Nikki Rowan, MD

She did what other surgeons said could not be done! She took so much time with me before, during, and after my surgery. I’m forever grateful and I highly recommend Dr. Rowan. Yea, she runs behind on her appointment times because she takes her time with EACH patient. I’d gladly wait an extra hour to see her. I no longer have to be in misery and damn near bleed to death every month! Now that my issue is finally behind me there is no more anemia (mine was crazy severe) and I actually have the energy that I need to be able to exercise and live a healthier lifestyle. God really blessed me by leading me to her!

Dr Nikki Rowan is a very great doctor she is very compassionate about her patients she Cares about her patients if she cant help you shes not going to hurt you. She is very knowledgeable and educated on whats shes doing if you cant fix it she direct you in the right direction and shes going to check on you and make sure you are in the right hands I thank you Dr Rowan everything!!! Keep allowing your light to shine bright. Living by the Golden rule.

So far the best doc I have experienced for my case…Background: I’m a rare case of wanting a VBA2C. It has been a nightmare trying to find a provider agreeable to support me.Review: I’ve heard about Dr Rowan for a long time and finally got in to see her. Her reputation is accurate. She took her time to fully review my case, to speak to me like I’m part of the team, go over full risks/benefits, hear out my opinions/desires, and was honest with me about her preferences. We don’t see eye to eye on everything, as she likes her fair share of interventions and I’m pretty natural minded. I hope to avoid interventions unless necessary. Dr Rowan was honest in sharing that she will continue to suggest the interventions she recommends but ultimately it is my choice. She vocalized wanting to build trust with me so that if the time comes and there’s a true emergency , there won’t be a question of ethics and that I can trust her support. WOW…never have I ever had a Dr provide such a well rounded, respectful discussion.Did the wait take a long time to be seen…yes. BUT totally worth it for the quality of care.Get this woman a raise, she is a gift to the OBGYN community.Praying her words hold up in action during labor and delivery.Thank you Dr Rowan.

Dr. Rowan delivered my 3rd baby via VBAC2! Her and the WHOLE office staff ( all providers, manager, nurses, MA’s and front desk ) were amazing my whole pregnancy. If I had any questions or concerns they were always there and available to help me. I don’t think I could have found a better provider or office to make my “dream” birth come true. She had faith in me even when I thought about caving and scheduling another c-section! I’m positive had I went else where it would have never happened. 10/10. Even my care prior to/after pregnancy has been equally wonderful.I can’t thank Dr. Rowan enough or this office for providing such quality care.

Dr. Rowan and her staff are wonderful. She takes her time with you and listens to your concerns. Her staff is kind, friendly and always go above and beyond to take care of their patients.

Red Flags! As a New Patient 3/7/24 I will Not be back! My appt @9AM I arrived @8:15 to fill out paperwork. I was not seen till 9:25 as younger females came in behind laughing they were late, they were seen ahead of me anyway! I had to ask for a urine sample due to my complications and was told I didnt ask to use the restroom! As I was seen, Conversations with the Dr. I was questioned as to WHY I chose a Breast Augmentation.(my choice) My thoughts are, 1 against Csections, Breast augmentations, and Tattoos! I must be the Enemy? I Should Not be Judged as to My Body, when young girls were in there pregnant with their female baby daddy Is that the Reasoning for Unisex bathroom? In a Female OBGyn office? We are Now going on Day 2 My Estrogen Prescriptions have Not been called in ! As the young girl was taking my blood, I told her she was hurting me!She laughed and Replied Im not doing anything! Though it caused a knot, chilling, and throbbing sensation! I had another outside RN look and was told, she went beyond my vein!With concerns I called Twice Chad could not help me! 3rd time calling back Tanya was helpful yet to No Avail I called BCBS told them of my experience and Now Ive been turned over to a New Facility! Due to Urinalysis, Blood work, and Pap This is a Preventative yearly exam, lets see how the Billing System Works!3 /11 Still No Estrogen Prescription has been called in!

I have been a patient of DR Nikki Rowan since 2010 and she is by far the best Dr ever! When I say she truly cares about her patients . She listens and takes her time to truly understand your thoughts and concerns and just doesn’t try and prescribe meds.She delivered 1 my last child and it was a long labor however she was there every step of the way discussing current stage and ensured my delivery wishes were granted. You will enjoy not only her but her caring staff as well!Signed a very loyal patient of 1 amazing Dr!

