Dr. Lauber is both honest and skilled at what he does.Hes not only friendly and funny, but he WILL make sure he gets to the root of the issue and wants to see you improve. Hes one of the very few doctors that wont toss you a treatment and then overcharge you for it. He will set aside time for you, and go out of his way to make sure the problem is treated, no matter how stubborn the acne or condition is. Aside from a top tier education, he has YEARS of experience with vast cases, so the problem WILL get taken care of with him. I can tell how much he genuinely cares about his patients and his practice. One phone call with him and you will NOT regret it! Hes one of the best doctors in the county who loves what he does. I’ve known Dr Lauber for 3 decades but moved away and had not seen him for awhile. I was back in town and called his office on a Saturday on a whim - and he gave me an appointment within an hour of me calling. He diagnosed my chronic eczema rash immediately, and I walked out with all supplies needed to treat it.It’s hard to find doctors like this who are extremely accessible, cut to the chase, and focus on what patients need. Amazing! Dr Laubel is truly a genuine doctor who cares about his patients. Went in with a “sun spot” on my face another doctor misdiagnosed. Had been growing and changing so decided to see Dr Laubel, turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. Dr. Laubel provided treatment that will not scar my face, curable and also the least expensive form. Dr. Lauber helped me get completely clear skin within 7 months with accutane and honestly it would have been a lot sooner if I didnt stray away from his advice and use evil commercial, problem-targeting products again. If anything, I should have gone to him way sooner because he is 100% reliable and very good at what he does (Education background at UCLA, USC, Tulane). I called Dr. LAUBER late on a Friday night but reached his answering machine informing me that he would be on vacation for the next two weeks. However, about an hour later, Dr. Lauber returned my call, which I never expected because it was after his business hours and I wasn’t even a patient of his! Dr. Lauber is completely and utterly one of the most honorable physicians I have met. I wanted to shed light and try to do justice on how appreciative I am of Dr. Lauber. First and foremost I am a college student who was interested in being seen by Dr. Lauber. Not only did Dr. Lauber call me first thing in the morning but he is the first healthcare provider Ive experienced that personally called me multiple times that day since I wasnt able to answer. He was very honest with me, and told me to save my money and recommended I instead see a different doctor he told me about who is more specialized in my condition within my insurance plan. On top of that he gave me such impactful advice in regards to school as I am pursuing a career in medicine. His words of wisdom were highly appreciated and I cannot describe how much that meant to me. Dr. Lauber genuinely cares about his patients and isnt like other money hungry doctors who take advantage of vulnerable patients. From the first phone call with Dr. Lauber, I knew I was in good hands. He is very caring and took the time really think about my case and to get to know my situation. I went for my initial consultation, and Dr. Lauber ended up not charging me at all— he recommended that I consult elsewhere for laser treatment for a quicker option for my case. Dr. Lauber is an absolutely fantastic doctor AND a great guy. Weve been going to him for years for various things - always an annual skin cancer check up - but also for a handful of other things that have come up over the years.One thing that I so appreciate is how he takes complex doctor-physician-led school nomenclature and descriptions, and then turns them into plain and understandable English.He also really cares. Just last week I went to see him about something concerning on my hand - he followed up with me every single day (including Saturday and Sunday), just to make sure all was still going ok.Very impressive and so much appreciated!!!

Dr. Lauber is a one of kind doctor that truly cares about his patients and knows his stuff. After 6 months of seeing multiple doctors and dermatologists I was at my wits end and called Dr. Lauber’s office on a Saturday evening and to my pleasant surprise, I got a call back from Dr. Lauber himself on Sunday. I mean what doctor cares enough to call back themselves and on a Sunday?! We had a detailed consultation over the phone, and he was able to see me the next day. Upon arriving to his office, he spent over an hour going over my condition, its root causes, treatment options, my concerns, and questions. He immediately knew my previous prescriptions were part of the problem as they contained a large amount of alcohol and were literally flammable. To prove this, Dr. Lauber was able to turn my previous prescriptions into a homemade Bunsen burner in his sink. Yes, my previous prescriptions both caught on fire, and I was in shock other doctors prescribed this gasoline masquerading as medicine to me. Dr. Lauber then prescribed the correct medications and my condition improved within days! My results were fantastic and so was Dr. Lauber’s follow up. He called me regularly to see how my condition was progressing with the new medication and it is very evident he truly cares about each of his patients. As someone who has worked in the medical field for a decade, there are not many doctors that genuinely care like Dr. Lauber. If you are tired of being written off by other doctors and you want to solve your skin conditions once and for all, I cannot recommend Dr. Lauber enough. His medical expertise is worth every penny and his humor comes for free!

Dr. Lauber has been my dermatologist for over 30 years...and over all those years he has become the dermatologist for all of my family and friends too. Going on accutane was my last result because I heard there are bad side effects.Dr. Lauber is one of THE BEST dermatologists I have been to. I have been on Accutane for the past 4 months and had ZERO major side effects (only dry lips). He teaches you about his process for administering the pill and what will happen to your skin while on it.If youre scared to go on Accutane dont worry!! After a quick dive into the google ocean of information, we happily stumbled upon Advanced Skin Treatment. Upon arriving at Dr. Laubers office we were greeted by his friendly receptionist, and within a few minutes we met with Dr. Lauber. He is the consummate professional in his industry, he is HONEST, friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and he does not mince words. Did I mention hes HONEST!!! The appointment was for my significant other, her being a pharmacist recognizes a professional colleague when she sees one, and as we spoke with Dr. Lauber he soon realized her troubled mole was nothing more than that, just a small non cancerous mole on her arm. He did not charge us for a consultation, he couldve, but he didnt...HONEST!! Its a rarity these days to find a doctor that truly cares, understands, and is looking out for the patients who walk through his door. If youre looking for an expert (35 years of experience) friendly, and HONEST dermatologist look no further, make your appointment and see for yourself!!!

I accompanied my wife to the appointment with Dr, Lauber recently. Well, Dr. Lauber is incredible. His bedside manner, his knowledge, his walking the patient through the procedure was outstanding. We were a first time visitor/patient, now we are a lifelong friend and client/patient of the good Doctor Lauber!

