I visited Dr. Catherine to address my lower back pain. At the start of the appointment when I walked in, I almost was unable to extend my back fully without pain. One hour later at the end I was amazed with the result, because I was completely relieved and was able to move freely. Second time I came back for the shoulder and saw the immediate effect and relief as well.Dr. Catherine is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She is able to precisely identify the issue and apply her expertise to target it. Besides that, her energy is very calm, soothing and nurturing. It feels like she works on a number of different levels, including physical, emotional and energetical, which allows to see tangible result.Her place is clean, light and cozy.I highly recommend Dr. Catherine to anyone looking to address a specific issue or just to take their self care on a deeper level.

My experience with Catherine Price has been life changing. Before I started seeing her for acupuncture, I couldnt walk without tremendous pain in my feet. That pain began to affect my knees and hips and back, as well. I first visited a foot doctor who gave me a shot of cortizone in my foot. Voila! The pain was gone....for 5 months. Then, the pain returned along with a weird sensation at the injection sight. A friend recommended Catherine to me. Today, Im free from that foot pain. I recommend Catherine Price to all my friends and most certainly recommend her to anyone seeking an alternative to pharmaceuticals.

I just left Dr Catherine’s new studio in Newport and I had to write a review immediately. I have a lymphoedema on my right leg and always need to have drainage before I take a plane which I will do in a couple of days. I had seen Dr. Catherine before a trip in the past and the results were truly incredible. Today though, my back was also locked, probably work/stress related (and like this for the last 4 days, getting worst and worst as the week went by). I had trouble getting out of bed that morning, almost crawling and could walk very slowly with constant pain in my lower right back. Upon entering the beautiful space, at the end of a pretty alley, in the middle of bustling Newport but totally remote and private, one is immediately transported to a better mental space, surrounded by patterns, fabric, paintings, soft colors of blues and pale yellows and gracious proportions everywhere. We started with a 40 minutes acupuncture session to ease my back and very soon, my breathing was controlled, my mind clearing up and finally, I felt the constant pain from my back leaving little by little. After 4 days of acute pain, I could hardly feel where it was. Dr Catherine then worked on my lymphoedema. I have been diagnosed 30+ years ago, my dad and sister also diagnosed with it. My ankle is constantly swollen, my leg heavy and the ankle bone totally gone under the swelling. After 1.5 hours of treatment, my emotional disposition lightened and I could feel the fluids floating around my body. Dr Catherine’s lotion, felling so soft and smelling so good allowing me to feel calmer and more open. After our session, I could walk again, with only a faint memory of my back pain. I also could see more definition on my ankle, the bone reappearing and the swelling almost gone. Not only did the lymphatic draining resolved physical issues, it also helped lightened my emotional disposition. As I was walking out the studio, the sun felt brighter, my breathing deeper and my mind clearer. Total recentering and rejuvenation.

I have had three heavenly sessions with Dr. Catherine where she did both facial acupuncture and lymphatic drainage. Each time I spent with her was deeply peaceful and nourishing. I have been seeing Catherine for 4 months, I am a first time acupuncture patient and did not know what to expect when I started working with her. I am currently 9 months pregnant and began seeing Catherine for pain in my leg due to varicose veins caused by the pregnancy. Because I am pregnant there were not many options for me that my OBGYN could refer me to besides stopping work and waiting until after the baby was born to address any further issues. I was referred to Cat by my RE for infertility after several losses trying to conceive. I have never been or even considered acupuncture as a type of treatment. I began to go to Catherine during my third trimester, after having moved away from my old acupuncturist. I was nervous, switching to a new acupuncturist in the middle of my pregnancy, but Catherine immediately impressed me with her thoroughness, her compassion, and her gentle care. When it was time for me to begin my infertility treatments I was shocked to learn that I was already pregnant! I continued to see Cat throughout my pregnancy. She continued to treat my anxiety and insomnia as well as morning sickness and lower back pain. Cat is warm, caring, sincere and treats the whole person. I have referred some of my friends to her, the highest compliment I can give is word of mouth!

What a great experience! I went to see Dr. Catherine Price for Postpartum Anxiety and Depression and have to say that already my first visit made all the difference! I started to feel a lot more calm and relaxed almost immediately, so I highly recommend her and would go back there any time!

