Aguirre Specialty Care - Dr. Oscar Aguirre

I went to see Dr. Aguirre for a problem I had been suffering for years. I traveled more than 7 hours to see him. He scolded me for scheduling two appointments with two doctors in the same day. Made me feel terrible. He only softened when I told him how far away I lived and how I needed to optimize my time in Denver. I was disappointed in his lack of compassion or empathy toward me after showing him how much I was suffering. He is probably a wonderful help to women with pretty straight forward issues. I am a complex case and did not feel I would get the best care with him. I moved on.

Everyone in this office is amazing. From the front desk to the exam room, all the staff is professional and friendly. I will continue to see Dr Aguirre for all of my urology and gynecology problems and concerns. They take the time to listen to you and make sure you are well taken care of and know what your options are.

Dr Aguirre and his staff have been wonderful to work with these past few months. The nurses and office staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Aguirre provided me with all the information, answered all my questions, and then some, to make me confident with my decision to have surgery. My surgery was a great success and I feel so much better. I wish I would have met Dr Aguirre and had surgery 5 years ago!! The icing on the cake is that he is the closest urogynecologist to the Pueblo area, so it was easy to get the great quality of care I wanted.

My experience with Dr. Aguirre and his staff has been excellent. Everyone is kind and friendly, which went a long way to make me feel comfortable. No need to look anywhere else! This group is fabulous from the front desk to the scheduler to the medical assistant and finally to an MD with the knowledge and bedside manner I didnt know existed! Dr Aguirre turned a personal and somewhat uncomfortable situation into a very easy conversation about various options without being pushy. The entire office made my decision to have surgery with this practice a no-brainer! Im not looking forward to a surgery but if I need to have one....I am confident they will do everything to make it as smooth as possible.

I was referred to Dr. Aguirre by my regular gynecologist in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was well worth the 70+ mile drive to see Dr. Aguirre and work with his staff.I received an InterStim implant to help with my bladder and bowel control. The procedure was not complicated and there was almost no recovery. This implant has been a very positive experience and provided the help I needed.After this implant I had a minimally invasive outpatient pelvic prolapse repair. How grateful I am for the changes this surgery gave to my everyday life! Dr. Aguirres skills and expertise have truly blessed me. After a relatively short recovery period, I am back to my normal life and activities.Additionally, everyone at this office, from the front desk to the specialized nursing staff, was kind and very willing to help me along the way. They were always available for my questions and offered help and answers as I needed them.Many sincere thanks to this specialized medical practice.

Dr. Aguirre is amazing! My husband and I had done a lot of research before deciding to pick him to help me get back my pelvic area (after having 6 kids). His staff was so helpful in working with me, as I was coming from out of State (Utah) to see him specifically. I had virtual consultations, flew in to meet with him for an extensive exam, flew back in for surgery, and then a virtual appointment again. During my hospital stay, he visited me daily even though it was the weekend. He never was in a rush and took the time to answer all my questions. His staff knew me by name, and I was always able to speak with someone whenever I called or receive an email response fast. My recovery has been outstanding (has been 6 weeks) and am feeling like a new person. I am so happy that we found him and would recommend him to everyone, he is excellent!

I never realized the effects that giving birth vaginally could have on your body. If you are struggling with feeling normal downstairs or have a fistula after birth, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Aguirre. He was the first doctor after many that seemed to really understand what was going on and give me confidence that I could get back to where I was (or close) when I am done having babies. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and caring! I can’t tell you how appreciated that was - Thank you for not treating me like a number!

From consult to post op, Dr. Aguirre and his staff, were both professional and comforting. My procedure was very personal in nature which caused some additional anxiety. Dr. Aguirre is a first rate Specialty Card Doctor. I am very thankful to be his patient for 20 years now. I have had continence issues and have been so thankful for his care. His staff is especially helpful and kind, Jaqueline has been with me thru many bladder Botox injections. I now have an InterStim which has changed my life completely, no longer need Botox injections.If you have any feminine issues you only have to call and make an appointment. I first saw Dr. Aguirre about 8 years ago when I had Uterine prolapse. He solved my problem and I was 100% better. I just saw Dr Aguirre this month. I have been to numerous Drs in my lifetime. He went out of his way because I had driven over 2 hours in bad weather to see him. He took me ahead of other patients and gave my medication to cure my problem. He is the most professional Dr i have ever gone to. Truly he is genuine, kind and incredibly intelligent. I highly recommend him for all your female needs. Don’t waste you time going to someone who is not as knowledgeable and communicative as Dr Agguite.

I can personally testify that the positive comments in the previous reviews are a great representation of this doctor, his skill and his staff. I had been suffering with a severe uterine prolapse for quite some time. (I am 65) I was referred to Dr Aguirre by Dr Soriano at the Womens Clinic in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The entire staff were friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I wish I could name them all. Last week Dr. Aguirre performed a hysterectomy and a vault suspension repair to put my organs back in place. All of my plumbing is in great working order! I am so very happy with the result. The whole experience was positive even the post op recovery. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Aguirre. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! As others have said, Now I have my life back!