I visited Dr. Lauber after an eczema outbreak. I was seen same-day and had dramatic improvement within 12 hours. His prescription took me from “crisis” to maintenance within a day. He took the time to educate me and even my dad as he suffers from eczema as well. He also made recommendations to help my condition without medicine. Highly recommend

DR LAUBER mixed up some special medicine for me, since the pharmacy was soo ridiculous and was going to charge my dad like $275 for a very very small tube he made the medicines right in front of me, and told me to only treat one side to make sure that the medicine was working without side effects. The eyebrow healed up in a day and then i put the medicine on the other one today and it healed up in a couple of hours!

If only all doctors were like Dr. Lauber! Its safe to say that Ive had my fair share of dealing with doctors throughout the years. So, to come across Dr. Lauber who exudes kindness, caring heart, and one of a kind sense of humor is truly a blessing. I called early in the morning, and decided that I wasnt going to leave a voicemail and just try again later on the day. However, about 20 minutes later or so, I get a call and when I answered, it was the man of the hour himself, Dr. Lauber! Immediately, I knew I was speaking with not just a professional with years of experience, but I was also talking to a human being who doesnt want to gouge you for money. He collected some information about my skin issue and directed me from there. He is funny, kind, understanding, professional, and immensely knowledgeable. Also, a fun fact, he loves food, so if youre happy with him, do make sure to ask him for his favorite food/treats, hell appreciate it greatly. Dr Lauber is a great doctor who knows what he’s talking about. He was welcoming and made me feel comfortable at his office. The best part about him is that he cares! I had a bad eczema flair that lasted for 5 months, and it got to the point where the itching would disrupt my quality of life. I called in the morning, and Dr. Lauber wanted to see same day! After seeing him, his prescriptions and treatment cleared my problems in a matter of days. I don’t know any doctors who are so willing to want to help so quickly and give such fast results.I highly recommend seeing him, especially if you have a skin emergency like I did!

Mar 14, 2024Dr. Lauber couldnt take my case, but was very helpful over the phone on our initial call. He let me know that if he did take my case, it would probably cost me a lot more money than I wanted to spend. He gave me some great advice on the best way to move forward with finding the solution to my red nose problem, since I let him know there was no rhyme or reason for it. In the brief time we spoke, he was extremely helpful and you can tell hes being doing this a long time and knows his stuff.

Called Dr. Laubers office to ask if I could make an appointment regarding a skin problem, and Dr. Lauber himself answered the phone! I was very surprised as this never happens when you call a Dr.s office. He was very personable and hilarious! The guy really has a great personality, and was very straight to the point about my problem. Told me I had to see a plastic surgeon for my skin problem and referred me to his good friend Dr. Grazer. I was very thankful for him not wasting my time and for the great referral. I will definitely come to Dr. Lauber if I need any skin assessments in the future. Thank you Dr. Lauber!!!

Dr. Lauber is the absolute best!! He genuinely cares about all his patients and closely monitors throughout the process. He called me every single day when I started the Accutane to make sure I didnt have a poor reaction. He made sure to start me on the lowest dose then work my way up. Other doctors, like shown in the picture, will throw any crazy thing at you and hope it works out. Not Dr. Lauber! Dr. Lauber says that the topical things will not work and he was absolutely right! Also he does not take insurance!! He will workout a payment plan for you and I promise it is definitely worth it. My acne was from anxiety and he was the only Doctor out of the three I went to that was able to discover my acne stemmed from mental health. He truly is amazing! I am 1 year off Accutane now and still go in to visit him.

I never write reviews EVER but Dr.Lauber is absolutely amazing. He did an excellent Job removing my mole without any pain or discomfort.I felt extremely comfortable and at ease in his office. He has a wonderful attitude and sense of humor. This man really, really, cares for his patients. I was planning to get a procedure done and he was concerned about the methods they were planning to use. He went out of his way to speak with the nurse to make sure I was safe and in good hands. Who does that these days I would recommend him to family and friends without even thinking twice. This guy is incredible !!

Dr Lauber is the best dermatologist in the area. He’s a wealth of knowledge as he explained my procedure in normal language so I could understand what was going on. You can tell he loves what he does and he genuinely cares. Dr. Lauber is by far the most caring and knowledgeable Dermatologist in California. Weve visited many physicians and other skin specialists however after nearly a year they are still not able to offer much help Not only is my wife grateful to have his help today, but Im still personally grateful after all these years later (20+ years!! Dr. Lauber is great! I called to make an appointment because I have been having acne issues and I saw his reviews were great on Yelp. The office was closed that day so I just planned to call the office when they were back from vacation. But instead Dr. Lauber reached out himself as soon as he was back from vacation. He asked me to explain my situation and then he guided me to see a different specialist for my problem even though he said I was an easy case for him. He told me it would be best to see the other specialist for my health. I really appreciated his honesty. He was genuinely trying to help and he didnt charge me anything even though we technically had a consultation on the phone. He is very knowledgeable and funny person. Highly recommend!

