Hi highly recommend Dr. Emil Velasquez of Malaya Acupuncture and Wellness! I sought out Dr. Velasquez based on his stellar reviews for acupuncture treatment, and I have been very very happy with my progress under his care. When I first started seeing Dr. Velasquez my tennis elbow (from playing pickleball) was so painful that I could barely lift a glass of water. After an in-depth intake, Dr. Velasquez was able to target and treat the inflammation in my arm, providing me with immediate and sustained relief from the pain. For the first few weeks I scheduled sessions twice a week, then once a week and now, with full recovery, I am seeing him 1-2 times a month for maintenance. My sessions are also helping me with meditation and relaxation. I am so grateful his expertise and kindness in promoting my healing journey so that I can stay active and fit! Highly recommended!!!

It has been the best choice for me to change my life from pains n suffering prety much my whole life I should have done it sooner to eliminate 5 pains meds I have taking for long time since the first time I did my treatments I felt lighter and no suffering of any kind of pains but made my life n health easy. I’ve been going to Malaya Acupuncture for over a year now and it continues to be such an amazing experience through and through. Not only is Emil willing to work with you but actually listens when you’re discussing your medical issues with him. Surprisingly, not many professionals are able to do that effectively. Emil and staff are very warm and welcoming I have had on every meeting with them very positive experience. Emil is the best acupuncturist Ive ever gone to. I am so grateful my friend (who is also a gifted acupuncturist) highly recommended Emil to me! I have been going every 10 days for about a few months and can say that I feel very well taken care of, supported, and healthier. I have been sleeping better, have more energy and my longstanding intestinal troubles seem to be a thing of the past.Parking is stress free. Even after I misunderstood my coverage thru my insurance, that did not stop him from offering my treatments until I got it sorted it. His office staff went above and beyond, calling my insurance to better understand my coverage on my behalf as well. And I havent even gotten to the actual treatment itself! After years of a stabbing pain I was experiencing in my back, he addressed it through a treatment plan and I can happily say I have not experienced that stabbing pain ever since I visited his office. Ive been going to Malaya Acupuncture weekly for three months for nerve pain. As an acupuncture newbie, Emil was able to calm any fears I may have had, and the experience has been nothing but great. My partner and I have been seeing Emil for more than a year now. I came to him for hip pain and anxiety. We saw him consistently every week. I like to ask questions and he answered my questions without making me feel bad for asking them. Hes very compassionate and you know that he really cares about his clients. One experience that Ill never forget was in one of the earlier sessions, I told him that I was cramping (PMS) and he said, okay, I can help you with that. He placed a needle somewhere in my lower abdomen and it kinda felt weird, and at the end of the session, my cramping was gone!!! :D :D :D And since weve been getting acupuncture from him consistently, I never had cramping ever :D :D :DWith my anxiety...it took a while. But every time he would put that needle at the top of my head and on my third eye, I would always feel relieved of whatever what I was worrying about.His herbs are awesome, too! But Im still pretty new to taking them so Ill update this review later on regarding that.Emil knows his stuff! My partner and I wish that we can take him with us anywhere we go. Hes that awesome!!!

This wellness center was perfect for me as someone totally new to acupuncture. After one assessment from Emil, he knew things about my health I never even thought to share, and how to improve them! I booked an appointment for chronic ankle pain after my podiatrist ran out of suggestions. After two/three sessions, my pain went away and never came back! And as a bonus, Emil caught and addressed problems with my digestion as well. He spoke to me as a fellow athlete and really listened when my medical doctors wouldnt. I have 100% confidence in Malayas ability to heal!

Dr. Velasquez is a kind, true healer. As a Chinese Medicine practitioner myself, I like to get health care from Dr. Velasquesz. He knows that I respond well to gentle needling and he avoids strong needling methods when he works with me. I appreciate that he has furthered his studies in his doctorate program and he is very knowledgeable of Chinese Herbalism as well.
