Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart OB-GYN - Bluewater Bay

It was so wonderful meeting Alex and her team. Everyone one in the whole Niceville office is sweet and professional. They work to make you feel at ease, comfortable and self assured which is important at any age even when you’re a mid 60’s lady like me. I love her and her staff! I know I have found a new “home” for my gynecology needs.

Easy check in. Clean facility. Staff was amazing. Leah and Laurie in pre-op were very sweet and made me feel like I was visiting with friends instead of getting ready for surgery. They we so helpful to each other, it was lovely to see that kind of teamwork. I can’t remember the name of my surgical nurse but she was super friendly and had a positive upbeat energy that really put me at ease. Recovery nurse Adam is a GEM. I felt like a mess and a half when I came out of the anesthesia and he was so compassionate and caring, just as kind and accommodating as could be. Keep him at all costs!!My husband appreciated the food court being convenient and so close to the surgical waiting area, too.Great experience all around.

I waited for a few months to lock down an GYN. Alex Marshall was worth the wait! She has a great personality and is a very thorough doctor. She ended up referring me to a specialist when some bloodwork was elevated. She is great at explaining options as well as pros/cons of those treatments, drugs, procedures. She speaks to you at your level of knowledge. Working for years in healthcare I don’t have to have things overly explained and she isn’t intimidated by your own knowledge whereas other doctors may be offended by your side of a discussion. I feel very lucky to have her as my GYN.

If you are military and recently moving due to orders or new to the area and needing a new ob/gyn anytime after 12 weeks run far away from this place. We are new to the area and our currently ob/gyn we have had since getting here from Fort Sill, OK has been amazing but they are being bought out by another group as of 12/15 and all patients have been told to either find another ob or stick with them if they take your insurance which was highly stressful already considering how amazing their team has been and being almost 7 months pregnant. The doctor in this practice refused to take me because I am after 12 weeks no matter the circumstances and told me as a high risk patient who was referred to them by Dr Hannah, to drive an hour and a half away to Pensacola for my appointments near the end of my pregnancy. Being military and have had 3 children already and moving mid pregnancy due to orders or change of insurance. I have never dealt with a doctors office denying prenatal care for certain circumstances such as the one described. Nothing but added stress.

Dr. Sledge managed my high risk pregnancy and ultimately delivered my son via emergency c-section. He did a terrific job carefully monitoring us and had neonatologist present in the OR during delivery in case of complications. As a mother I will always appreciate the steps he took to safeguard my son’s wellbeing.

Alex is personable, professional, a good listener, and knowledgeable. A registered nurse in training to become a PA was in attendance the day I had my exam. She too was professional and attentive.Very good experience with two extremely capable young professional women.

Alex Marshal took the time to listen to my needs, and concerns so, together, we can develop the best plan of care for me. She made me feel comfortable and answered any questions I had. Truly the best and very professional!!!

Got a referral to be seen here for my pregnancy & was told the doctor has to approve me to be a patient.Turned in the necessary paperwork the same day and over 2.5 weeks later was approved but already found a different doctor. According to the receptionist was music to her ears. If you have time & patience sure go here.

Me and my daughter loved it. Dr. ALEX was such a good listener to our concerns and made my daughter feel very comfortable since she was already scared of going. Staff was very friendly too.

Very welcoming. No long wait at all. Rachel was very friendly and easy to talk to. She made me very comfortable during my pap.

Rachel Marshall APRN was a very kind, attentive, and competent provider. The office staff were also very pleasant & the wait was super short. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a women’s health provider where they take the time to ask questions AND listen to your answers to make appropriate recommendations.

Great experience with the doctor visit, again. Appointment was right on time and the doctor very attentive and thorough.The one complaint I have is the length of the patient check in. It takes forever!

This OBGYN office has been very difficult to get in contact with along with not being able to provide me with my medical records in a timely manner. I have filled out two medical release record forms and still have not had them sent to the OBGYN office I have been asking them to be sent too for four weeks now. When trying to call the office to see what is taking so long I am unable to reach the office even after calling over and over for hours at a time. I then contacted sacred heart OBGYN in Mirmar beach and was told i was unable to obtain my medical records if I payed for them and requested them they would still be sent out to the medical record office with no time limit being given on how long I would have to wait to receive them. Over all I would not recommend the sacred heart OBGYN offices to any one that is looking for high quality care and treatment and adequate communication.