If you’re nervous about getting something looked at or getting treatment done, don’t be. Dr. Lauber is experienced, knowledgeable, and is so caring. My anxiety level was at a 10 when I walked into his office, and when I walked out it was at a one. I thought I had skin cancer, and now I am so relieved to know that’s not the case at all. The best doctor Ive ever seen! I came in thinking I had dandruff or poison ivy on my scalp and face, he took one look at me and told me it was shingles. He got me medicine immediately. Im so lucky to have found him! He made me laugh and took away all my anxieties. Hes a doctor that truly cares and checked up on me regularly during my healing process. Without ever even have meeting Dr Lauber, I can personally testify to this mans care for his patients and to his practice.I jumped on a call with him about wanting to get a skin colored mole removed from my jawline, and after hearing about my need and a bit about me, he was honest enough to let me know I should be going to a plastic surgeon. Dr. Lauber is an impressive and experienced dermatologist. He is thorough, detailed and always has a solution. He isnt afraid to pull out a text book or explain the case to you if you would like more detailed perspective and ultimately, hes always been able to solve or help solve the many challenges Ive had over the 20+ years Ive been seeing him. Dr Lauber is awesome! He is like a good friend who you can count on. This was seriously the first time I ever spent quality time with a doctor. Dr Lauber has answers, tools and great knowledge. With a nice sense of humor.I called him over the phone to book an appointment and he was able to meet me and treat me the same day after a quick phone interview. I had been dealing with an increasing skin rash for the past 10 days and my anxiety level was through the roof since I couldnt find the reason of this rash. Prior to that, I had made several research on internet trying to find what was my condition just to find misleading information that was making me believe the worst possible scenario. Even the pharmacist was wrong by telling me I had a fungus with underlying health conditions and suggested me to take the wrong cream for the wrong skin condition. I couldnt wait to consult a real dermatologist.Dr Lauber reassured me with confidence by taking a look at my skin and told me right away what the situation was. He showed me pictures and and descriptive documents of Contact Dermatitis, the causes and effects.He prescribed me a steroid pill to take every day for 10 days and the right cream for the itch.I was still anxious like there was no tomorrow. Since Dr Lauber has an anxiety level of zero and mine was at 10, he didnt want me to leave his office until we meet halfway; until my anxiety level was at least down to 5. He told me that he could answer all my questions until Im honestly relax. He even made a bet with me that my skin would return to normal after 4 days and he was right! He is truly a sharpshooter!Dr Lauber takes cash patients. Arrive in his office with a positive attitude, a good sense of humor and some food to share. Youll have a good time.

I saw Dr Lauber last year. Then today I had a question and needed help. I’ve moved out of state but hoped he would give me some insight or direction. If need be I’d travel to CA for treatment or appt with him.When I called Dr Lauber, he answered my call and spent the time with me helping me understand. I had an appointment to see Dr. Lauber today for consult regarding a mass on the bridge of my nose where my loupes and glasses would sit. I was very impressed with Dr. Laubers ethics and professionalism. He examined my lump of concern and explained to me that I should be seen by a Plastic Surgeon because he doesnt want me to have a scar after the lump is removed even if he can help me with this issue. He then referred me to his colleague Plastic Surgeon. He took his time and thoroughly explained the treatment I may need. Dr. Lauber did not even charge me for the consultation! I just want to say that Dr. Lauber is has down the BEST at what he does! He treated my mom during Covid for rosacea and she hasnt had a problem since. That was a few years ago. Today we went to see him again for an irritable irritation on my moms body and he spent an incredible amount of time explaining what might be going on. Unfortunately it seems its something internal and not external, but he gave VERY good explanations on what to say to the internal doctor to help figure out what is going on. Dr. Lauber is simply the best and we are very grateful to have found him!!

My son (15 yrs old) and I, are so thankful to have found Dr. Lauber. Dr. Lauber is a great doctor! He’s very understanding and listens to your concerns which depending on the situation could be overwhelming. He takes the time with the patient to help them with their health issues and help them understand them! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for good dermatologist, he also know when hes not the best one for your current situation. Its very rare for a doctor to admit he may not be the best one for your current situation. Hes been in the game of medicine for a long time so believe me he know which doctors to recommend BY NAME. If he believes your situation would be better suited for them. Granted my situation was a probably one in a million, but he gave me the best recommendation for the doctor I need by name. Remember you get what you pay for trust me when I say this if you are able too never cheap out on your health. This was 100% worth the money.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Lauber. I spoke several times and texted him about my condition. During my visit, he spent a lot of time discussing my condition. He was honest and told me I needed to see an allergist to get to the root of my problem. Incredibly, he refused to be paid for this consultation. Hes the rare doctor whos there primarily to help patients and not earn a buck. Hes also got a great sense of humor and is accessible. If you have the need of a dermatologist, Id only see him.

I only trust Dr Lauber with my skin! He literally saved my life by finding skin cancer (melanoma) on my back. He removed it, sent it to a lab and called me on a Sunday to discuss the results. How many Doctors take time on their Sunday to call their patients? Dr Lauber genuinely cares about his patients and it shows. I’m cancer free and owe it to Dr Lauber. Every visit to his office is not only fun but he educates me on different skin related topics. He’s been treating my skin, my friends and family for over 30 years.

Called Dr. Lauber about a spot on my face and he could hear the concern in my voice so he told me to come in. He also informed me in the conversation that he doesnt take insurance. I got a little concerned thinking the out of pocket price would be high and every penny counts in economic times like these. When he heard the concern about paying out of pocket in my voice he then said come in today and well sort out the payment, IF there will be one SOLD! I was there. Dr. Lauber and I met and he very confidently told me I have nothing to worry about, it was a just a blemish and that I needed to stop agitating it lol. He and I spoke for a little while longer. Hes a very knowledgable and witty person. Then we parted ways. I would absolutely recommend meeting with him! Hes how Drs SHOULD be!

Dr Lauber answered my call, screening with careful questions about my condition, and then scheduled me for an appointment the next day. It was diagnosed as a wart on my lip, and he numbed the area and burned the wart off. Then he gave me instructions to take care of it for the next few days. He also checked my skin for any signs of skin cancer, and answered general questions I had about skin care. I appreciate the time he took to take care of my health and educate me. He also has been following up to make sure I take care of my lip so that the skin can heal properly. He is very friendly and does his best for the community and his patients. Thank you Dr Lauber!

My husband and I were so lucky to find Dr. Lauber a few years back! He had mysteriously developed extremely chapped and inflamed lips and after seeing other dismissive dermatologists he felt helpless. That was, until I luckily came across Dr. Laubers amazing yelp reviews. Dr. Launer was my husbands last hope, and he went above and beyond. I contacted Dr. Jeffrey Lauber via the online portal over the weekend and was surprised to hear back within hours as his office was closed then. He called me directly and took the time to ask me questions about my condition. By then, I couldn’t be more thrilled for my appointment. As I have NEVER had a dermatologist or any doctor in general call me, let alone outside of their working hours, to find out what I have going. He was able to fit me into his schedule the very next day! Great. The morning of my appointment, I checked in at the front, then was immediately greeted and brought to the exam room by him. What sets Dr. Jeffrey apart from other dermatologists is his honesty. He doesn’t try to sell unnecessary products and is very realistic as to what steps are needed to treat whatever skin condition you have going. Even after the treatment was done at his office, he called me directly from his cell phone to check in on me a week later and was willing to waive the follow-up consultation fee! Wow. This doctor genuinely cares and only has his best interests for his patients. Not to mention, his sense of humor put me at ease. Definitely earned a long-time customer with this gem!!