Dr. Rowan is an awesome doctor of womens health. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answered my questions without rushing me out the door. Dr. Rowan genuinely care about about her patients...a really GREAT bedside manner.

Dr. Rowan did an amazing job on my Wifes surgery. She not only listened to my Wifes concerns and request to not be cut into, but she did it in the most ethical way possible. Dr. Rowan always provides quality care! I look forward to utilizing her for any future needs.

Honestly every since dr Rowan moved over to orange Park, me seeing her has been one hell of a hassle. Definitely would prefer to see her ik shes great Im comfortable with her and she knows my anatomy already. But orange Park has not been a good change for me personally. Hopefully I find someone as great as her who Im comfortable with. Your awesome Nikki! I wish you had your own practice ♥️

Dr. Rowan and Dr. Corbin recently did my hysterectomy. They are both incredible doctors who really care about their patients. Every visit to the office has been a pleasant experience, thanks to the amazing staff! I just had my first appointment with Dr. Rowan today and I am AMAZED by how much time she took with me. She talked with me about everything I had questions about and more. She spent almost an hour with me talking to me about all the things. The staff here is lovely as well.I want to also touch on the fact that Dr. Rowan and her team made it imperative that I brought in paperwork from previous doctors on my condition. She went over all of it and asked lots of questions. I felt so taken care of and I am so appreciative.Thank you, Dr. Rowan and your team. See you soon!

After a miscarriage, Rowan office did not want to see me or call me back. One month later, I had a + pregnancy test, which we confirmed with an outside ultrasound. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist told me she did not believe I was pregnant again and would schedule me for an appointment. She wanted to schedule it out as far out as she could because she thought it was a false positive. Mind you the receptionist has no medical training or background and was completely ignoring all of the medical evidence. She scheduled for the end of October making me almost 14 weeks pregnant for the first appointment.At the first appointment the nurse laughed when I explain my miscarriage, as well as my now recent positive pregnancy test which was confirmed with an ultrasound. She wanted an additional pregnancy test. Of course that test came back +. We were seen by the nurse practitioner, Alicia Rivera. At this appointment they did an ultrasound but did not listen to the heart beat and then scheduled me with ROC (high risk pregnancy group) for my growth scan since I was so far along at my first appointment. At ROC it was discovered the baby has a rare genetic anatomical abnormality which would require close observation by ROC. At follow up appointment the nurse practitioner Rivera stated “everything looks great and we’ll see you back at your next appointment” as if she had not read the notes from ROC. My fiancé asked her about the findings from ROC. The nurse practitioner was clueless as if she did not read any reports or know what was going on.Every appointment after, Rowan’s office kept this “everything is fine” attitude and never went into depth with us about the condition or what to expect as far as a plan for birth, complications that may arise, or asked how we were doing or if we had questions about the complications, etc. Later on, ROC diagnosed us with severe IUGR. Rowan’s office still have not discussed any plan and the diagnosis was hardly mentioned at any appointments with them. We did not meet the actual doctor until 28 weeks gestation. Every other time it was the nurse practitioner even though we had asked the receptionist to schedule exclusively with Doctor Rowan. We were supposed to meet Doctor Rowan one time before the 28 week appointment but she cancelled on us the day of and we were not informed until we were checking in at the office.Weeks later, the nurse practitioner (Rivera) prescribed a medication known to cause malformation in babies. My fiancé is a doctor and recommended I not take the medicine. In his clinic, they go out of their way to avoid this medication in pregnant women.We ended up transferring care to River City Ob/Gyn at the recommendation of ROC. The first thing they asked when making appointment for first visit was to make sure we had not taken the medication prescribed by Rowan’s office. We were seen every time by Doctor Wells who from the first appointment knew our case front and back and talked us through every possible outcome. She answered all of our questions. And we saw her at every single appointment after that. No different doctors or nurse practitioners.Our baby ended up coming early and Doctor Wells came in on her off day to deliver the baby herself. Continuity of care was maintained throughout our care with Doctor Wells. Delivery was smooth and baby is doing well. I found myself so relieved and grateful that I was not still with Rowan’s office because had I been, I truly do not believe things would have went as smooth as they did.My fiancé has specifically told me that he will not recommend or refer any pregnant patients to Doctor Rowan’s office because of this experience and will recommend they stay away from her. I do not believe Doctor Rowan office is equipped to take care of patients and I do not believe that she cares about her patients or have any interest in them at all. Not once during my time under Doctor Rowan care did I ever feel like she took ownership of her patient.

