Lisa Bodon, M.D.

Dr Bodon is very personable and likeable but Im tired of chasing her office staff. Im supposed to call the office to reschedule my next appointment because shes going to be on a long vacation. This is my 5th attempt today, leaving messages and no real person EVER calls me back. This is NOT ok!

My initial appointment with Dr. Bodon was amazing. She listened to my concerns and ordered all of the appropriate tests for my age. She had wonderful bedside manner. I did not experience any issues with her staff.

Dr. Is great. Was on hold over 32 minutes. Hung up and called again. On hold again. Transferred to an extension and nobody there. Left message.

Dr Lisa Boden, was the only Doctor out of five Obgyns to address my post menopause night sweats. She knew what medicine I neededNight sweats gone!

Dr Bodon and her staff are an incredible team who provide EXCELLENT care to patients and their families. Dr Bodon is a caring individual who places the patient and their needs first. She listens and offers a variety of sound resolutions. Dr Bodon and her staff use technology to maintain an efficient office, and their professionalism is of the highest caliber! If you want a quality care team, Dr Bodon and her staff are top-notch!

Dr. Bodon is the best doctor I’ve ever had by a long shot. Before her I had seen numerous doctors that were either impossible to get appointments with, or who weren’t really interested in fixing any of my underlying issues, particularly in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley area. Then my wife recommended seeing Dr. Bodon, even though she’s her gynecologist and I’m a dude. I took a chance because I was just generally frustrated with trying to find a general practitioner in the area, and it was definitely the best medical decision I’ve made, and Dr. Bodon was extremely accommodating (she sees all types of patients at her Donya Spa location). Since then I’ve had procedures at her at Donya Spa, and follow ups with her in both her Palm Springs and Palm Desert gynecologist offices. She is always friendly, thoughtful, and puts my concerns first; I cannot speak more highly of her. In 41 years she is the first doctor that I’ve ever had that actually cares and is willing to explore every avenue that can help. I’ve been seeing her for various reasons since May, and in only 5 months she’s completely turned my health around. She makes me feel very comfortable every visit and it feels as if she has been my doctor for years. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming her patient, she’s the best gynecologist a man could have!

Dr. Bodon is friendly and listens. There was zero push back with getting HRT. She is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend her. Im going to tell all my friends about her.

I was recently introduced to Dr Lisa Bodon by a very good friend. I was hoping to get some kind of weight loss treatment and deal with my lower way lower than I could’ve expected. Testosterone level. After doing some lab work, my wife and I met with Dr. Bowden and she arranged a testosterone and Semaglutide treatment that has really helped me out in a lot of ways. My hats off to Dr. Bowden and her entire staff I feel the quality of care there is outstanding.

Dr Bodon truly is a great doctor .She goes the extra miles to care for you.I have experienced so many doctors that don’t care .But not Dr Bodon she the real dealA place to find safe medical care.

I have never had any issues with Dr. Bodon, however, the office staff needs a make-over or an internal review needs to be conducted at the very least. I have made three calls to Dr. Bodon’s office for a prescription refill and the pharmacy has sent three requests to no avail. Every time I call I get sent to voicemail and consequently one of my calls I sat on hold for 14 min 10 seconds before being sent to voicemail. This is unacceptable. If I were to be this negligent at my job, my employer would reprimand or fire me.