First time at this office. I encountered smiles, respect, knowledgeable and professional persons, a thorough exam, and all questions answered. Thanks for superb service in your clean and friendly establishment😊

I’ve never been to an OB/Gyn before and this wasn’t too far from where I’m currently living which was definitely great. But the staff made me feel very welcome and treated me with kindness!

Hands down best GYN experience Ive ever had. Dr. Marshall and her team are all knowledgeable, welcoming, compassionate and absolutely tenacious about making sure your medical needs are heard and addressed in a very timely manner. Whole place is very clean and tidy just as the people who work there are. Will be my forever-GYN!

First time going, went in for a pap, remarkable people. Everyone was nice and kind from the lady at the front desk, very friendly and welcoming to the nurse who took me back made everything less nerve wrecking and doc Alex is amazing. Highly recommend.

Good experience with the appointment itself but HORRIBLE trying to get in touch with them after. Still not able to. Voicemail goes round and round. Operator switches you back to voicemail. Cannot leave a message because I don’t have an extension, nurse practitioner, who I saw, VM says doesn’t exist when I type in her last name. AWFUL AND FRUSTRATING.

Alex and Courtney were very attentive to my questions and concerns. They were very thorough to my care plan. Overall I was very pleased.

I was actually glad that I was one of the first patients, I was able to get seen and out of there pretty quickly, which I appreciate, the doctor was very kind and helpful with the information she gave me

I’m cherry Jacob & I’m so pleased with my visit…. Everyone was so so nice! The receptionist made me feel so welcomed!!! Dr. Kanaski is very professional, I was so relaxed with everything….. the nurse made my day! I’m very satisfied!!!

Great care during visits. Kind, courteous, caring. Only complaint is the Ascension phone system trying to reach offices throughout the system. Hard to get to talk to a live person. The systems just keeps looping thru recordings and no contacts given.

Great care and wonderful staff at the Bluewater Bay office of Dr. Ashley Knarzer OB GYN. Thankfully I can receive quality medical care near my home where everyone is exceptional and make sure you are treated respectful.

If you like having a doctor you can get ahold of, this is probably not the office for you! Youd think with two doctors one of them would get back to you after calling 4 different days. Especially when youre leaving messages asking about when they were going to refill a prescription and call you back about your next appointment. Weve learned more from Google, including the fact that its not normal for your doctor to say that your pregnancy is going to be 46 weeks.

Absolutely extremely unprofessional. I moved over here and no longer had an OB. I gave this facility my medical records , and after having them for over 2 weeks and waiting 2 weeks for them to even receive them, they told me the doctor had them and just hadn’t went over them. I’ve left a few voicemails and called and they won’t return them or answer the phone. Find a facility that cares about its new and up coming patients.

I have had multiple pregnancies and experiences with the Sacred Heart group. I’ve seen many doctors and all of the Sacred Heart OBs seem wonderful and thoughtful. Dr. Hood is my primary, but Dr. Tidwell delivered my first son (and his wife is my sons pediatrician!) and my experience is consistently great. Scheduling is easy, the on-call line is always helpful for my many questions, and the facilities in Destin are all so nice.

The staff worked me in as a new patient due to a cancellation. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional! I am so grateful!

Everyone is warm & friendly. I feel very comfortable going there and until now I had NEVER felt comfortable going to GYN appointments before.

Persnickety front desk/scheduling coodinator. Tried to tell me paps are every two years after 30, that’s outdated and limited information. Had a laugh in her voice when she told me they were booked out until October, without asking if I had problematic symptoms, which I do. If you’re reading, just go to Destin.

I appreciate the time and patience that goes into each appointment I’ve had there from checking in to the interactions with the different staff members.

The APRN Rachel is an amazing asset to your institution. She is honest, trustworthy and kind. You are lucky to have her on your team.

Horrible customer service!! I have yet to receive help with my medical condition because the operator kept transferring me to a line that was not working. I am still trying to contact my doctor and I’ve also submitted a request in the patient portal! The phone number to the office is a joke. This automated system is no help. I cannot get anywhere.

Very pleasant and professional receptionist! The sonographer was also very pleasant, and put me at ease right away, was very efficient, yet thorough, knowledgeable.

I was really enjoyed this appointment! I even had a time to watch the movie The Godfather from start to end. It was a really good movie.

Went here four years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest son. She induced my labor for no medical reason. Did nothing when I hemorrhaged after birth. Now that I am pregnant with my second son in a different state the office has not sent my records to my doctor now after waiting for three months.

These doctors care. The nurses are so sweet and knowledgeable. I feel safe, listened to, and well taken care of🥰