I was 18 and pregnant with my first child when I had Dr. Rowan. I would advise any young expecting mothers to find a different provider. It has taken me ten years to write this review, but my pregnancy and birth experience under her care was less than warm, informative, and supportive. I have used Dr. Martin Garcia for my three other children and was shocked how kind he was, I didn’t get that from Dr. Rowan. There were other issues after pregnancy that she stated “well I guess it is good you had a child young.” That statement has never left me. I really hope she’s had more diversity training and experience to support young mothers who choose life, and are HAPPY to be a mother. My life is beautiful, so are my children and my “teen” pregnancy didn’t define me.

Where to even start. I Absolutely Love Dr. Rowan and her staff. She always has time for your concerns or questions and helps you understand anything you may not understand. I would recommend her to everyone. She has been my Dr for my last 3 pregnancies.

Go somewhere else. They make up excuses and blame you. I NEVER saw Dr. Rowan until I was in labor and delivery. I was forced to take medication I didnt need. I was forced at the hospital to go 24+ hrs without food with them, saying I was a gestational diabetic. I was informed by their only surgeon in the practice 2 month before my due date flat out told me I will have a c section and walked out of the room. I ended up being forced to have an emergency c section by that surgeon the day i was in labor and delivery. No one at this clinic cares about the mother only concern to line their pockets.

This place treated me horribly my whole pregnancy. The nurses never answer the phone, they lost my blood more than 3 times and I’m a difficult stick according to them (nowhere else has a problem with sticking me) so I would have to go BACK in because my blood would continuously go missing, they would blame lab corp every time but if they’re so bad why keep sending peoples blood to them? The would have to stick me 3+ times. On top of that, this lady drew my blood and AFTER starts pouring alcohol on it of course it burns so I yank away and tell her how you’re supposed to clean the area before not after (I’m also a Phlebotomist) and she ARGUED with me and kept telling me to just give her my arm, I was traumatized. You don’t even know who’s gunna deliver your baby until the day of, you don’t meet Nikki Rowan until you’re going into labor. You can just tell nobody cares, they’re just there to get a check. This place had great reviews before I started going and I learned it’s because it’s a newer office. The only good part about this place is there is a possibility Dr. Toon can deliver your baby. She was so amazing, I love her so much. You don’t meet her until your in the hospital though because she doesn’t do the office work, only the hospital. SAVE YOUR TIME GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! These people do not care

OMG, where do I start.... My experience with Dr. Rowan and her team was by far the best experience ever. I had just moved to Jacksonville and needed and OBGYN. I found this doctor and I believe I found a jewel. Her bedside manners are the best. All questions related to my pregnancy she was very knowledgeable. My doctors visits were nice! The nurses are the best. Being that I was new to the area, I enjoyed my visits because I looked forward to chatting with my nurse. There were little to no wait times to be seen. They cared about my health and wellbeing. They respected me as a person. To be honest, there are so many great things I can say. During my delivery, I know it sounds crazy but I had a great time. I felt safe and was confident in knowing that my doctor would perform well. The whole staff on that day supported me and made sure that I felt well. I had a cesarean and I did not feel any pain. The process took less than 30 minutes. I couldnt believe it. Later that day, I didnt feel pain. I was ambulating just fine. My incision has healed wonderfully and it does not look like I was ever cut. My stomach is flattening. I am feeling healthy. The team at her office are still ensuring that my health is good. GREAT experience!

Dr Rowens office was so lovely and safe feeling ...I felt 100% comfortable with papsmears and when they were checking my cervix/dilation..Dr Rowen and her nurses made me feel like I was a special individual and not just another patient!I am so thankful that she was the doctor that delivered my little boy!

Dr. Rowan has such a wonderful demeanor. She listens to her patients, answers their questions and has an infectious laugh. Not many women look forward to pap smears, however Dr. Rowan makes your visit quick, easy and comfortable. I love her!