I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for OB/GYN or family planning services. My experience with Dr. Bodon was horrible throughout and I wish I would have read reviews before moving forward with her. Dr. Bodon and her staff are negligent, careless, unorganized, and rude. I can only imagine how many patients they have harmed and to add insult to injury they are just so unacceptably unapologetic about it. I can understand that their office is overworked and over booked but if that is the case, they need to step back do an internal review because their current practices are obviously not working and the way they treat patience is having real time consequences on the health and life of their patients. Stop prioritizing money over patients and do better.I found Dr. Bodon through my insurance and gave them a call to make an appointment for a minor procedure that was already a year overdue due to the pandemic. I called Dr. Bodon’s office in March od 2021, and the front of the office was immediately rude to me. I was so taken aback by the woman’s tone. I never have these types of issues with businessed and really try to be amenable, but she just lacked total empathy. My questions were about how much the initial appointment would be and she told me that she could not tell me until they ran it through my insurance during the appointment, but she was much ruder than was needed. I was told I needed to come in for a consult before my minor procedure. I was able to get an appointment a month in advance. A few days before my appointment in April, I was called and told Dr. Bodon was getting a surgery and I needed to reschedule. I had no problem with this, but again the woman calling me was very rude. I had already requested time off for this appointment, which meant I was losing money and time off at work, but still I understand I was empathetic. I did not receive the same from them.I got another appointment in May. I get to my appointment and again the front of the office staff is cold but fine. I wait for the doctor close to an hour. I first spoke to an assistant once I was in the back who weighed me, took blood pressure, etc. It all took less than 5 minutes. She said Dr. Bodon would be with me soon. Dr. Bodon came in and I instantly could see she was rushed. She barely let me speak, wouldn’t look me in the eyes, and just looked at my paperwork. I had questions, concerns, I had to stop her in her tracks to ask her about other forms of birth control and she looked thoroughly annoyed. This all took 2 minutes, but she wanted me to make my decision. I felt rushed but still made my decision under pressure. Dr. Bodon walked me to the front and asks one of the women in the front to file a request with my insurance. Everything was fine at this point.Then months pass. I call Dr. Bodon’s office. The front of office is still rude, cuts me off, I keep apologizing to get anywhere with them and am then told that my paperwork was never filed, and my request had never been sent. I began to develop really concerning side effects/pain and called them because of my concerns three more times. Same issue. Each time I apologize profusely for bothering to try to get any information. They had no empathy, care, information, or concern for me. I don’t hear back from them, but I see that they charge me $400 for Dr. Bodon’s two minutes months before. Finally, today, more than 5 months later I receive a call that the device I was interested in and that Dr. Bodon recommended was not available and that they could only proceed with the two devices I have no interest in. Its been infuriating beyond words, and I really concern for the woman that Dr. Bodon’s office has treated this way. Part of me wonders if she treats non-white clients this way and forces them into certain forms of contraception, they are not comfortable with. Her office is not client centered, trauma informed, or culturally competent. I would never trust Dr. Bodon with my body or family planning options. Shame on her and her office.

I love Doctor Bodon. The first visit was everything Ive been looking for in a Doctor. She is wonderful.Id love to tell you about the second visit, but Im finding it to be completely impossible to actually get through on their phone system to make an appointment. Ive left messages to call back, phone number to call back, and stayed on hold until the system just ends the call randomly.

Dr. BODON is nothing short of wonderful. She has such a calming demeanor and makes you feel comfortable enough to discuss anything. She always makes herself available for her patients and has never let me down. She has not only become my favorite doctor, but she is so intelligent that I rely on her for so much more than just OB issues. If you’re looking for a smart, available, reliable, loving doc you’ve found it!

I give a 2 star because Dr Boden herself is a great DR. I had surgery with her in July 2019 and now is Dec 2019, i have not heard from her or her office. I have called her and left messages a few days after surgery because i didnt know if my reactions were normal. I ended him going to Eisenhower ER which was so horrible i walked out after 4 hours of their crazyness. I left multiple messages with Dr Boden office to get an appmt for surgery follow up until now have not had anyone called me. I saw another gyn in Aug who said it looked like everything is healing nicely. Other than that i dont know how anything. After reading all these reviews it seems her staff is sabotaging her and her patients. Too bad. I hope someone tells her to read the reviews here.

My wife likes Dr. Boden very much, but the Palm Springs staff have driven her away. They never, ever, have answered the phone with anything else but please hold. We have held for over 15 minutes but they never come back on the line. Its a wonder that she stays in business when it is impossible to make an appointment.

Dr Bodon has delivered both of my children. ahe is by far the best doctor I have ever had. She genuinely cares for her patients and Their babies. She has made me feel so at home in her office. She has the best bedside manner and has made her self available at all hours, truly she goes above and beyond. Shes an incredible Dr. and person.

If I could give a lower rating I would.Lisa Boden is a incredible doctor, but its her staff in particular Denise who makes her appointments for surgery who should be fired.I got a ultrasound in February and made a consultation with Dr. Boden.The consultation was 110$ and she just took a look at my ultrasound and didnt exam me.She said it would be a wait, I was fine with waiting a month or two.I waited a month and called back trying to get scheduled for my surgery and left a message.Nobody got back to me for a month!I called and left another message and waited another month and left another message.I waited another month and couldnt leave a message because they put me on hold for over an hour.I called my doctor to complain, she couldnt believe its taking so long.Yet I still kept waiting...It has been 5 months since my ultrasound and my doctor has referred me to Dr.Jacome.Because its been 5 month, I had to get a new ultrasound 😠Denise resently called me and I told her it has been too long and I want my consultation money back!! She tried to give me some lame excuse as to why I cant, I just hung up on her.Denise you have no idea the torture of waiting you have put me through.I just want to recover the money I spent for a service that did not happen.This has been the worst medical experience of my life, that didnt even happen.