Came to see Dr Lauber today. What a great humble and hilarious doctor. This guys got the most awesome sense of humor. Gave me a free consultation today as I was looking to have a minor procedure done. He told me, Tom save your money you dont need to do this. I am not the kind of doctor to just see anyone and take their money!A lot of doctors, dentists and mechanics are not trustworthy. They are always looking to rip people off and make an extra buck. I took my 12 year old daughter to see Dr. Lauber for a mole on her scalp. She was extremely scared of the whole process but after meeting Dr. Lauber he put her at ease. He was patient, funny, took his time and even had us come back after an hour just so my daughter could be calm and ready. When we went back the same day, an hour later, she was much more ready to get her mole biopsied. Dr. Lauber made the whole process easy, quick, painless, and almost an enjoyable for her with his jokes and humorous personality. We received our biopsy result a day later and it was negative! As a nurse, Im very picky with choosing doctors. I chose Dr.Lauber based off his stellar reviews. I contacted him about a horrible rash on my 5 month old sons cheeks that wouldnt go away for 2 months! The rash was so bad, my son’s cheeks felt like leather. I was a little nervous to go on accutane because of all the stigma around it, but he made the long process painless. Dr. Lauber rules! At first youll be dubious of his stance on not taking health insurance. If you care about results, dont be. Dr. Laubers the best doctor Ive ever had. Hes a delight to listen to and hang with, and his healing skills are unparalleled. His stuff always works, and usually instantly. I went in for a sub-dermal sebaceous issue that had plagued me for years, and he mixed up a magic goop that had my skin perfectly smooth within 2 days. Hes a miracle worker, akin to Walter White if hed used his powers for good. He also spotted a skin cancer lesion on my right shoulder that would have gone unnoticed for months to come, if not longer, and burned it off in a matter of minutes.Youll want to see him more often just for his jocular stories and incisive Gilligans Island minutiae, but you likely wont need to for medical reasons. Cant recommend highly enough. Reliable, brilliant, cheap (when all is said and done). Youll never need or want another dermatologist after Dr. Lauber. Guaranteed.

I urge you to not be intimidated by the initial phone call; Dr. Lauber has to weed through countless flakes and people seeking to waste his time, so he gets right to the point. But I assure you, when you meet him in person and talk with him you will be surprised by how kind he is. His bedside manner is incredible. After seeing all the positive reviews for Advanced Skin Treatment Center, I called Dr Lauber to make an appointment about a possible skin cancer on my lip. Dr Lauber got me in immediately, and I mean IMMEDIATELY. Perhaps it was my slightly neurotic voicemail concerning my suspicious looking lesion. He called me back within minutes and said I could drive over to the Center “right now” to examine the suspicious spot on my lip.He was thorough and explained that the spot was Actinic Cheilitis (sailor’s lip) due to sun exposure. Two other dermatologists I had visited previously had treated this same suspicious precancerous spot by freezing it off my lip, which resulted in a small scar and loss of pigment. Even after the area was frozen and healed the spot reappeared.Dr Lauber spent the time to explain the best no-scar strategy to permanently removing the precancerous area. I’m on day one of the topical treatment. Thank you Dr Lauber for your expertise and great sense of humor! Along with being knowledgeable in his field Dr Lauber is also very funny.

Dr Lauber is probably one of the finest dermatologists in the nation highly accredited Board certified and was able to take the Pre-cancer skin off my shoulder he quite possibly could’ve saved my life. Also he helped out my father with his cancer problem on his face. And my business partner who had a lesion on his back.

Its been about 3 years now since Dr. Lauber treated the huge warts on my hands. Till today the have been completely cured. Before seeing Dr. Lauber, i tried it all. My PCP tried freezing them, over the counter creams, ACV...nothing worked for years and i was desperate. So glad I decided to go with Dr. Lauber outside of my insurance plan and dont regret paying out of pocket one bit...you get what you pay for. I had a dark mole on my right arm and got to the point that I started getting concerned. My boyfriend whos also a Dr., told me that I need to go to Dr. Lauber and thats the only Dr. I should go to .. the only one that he would trust. I was able to get on a call with him same day and after showing my concern, he was nice enough to ask me to come to his office next day which was a Sunday!!!He shaved the mole and sent the residuals to the lab next day. Hes so responsible and he personally called me to share the lab result. Below you can see the before and after and he did it in a matter of seconds. Dr. Lauber is excellent!!! I went to see him 27 years ago for a serious bump on my cheek. I was a model at the time and Dr. Lauber very carefully removed it. He spent so much time on it to make sure it was perfect. And guess what? NO SCAR!! I continued with my career and was always so grateful for his expertise and care. Fast forward to present day. I have a few things on my face due to age and sun exposure. I contacted Dr. Lauber once again. He is taking care of my sun spots and referred me to Dr. Vidor who will be taking care of an Ocular cyst. I highly recommend Dr. Lauber for any dermatology issues including cancer screening. Dr. Lauber is the man! Found him on Yelp and so glad I did. Doc gave me a quote for my first consultation over the phone and I agreed to it. When I arrived at his office I was presented with great vibes! Long story short, I was getting this rash checked out on my abdominal area and instead of him beating around the bush about his diagnosis on the rash he gave it to me straight. He didn’t recognize it, told me to continue using the steroid cream (the correct way) I had brought in for two weeks straight. If it doesn’t get better then we’ll move on to get a biopsy which is a bit extreme but he was transparent about that. Dr. Lauber didn’t end up taking my money which I greatly appreciated! However, I really found satisfaction in the fact that he was transparent with me, eager to solve this problem and overall just a genuine person! Really hate to say this but you can’t find many other like him!Dr. Lauber keep being you sir!

