, and Leanna made me feel at ease. At first I was nervous, but she addressed my concerns right away, providing thorough and caring information. Highly recommend this place!

Had my first appointment recently and could not say anything bad about the office or staff. I saw Leanna who was amazing and made me feel really comfortable during my exam. She walked me through each step and answered any questions I had.

Coming here was my first experience with any OB/GYN and it was a great experience! I’ve been seeing Leanna, who does such a great job of making sure I’m comfortable, know what’s going on, and have the space to ask questions. As a person with some medical anxiety, I really appreciate the efforts that the staff goes to to make sure you’re comfortable, and that you understand all of the options you have. I plan to continue coming here and I would recommend it.

First off I just have to say that if you have ever had a bad experience from another OBGYN like I have, take it from me— this office is literally a safe space. All of the staff are so caring and kind, and truly go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and well taken care of.I have been going here for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier to have found them. I have mostly seen Leanna and she is absolutely incredible. She really puts any anxiety you have at ease and will spend lots of time with you to answer any questions you have. She is very passionate about what she does, and it shows — thank you Leanna for being who you are, you are so appreciated! :)Also a big thank you to all the staff that work so hard to provide a wonderful environment for all your patients. You truly make a huge difference in mine and so many other patients lives.

The AHA office is the only doctors office Ive ever felt comfortable in as an adult. I switched to AHA from a practice that had six different OBs that pregnant patients were required to see & whoever of the six of them was at the hospital when you were having your baby was who you got. I am so happy to have found a small practice with PERSONAL care. Sometimes the wait is long, especially for an appointment with Dr. Hannah, but to me its worth it because I still never feel rushed or uncomfortable during an appointment. Melissa & Terry have always been especially helpful & friendly over the phone & at the front desk. Leanna is so patient, comforting, & relatable, and its so nice to be able to see someone close to my own age. Both her & Dr. Hannah are extremely nice & never condescending in any way - very different from other OB experiences I have had!

I am so grateful to have found this office. Front desk is always kind, the ladies who take the stats are more than personable, and Leanna is just amazing. I feel so comfortable and open at this office because of the people. I’m excited to be a patient here for my future pregnancies.

I absolutely love Dr. Hannah, Leanna, Jean, and all of the office staff. The bonds that I’ve built with everyone makes them feel more like family instead of my doctors office. I know that my questions, and concerns will always be addressed every time I am seen no matter what. I recommend AHA every time I get the chance. Forever grateful for every single one of you ❤️

I came here about a year ago for the excruciating pelvic pain I was having. I was seeing the NURSE PRACTITIONER forgot her name and original post had the wrong name and they responded not apologizing for my experience not saying what i explained was inaccurate but that the name I used was inaccurate lol, continue to read the review and please go somewhere else. When I explained the pain she ordered a pelvic ultrasound and a regular ultrasound. When the hospital sent over the results I was called in and told there was nothing wrong with me, I told her it was impossible because I was literally having the pain during the conversation. She looked at me and said you just have bad cramps and should try birth control, I told her it was happening when I wasnt on my cycle and she said well, you have a nice job so I dont think you are lying and suggested I go to the emergency. When black women complain about pain its overlooked, which is why she made the comment about having a nice job meant I wasnt lying. I went to the emergency same day and got the same test done and was told there the same thing so I chucked it up. I finally decided to get a black doctor who told me the size of the clots I showed her was not normal even though Leanna told me they were and said were going to order the same scans because none of the scans shows your ovaries, results came back and I have soft tissue piled out between my uterus and ovaries causing the pain and large clots. I just wonder why when I complained about the pain that when Leanna looked at the scans she didnt say well the ultrasounds didnt show your ovaries lets order another and make sure they get your ovaries. I would have been pain free and less bleeding for almost a yr now. Never seen the actual ob here she was always busy sitting down the two times I visited. Maybe she could have looked at the scans herself and pointed out the fact my ovaries were not apart of the scans and did more and I would have got surgery (DNC) last year instead of next Friday. Please do better as a health care professional.

Went to see Leanna today and it was BY FAR the best experience I’ve ever had with any provider. I discovered her through TikTok and Instagram and the way she presents herself online is exactly how she presents herself in person- which eased my anxiety immensely. I’ve had quite a few experiences with dismissive providers which has left me feeling very discouraged in regards to advocating for myself. Leanna was the complete opposite. She listened thoroughly, was very knowledgeable, was chatty, kind, and truly fantastic. I was super nervous but am SO pleased with my experience and I even look forward to our conversations the next time. I already recommended her to all of my friends! If you’re nervous to go in, I can assure you that Leanna is truly wonderful. I felt so safe and so heard. Couldn’t recommend her more!

This doctor (Hannah) didn’t care much about my pregnancy, wasn’t very informative and barely saw her during my prenatal visits. Also, made us wait for over a hour everytime to just check me up in 5mins. Didn’t even practice my C-section at the end. I’m glad I found a caring doctor that practiced my C-section and he is amazing!

Dr Hannah is an all around amazing person and physician...PERIOD! Shes the only OBGYN Ive had and will ever have. She asks how Im doing at EVERY apt and is genuinely concerned. Shes very reasonable and more than fair. Pleasant and kind are an understatement. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Hannah and I never wait in the lobby more than 10-15 minutes before Im called. She wasnt able to deliver my baby but the Dr. on her team did an excellent job. She called me the very next morning in the hospital to see how I was feeling and to say Congratulations. See! Awesome like I said! Her staff: Charlene, Beth and Dedra ALL rock!!!! Id highly recommend this office!!!

