FPA Womens Health

I have been coming here since I can remember and all of my visits have been exceptional thanks to the staff! They really make me feel welcomed and comfortable, even in uncomfortable situations. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable, always making sure all my questions are answered. Thank you!!

Honestly I was skeptical at first (with experiencing another place that offers similar services that isn’t planned parenthood in my area) it’s hard to find a place that’ll accept emergency MediCal and also offer all the services a woman would need, and without getting into details about my appointments, I’ve had two so far and they’ve been great with discretion, (for anyone with anxiety sometimes there are protesters there in the morning, I was fortunate enough to have someone walk me in when they were there, but usually clear out by the afternoons it seems.) They make you feel comfortable, it’s mostly women except for maybe one male doctor and he’s always with a female nurse or doctor in the room with you, and the wait wasn’t bad at all both times I’ve gone. I’m going to continue to go for my next doses of vaccines. And when I went for Birth Control they gave me a years worth with emergency contraception. They’ve been very helpful honestly.

I want to start by saying I have extreme health anxiety that’s only increased with a lack of good experiences with medical professionals. So I came in nervous even though it was just for birth control refill. The nurse I had was nice but noticed my blood pressure was a little high which trigger my anxiety even more, to which I explained to her I’m really nervous. They took my blood pressure again which was higher now because now I’m even more nervous and she says we’ll see what the doctor says.At that point I’m unable to calm down and I’m put into a room to wait for the doctor. The doctor comes in and is nice but tells me the same thing but now is telling me all the bad things that will happen if my blood pressure is high and I continue on my pill (stroke, heart attack, etc.). This is when I state again that I have bad health anxiety and that’s probably causing my high blood pressure. Now this what upset me the most, the doctor response that basic anxiety would not raise my blood pressure and I quote “even if a car was coming straight at me my blood pressure shouldn’t rise”?????? Now I’m in full blown panic and start crying and she takes me blood pressure again and of course it’s high because I’m stressed beyond belief.I left feeling gaslit and traumatized because I felt like wasn’t being listened to and stressed out further which kept making my results worse. I know health anxiety exist and I know that it makes my heart feel like it’s going to jump out my chest which of course is going to affect my blood pressure! So instead of helping me calm down to get an accurate reading and kept being told my anxiety had nothing to do with of it.

I had such a great experience here . She answered all the questions . The staff was super helpful , welcoming and just nice . I’ve never felt so comfortable at a women’s health appt . Definitely would recommend it .

I would 100% recommend this clinic. I was very nervous as I have not had an anual check up since 2022. They took care of all my needs and was even able to get finical aid from the state since I did not have insurance. Would recommend to all my sister in laws

I had missed my period and I did not get an early appointment with my OBGYN and hence came to this place to confirm my pregnancy. And they told me my urine results were NEGATIVE( my home test was positive on the same day) luckily I hd my Regular appointment with my OBGYN in next couple of days who confirmed that I was Pregnant. Totally shocked and disappointed with this place. They also charged a Co pay of $65.00 just for a urine test. Wish I could give them 0 stars.

I dont like the wait time it took me over 2 hours to get see. Waited for about 1 hour or 1.5 hours, than waited an additional 1hr in the room waiting to get seen to get my Birth control inserted... everyone here are with serious faces no smile at all in the back!

I would give them 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Absolutely amazing staff, very polite, attentive and helpful! Speacial thank you to a doctor named Tiffany. She did the procedure that is suppose to be charged from my pocket but they wont. It was my first time here. I didnt even know if Ill be eligible for a financial assistance but they directed me perfectly with all I have to do and I got approved for the the State of California Health Access program. Super happy since I like take care of myself but Ive been struggling lately, so couldnt afford vistining doctors and medical insurance no more. Im not an American, everything I go through here is new for me. So I did my annual check without paying a penny. My friend advice me FPA Womens health as an option and it worked perfectly!!! She did birth control chip with FPA (one of the latest creations) that cost like 1500 for free as she got approved too! You are amazing! Take care of ourselves and be healthy is the key to a long life full of wonderful moments! Thank you, team FPA Womens Health for the great job, especially Mission Hills department!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I definitely recommend this location! I was super nervous but the ladies made me feel calm and welcomed. I was able to get everything I needed done and more. The check in process was easy and I felt cared for the entire time I was there. Thank you ladies!!!