Dr. Lauber is the best!!! I woke up a few days before my wedding with a cyst. I had gone to Dr. Lauber a few years before for the same issue but was kicking myself for not keeping his info. I did a quick Yelp search for derms and when i saw the pictures i knew i had found him again! He made a same day appt for me, i came in and he helped tremendously, even giving his cell phone number! He gave me medication and the next morning i called him when the cyst came to a head. I was in his office within an hour and he truly saved the day, and my wedding! He is wonderful and so helpful, stop reading reviews and call him now!

Doctor Lauber’s straight forward no B.S. medical approach, in my opinion, is the best for results. Over quarantine my acne got progressively worse day by day. Countless dermatologist visits and several prescription creams and medications, and still my acne got worse. After looking for a second opinion I stumbled upon Dr. Lauber who immediately said I needed accutane. Going to Dr. Lauber’s office was incredibly pleasant as it wasn’t like other doctor offices waiting for your name to be called. Not only did he completely change my skin for the better, but gave me valuable advice on saving and investing your money to create financial freedom. DR. LAUBER SAVED MY LIFE!!!I came to him with a horrific skin rash that wouldn’t go away and was spreading FAST. He immediately sent me to get blood work to check that it wasn’t cancer or anything else serious. After the bloodwork came back all normal he called me at 9pm in the evening to let me know. What doctor calls a patient so late at night to let them know they are ok??? HE DOES!!! He said he was SO relieved the bloodwork was normal and that he had been SO worried about me. The second he found out I had started Lexipro for anxiety he IMMEDIATELY told me to stop taking the medication and that it was probably the cause for this horrible rash. He made me come back to the office every couple days to make sure the rash was subsiding. And it was: slowly. It took a couple months to clear up completely. If it wasn’t for Dr. Lauber instantly realizing it was Lexipro that was causing my terrifying allergic reaction I would have died. No question. My husband and I go to Dr. Lauber for all of our dermatology needs. He’s one of the greatest doctors in the world. Do not even think of seeing anyone else. He’s the best. Our family had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lauber. One of the absolute best things about this man and his character are his communication skills. He talks with you directly over the phone every time. No nurses or middle men..just you talking directly to the doctor. I went in to see him with my husband and two kids and he examined all of us, even though I was the only one with the appointment and didnt charge extra for the others. My 5 year old daughter ended up having a biopsy on an abnormal mole. I have to say that he was really great with her. He even called me the next day and several days later to check up on her to see how she was doing (as well as how I was doing since I was obviously concerned about her). He went above and beyond the call of duty keeping me informed throughout the whole process. Dr. Lauber answered all of my questions and is definitely the best in his field. I highly highly recommend!!!

What can I say, I am really thankful to have found it. I had a problem with two warts and in my insurance they used a method that leaves a mark and is painful and annoying, but cheap. And in other much more expensive places they use laser that they tell you that if it comes back they will take it off (they dont guarantee anything).So I looked for a method that I already knew some time ago which is electrosurgery and I found the doctor.THE CHIEF without a doubt made us feel very comfortable before, during and after the surgery. No pain, no bleeding. Best of all he speaks Spanish and with very reasonable prices.SIn just 10 minutes I was happy and relieved with no discomfort from wart removal.If you are looking for a GOOD dermatologist do not hesitate to go!Thank you very much doctor. I called the office today to schedule an appointment for a friend who is visiting from abroad and is suffering from psoriasis.Although I was unable to get an appointment, Dr. Lauber spent time with me discussing types of psoriasis and recommended other doctors to call.he seemed genuinely concerned and even followed up with a text message explaining various treatments and doctors to seek.Thank you Dr. Lauber!

There are good Drs, great Drs, the best Drs then Dr Lauber. I have been seeing him since before I was a teenager and am in forties now. He has cured myself and my family of ailments ranging from eczema to skin cancers and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. (Spotted a skin cancer in my wife’s hairline that had been missed by other Drs and probably saved her life). He answers his own phones, follows up after diagnoses on Saturday’s and Sunday’s and almost never makes you wait in waiting room. He has great stories and even better treatment programs. He has the ability to think outside of the box with treatments that actually work the first time instead of following an algorithm that would waste several trips and months of failed attempts. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr Lauber the first time, you won’t regret it.

After a week of battling an itchy skin rash using a combination of creams, powders, and pills from the drug store I finally called Dr. Lauber. He immediately pointed out that I had misdiagnosed my condition (thanks to Google), educated me on the dangers of self-diagnosis, and gave me the right medicine for the job right there in his office. By the end of the day my rash was gone! Dr. Lauber is passionate about treating and educating his patients - I was able to see him same day and had zero wait time.

Dr. Lauber is one of the kindest and friendliest dermatologist I’ve ever met. I was in a bad place mentally and physically. Everytime we spoke he always gave me words of wisdom and encouragement. Also, called him for helpful advise is different arenas of my life. An all around LIFESAVER. Not only did he help me with my skin needs, I was also stranded at the beach recently. Really not thinking that morning left my wallet at the house in Corona, CA. 30 miles from where I live. He was the only person I knew in the area. I called knowing he’s a busy man and I’ll bother him during working hours. But, I called and yet again he came through taking time out of his day to help and let me borrow gas money. I tried to self diagnose and treat with product but the problem only got worse. Finally it started to affect my eyes. They were itchy, red, and swollen. The dry skin had gotten so bad. I tried to change my laundry detergent, skin care, etc. Nothing worked and I knew it was time to find a dermatologist. My husband did the research and found Dr Lauber. He appreciated his blunt nature on the website and his mission statement thinking, this guy sounds like he knows what he’s doing. We called and left a message on a Sunday. Dr Lauber got back to us that same day! On a Sunday! He squeezed me in for a consultation first thing the next day. Within minutes of looking at me he knew what I had and said it was most likely the dryer sheets! (Why didn’t I think of that?!) He prescribed by a gel cream for my eyes, but gave me an oral medication that he had in office (saving me money from another prescription), and gave me multiple sample sized bottles of the cream he wanted me to use on my face and a gentle facial bar. He never tried to sell me any expensive product! He asked that I stop by the following couple of days just so he could take a quick look and make sure I was getting better. The next morning on my way in he called to see how I was doing. He really cares! Within 24 hours I felt and looked so much better. Within 48 hours I was a completely new person! He also checked out my freckles and moles to make sure there was no sign of cancer and instructed my husband on the warning signs to be on the lookout for. I am so glad we found Dr Lauber. Not only is he a great doctor, but he’s a new friend.

