I have received phenomenal prenatal, c-section, and postpartum care through Oakdale OBGYN. However, it is almost impossible to schedule an appointment over the phone and going into an office to schedule isn’t realistic for everyone and not all appointments can be made in office. I almost gave up on having any postpartum care post c-section after spending over an hour collectively trying to get though at different times and on different days while caring for a newborn. I even made a request to schedule online and no one ever got back to me. I’d love to go here for future pregnancies but, unfortunately, the stress of trying to schedule an appointment may have me looking elsewhere.

Had prenatal care with Oakdale and would highly recommend. Regina Brown was the midwife on call during my delivery and I had nothing but a pleasant experience with her. Despite having a very busy weekend, she made me feel heard and content during my delivery. I saw many midwives throughout my pregnancy and didn’t have a bad experience with one of them.

I really appreciate my time with Oakdale. Ive loved all but one provider Ive seen there but will RAVE about Dr. Anna Meyer. She has been our safe place through a rough infertility time period and as of next week will deliver both our boys. She has a special place in our hearts and really truly gives us the best care. I would recommend her to all my friends and family.

I first went here after trying to get pregnant for a year. They did some basic testing and it was fine, but really not helpful. I was told I had unexplained infertility and to proceed with IVF or IUI. I did not do either. Fast forward another year and I became pregnant. Sadly, this ended in a miscarriage which is when I had my first bad experience here. I had to have an ultrasound to confirm the miscarriage and the ultrasound techs were not compassionate and the whole process was very painful. I felt they did not do a great job offering support or recommending next steps.2 years later I went back, this time to see Dr. Zhang about a laparoscopy for endometriosis. I was on a list with a different clinic but was scheduled a year out. My appt with Dr. Zhang was roughly 10 minutes. Because I did not present with any kind of pain, she completely dismissed the idea that I could have endometriosis. About a month later, I had surgery with a different clinic and they found I had stage IV endo. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who is going through infertility.

I truly wish I would have found Oakdale sooner. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to my first appointment after having traumatic experiences at my previous OB.Dr. McEvoy was such a calming, peaceful presence. She explained everything thoroughly and I didnt feel rushed. Both my husband and I saw the complete difference of professionalism and structure of the clinic compared to our previous one.I also love that they have a nutritionist on-staff so I can also get help with healthy eating to promote fertility!TTC is a long, hard, and exhausting road. At Oakdale, I feel like my hope is being renewed.

I would recommend against choosing Oakdale for OBGYN needs. I have since delivered my baby and been at a new OBGYN for many months now, so I had time to put some thought into this review before writing it. I used to see Dr. Manneh at Oakdale who was great, but she was clearly overworked and quit (I dont blame her). The others that I saw at Oakdale fell below my expectations of what quality medical care should look like. One of the male doctors told me he just pulled the speculum from the refrigerator before using it. Another time the doctor I saw forgot to order testing for me, and they instead disposed of my sample. Another provider I saw (when I was about 34 weeks pregnant) dismissed my symptoms and essentially told me that I needed to toughen up and thats just how pregnancy is. She also tried to convince me that a lack of sleep is not a medical issue despite the fact that there is an entire medical specialty devoted to sleep medicine when I had explained that I was having apnea-like episodes while trying to sleep during pregnancy. She went on to explain to me that their clinic has certain blanket rules for all patients, and they do not evaluate certain issues on a patient-by-patient basis, but instead apply their rules equally to all patients regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, Google helped me more during my pregnancy than Oakdale did. My new OBGYN monitored my pregnancy much more closely because it was an IVF pregnancy, requiring weekly screening (that Oakdale did not even mention as an option). My new OBGYN also understood and treated my symptoms without judgment and appeared to be overall better equipped to engage in medical practice. I would not recommend Oakdale.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Hallstrom. Despite being deeply committed to my decision and knowing people under 21 who have had sterilization surgery, Dr. Hallstrom refused to perform the procedure solely because of my age. I felt lied to and disrespected during my consultation. The dismissive and rude attitude only added to my frustration. I strongly advise young women seeking sterilization to look elsewhere, as you will likely face unnecessary obstacles and lack of support here.