The FPA staff here are so helpful, sweet, kind and considerate. I always leave here informed and feeling good. But today was especially wonderful, my provider Adetutu was great! it’s even hard to put into words. She is the true meaning of a doctor, sweet, patient, informative, and so much more.

I had a colposcopy at this location on 10/18/23 and I used my insurance. This company made adjustments to my billing record on 1/29/24 and sent me a text message indicating that I now had a balance of $204.07 AND it was due immediately. I suggested they send me a bill. I received it a week later and saw the adjustment months after the appointment. I requested twice in February that someone explain this to me. I did not hear back. This company ignored my texts (remember, they are the ones that initiated the texting when trying to collect the balance) while continuing to mail me the same billing statement (three times total now).I finally called Friday 3/8/24 and spoke to someone who was very sweet and kind but could not explain the $204.07 to me, especially since it was applied months after the appointment. She told me I would be hearing from a billing manager the following Monday 3/11/24.I did not hear from a billing manager, but I did receive a letter from a COLLECTIONS AGENCY indicating that a lawsuit will be filed if I did not pay this balance within 15 days of the date of the letter. The letter is undated.I am a healthcare provider and this companys billing practices are absolutely disgusting. I dont know if they hired someone who doesnt know what they are doing, or if someone left the company and theyre understaffed, but people with health problems should NEVER be reported to collections when they are actively attempting to seek understanding about their bill. I am able and willing to pay, but these charges are questionable and need to be explained.

Every time I visit this location I am greeted with a smile and a friendly attitude from the ladies at the front. Everyone here must be drinking the same happy juice because they are all polite happy and the vibe of the office is totally chill and they work really hard and go above and beyond to treat each patient with respect. Ive been visiting many womens health clinics within the many years Ive been alive and not one of them has ever stood up to FPA Womens Health standards kudos to you guys you all are the best!

Went in for a very sensitive procedure and they were so caring and helpful. I didn’t feel judged in anyway. This is was health care should always be like.

I honestly felt like it was a safe space for women’s care and health. I’ve been to other practices before but nothing compares to the care I recieved today. Thank you for your service 🫶🏼

My wait time was horrible but as a patient that hasnt been there for many years...it is what it is. I was fortunate enough to have the ability to make an appointment so fast and the procedure took no time. My old clinic never bothered to contact me back let alone answer a phone so Im grateful to have been able to go to this place and have the implant Removed. They took great care of me. Everyone was so nice. I would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot thank this place enough. Despite a longer wait than expected, I love this place for what they do. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely use their services again. I’m so happy I went with them over Planned Parenthood. The staff is so much nicer. They make you feel comfortable, not judged , and taken care of. Please keep up the fantastic work ladies!Edit: 5/22/23 After my anesthesia wore off I realized that I am not happy about this place. In fact I am angry and disappointed. I regret my procedure and upset that I was not provided a consultation like what I heard is done at other clinics. I feel I should have been sat done and counseled to determine that the decision I was making was best for me and what I really wanted.

Came in for my yearly girly checkUp and must say everyone is so nice and they explain everything to you. I would definitely be coming back! Thank you!

Highly recommend!!! The facility was nice and very clean. Communication was great. The nurses were great. My Dr was amazing she talked with me before starting procedure which really helped with my anxiety. I didn’t feel nor hear anything during procedure, recovery time went well.

I loved it here, I felt welcomed and the staff are so kind!

I literally drive out of town just to come here. Everyone is so nice, you don’t feel judged, they’re so helpful. They care for you like no other and I’m truly grateful for them. It’s so easy to talk to them. The service they provide is what makes me come back to them even though there’s a location closer to me.

I saw Dr Stephanie this past weekend for a procedure and she gave me the best bed side manner along with the staff. Highly recommend this place.I was an out of state patient and I want to say I am glad I came to this place. I did research upon making an appointment and I am grateful I chose this practice. Dr. Weber and the staff was absolutely amazing! Thank you all for being so professional and nice.