I noticed some tiny bumps that I thought I should get checked out. I initially went to Dr. Arani in L.A. he was unable to properly diagnose my problem, saying it could be anything from a rash to HPV. Even though he did not have a proper diagnosis, he wanted to proceed with treating the area, at a cost of several thousand. I was uncomfortable with his uncertainty so I decided to look for help elsewhere. I was able to find Dr. Lauber, a state certified dermatologist. I called, left a message and to my surprise, he himself returned my call. He was very blunt about what he needed from me and how the process would go. The visit was the best Ive ever had with a doctor. His office was very private, I was the only patient there. He is very welcoming, hilarious and treats you not only as a patient but as a friend. Dr. Lauber checked me out and was able to diagnose my problem as a harmless, non-contagious skin condition which is nothing more than a cosmetic issue at worst. He said, any dermatologists would be able to diagnose me from football field away. I went in there feeling defeated, depressed, anxious and uncertain of my future but came out feeling like confident, content, happy and best of all, normal. Dr. Lauber AKA El Jefe.... is bar none the best dermatologist in the business, and is absolutely hilarious. Ive never had a Doctor make me laugh as much, and have never had a doctor call me to check in on me, answer his cell phone on the weekends, and makes themselves readily available whenever i need to see them. Been to many dermatologists and will never go to another after meeting Dr. Lauber. Oh and he is fluent in Spanish just in case that matters to you.

I have been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Lauber for over 5 years. Dr. Laubner always takes the time to thoroughly discuss his diagnosis and treatment options. He is very comprehensive but not in an alarming way. I admire and appreciate his down to earth, common sense approach to practicing medicine. Dr. Laubner is one of the rare very competent physicians who spend as much time interacting with the patient as he does treating the disease. Before i write this review, I just want to point out that this is my first time ever writing a yelp review because I feel like this one is much needed.All the other 5 stars reviews you guys see on here stay true to their words about the best doc in OC. I want to inform you guys that this is my first and only dermatologist doc i would go to now. I was nervous at first calling about the doc regarding my skin issue but over the phone he made it less concerning and very easy to talk too with his jokes. He made sure to set up an appointment with me asap regarding my skin issue after the call which was a relief because who would want to wait that long??? Following the day of my appointment he knew exactly what i had right off the bat after taking a look at my face and gave me medication which he made right in front of me(cool right). He told me I will be good in a few days and he was not lying its only been a day and my skin is starting to clear up which made me feel confident about myself!!Summary: If you have any skin related issues or concern I would fully trust this doc he knows what he is doing and wont waste your time like other doc. Just have confidence and give him a call!! He always have a positive attitude and funny which makes you feel less nervous over the phone and at his office. I will say it again best doc in OC.

I called Dr Lauber after seeing other dermatologists who wanted to biopsy my arm and run an insane amount of testing. I was in search of a third opinion before permanently scarring myself. When I called he took the time to get as much background information on my condition, symptoms, etc and made himself available to see me that same day! I went to see him and brought along ALL the different soaps, lotions and makeup I use and he reviewed all of it and gave me a lesson on how some of these things effect my skin. He also compounded some ointment for me to place on my arms and asked me to follow up with him on how I am doing. Well, a few days later he was the one who called me to check on my progress. He is very thorough and attentive and has advised other family members on skin conditions as well. Sadly he no longer takes insurance but I will still seek him out if another issue comes up as I fully trust his diagnosis and treatment approach.

Rarely do you find such a gem!! Jeffrey is compassionate and honest with a great sense of humor. I wasn’t even his patient yet and he called me personally to address my needs. An amazing doctor!

TLDR: There is no better doctor for anything dermatology related in orange county period.Ive seen Dr. Lauber twice in 3 years. in 2018 I found him via yelp and I was hesitant to come in because some reviews said he was expensive and others said he was rude. I gave him a call anyway and my first impression was, wow this guy is kind of cocky and...particular(?). I still wasnt completely sure but the thing that drew me back was after reflecting on our conversation later, it occurred to me that there were things he said which made sense for someone who has been doing this for 30+ years. There were plenty of reviews that said he basically worked miracles so I figured it was time to make an appointment.Upon meeting him I felt much more at home. Hes very clear (but not rude) with instructions, he asks all the right questions, and hes extremely thorough and legitimately cares about his patients well-being. Doctors who make you feel like this dont make that happen with words, its actions with little things you dont realize you notice. Like taking the time to examine you for skin cancer even if thats not what youre there for. Or sending you home with some random goodies around the office like candies, creams or laundry detergent samples that he somehow has cases of. 3 years ago I saw him and I should have left a review much sooner because he does exactly what he promises.After my visit I realized that Dr. Lauber isnt rude, hes just cocky/funny and unapologetically straight forward with you.To put it simply: He doesnt promise, he just delivers. Hes also extremely good at what he does so hes not afraid to charge for it. I was actually afraid my visit would be expensive but it was more than reasonable. The free options in the past only screwed me over and prolonged the problem. Take my word for it: the sooner you see him, the better.I would/will send any one of my family members or closest friends here. You give this guy a chance and Im 100% positive that even if you dont like his jokes, or his sometimes dry as a desert humor, or his straight forwardness - you will get exactly what you came for and you will be SATISFIED.

I took my daughter to Dr.Lauber for a skin condition on her face six years ago. We had already been to three dermatologist and multiple topicals and antibiotics. I first started seeing Dr. Lauber for acne while living in Newport Beach back in the early 90s (thats a LONG time ago). He is upfront, honest, wont sell you on promises and creams that just dont work and he wont prolong or recommend a treatment regime that will waste your time and/or money. He is the only dermatologist I totally TRUST. I now send my twins to him for the same acne issues I once had. All I can say is Thank Goodness he is still in local practice!!! He is the only dermatologist I would trust to properly and effectively treat my own children without a doubt. And yes...back in the day I too used to bring him sandwiches on my follow up visits....but hold the mayo, right Dr. Lauber? Seriously great and honest doctor. Highly Highly recommended.