Oakdale OB came very highly recommended to us by lots of friends that have come here. The midwives at Oakdale OB were absolutely fantastic. They listened to all of our questions and concerns and followed up in a manner where we felt heard and left each appointment happy and knowledgeable in what was to come. Being first time parents and going through your first Pregnancy can be kinda scary as your body changes and makes room for the growing babe, and they were great to us never making me feel bad for being concerned about something anytime I had a question. Brigitta K delivered our baby and she was fantastic. I loved our delivery process so much because she was so great to us. Cannot say enough about all the staff here. I needed a new OB when I became pregnant as I felt very gaslit and not taken care of at a different clinic. During my pregnancy I saw all but one midwife, a couple of the OBs, an NP, and plenty of their nurses. I can say that I was treated with respect, care, and dignity for my whole experience. My questions were answered, I didn’t feel rushed, and I felt safe with my birthing experience. Shout out to Deborah the midwife, my absolute fave of the crew, for her transparency, humor, and compassion. She’s the kind of person you’d want to get coffee with!Knocking one star off because you need to schedule certain appointments on the phone instead of the front desk which seems weird and inconvenient, and because the physical therapist schedule is very booked out so it’s hard to get in when you need it.

I’ve heard many rave reviews about this clinic before making the decision to switch to this clinic for my very last pregnancy (6th).As an OB RN of 12 years who know a thing or two about healthcare, let me just say that if you are looking for quality prenatal care, look elsewhere!I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, and from the very beginning of the pregnancy, I mentioned I wanted a tubal ligation. Not once did anyone follow through with my wishes and asked if this was still something I would be interested in.Every appointment that I had, I was seen by a new provider. There was no continuity of care. You were literally treated as just a number.Furthermore, not one provider has asked me how I plan on feeding my baby or if I am interested in getting a breast pump through insurance to support my wishes of breastfeeding.I am NOT one to complain, but the very last straw came when I had to schedule my induction.Backstory: I have a history of precipitous deliveries. Almost all of my babies were car babies. My last pregnancy, my provider and I decided to avoid this from happening we should induce at 39 weeks. Overall, it ended up being a great experience. At my first couple of appointments at this clinic, the provider mentioned this would definitely be something we could do as well.So at my 37 weeks appointment, I brought up the possibility of induction at 39 weeks, knowing it may be hard to secure a date. The provider said they couldn’t schedule anything until I was 38 weeks pregnant. Fair enough. At my 38 weeks appointment, the provider mentioned I should expect a call from the triage nurse to get this scheduled. Three days go by and I hear nothing so I finally call them to see if perhaps my order did not get put in.Finally, a triage nurse calls me back telling me they are not able to schedule me in for an induction until another 2 weeks! Mind you, I naturally go into labor with all of my children before my due date anyway and the whole purpose of scheduling an induction is to avoid a precipitous delivery as mentioned at the very start of my pregnancy. What good would an induction at 40 weeks do for me?With my last baby, I was able to schedule an induction for the very same hospital nearly 3 weeks ahead of time. This clinic needs to get it together.Stray far away if you want quality care!!

I have been seen at this clinic for two years now. My first experience with Nurse Lafond was overall a good experience. This time around I experienced a missed misscarriage and it was not an experience I came back feeling good from. Minutes after the ultrasound I was whisked into the office where I was met by Katrina S. Being asked if I plan on trying again within minutes of hearing the news that my husband and I did was rather upsetting (she hinted at my age, I’m 36). She felt rushed during the conversation. I felt such a situation could have been better handled by a MD or doctor than a CNM because they are able to stick to the science and can anticipate questions better than Katrina did.I think if pregnancy at ages 35 and above are considered high risk/geriatric then the medical support for such mothers should be elevated to professionals who are more capable of handling moms and families that have different experiences and needs than low to no risk healthy pregnancies.I’m glad I was eventually connected with Dr. Palmer and Dr. Zhang who helped me with my D&C and the post procedure follow up for a partial molar pregnancy. They did not make comments or discuss my age and my supposed late timing for planning a baby. I felt confident I was in good hands. My request is please get to know your patients a little better when you are partnering them with a care provider.

