This doctor is very arrogant and misleading. I froze my eggs with him and got good results - I was healthy when I froze as an insurance policy. I have 3 beautiful boys... . But I wanted to write a note to warn anyone looking to freeze eggs or have babies that you can go to a place that will give you it all. This is NYC so fortunately you dont have to settle. Do your research. There are better labs (though their lab is ok) and the doctors have far better reputations. Beware of him.

My OB/Gyn recommended me to Dr. Copperman after trying to conceive for a year with no luck. My husband and I are in our early 30’s and neither of us have significant health issues. As I made my consultation appt with Dr. Copperman’s assistant, I immediately felt like I would be in good hands. Her tone and demeanor on the phone put me at ease. It’s very easy to be rubbed the wrong way when making that first call for making any medical appt depending on who picks up the phone. Am I right? As my husband and I met with Dr. Copperman for our first consultation, he took the time to first get to know us (it wasn’t strictly business). It was nice that he wanted to learn about us more on a personal level and that we weren’t just another couple that were added to a fertility line. After a nice conversation about our background, he discussed with us some various options that we could try depending results of some tests. We then determined that IVF was right for us. Something that I really appreciated during this first discussion was that Dr. Copperman would remind us that if one method didn’t work, we would try again or try something else. This is already stressful enough, and some of that stress subsided knowing that he wouldn’t give up on us.We were then paired with Dr. Copperman’s primary Nurse, Leyla, who is now one of my best friends, and she talked us through what to expect throughout the whole IVF process. Yes, there’s lots of steps! Bloodwork, meds, egg retrieval, implantation, etc., but once our treatment process started, Leyla and Dr. Copperman were both incredibly encouraging. If I had any confusion, any frustration, I consistently experienced relief after speaking with Leyla. Whether it was showing me how to do the injections at home, or asking questions (NO question is dumb), I felt I could share, ask anything, whatever it may be that I had on my mind. Both Leyla and Dr. Copperman have a genuine caring and warmth personality, and a natural gift in this field of fertility. I felt fortunate to have had both their support. We were blessed to have success with our first attempt with IVF and went on to have our beautiful baby boy. We would recommend Dr. Copperman and Leyla to anyone considering or attempting fertility treatment.Although we were lucky with the first try, Don’t Give Up! Dr. Copperman’s team will be there for you and do everything they can to help you on this journey!

Firstly, please know that there is a link between pumping your body up with fertility drugs/stimulants, and ovarian cancer (and likely other cancers too). My wife and I met with Dr. Alan Copperman twice when we were trying to get pregnant. The first visit was friendly enough, and informative. However, after a few tests were done, and it appeared as though we were unlikely to be able to conceive, Dr. Coppermans demeanor changed. I dont know if it was because someone else was in his office and he was trying to impress her, but he was more or less rude to my wife (arrogant, abrasive, disrespectful), to the extent that I almost confronted him, once I had processed his behavior in the waiting room. I hesitated to escalate matters because I thought that my wife may still want to work with him (she had gone through a lot to just get to that point). Unfortunately, I still sometimes regret not confronting him. He also said the he would call my wife back, but he never did. I could be wrong, but my guess is that his attitude changed, once he realized that there was likely no financial gain to be had any longer, so we became unimportant. Again, I could be wrong. Maybe this Doctor, Alan Copperman, was just having a bad day. I get it, and I know that we are all flawed. I dont know. I do know that he was not a nice person to my wife, or myself when we last met. I also know that he is likely dealing with a lot of people who are desperate to have a child, and who are willing to pay anything and put up with any kind of nonsense, or heinous behavior from him, in order to get pregnant. For the record, I would not recommend Dr. Alan Copperman. I would also like to add that the nurses, and other employees at the RMA facility were responsive, respectful, and friendly.

Very unsympathetic doctor. No emotions. Im very surprised he was on Dr. Oz. these kinda of doctors promote themselves with woman who can easily get pregnant and not on those that can take a bit of a challenge. I met him once and he never followed up with me ever.