These people are terrible a guy named chad was supposed to release my records to another provider I wanted to leave peacefully and not make a big fuss but my last straw was when I fell getting chased by a stray dog holding my one year old 12 weeks pregnant I had told him my leg was numb and I had pain in my back and abdomen he showed zero concern told me they were short staffed and to wait until the end of the week I went to the hospital because of their trash response and simply request to be transferred I called 2 weeks in a row and no one had done anything I called this morning and they are just now transferring me (allegedly)the last appointment I had was in April if something is wrong with my kid I swear to God this clinic will get all the legal works ! Long story short don’t waste your time !

Dr. Rowen is one of the best gynecologists, she listens to you and understands your concerns. She very positive and caring. I highly recommend her services.

I had a placental abruption at 30 weeks and Dr. Rowan happened to be the doctor on call at the hospital. She quickly took control of a chaotic situation while giving me lots of information about my options and the best course of action.My baby was big, my fluids were high, and I REALLY wanted to try a vaginal delivery. But as a first time mom, many of the doctors werent comfortable with me trying because I had an unproven pelvis. Dr. Rowan took a lot of time explaining to me all of the risks and worst case scenarios that could arise from an attempt. She was patient in answering all of my questions and willing to let me try since I was informed and understood the risks.When it came time to induce, the delivering hospital was unwilling to allow Dr. Rowan to administer pitocin because my baby was an estimated 20grams over the 5000g limit. They were trying to force me into a C-section.On a Friday afternoon, Dr. Rowan worked with my maternal fetal specialist to convince the hospital to let me try, going so far as to write a two page letter to the board of the hospital in a different state telling all the reasons I should be allowed to try.Long story short, my son was born in less than three hours of hard labor and 6 minutes of pushing weighing 11#9oz. He was perfect and I was fine.I am now 33 weeks pregnant again. I have moved cross country, so unfortunately cant have her as a doctor. But thanks to her, even though I again have a large baby with high fluids, today I was told that its ok, because I have a proven pelvis!Without Dr. Rowan, I would again be in a forced C-section situation. Thank you!

I am disappointed in the staff here. I was eager to get an appointment scheduled with Dr. Rowan because of being under her care in the past as well as the reviews and the fact that she accepts my insurance. I called on 7/6 and received an appointment for 7/15. At 4:45pm 7/14 I received a voicemail to reschedule due to the dr being at the hospital for that day. I then was told it’s because they do not have the proper equipment to see me. I rescheduled for 7/23. I called 7/22 at 9:30am to confirm this and express some complications I’m having. I was told I would get a call back. I called back and spoke to the rudest receptionist who didn’t even state her name. I’m high risk and can’t keep pushing my appointment. After two weeks of thinking I found a practice I’m now back to the drawing board.

I can’t say ENOUGH good things about this Doctor, her staff and her practice!!!! I met her for my physical and wasn’t sure about a female OB, but she is to the point and matter of fact, well fast forward to my ablation surgery and she was perfect!!! Took the best care of me. Like what doctor comes into the operating room before scrubbing up, just to hold your hand because your nerves are on level 10 and rubs your hand because the Anesthesiologist said good night and the meds they gave burned going through the IV in my hand and she just rubbed my hand and then she went and did her thing with scrubbing up! I am truly grateful I found you and you are stuck with me, even if I serenade everyone in the OR with Adele…lol. When I get nervous I turn to humor and she takes it like a champ. I wish I could give her every star in the galaxy!!!

Dr. Rowan delivered all 3 of my children. My last one came 2 months early. She was on her way home and came back because of my situation had changed so greatly and delivered my daughter who is now 2 today. So grateful for her.

Dr. Rowan has delivered my 2 sons and my daughter otw. My wife and my are always happy with the care that she provides us! Excellent on-gyn!!

I am just a little frustrated .. I have been calling the office for more than 3 weeks to make an appointment and unable to get anyone on the phone. each time I call no matter the extension it says you all are not available and to leave a message I have done that also more than 6 times and no return calls have been made... Just really disappointing bc I really love Dr. Rowan

Dr. Rowan hands down is the best. She is very personable and patient. I highly recommend her.

I love the new place.. my only problem is I can no longer get in touch with anyone! Been calling all morning and it’s making me leave voicemails instead. Not to sure what’s going on but I’ve always been able to talk to a real person.