I called to make an appointment because I heard of good things about Oakdale OBGYN. I gotta say, first impressions really make a difference. The young woman who took my call to make an appointment sounded like it’s been a long day for her, as if she was annoyed and wanted to get it done asap. This kind of customer service attitude took me by surprise. The following day I decided to make an appointment elsewhere and it ended up being an earlier date so I went ahead and cancelled my appointment with Oakdale via email because I felt uncomfortable calling and didn’t want to feel like a bother. Seems like this isnt the first occasion where the scheduler is unfriendly— read a review from the Blaine location. I probably would have had a decent experience at Oakdale but this was a bad first impression which made me worry that this is how the rest of the staff are like.

I come to the midwives at Oakdale for prenatal care. Overall I feel that they provide decent care. Sometimes I think they’re treating me like a number instead of an individual with unique factors and concerns. Front desk is nice and haven’t had any issues with standard of care. I don’t feel anyone is going above and beyond to treat me but I’m also ok with the service. I have high hopes for delivering with them. The biggest concern for me is that some of the scheduling ladies have terrible phone etiquette. To sound like you’re inconvenienced every single time I call for an appointment is terribly unprofessional. Do better.

First, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and weight in Maple Grove clinic was cold and unfriendly. She did not even ask me about any questions for the provider. Second, the midwife was friendly overall, but I was surprised at her long fingernails. Her nail polish is cute, but, her long nails hurt me when doing the cervical exam. Im surprised that midwifes are allowed to have long fingernails. Can anyone tell me that if thats a good practice for midwifes to grow their nails? I would think it can hurt patients when they stick their fingers in to check the cervix... Cervical exam is already uncomfortable with feeling pressured. With long finger nails poking your cervix, its really really painful.

Switched to Oakdale OBGYN around 32 weeks into my pregnancy from complications that required a change in care from the midwife-run birth center I was previously getting my care at. I am now 5 months postpartum and I have been very pleased with my care from the entire team, both prenatal, delivery, postnatal care, and general GYN appointments/needs. The staff is professional, caring, compassionate, and honestly listens to my concerns, questions, and goals. Working through a prenatal care and birth experience/plan shift that late in my pregnancy was emotionally and mentally draining. The staff of nurses, midwives, and doctors honestly made me feel comfortable and like I was being seen as a person, not just another patient. I would whole-heartedly recommend anyone to Oakdale OBGYN for prenatal, birth, postpartum, and non-pregnancy GYN needs.

I saw Oakdale’s Midwife group throughout my pregnancy. At my last appointment I had a couple high blood pressures so I was asked to go over to triage at Maple Grove Hospital for some labs. While there, my blood pressures remained elevated but were gradually coming down, and there was no protein identified in my urine. My husband and I preferred to go home and take a couple more blood pressures to see if the high ones were anxiety induced. I felt very passionate about allowing my daughter to come when she was ready and since my labs were still okay, I thought waiting a few more hours was reasonable. The midwife (Katy S.) continued to push me to be induced saying ‘’what is the end goal?’’ Basically implying that as long as I birthed my baby who cares how it happened. Birth experience absolutely matters. She also listened to the nurse tell me, ‘’there is no reason for your baby to be inside you anymore anyway.’’ This was extremely offensive to me as I believe in a woman’s biological ability to birth a child without assistance the majority of the time. I was 40 weeks and ONE day! We decided to consult with another midwife group and they agreed that induction was premature. My husband and I ended up leaving. We took my blood pressures every hour throughout the night and they were ALL normal (he is an ER nurse and takes manual blood pressures on a regular basis). I ended up going into labor on my own within 12 hours and was able to dilate to a 10 without being induced as I hoped to. My blood pressures remained acceptable with no sign of preeclampsia the entire time. This is a perfect example of why there is not a ‘’one size fits all’’ and mothers should trust in themselves. I knew that the high blood pressures were related to anxiety but I was being told that I had gestational hypertension and needed to be induced asap. I did not feel heard and felt zero compassion from Katy. Even though the midwife who ended up helping me through labor (Annie L) was wonderful, I cannot recommend Oakdale for the lack of compassion we received from Katy S. It started out our birth experience in a very negative way and that is a memory I will never get back. There are so many wonderful providers out there. If you believe in the natural birth process, I would go elsewhere for care.