First of all, Don’t use other people medicine. It will do more harm than good. I learned the lesson. Second, Dr. Lauber is a very good and genuine doctor. What a relief to find such a wonderful doctor who specializes in dermatology! As someone who received a wrong diagnosis of having ringworm, I was beyond relieved when Dr. Lauber explained to me that although the skin condition I had mimicked ringworm in its early stages, it truly was NOT ringworm. My life has been a nightmare trying to get rid of a skin condition that I thought was contagious ringworm. From washing my sheets and towels everyday to staying away from my beloved pet and friends, I could not be happier to hear that my primary care physician, after 2 visits, 2 topical creams, and 1 oral medication later, was flat out wrong. Dr. Lauber is the ABSOLUTE BEST! If you are in need of an honest, straight-forward dermatologist, visit Advanced Skin Treatment Center Of Orange County. I developed a bump on my back that would not stop bleeding. I thought it was a pyogenic granuloma (which it was) and he was able to treat me immediately. Initially I was going to receive treatment from my HMO, but going to Dr. Lauber was the better choice. He took his time and answered all of my questions, even ones not related to my pyogenic granuloma. The treatment itself took a few seconds and was painless. This doctor is knowledgeable and exudes amazing energy - this is what every doctor-patient experience should be like. Thank you Dr. Lauber for helping me and my once bleeding bump.

Dr. Lauber is the only man to see. He is the most honest, knowledgeable, and personable doctor I have ever been to. I was shocked the very first time I called when he actually answered the phone and proceeded to talk with me for a long time about Accutane. My daughter is beginning her accutane treatment and we are very excited thanks to Dr. Lauber. Usually when I visit any kind of doctor I feel unimportant, frustrated, rushed, and then forgotten. I have known Dr. Lauber and been his patient for nearly THIRTY years. I found him in a magazine article (not an ad - he was the expert they were quoting), and I was so impressed with his advice and work that I made a trip to Newport Beach from Los Angeles to meet with him because NOTHING was working for my cystic acne.He was friendly, engaging, spent the time it took to treat me, soooooo knowledgeable and made me feel like I could really trust him because of his research, training and experience. He told me what needed to be done for MY skin which made me know he wasnt taking some cookie-cutter approach to the treatment I NEEDED for MY skin. I have recommended many, many friends and colleagues to him (and still do) and sure enough, they each received a specific treatment for THEIR issue. I cannot emphasize enough how refreshing it is to meet a doctor who really examines what the best course of action is and not a factory assembly line approach to skin care because hey, were all different!As the years went by, I would check in for other issues like moles, scars or should I dare say it? AGING! He always gave me the solution to my issue which wasnt always some expensive treatment or any advantage to him other than to have my skin look great and people ask me who my derma guy was! For example, I was having some outbreaks and he recommended I dilute my moisturizer because it was too rich for my skin. Now what does he gain from that advice? Dr. Lauber is amazing! He knows his stuff, truly a man apart from other dermatologists in Newport Beach! I went in with a bad acne problem that was causing rashes along my back. We went to several dermatologist for acne for my son and spent months and years on different treatments. They kept putting him on antibiotics and ointments and creams that did more harm then good. We were lucky to have a family member who worked in the pharmaceutical business and who worked with Doctors first hand recommend Dr. Lauber. Dr. Lauber cleared up my sons face with the first and only course of treatment and Dr. Lauber has kept my sons face acne free over the years. DR LAUBER is great !! he didnt even charge me -- since i didnt need to have anyting done-- I called another office and they scared me into thinking that i needed a biopsy-- and they didnt even examine me !!!

I have been going to Dr. Jeffery Lauber for over 21 years. He has diagnosed and treated a variety of different skin issues and solved the problems with his own unique style, humor and bedside manor. When my teenage children had acne he did not treat them with all of the creams, lotions and laser regimens that most doctors waste your time and money with. He put them on a low dose of accutane that cleared up the problem fast with no side effects! My children usually complain and HATE to go to doctors, but they LOVE to go see Dr. Lauber because he cleared their skin, is honest with them, talks to them directly and expects them to work hard in school and succeed. He has high expectations of them and they think he is hilarious!!! My only fear is that he will retire before I have grandchildren.

Best doctor i have personally ever been to! Diagnosed my problem right away and gave me the cream and medicine, even made his own cream and mixed it in front of me, never seen any doctor do that! I recommend him to anybody that has any skin issues dont waist your time going to any other dermatologist, Dr Luaber is a great guy and he knows his stuff,he even called me to see how i was doing and checked up with me all the way up till my skin was back to normal!

You have nothing to lose and if youre like me, itll be one of the best calls to a doctor that youll ever make.--Found Dr. Lauber from a Yelp search and figured that I had nothing to lose by calling. He personally picked up the phone, asked what I wanted to come in for, and told me exactly what he could offer immediately, no time wasted. No sales pitch, no attempt at trying to sell any products, just straight to the treatment. Bring him food, hell love you. Seriously. Pro tip. (Psssst, bring him pho, hell love you even more.)Hes very honest--perhaps too honest to the point where some other reviewers got offended, but take his humor for what it is and youll see that he truly cares about his patients. He isnt just picking on you. Not until he knows you well, at least, then its fair game. To be fair, I jab back with my own fair share of comments too. ;)Ive been to countless of other doctors. Some take one glance at you and immediately turn their back on you. Some try to sell you products that you obviously know that they either 1) are paid to promote the product or 2) have a role in producing said products. Some stare at you for a long moment, then proceed to ramble on about possible treatments, despite the fact that youre trying to tell them that yes youve heard this before and no they didnt work last time and no youre convinced that they still wont work this time. Dr. Lauber doesnt do any of that. He takes his time with each any every patient and only gives you treatment that you need. He also has a tub (its really that big) of free samples and a couple of jars of candy that I may or may not have dug through.He works on Sundays. What dermatologist do you know works on Sunday? If you have a busy schedule or if you have kids that just cant come in on weekdays because of school, hell work with you to accommodate your schedule, whether it requires him to come in early, stay late, or come in on a Sunday. He does take Fridays off though, so do keep that in mind.If this wall of text still doesnt convince you, he also offers life advice and has life stories to back up said advice. Ask him. Hell give you more advice than youll know how to handle. ;)Do it. Make that call or email. That limbo of searching for a suitable dermatologist wont make your problem any better. Dr. Lauber will. Or at the very least, hell know exactly who can make that problem better. Do it. Tell him that youll bring in pho and hell be thrilled. Just keep that promise or else hell forever remind you about it.