Dr Barbara Hannah was my OB for the both my children & she is amazing! Very caring, tentative and sweet! Love her forever! Thank you!! The staff at AHA are great as well! They’re always on top of things! Definitely recommend!!!!

Dr. Hannah is OK but she really did not give me as a black woman the attention in my opinion that she would have given to another Race which is so weird. First visit with her seemed like I was going to be in good hands then second visit the return visit she was cold barley wanted to provide me detailed information and when I told her happy holidays she just was like ok Thank you. The 4 times I was there in the waiting room , I wondered why there was not a single black person waiting to be seen.

The staff r great I love this place lot of information and help they provide you with these r my first babies yes 2 and they been there every step of the way in my journey so far great place

I have been seeing Dr.Hannah since I was about 13 years old! Due to other health issues she works closely with my neurologist and other primary care doctors to ensure I am being treated properly! She has delivered my first child and we are now preparing for the next! She is hands down the best GYN around and she cares for her patients as she would her own family! I love her and the staff in her office, very welcoming! ❤️

The staff is always professional and so nice. They are pleasant to talk to. Dr. Hannah is a great doctor and listens to my concerns. She always throughly answers my questions. I really enjoy going there.

I had the best experience with Leanna Alawait!! she is so beyond kind and caring, she made me feel totally comfortable during the entire visit. I recently delivered in July and I could not have asked for a better experience Dr. hannah was Beyond outstanding during the delivery reassured me throughout the whole process. We moved to Michigan shortly before becoming pregnant with our third child. We found Dr. Hannah through our insurance recommendations. She is an excellent doctor. My first two births were easy natural births, so we didn’t expect anything different with number three. With my third, my body had a hard time third trimester, and when it came to birth, my son was wrapped in his cord three times. Dr. Hannah was amazing through the whole thing. She was so calm and in control. I had to have an emergency C-section which was done well and is healing nicely, and most importantly, my son came out healthy and safe. I would recommend Dr. Hannah to any woman looking for someone to be there for them through their pregnancy and delivery.

AHA OBGYN has got to be one of the best clinics I’ve been to. I have been a patient at a handful of clinics in the metro Detroit area and I will say hands down, AHA impressed me the most. From the the time I stepped into the clinic to the second I stepped out, I felt listened to and cared for like I actually mattered. I had the pleasure of seeing Jeanne Gray, and it was a delight. She reached out herself with my test results in a timely matter and made sure I understood everything. I could tell that this was their norm and that this clinic operates like a well oiled machine. Of course, not every second of everyday is going to be as perfect of an encounter that I experienced but if you are a patient with them, you should consider yourself lucky to be cared for by these angels!

Leanna was professional, knowledgeable and made my first OBGYN appointment as comfortable as it can be. Definitely appreciated the time she took to explain everything to me. Staff was excellent :).

Dr. Hannah and staff are amazing! Through my two pregnancies (a singleton and twins), Dr. Hannah and the ladies on her staff were so caring and genuine. SUPER knowledgeable and always made you feel calm. Would recommend them over and over again.

Dr Barbara Hannah is one of the best OB/GYN Drs ever. She is very thorough, informative and did I mention how nice and awesome she is 😉😍The staff has always been very warm and friendly also, its like a one big happy family! I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone!

Dr. Hannah delivered all three of my daughters. She answers all of your questions and is always positive and makes you feel as if you are her only patient when you know she is a busy woman. She is an awesome doctor with a beautiful heart!

I wasted my time and left work early to come to the doctor. The MA was mad because I didnt want to fill out a patient survey. I am in pain the last thing I want to do is fill out a patient survey. I would never recommend anyone to come here. Dr. Hannah didnt take the time to listen to my problem. I guess its normal to constantly be in pain.

I haven’t seen an OBGYN in years. I was extremely nervous because I’ve always had bad experiences with my previous OBGYN. Dr. Barbara Hannah was so gentle, patient, through, and took time to answers my questions. I will never go to another OBGYN.

I’d highly recommend this office for females who’ve never been to a gynecologist office & are nervous/worried about their visit. The AHA team will walk you through every step of your visit & will let you know that YOU are the one in control of your body, healthcare decisions, & appt. Leanna, PA is the best of the best!

I love Dr. Hanna, she is educated, honest, and thorough. She answers all my questions without making me feel silly. I trust her enough to drive 50 miles to see her!

I amongst other woman take their health very seriously and that’s why I choose places that use best practice. I went in for a copper IUD insertion and experienced pain which is obviously not their fault. However, when it came to my 6month check up to see if it was in place, they ignored my complaints of severe pain and how my strings felt longer. Best practice is to do a transvaginal ultrasound to check correct placement but they said oh we can see the strings so it’s fine. Went to another DO and they performed an ultrasound and saw that it was dislodged into my cervix. Now I completely understand the complications that come with the IUD, I just am astounded they do not check it’s placement after with an ultrasound. Just highlighting my experience as I went to a DR. who listened to my concerns and offered me numbing and an ultrasound before and after another IUD insertion. There’s better places out there ladies.

I have been seeing Dr. Hannan for several years and I Love her professionalism and personal touch she has with me. The office is always immaculate and her staff is very friendly.