My first experience of visiting a doctor for women (gynecologist) in the USA was excellent from the front desk to the end. I came to America from another country and, like all women, I went to see a doctor (I didn’t have any problems or questions, only prevention). At the reception they greeted me with a smile, asked for ID and insurance and gave me an IPAD so that I could answer questions, many many questions, later when I got into the office they asked me if I needed an interpreter, I answered YES (of course I understand English a little, but I decided that an interpreter is needed because I can’t understand what he’ll say to get up suddenly I have problems because my English is not perfect) they asked me more questions, I answered some questions and IPAD and answered again. I will not tell you the smallest details of how my appointment with the gynecologist went, because everything went well, the doctor and the doctors assistant were very kind and kind. I had a great first visit with this group, but as my pregnancy progressed i was feeling unheard by the providers. I was talked down to a few times in regards to a few vaccines that i would love to get but weren’t okayed for by my Multiple Sclerosis neurologist. Then i had a headache that landed me at the maple grove hospital at 31weeks pregnant. No protein was detected in my urine so I was sent home. I had a very high blood pressure reading the following night and I went to the hospital again, I was monitored for a couple hours and Protein was detected in my urine. Nothing was done and I wasn’t kept for observation and was sent home that night. I did not feel good and I didn’t feel OK being sent home the doctor On call didn’t even bother to come in and talk to me as they told me they were very busy with deliveries. The nurse relayed the message and the doctor felt confident that I can last until Friday which was the day I had an ultrasound and an appointment. The following night I ended up with an even higher blood pressure reading I call to speak to the on-call OB/GYN and she told me that Maple Grove Hospital is at Full capacity and can’t take me without suggesting any other hospitals to go to. I ended up calling the hospitals nearby to see if anyone can take me and a lovely nurse from Methodist ended up calling Southdale Fairview Hospital and they took me in and were scared for my blood pressure readings. By the time I got to the hospital I was at stroke/seizure levels. I was admitted right away for 24 hours and was told to communicate with my OB office to let them know what is going on and if they would want me to go to the Maple Grove Hospital to stay there and deliver there. I called the next morning letting The on-call nurse know what is going on so she can communicate that with the OB and she said she would let the doctor know and to except a call back but the doctor never called me back. Not only was it scary to go through severe preeclampsia with my first pregnancy but I felt very unsafe knowing that I wasn’t gonna have the same providers that I chose in the beginning of my pregnancy, I will do more than just a Google review to make sure that this doesn’t happen to another mother because by the time I got to the hospital I could have very well had a seizure or had a stroke and delivered a sleeping baby. I unfortunately recommended this group to a family member but made sure to let her know not to continue care after my experience.

I switched to Oakdale from my previous OB because I had a family member and a friend recommend the clinic. I went to my first appointment with the expectation that I would be asked questions about my health history and about my previous pregnancy. Instead, i was asked about my vaccination status and chastised for personally not feeling comfortable with it. I felt the need to lie to appease my midwife and ended up leaving my appointment feeling upset and judged. I made my second appointment apprehensively but hopeful that this second provider might treat me differently and I’d leave feeling confident and excited. I spent the next 4 weeks dreading the possible confrontation and wasn’t excited to go. I went to my appointment and saw Ms. Haigler and felt even worse than I had the first appointment. She asked me my vaccination status and her demeanor completely changed the second I said no. I offered her an explanation and my reasoning to only be cut off by a clipped response of “I’m not saying that you have to get it now, but I recommend you get it when you’re done with your pregnancy” (keep in mind this is not verbatim). She explained to me the risks that I am taking on etc. Then said she was done with her questions and asked if I wanted to hear the heartbeat. This was the first time I got to hear anything and she completely robbed me of the excitement. I initially wanted to record the sound so I could share it with my family, but given how the appointment went- I wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I understand and am FULLY aware of what’s going on considering that I am a dental assistant and am constantly exposed to any and all sorts of germs/bacteria at a close proximity. But I did not appreciate the bedside manner that was presented to me. As a healthcare provider it is within their scope of practice to treat each individual with the same standard of care regardless of their views and how they may clash or go against the provider’s. I spent more time with Ms. Haigler discussing Covid than was actually spent discussing my pregnancy. I will never schedule another appointment with her ever again and I will never forget the treatment received by her.I have made a third appointment- with a different provider, but once again I am dreading it. I don’t think I will continue with this clinic for future pregnancies. In response to the reply- yes your clinical manager may contact me.