If you’re an OB/GYN patient DO NOT SCHEDULE! I informed the receptionist over the phone, in person, and her nurse why I scheduled my appt. No one informed me that Dr Bodon no longer sees OB/GYN patients. I waited 1.5 hrs at the office to see her just so she can tell me she can’t treat me. They billed my insurance and I also received an out of pocket bill. They will schedule you, not help you and charge you.

Danger!!! At first, I thought I finally found a gynecologist who can diagnose an ongoing issue of 2 years. She seemed to be my night and shining armor. She scheduled me for surgery 2 weeks after diagnosing me. She had me take 4 birth control pills a day to stop the bleeding.I Did so, HOWEVER, She kept rescheduling me. I waited 3 and a half months to finally have the surgery. I was overdosed on estrogen and later found out I expired during surgery and one of the 3 surgeries was never done because of compilations.I was.swnt home and 2 days later, I knew something was wrong. I called Bodins office 3-4 times a week as I kept getting more ill.Never once, did I get a returned call.This was May25th 2018 and today I am still on my way to healing.30 days later, I ended up in the ER, expiring again, due to complications from the surgery.BODIN was called multiple times by the Dr. who saved my life and he never received a call back the whole 10 days I was in the hospital.Still, to this day, not a word or a care but she sure did charge me and my insurance. My life is worth more than money...at least to me.

I am rating low because of the office personnel. I had a procedure done by Dr Bodon and 1 week later I was still bleeding heavily.1. First I called her Palm Springs office and had to leave a message which is fine. I did not receive a call back.2. The next day I called again and was sent to the message machine.3. I then called back and continued to press a number until I talked to a person. I asked her to please put me through to someone I could talk to about the bleeding. She transferred me to another number that I had to leave a message.3. I then called Dr Bodons Palm Desert office. I was transferred to another message machine.4. I called back and explained I needed to talk to a person because I was not getting call backs. I was transferred to a living person who said she would contact Dr Bodon and get back with me.5. I then received an automated message from Desert Advanced Imaging (DAI) Center saying I had an appointment scheduled for the nest day.6. I called DAI and was told I did not have an appointment scheduled.7. I then called Dr Bodons Palm Desert office again to find out if anyone had scheduled me at DAI. I talked to the desk and told I am never transferred to talk to a person (nurse) and to leave a message and they will call me back. I explained that I had talked to someone an hour ago and I needed to speak to a person. I was again told that was impossibe and that they would call me back.8. She transferred me but I actually got a PERSON named Alajondra who texted Dr Bodon and called back within 5 minutes to tell me the bleeding was not to be worried about.I have never had a problem like this when contacting a physician. I was very concerned and would have gone to the emergency room if I couldnt get an answer that day.As for Dr Bodon, she is friendly and so far as the surgery goes I dont know yet if all is well. If I dont have any complications i will up date my rating for HER to 5*

I was recommended to Dr. Bodon by a co-worker. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. She is the only doctor Ive found that actually listened and wanted to help me with my pain. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a doctor who truly cares about her patients. Schedule your appointment early as she is definitely in demand. Thank you Dr. Bodon and staff, I cant thank you enough for listening and taking such good care of me.

If you read the negative reviews they are about the office staff of this new facility not about Dr. Boden or her nurses that she’s had with her for a very long time. I have been seeing Dr. Boden for over 10 years and she is a lifesaver, literally. She delivered both my daughters and my first delivery could have been awful if it weren’t for her expertise. Now I am seeing her post pregnancies. Her expertise in her field as well as her bedside manner and follow up are impeccable. Her team, Maria and Andrea are the best! I couldn’t imagine using anyone else.

A true doctor who listens to her patients. She is progressive and bold about female health and goes over and beyond what most doctors do. I should add that Dr Bodon needs to have a good talk with the girls in the Palm Springs front office. They seem annoyed that they have to deal with patients. I wish they would learn how to be professional.

