Dr. Kruse and Dr. Guan are both very intelligent, informative and skilled at what they do. Going into acupuncture I really did not know a lot, I just knew that with my infertility issues, I needed additional help along with the IVF treatment I currently was receiving from another clinic. Also, I really loved the idea of TCM as part of my care.Fast forward 4 months... Ive had a successful egg retrieval, menstrual cycles, no more migraines and I am sleeping better.I did not think my egg quality or egg count would be great but my mind was blown at the results and I know that was possible due to the acupuncture I received.I am currently still receiving acupuncture as I go into my transfer and will continue post transfer as well.If youre reading this and wondering if acupuncture helps with infertility, dont wonder. Do it. It cant hurt you, its only going to increase your chances.Also, you cant go wrong with either doctors, theyre both great.

I have been a longtime acupuncture patient but recently moved to Minneapolis and was in search of a new doctor. after much research I opted for Shen - and I feel lucky to have found it.The offices are in a great space, easy access and parking. Dr. Guan is awesome - kind, attentive, and very thorough as she listens to your issues and concerns. After the first treatment, I was noticeably improved and have not had a recurrence of the issue. I will be adding them to my self-care roster going forward.

I had a great first acupuncture experience at Shen Acupuncture! Dr. Kruse is an amazing practitioner that thoroughly reviewed my medical history before starting a targeted acupuncture course followed by slide cupping. She really cares about her patients and took time to get to know my specific needs. Also, the space is really cool and clean, and everyone is so nice. If you’re looking to try out acupuncture, this is a great place to go. I will be back!

Shen Accupuncture is incredible and I’m so lucky to have gone here now for over two years! Both Dr. Kruse and Dr. Guan are amazing and wonderful practitioners. I’ve been very pleased with my acupuncture treatment with Dr. Guan. I was a little worried because I had never had acupuncture therapy before, but I’m glad that I decided to give it a try. I started three weeks ago after experiencing sudden and severe anxiety, which was very disorienting. Dr. Guan was accommodating and took the time to explain, in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine, how acupuncture can help with mental health and anxiety in particular. It was validating to see how many of my symptoms aligned with my diagnosis. I’ve always felt very welcome and heard, and all my concerns are always addressed. I’m really glad my first experience with acupuncture was at Shen.

As someone who is very skeptical by alternative medicines, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of my treatment with Dr. Guan! Over a period of a couple months, I slowly began having constant tension headaches. Dr. Guan assured me this was treatable. She did a great job explaining acupuncture and how the treatment plan would work. After my first session, I noticed positive change. Dr. Guan has a warm presence, discerning mind, and skilled hands! Ive greatly enjoyed the time Ive spent under her care--she is helping me treat chronic digestive issues.I had never had acupuncture before coming here this month, but I was already familiar with shiatsu and other energy-focused methods of healing. The atmosphere of the space is so calming, everything that is going to happen is always explained in plain language, and there is always time to ask questions beforehand.I saw immediate relief after my first treatment, and now Im about to go back for my 6th and cant believe how settled and calm my stomach feels each day! I am so grateful Dr. Guan is helping me treat the root cause of my issue, so that I can have a balanced system.

Dr. Kruse was so welcoming and inviting right from the first meeting, I love her approach to acupuncture while going over your goals and the input and knowledge she has to offer. Dr. Kruse is an exceptional practitioner, she is the most thorough and thoughtful acupuncturist I have seen. I saw Dr. Kruse for an herbal consultation and she took the time to learn about my fertility journey including surgery for endometriosis and IUI, and more recently acupuncture alone. Based on my history she prescribed an herbal product that worked well for me, and fortunately I became pregnant after three months on this regimen! I am now 13 weeks pregnant and everything has been healthy and normal. I love sharing my experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shen with my midwife team at my clinic. I feel so supported and cared for and I can’t thank Dr. Kruse enough for her professional and attentive care.

Ive been a patient here for many years now and absolutely love the care I receive. I always leave feeling refreshed and having lower stress levels. The chronic neck pain I experience has greatly diminished and even disappeared at times, thanks to Dr. Kruses expertise and care as shes treated me over the last several years. The modern medicine could not help me in a sustainable way and Dr. Di Guan listened to me like nobody has before. My body functions way better than it ever did in the past. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr.Kruse and her tailored approach to my treatment. What initially brought me to see her was TMJ, but she has identified and treated a multitude of other ailments along the way that I previously wouldn’t have ever thought treatable (i.e. plum pit qi). If you’re thinking about adding acupuncture or cupping as part of your wellness journey, I can’t recommend Dr. Kruse enough!

Dr. Kruse is amazing, highly recommend! In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, warm, and professional, Dr. Kruse identified a solution for my cat allergies after a multitude of providers failed to do so.Having extreme cat allergies has been very limiting – since childhood I have not been able to spend more than 15min in a cat owners’ home without experiencing an extreme allergic reaction. I’ve tried every combination & dosage of medication, hiring professional cleaners prior to visits, online advice, etc. – nothing worked. The state’s top allergist delivered a hopeless prognosis, stating the best I could do was avoid cats and invest in an EpiPen.Yet after establishing a treatment protocol with Dr. Kruse I’ve successfully attended multiple social engagements INSIDE cat houses without experiencing an allergic attack – and given the alarming rate of cat ownership amongst the millennial demographic this is nothing short of lifechanging. And while I’ve historically been admittedly skeptical of non-western medicine in the past, Dr. Kruse has opened my eyes to the efficacy & value of Eastern modalities of care.

Attentive care that is simply really helpful. I have a fear of needles, and I don’t understand why it works, it just does. Shen acupuncturists are kind, thoughtful experts who care deeply about helping clients feel better. For me it is healing and cathartic. Every time.