The amount of professionalism, leadership, knowledge, respect, care she has is unbelievable!Everybody can get a midwife license but not everybody has a gift for it.My midwife Debra is one of few who has heart and passion in addition to certificate.
In the moment when I was overtaken by pain and exhaustion she took responsibility, encouraged me to deliver according to my birth plan and did her best to coach me in the way I felt listened to and respected. She even knitted a hat for our little cutie. How sweet is that?Thank you Debra, for making a lifelong impact on our family!Forever grateful for the experience!

I had a decent experience my first appointment with the ultrasound & labs (staff doing those were very wonderful & considerate). However, during my appointment with the midwife I was ridiculed about my COVID-19 vaccine status (or lack thereof). I know that I dont want any immunizations while pregnant and its not respected. That is my decision and no one can change that & I fully respect everyones choice on that matter. However I do not want to be put down or mistreated for the decisions I make for myself & children. I was nervous to go to my 2nd appointment and thankfully was not asked about the vaccine but I dont know that this will be guaranteed.

I saw the midwife team here during my pregnancy last year and they were wonderful. My pregnancy was very healthy and uneventful which was the easy part. When I was 5 months along, my (then) long term husband decided to torment me with multiple affairs, emotional abuse, and a separation/divorce. It was truly an emotional nightmare and very dark time of my life but the staff was caring, took time to counsel me and continued to make sure that I had whatever support they could offer me (sleeping meds, a hug, etc.). I birthed my daughter at Maple Grove Hospital and had a wonderful experience with Debra as my birth midwife. I used Hypnobabies hypnosis to prepare for my birth and it was very important to me that my birth was as calm and peaceful as possible. Debra and the team at my birth were very accommodating and supportive. I felt like I was in control the entire process. My birth experience was respectful, informed, and peaceful- everything i wanted it to be.I would like to mention that more could have been done for post-partum care (PT, care for tearing).

I loved the Oakdale Midwives! I never had to wait & never felt rushed. Only one made me feel rushed, but you can choose whom you want to see if you connect with one or a few. I connected the most with Jennifer. My delivery and stay at Maple Grove Hospital was with different midwives then I saw during pregnancy & they were all great as well especially the one that delivered my baby & it didnt even matter that I had never met her before. Annie carefully read my birth plan & encouraged me on my natural birth plan even when I was doubting I could do it, so I couldnt have been happier that I stayed on track with my plan thanks to her.

I have had a great experience at Oakdale OBGYN. Dr. Wilcox delivered my last two children via c-section, and did a fantastic job. My recovery was smooth, to which I credit her skills and techniques. I feel I have received amazing care and guidance throughout my pregnancies and routine visits. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

All stage staff is nice and baby friendly theyll hold baby while u go to the bathroom or when u are back in the room which helps A LOT because he hates his car seat. Wait time never seems to be too long. Clean office. They always wanted me to ask questions never made me feel rushed or dumb. Everyone who had problems with a provider shouldve went with a midwife they are great

Ive been coming here since I found out Im pregnant and they have never allowed me to bring my children but I constantly see others come in with there children.... I was told I had to do a three hour glucose and I would be able to have them come with me. When I arrived despite already having permission they told me I would have to stay in the outside lobby for 3 hours because they dont allow kids for more than 15 minutes... Im 30wks and those seats are extremely uncomfortable for me and feel as they pick and choose who they allow to bring children with them. Completely unequal behavior towards certain people.