I had serious eczema on my face and visited 2 dermatologists but they couldnt treat it. Then I saw Dr. Lauber and he was the only one who knew what was going on on my skin and treated it comletely! Now my skin issue is gone, and Im about to take my 3yr old to him. Her eczema is becoming serious but I know Im in a good hand :)Highly recommended!

For about 2-3 years I thought I had fungal infection on my the top of my foot and had treated it as such and it kept getting worse. The second I walked into Dr Laubers office he told me I had an allergic reaction not a fungus. My foot looks fully healed in about 3 days.

If you are a male in Orange County and have warts caused by HPV, do not waste a single moment going anywhere else. THIS IS YOUR ANSWER. Do not go to these bs clinics or as seen on TV places that will charge you thousands and thousands of dollars and give you minimal results. Dr. Lauber will remove those warts and work with you going forward should any return in the future. I wasted two years trying to treat my HPV through my primary care physician and other treatment centers, none of which provided any results. Do not use podophyllin or any at home remedies, they will not work (and may make things worse!). Call Dr. Lauber now, I am very happy that I did.

I havent had the pleasure of being examined by Dr. Lauber, but I cant say that I am interested. Upon calling his office on a Friday and getting an answering machine, I decided to find an office that I could make an appointment with; you know-you snooze- you lose. Dr. Lauber called me back after retrieving his caller I.D. and I told him I had made an appointment with another Dr. who was available. Upon hearing that the Dr. that I had made an appointment with is Chinese- he told me, ...good luck. Youll be seeing me soon enough. He then asked me what my problem was and after he found out that it wasnt a surgical procedure he told me he didnt do anything non surgical. I dont take care of that...Learn to speak chinese. What a dick! Like my money isnt good enough.

I was dealing with a thing for about two months, googling, panicking, wasnt gettin any better. I finally decided to search for a dermatologist and found dr.Lauber who literally cured it overnight. Super knowledgeable and re shows he cares about his patients! Highly recommend!

One day I had a small scab in my ear which I had picked and didnt realize it it became very infected Oh, I thought it was a bug bite its swelled up the side of my face, I called dr. Lauber he said he doesnt do bug bites but go get it looked at right away oh, thank God he did they put me on heavy antibiotics and because of his its save me a couple of nights in the hospital. He knows his stuff 😀😀😀

I did not get the chance to visit this doctor but he did return my call on a weekend which is definitely rare and he referred me to a facility that could help me with my issue. Seems like a thoughtful doctor.

This guy is the real deal, period! Not only is he one of the most genuine doctors Ive met, he truly cares and better yet know exactly what hes doing it.And he came in on a sunday to see me. Try finding another doctor who will do that. You wont. Ive been to many doctors before him and they only made matters worse. Dont follow the same path. Go to him directly, it will be the best thing you can do!

So back in late 2011 I noticed a small bump growing at the top portion of the base of my master junk stuff. At first i thought it was a bug bite, then it started growing. Then it started looking like genital warts, i was scared, and was ashamed of it. i didnt have sex, and i felt dirty, ugly and just different. so early 2013 i came across dr laubers website. i was skeptical, honestly..i was. and when i called, the way he talks to you is as if hes some guy in the streets, no wait..better yet..hes like your uncle. haha his personality is just real, down to earth. HE WILL GIVE IT YOU STRAIGHT.now, it took me months to get the courage to go see him. yes he was pricey..but we will go back to that. He finished the procedure, the only part that hurt was the needle to numb the area. but DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THAT. do not be afraid of a needle that can change your life. basically, all said and done, it was healed in a month. now its like it was never there. i felt like a new man. HE WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. go to him. dont cheat yourself by going anywhere else. BECAUSE OF HIM, I NOW FEEL NORMAL. HE TOOK ALL THAT DIRTINESS AWAY, PUT IT IN A VILE AND POOF GONE.He brought the confidence back. he brought ME back. i have sex now :) but now, im even more protective of my family jewels because i have a second chance.i know this is a long review. and i know i sound like a dang sales pitcher. but im not, just an average 28 yr old guy who had sex with the wrong girl.go to him, get fixed and be happy, live your life again!

Just contacted this office and was greeted by the most rude, ignorant doctor I have ever spoken to. He continued to talk over me, then proceeded to tell me they only take credit cards and very few insurance. Was very sarcastic. Avoid this office if possible.

This is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. Never had the chance to meet him, and Im glad I did not. He kept speaking over me on the phone.

I went to see Dr. Lauber yesterday 10/01/2024 to have a little spot on my forehead checked out. I was hoping it was nothing but he told me to go get it biopsied and gave me a few referrals. Because no procedures took place, I did not get charged anything. I couldnt believe it. I was so grateful Please know that he does not accept any insurance -fell free to ask him about it, he was very honest about why. Dr. Lauber did however take time to make me feel at ease and explained that he actually rarely sees things that cannot be taken care of. But better safe than sorry right? Because the spot is on my face, Dr. Lauber told me I would get much better results going to a plastic surgeon. I so appreciated his concern that I might have a mark on my face and would have much better results seeing a plastic surgeon. I will go to a plastic surgeon for what I have going on now but I will definitely come back to Dr. Lauber if I (god forbid) have anything else going on. I trust his assessment and clearly he is not out to make a quick buck. He spent a fair amount of time with me answering my questions and giving good advice. I must also mention that he is super funny and very high energy. I called on a Monday and was seen the very next day. I ha a very short wait until I was seen..