The wait time is insane even with an appointment. I waited for 2 and a half hours just for birth control.

I have gone here for over 6 years and it’s always been great. Wonderful staff and they are so helpful. All staff make you feel very comfortable.

Front desk staff are rude. One lady didn’t offer me a pen and complained because I used the only pen I had. The medical assistant was trying to force me to sign documents that didn’t pertain to me. Then she was rude to me when the BP machine didn’t work. They aren’t friendly here. No one smiled or showed an ounce of empathy.

Great experience every time!! This is the best local clinic for womens health and every time I have had a pleasant experience. I feel comfortable to talk to the providers about my questions or concerns and genuinely feel they give me the best options without being biased. A+ for the easy set up to schedule an appointment. I had an amazing experience here getting my Nexplanon implant removed. I was incredibly anxious since I had a traumatic experience with the insertion. The nurse made me feel very understood and talked through the whole process, making sure I was comfortable and felt safe. The removal was quick and pain free after the pinch of the numbing shot. I definitely recommend getting a birth control implant removed here!

Went in to get my old nexplanon taken out and a new one inserted. The building is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!Update: I went once again to get my nexplanon taken out and a new one inserted. I also got my pap done while I was here. Again the staff was very friendly and makes you feel comfortable during the process.

Went here for an annual exam and was very nervous as it was my first time at FPA. All of the staff that I encountered were reassuring and very kind. Overall the appointment was about an hour long. They also have an option to receive results over a virtual meeting which I greatly appreciate!

I like coming to this office. I like that it’s an all women staff, it makes me feel more comfortable. They are very informative and very friendly. My office visits usually are between 1 hour to 2 hours I guess it just varies on how busy they are so be prepared to be there for a bit. Overall 5 stars.

The staff is always so professional and kind!! The medical assistant who drew my blood and pricked my finger has such a soft touch I never feel any pain and the dr is always nice and listens to any questions I might have!!! Front desk is great with helping get my insurance/papers in order.. always an easy process coming here.. thank you ladies!!!

Kind, accurate, knowledgeable, helpful, and fast! So grateful for these lovely ladies and what they do. I used to be Planned Parenthood all the way until I was looking up one nearby and the reviews unfortunately were a bummer and the reviews for FPA were phenomenal. They did not lie.

Bathrooms really clean, quite Im there, fast with appointments, took me max 1 hour when I got there and left

Was told I could get testing done here and paid out of pocket for the appointment. I went over the tests I wanted to get done with the nurse and she went over the cost and said they could do it and so I paid for my appointment. Once I started testing they said that they couldn’t do half of the tests I asked for! Their reasoning was I was was too young.

Ive been going here for a long time and although the faces change, the vibes here never do. The people that work here are kind and caring, efficient and speedy when they can and dang it, there so dang amazing. Today Janet and Velinda helped my and along with the receptionist (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) i was in and out in 30 minutes. Jeez Louise Papa cheese 🧀 these folks are fantastic!

My nurse was super amazing!! I am the most sensitive person when it comes to any sort of feminine health- the pap and the UDI insertion was seriously so well done. I was informed step by step and it was seamless. I was so thankful to my nurse, I even wrote her a thank you note. It meant that much to me that the procedures went really well.

Awesome experience. Doctors are always so friendly. And warning although sometimes these visits can be hard. They don’t make you feel horrible.

Loved the practitioner very respectful and made me feel very comfortable... also nurses and front and back office ladies were very nice and answered all my questions ... female in the lab was gentle great phlebotomist! Overall made me feel very welcome and were a great help!

I have been to this place twice and both times I was taking care of and did not feel like I was just another body but more like a human being. The wait time can be a little long but compared to other businesses that offer the same services I would highly consider checking this place out. You wont be disappointed

Wooohoo! I am so impressed how hardworking and friendly every individual in this office is. Scheduling an appointment online is EASY, they send and remind you of your appointment as well. I have been a patient here for maybe 5 years now and each time I am leaving happy and feel very confident in the services they provide. My Care coordinator Susan was able to explain everything to me clearly. My reason for this review is the exceptional Tierra! She is pure gold! She helped me with my IUD insertion and removal. Tierra is knowledgeable, personable, and very professional. Thank you FPA Women Health Mission Hills office!