It’s very unfortunate that my experience here wasn’t as expected. The doctor I seen was McEvoy. I understand we’re still in a pandemic, but I wasn’t made aware that my 20 month old could not attend my appointment and I have no one to watch her. McEvoy frantically panicked when she came in the room and asked how I even got passed the receptionist. I apologized because I didn’t know and I told her well everyone so hi to my daughter and didn’t tell me to leave. She hurried and left the room during my consultation and came back a few minutes later. Still very panicked. A consultation that is supposed to last 30-60 minutes was over in 10 minutes. She didn’t listen to much of anything I said.I’ve mentioned several times to her as well as nurses over the phone that a specific procedure that I’ve had in the past was very traumatic and painful and if possible I’d like to skip and if so much time passes and still no pregnancy I will give it great thought to get the procedure. Today I was told that McEvoy will agree to skip procedure and go on to have a “ plan of action” appointment, but won’t give me anything medication because my BMI is too high. I’ve lost 60 pounds already to prepare for another pregnancy. These are just a few red flags shared from my visit, there are a few more.I’m so disappointed that I wasted my time and money here. Now I know what to ask at whichever new clinic I decide to go to help us grow our family. My nurse at the clinic, I believe her name was Nicole- she’s amazing! Dr.Hallstrom is amazing. Dr. Frank is amazing.

1st pregnancy, worst experience yet. I have horrible hyperemesis and the nurses and doctors do not listen to me. I can’t work. I couldn’t get any type of effective treatment until I switched to another clinic. I couldn’t get a note, even got hassled for it, the most they did was say “oh I’m sorry you’re feeling this way” and pat me on the back. I then got FIRED from my only source of income because of me being so sick and not being able to get a note. Unless they help me find a way to pay for for my mountain of medical bills I will have to attempt to make money up to my due date and not be able to take maternity leave. I have never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable in my life. If you’re feeling sick I promise you going anywhere else will make you so much happier. They contacted me after this review. Still don’t have a job. Still sick and struggling now financially. Don’t come here.

I picked you to deliver my baby girl last year and sent you a referral. I would say the past two years I have gone there I would give overall care and customer service a 2/10. I will be looking elsewhere. Very unfortunate.

I came here for my last pregnancy and birth. Firstly I had problems with billing. They randomly stopped submitting to my insurance without notice leaving me with big bills to pay. Very upset about that. I wasn’t a fan of the OB’s. At 20 weeks pregnant I switched to a midwife, Debra, and we just clicked so I continued to stay with Oakdale due to my love for Debra! I wanted to do a natural birth and Debra was totally supportive. And when it came to birth she was actually the midwife on duty! Hallelujah! I was set on birthing my baby the night I arrived so Debra could deliver her! She was amazing. I got the birth I wanted. :) And I’m so thankful I did deliver at night because the next day the midwife I did NOT like one bit, who I saw the week before, was on duty. She was rude & uninterested in me. Thank the heavens for Debra! I’m very sad though because I just had another recent billing issue with Oakdale. The bill showed up 3 months late for $35 then got sent to collections. I always pay my bills on time so this pushed me over the edge. They claim they sent it in October, but if that were true they would’ve told me I had a balance at my 6 week pp visit. So anyway, I won’t be coming back. I am the 4th person in my group of friends no longer going to Oakdale. Very unfortunate because I want Debra to deliver all of my babies. Oakdale, you need to figure your shi* out.

I had a hard time figuring out how to do rating because I had two different experiences with two different people here...1st with Carmen Stansberry and 2nd with Shannon Harris.I scheduled my 1st obgyn appointment with Carmen Stansberry. Before being seen, I had to have my medical records sent over. When 1st meeting her, she was a very friendly person. During my appointment, she let me know that I would be seeing an MD going forward due to certain needs I have, which was fine, but it should not have impacted the service she provided.I received this big packet of information regarding pregnancy titled Great Expectations, and it was regarding pregancy and all these topics that we were supposed to touch on...at least thats what the inside of the packet said...she did not take the info out stating she did not want to mess up the packet, which was fine. And I know expecting to go through all that was not realistic, but one of the important pieces we should have discussed and that was the panel or lab work that was going to be done. She wanted to test me for things listed and even test that I have had done from previous dr 2 weeks prior...which confused me because I thought that was the point of sending over my medical records. I was unsure of all the test to be done and one was listed saying (need consent). It was overwhelming and I told her that. She told me it is what it is and we kept pushing along. I told her another time about the anxiety and I felt dismissed. She said she would follow up with me and that NEVER happened. My anxiety was connected to poor experiences with doctors and she did not make it any better. So I took these test, and even the person who was drawing the blood, could not tell me all the test that were being done. Being friendly means very little if a persons feelings or concerns are being dismissed. I had to call in for my results and that is sad....I am paying for a service and had to walk away feeling frustrated as I was. I would not go back to her no matter what. If someone reads this, I hope you change the protocol....................................My 2nd appointment was with Shannon. I had read some reviews and was uncertain on what to expect, especially because of my 1st experience. But talking with Shannon was easy to do. And she did follow up on topics we discussed that I wasnt even expecting a follow up on. Before coming to the appointment, I had wrote a list of questions down and during appointment I was reading from the list. I began to wonder if it was too much, but it was Shannon thay encouraged me to ask all the questions I want to. My appointment with Shannon was supposed to.be 20 mins...but someone put in the system 10 mins...but Shannon sat with me easily for 30 mins or more. As we discussed goals, any concern I had she focused in on it and even provided encouragement. I had a separate doctor frommy ob and we both discussed if changing primary doctors would be beneficial during the pregnancy process and Im glad I did. I do have the what if anxieties but talking to Shannon, I felt it was ok if I do want to discuss. Working with her I felt heard and comfortable and played a vital role in me deciding to continue with this location.

