I have been a patient of Dr. Perez for almost 20 years. He delivered my 2 sons, 1 of which was premature at 2lbs 10oz, and a miscarriage in between - and Dr. Perez was with me all the way. He is kind, thoughtful, has amazing bedside manners, and is very professional. His nurse Mara is a gem and his office staff is great. I highly recommend Dr. Perez!

I love the fact that Dr. Perez seats with me in his office after my exam, and goes thoroughly through all my questions, provides his wisdom for the best outcome. Just recently, I brought in my teenage daughter to see him, he was very patient & answered all her questions. 10 out of 10 !!!

First time I see Dr. Perez. I have been battling endometriosis for over 7 years now. I’m 31 years old and hoping to start a family. Dr. Perez is very straight forward and to the point. I appreciate him taking the time to sit down to talk to me and understand my medical history. We came up with a game plan together and I’m looking forward to being under his care. I am in search of a new doctor and my insurance company listed Dr. Rafael J. Perez. First of all, a “ROBOT” answers the phone with instructions to press the extensions he provides. Once I press extension given for Jasmin, Appointment Coordinator I get the very same “ROBOT” with same instructions. Found it kind of unusual for a doctor’s office but went with it and left a voice message with my name, telephone number and reason for my call. Nobody has called me back so I called again three days later. The phone rang over eight times, but this time a recording saying “Please leave your message BEEEEEP!!!! No greetings whatsoever like “Thank you for calling Dr. Perez” or “We apologize for the inconvenience, we are busy with other patients, please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible”. NOTHING!!! ZILCH!!! NADA!!! I double checked and I have the right number.A high percentage of “most recent” reviewers are rating this business 5 stars. Most of these reviewers have less than a handful of reviews and describe the business as “excellent, professional, friendly, caring.” And the ones that really stand out to me, and not in a good way are people who give them 5 stars and say nothing about their so-called experience!! 🤔I find these reviews very skeptical and suspicious, and they cannot be trusted! Too many red flags here, I should have listened to my instincts and not waste my time and energy with this office. Needless to say I will be going elsewhere.Folks beware of this facility and do your own research before making your own decision. Good luck with your search!061124

Dr Rafael is very professional and attentive. I had a robotic hysterectomy a 10 years ago, and everything was perfect. I can exercise like I used to do it, lift weights, run, dance, and zumba.Now, I have waited a lot to see him to my annual evaluation. It is worthy, he takes his time to respond my questions. Amazing Dr. however office staff is very unprofessional. Last year they billed the wrong insurance, when my wife received the bill she called them and asked them to bill the right insurance. She called every month since and they assured her it would be taken care of. Last Monday she got a bill from a collections office. She has left messages for office manager and spoke to front desk staff and nobody will return her calls to tell her what’s being a done to fix the issue.It’s a shame that I feel forced to use this medium to try to get the Drs attention since it seems his office staff is not at the level of his outstanding medical care.

Dr. Perez is a great profesional and person. He really takes his time listening to you and what you feel and he usually recommends natural, non-invasive treatments as a first option. He is also really knowledgeable and has a great friendly attitude that makes you feel at ease and comfortable. The staff is also very friendly and kind. The wait time is usually long (about 45min to 1 hour) but I think it is because the doctor really takes his time with each patient so its a balance. Also, if you are a new patient it is tough to get a quick appointment. It usually takes like a month wait. I drive almost 45 min to his office because he is a very good doctor. Would definitely recommend.

Posting this out of concern, I thought Dr. Perez was a great surgeon until I was manipulated. I was misled about things I needed repaired so I remained several years in horrible pain fighting to get someone to fix what he said he would but really hadnt. What he did fix due to lack of follow ups I had to go elsewhere for help. I also had many months of bleeding from my bladder until I began passing a large clot after surgery, never knew until now due to no access to my medical files from this office that I had tested positive for a bladder infection. No one in his office cared and no one else treated it either and I got very sick. He did however run an important test I had requested, but he never met with me about results but rather discontinued my care. Due to no support Ive now suffered from lung and GI issues for several years and am still battling to get proper treatment for a rare genetic issue this test came back positive for. Make sure your surgeon truly cares about your wellbeing as this turned into a nightmare for me and cost me dearly.

Dr. Perez is very thorough and takes the time to speak with his patients. The staff are polite and friendly. It has been a good experience for over 20 years.

Dr Perez and his staff are very professional. I have had several consults for my condition and he is the only Dr that has offered me the option to preserve my uterus. Dr. Raphael Perez is a unicorn ladies! Hes a surgeon that is not only super knowledgeable, but also caring AND conscientious! I went thru a complicated surgery that in years gone by could have meant a complete hysterectomy. Dr. Perez believes in preservation of your organs when possible, and he did just that for me. Multiple fibroids, endometriosis and cysts removed, and he was able to leave all of my organs intact. I was up and running with 5 little perfect incisions in less than a week. Its been over 5 years if not longer since I have had Dr Perez as my OBGYN. The entire staff is courteous and Dr Perez reminds me of what Doctors are like in the other parts of the world. He is patient, listens to you, talks to you and makes you feel like a person, not some token that is brining money to the office. My pregnancy became a high-risk pregnancy since week 32 due to premature contractions and shortening of cervix. Since these issues came up, Dr. Perez provided state of the art medical interventions in a timely manner , which allowed my pregnancy to stay until week 40. His care and medical services were excellent until day of delivery, so I would definitely recommend him as an excellent health care provider for mothers-to-be.

Dr. Perez is a miracle worker! I found him through South Miami Hospital’s Fibroid Center and I came to him because I suffered from two massive uterine fibroids, one over 12cm. Dr. Perez was able to remove them laparoscopically with only a few small incisions while maintaining my fertility intact. Recovery was only a few days and my cycles returned to normal without all the discomfort caused by the fibroids. It has now been one year since my surgery and I feel wonderful. Definitely recommend Dr. Perez to any other women suffering from uterine fibroids!