The wait time and gotten 100% better. In and out with in 45 mins. The best staff! They make you feel so comfortable and Knowledgeable when you leave. Couldnt ask for more.To a comment I saw this place isnt Sexist! In the name it says Womens health! If I went to a place that said mens health. I wouldnt expect them to see me.

I like this clinic there really friendly and helpful the girls there are really nice ..and when they put me the uid was fast n not painful totally recommended this for birth control

All the staff are helpful, friendly, and attentive. The attending PA Tierra is knowledgeable and explains everything throughly so that all patients can understand all procedure and treatment options. I appreciate her sharing her knowledge and helping me understand all care options available to me.

I arrived about 20 minutes before I was scheduled to go in and they called me in on time. Everyone who attended me where very nice. Was in and out for a UTI within 30 mins max - I already know my symptoms since UTIs are common for me. Doctor confirmed, prescribed antibiotics. Im very thankful for this clinic!

From beginning to end the services at this location was great! I have never been to this location prior to my services on 9.14.20 and the ladies from checking in to seeing the Physician Assistant was amazing! keep up the great service and work ladies!

A few of the women there have attitudes. It’s a turn off to come because it’s not very welcoming whether you call for information or come in. Besides them having attitudes the service here is fairly quick.

This clinic is extremely through and professional. Workers are extremely friendly and helpful.

This place is a joke. They are completely unorganized and dont go by what time you actually make your appointment. I sat in the waiting room watching people come and go while my girlfriend just sat in the back room waiting.......completely unprofessional.Go anywhere else. Now to add to my review most people do same day testing......its been 2 and a half weeks and still havent got any results back. This place is an absolute joke I wish I could give negative stars.

Ive been coming here (Mission Hills location) for my birth control, check ups, all that. And theyve been absolutely great with me. The staff all make you feel comfortable and secure.

Dr Mann is the best. I choose to go here just for her. Shes worth the 2 hour wait!!! Most of the girls that work there are friendly but theres a few who could use some better training on how to work with patients. I used to go to facey but once I met dr Mann I changed over to their clinic

I was feeling nervous about going to a clinic during COVID, but I needed to see a provider about my birth control method. FPA Womens Health Clinic is amazing! Its located on the 2nd floor in a business building and theres a large parking lot behind the building. The chairs in the waiting room were spaced out, masks were required, and the clinic was clean. The medical assistant who helped me and the PA Tierra were so kind, patient, and quick! They answered all my questions. I was in and out after 1 hour. I will definitely be back for any of my reproductive needs!

The staff is amazing they’re very nice and very welcoming. This is one of the best womens clinic I’ve ever been too.

Staff here is friendly and fast! Place is clean and well organized. My visits usually take about 30 minutes. Which is not bad at all. Its not over crowded.

I always feel very comfortable when I do my regular check ups. The entire staff are friendly, they stay on top of everything! :)

Overall I got what I needed to be done . However , there is NO compassion from the staff when dealing with certain situations there . I won’t go into detail but don’t expect any sympathy or warmth . They do Not care ... but the process was fast and I’mThankful I was able to goThrough it quickly .

Honestly this place was amazing, everyone was so informative and helpful, and sooo kind. They actually made me feel like a human not just another patient to them. Everyones so respectful and all i got was good vibes from everyone.

I read all reviews but not once have I had a bad experience with this place . People complaining about wait time . Come on anywhere u go is a wait time banks, grocery stores dentist etc the staff is nice and doctors are good .

Everyone was very nice. The only use was I am a plus size and I hardly fit in their chairs at the waiting rooms.

Terrible Terrible service, made an appointment ahead of time, came in 10 minutes earlier and waited 2 hours to be seen. Meanwhile they kept moving me from one waiting area to another.... waist of time.

THE BEST CLINIC.!!!!!!!!!!!!The people who work there are very friendly, the place is clean and they have security cameras. I felt calm because while I was in the consultation, my children were in the waiting room. I thought it would take hours like in other clinics, but it didnt. We were in the place for less than 1 hour.Without a doubt it is the bestI recommend it!!!!!