I wanted to write to share my experience(s) with Kelly Ihry. In short, Kelly is a fantastic nurse practitioner/medical provider. She LISTENS, shes patient, and shes kind. I started seeing Kelly while I was pregnant - she was the first person my husband and I met with at Oakdale, and we/I kept returning to her for all the visits because she was so down to earth and practical.Finding a healthcare provider is scary - they see us when were our most vulnerable (in more ways than one). However, because of my experience with Kelly, I really feel heard, and understood. Please make sure she knows how valuable she is.If you would like to share this accolade through other media channels, you are more than welcome to do so. All women should feel as comfortable with a provider as I do with Kelly.

October 2018:HORRIBLE! Do not go here. Staff are rude, doctors are not helpful. They write you a prescription and send you on your way OR they do lab/ultrasounds and dont tell you the findings.I initially went here as I was going months without having a period. They wrote me a prescription that was to restart my cycle but it never did. I went back as my husband and I wanted to start trying to have a baby. They decided to do an ultrasound of my ovaries. My provider at Oakdale spent less than 5 minutes going over what they found when doing the ultrasound of my ovaries. They told me everything was normal and my left ovary was hiding but eventually found it. They gave me the visit summary and sent me on my way. They did not tell me I needed to come back, what the next steps are, or what my options were. My concern for why I went there was never addressed. To make matters worse, I found out a year later when going over my medical history/medical records with my new provider at OGI, that they found cysts and lumps on my right ovary and never even saw/found my left ovary!!! Like I said, do not go here... unless you want your Oakdale doctors to find something concerning and note information that contradicts what they told you in the office.Instead go to OGI where the staff are nothing but kind, supportive, and helpful.***update 12/22/18***(After continuing my care at OGI, where they listened to my concerns and helped me find answers.) ....A FUS/PUS, MRI, laparoscopy/hysteroscopy, and labs later - I was finally able to get answers that the staff at Oakdale would not. I was diagnosed with PCOS, which the provider I saw at Oakdale told me I wouldn’t qualify for the diagnosis (same provider who just put me on pills to “restart” my period and have timed intercourse - which never helped). To make matters worse, I found out a year and a half later (because I put off a referral to see an OBGYN due to been afraid every place was like Oakdale and I would just waste money to have providers that wouldn’t take the time to help me find answers) that my left ovary is dead. I am so angry of the thought that I could have found this out (or prevented this - cause is unknown) if my provider at Oakdale would have just listened to me and my husband, taking our concerns and questions seriously.I’m at least thankful that I have an AMAZING provider who goes above and beyond to ensure we are doing what I and my husband want and need. She is always interested in our thoughts and concerns, making sure we have all the options and information to make the best choice/decisions for us. I recommend everyone go to OGI (Maple Grove location) - they are fabulous and you will not regret it!

Bad. I have an issue that makes the gynecological exam VERY painful. They didnt offer any alternatives to the basic exam, or ways to make it less painful, they just stopped and didnt do it. They didnt do anything for my other issue, either. Just sent me on my way with a prescription for BV medication. I didnt get any help with my problems whatsoever. I will not be returning.