Dr. Bodens staff in Palm Desert is horrific. Utter incompetence and it must start with the physician herself. How else do you explain the large number of complaints on these sites about her staff with no action to accommodate patients. Ours is a horror story as we had to go elsewhere wasting months of valuable time since there was literally zero follow-up. My wife found out by a new physician that she has cancer. So devastating for our family.

Not very satisfied with this office. Its not so much the doctor but, the staff that seems to make a lot of mistakes and they dont admit or try to correct their mistakes. Will not be returning here. The staff took a urine sample and said they will send it out to get tested not realizing I have Kaiser insurance I guess the procedure is different and urine sample should have been given to me to take to Kaiser. No one, absolutely no one, called me to tell me! Waited more than 2 weeks and Im calling the office for the results and get nowhere. When they finally told me on December 4, they were unapologetic. She literally said anyone in the office could have told you Really? Ive called three times & couldnt get an answer as far as the results of my urine test! Absolutely horrible. Will not be returning here or the Palm Desert location.

I definitely recommend Dr Bodon for your gynaecology issues. I had an unusual situation and she was very thorough in her diagnosis. She met with me before and after surgery and made sure I was informed about the outcome.If you read the reviews you will see they are focused on the office personnel. I also wrote a 1 star for that reason. I would encourage you to see Dr Bodon in spite of the office personnel.

I first met Dr.Bodon when I was 23 and she did emergency surgery on me cause I had cysts that where just getting bigger and bigger, she saved my life and my uterus from being removed, she has a wonderful bedside manner, and before I forget she did the emergency surgery while being pregnant and ready to pop, sadly she doesnt take my insurance but I do call at least once a year to see if she does. Shes just so incredible.

As a parent I worry and want to protect my children even in their adult yers. When my baby girl got pregnant I was very happy and scared since my daughter has a heart condition. Dr. Bodon from the beginning explained what was going to be done and when. She gave my daughter direction and her complete attention on each visit. When it was time to deliver Dr.Bodon was at the hospital and was the only one checking my daughter which eliminated the chance for infection. At delivery she was so calm and encouraging. Today I have a beautiful grandson and my baby girl is strong and becoming a mother. I could never thank Dr. Bodon enough or ever give her enough praise. All I can say is THANK YOU and if your looking for a womens doctor who cares she is the one. Ansolutely amazing person and doctor.

I’m new to the area and needed to see an OBGYN. My sister mentioned Dr Bodon. I made my appointment for my annual pap. This towards the end of last year 2017. Got to the office waiting room crowded with men, children and women. I filled out my paperwork and waited. I was taken into the exam room and waited at least an hour. Now, I understand that an emergency can happen and one much wait. Finally, after hours wait, I got up to get dressed. Then what I thought was a nurse, came in Dr Bodon. I told her that I was just getting ready to leave, “am the slowest doctor” that was not a good sign. The speculum she used was plastic and pinch and was painful. “yeah, these plastic ones can pinch” so why in the hell use them?It is now 1/18 and have not received a result from my pap. I called her office this morning and I must wait for a nurse to call me with the results.I do not recommend Dr Bodon.

Dr. Boden is beyond compassionate and dedicated to her patients. She delivered both of my babies and has provided quality care with routine visits. Highly recommend

Lisa, delivered all four of our kids who are now 11, nine, seven, five. She is a wonderful and dedicated doctor and as good as she is as being at being a doctor she is equally great at being a wonderful human being and truly caring about her patients. Finally a Doctor that actually answers my questions. I have had nothing but bad luck with doctors since I have moved to Palm Springs. I wish she could be my primary doctor.

It actually brings me to tears how terribly i have been treated by the staff and NEVER getting a call from Dr Boden when requested. Surgery scheduling bungled to a shocking degree- no trying to make it right, no concern by Dr Boden. The oath of Do no harm does not apply here. Denise the monster in scheduling is a passive aggressive soul torturer.

I havent even been there yet, i have an appt with her tomorrow but if her staff is any indicication of how the visit will go i can only imagine. The ppl i spoke to over the phone were a bunch of jerks.

Horrible staff. Rude, incompetent, not worth the aggravation. Use another doctor.

Best OB/GYN out there! Shes attentive, caring, and listens to any and all concerns without making one feel rushed.

Dont ever see Dr. Bodon unless you are very pregnant. Listen to the recommendation of seeing a specialist and trust your instincts.

I would not go to anyone else but Dr. Boden.She is caring and treats the whole person.

Wont accept Blue Shield if it comes from Covered California. Very disappointed in doctors who dont support health care for all.