Having trained in western medicine, I was skeptical to say the least when I first walked into the office of Dr. Price. I needed help though and so I was willing to try anything that could possibly afford some relief. That day was about a year ago.I now find myself comfortably coming to her office on a regular basis for multiple reasons and a myriad of conditions that have branched out. I still find acupuncture difficult to reconcile with the contemporary medicine that I know. I still dont understand how it works. I just know from experience that it does.Im not writing this to give my opinion on acupuncture, however. This review is about Dr. Price as a practitioner of the healing arts. I dont have the words to adequately describe whats shes like. Words like knowledgable, skilled, professional, forthright, attentive, empathetic, respectful, humane, gentle, personal and authentic come to mind. Yes, shes all that but also so much more. Perhaps the most visceral compliment I can give though is this; I am a doctor and Im truly grateful and at ease to be a patient under her care.

The bar has been set! Acupuncture,Chinese Medicine, and Dr. Catherine Price came to me at a very difficult time in my life. I was suffering from a re-accuring back injury due to a car accident with a drunk driver in my early twenties. Little did I know this was only the begining. Soon after my first few treatments I learned the benefits of acupuncture and its many uses. My body responded instantly to each treatment. In time we managed to address other important issues that troubled me physically (Knee and shoulder issues ect.) and emotionally (anxiety/stress/exhaustion). In my four years working with Catherine I learned an abundance about the body, healing and professionalism. Her skill set and bedside manner are second to none.Thank you Catherine!

I had never sought acupunture treatment before.  Not because I dismissed the idea out-of-hand, but because I have never experienced the kind of chronic pain that had me in agony for weeks before entering Catherine Prices office just a couple of weeks ago.  The diagnosis is now known to me: arthritis in my cervical vertibrae.  The passageways of the nerves coming out of the neck get constricted and the pain is excruciating.  At the time of my treatment at Dr. Prices, I was still a few days away from getting a diagnosis from my primary care doctor.  I hadnt had a full nights sleep in over a week.  The pain and numbness that was radiating down my right arm and face were making it difficult for me to do my job or even concentrate on the most basic duties.  My friends at work recommended that I try acupuncture.  I was at the point where I was willing to try anything.  After leaving messages pleading my case to four acupunturists in my area, Dr. Price was the only one who returned my call.  She immediately made me feel like she genuinely cared about helping me get back to a normal life.  On the day of the appointment, she invited me into her treatment room exactly on time.  The room was tastefully decorated in a calm, pleasing decor.  I could smell a very soothing aroma in the air (not perfumy).  She first sat me down and asked some profile questions about my pain, medical history, lifestyle, etc.  The treatment consisted of a soothing massage followed by the acutpuncture treatment.  I got up from the table already noticeably in much less pain than when I arrived! As the following days passed, following her suggestions and directions, the pain has gone from a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10 to a 2 or less and I have stopped needing pain medication to get through the day!  I have not yet even started the Physical Therapy prescribed by my primary care physician.  A couple of more things:  1.) I consider my self to be a typical guy.  If youre a man, dont be intimidated by Dr. Prices specialty of helping women with post partum or conception issues.  At no time did I ever feel out of place or did my treatment make me feel like it was being modified to fit a males needs.  2.) The actual insertion of the acupuncture needles is totally painless.  As a matter of fact, I could hardly feel them at all.  Despite a moderate amount of skepticism on my part, this was one of the most effective and pleasant health care experiences I have ever had!  I will definitely seek Dr. Prices services again in the future and recommend her to my friends and loved ones.

I was in need of great relief during a particular difficult time in my life. Cat Price went out of her way to see me immediately, listening to my concerns, diagnosing my condition and setting about administering relief and a plan going forward. I cannot say enough about her ability to not just treat but see the bigger picture to my total wellness.

I was having limited success treating a herniated disc and the asociated chronic low back pain/sciatica after 2+ years of physical therapy and surgery. Dr. Price helped me tremendously, improving the quality of my sleep and the ability to exercise consistently again. For me, she combined primarily acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha to deliver results. She is a very warm professional and Id highly recommend her for anyone looking for help with chronic pain/orthopedic issues.

Dr. Price is amazing!! She provided a very relaxing atmosphere for my appointment. She is confident, skilled and nurturing. I left on feeling like I was walking on clouds. Looking forward to my next appointment. I cant wait!