I have had the most amazing experience with all the staff at Aguirre Specialty Care! The front desk staff is phenomenal, the nurses Jacqui and Brandi are amazing and Dr. Aguirre is so sweet and incredibly talented. I had some very personal surgery and procedures done over the last year and it was everything that i expected and more. I just love everyone that works there and I hope they wont get tired of seeing me because Ill be coming back for some botox and laser and another O-shot. I cant thank them enough for all theyve done for me so far. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone for any of the procedures Ive had.

I chose Dr. Aguirre after discovering the wide range of medical care he would be able to provide. I didnt want to go to someone who only offered one or two options that may not have been able to help my condition. Seeing Dr. Aguirre was the best decision I could have made. ** Long Review - Worth the Read**Dr. Aguirre and his team are some of the most incredible healthcare providers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. As a medical professional myself and patient, I can tell you that you will never regret being in their care.I have struggled most of my life with very rare/unique medical conditions that inhibited my quality of life. I suffer with autoimmune issues, hormone deficiencies, chronic nerve pain and systemic endocrine and urinary problems.When I scheduled my appointment to see Dr. Aguirre, I thought I was just seeing another specialist- wasting my time and money to get written off yet again with no answers to my symptoms... in all honesty, I never thought I would actually find relief.When I arrived for my first appointment, I was greeted warmly and every staff member was professional, courteous and punctual. During my initial consult, Dr. Aguirre personally sat down with me and listened to my entire story/history (which is very long, complex and a nightmare). He was sympathetic, honest and an active listener and you could tell he really wanted to find the answer. Not to mention, he was the first physician of many that actually apologized for my pain and suffering.I am a 25 year old woman in menopause, that suffered from incontinence, chronic pyelonephritis, pelvic pain, discomfort/lack of sensation during intercourse.. you name it.. I had it. (Bizarre, right?)Throughout the course of 6 month and a few tests, Dr. Aguirre had a diagnosis and 2 different courses of treatment. He suggested I try an implant called Axonics which is a sacral nerve neurotransmitter (SNM). Normally, this is for men/women 65+ who suffer from incontinence, increased urinary frequency, pain etc.Due to my history of surgeries and failed attempts at a solution- I was hesitant.. more like terrified, to go through yet another procedure.Dr. Aguirre, his nursing staff specifically Jackie and Jodi, guided me and supported me in the process and really went above and beyond- showing nothing but excellent patient care, compassion and grace.This implant, changed my life..and it wasnt just a temporary fix.. this tiny little device will last upwards of 10-15 years of relief. It was worth every appointment. every exam and test.I am now close to being symptom free (as far as my urinary and endocrine issues go).. I never thought that I would come close to feeling this free again.. Dr. Aguirre is top in his field. He is the most compassionate, caring, doctor. He listened to all of my symptoms, asked questions and preformed a couple of test to justify and determine what was really going on with an overactive bladder I had for 25 years. He gave me 3 options that I could choose from. I choose the O Shot and it solved all of my bladder irritation sensations! I would highly recommend him and his office staff. They are extremely professional, punctual and gives a very high degree of service. From the front desk, to the nurses and your experience with Dr. Aguirre will be first quality. I have been a patient of Dr. Aguirre and recently consulted him regarding some issues with bladder incontinence. You know how it goes; you get a bit older--you begin to have a leak when you cough..or laugh..and then it is more of a problem--and soon you are wearing a pad.I had the interstim device implanted--after a trial run-in November. Since then, I no longer have misses--I rarely leak. It has given me a new freedom. Dr. Aguirres main concern is resolving my issues. He is so good.I would like to give kudos to Dr. Aguirre and his staff. They are so helpful, respectful and professional. I give them 5 stars.

As a former Register Nurse, I was having multiple issues from a past hysterectomy and a bladder suspension procedure from a different surgeon who specialized in women health issues.I was referred to Dr. Aguirre from other health care professionals. November 23, 2017. I wanted to post a new review but was only able to edit my previous review (keep scrolling down) so I am just going to add on. It has now been 19 months since I started going to Dr. Aguirre and Ive had three procedures and two rounds of CoolSculpt. I am still very happy with all the results, with the care I received before, during and after each appointment and I wouldnt consider going to anyone but Dr. Aguirre for any of the procedures he offers. I recommend him highly and am happy to share my fabulous results. And I love the staff!April 2017. I was very careful in my research and I can honestly say that when I eventually picked Dr. Aguirre and have now had the procedures and am two months out, I dont regret my decision at all. My main contact has been with his staff and they do all the following up and calling but I was very impressed when he answered my initial contact email personally, thanking me for my interest and saying that I would be contacted shortly by his staff, which I was. The office is tasteful, comfortable and it is all spotlessly clean. And the staff, both then and now that Ive come to know them better, were always delightful.I met with Dr. Aguirre that first day and liked him immediately. He was courteous, professional, compassionate and kind. He also has a good sense of humor, and I got the feeling that he genuinely cares which is important to me. In my pre-research I read all the reviews I could find, and only one was negative, suggesting that he was only out for the money. I did not get this impression at all. In fact, when I was asking about certain other procedures he actually discouraged me, saying I did not need them. I certainly did not get the feeling that he was pushing me to spend as much as possible, not did I get that impression from his office manager when we were talking about the financials. It is elective surgery (or my procedure was) and that is always expensive and I expected that. They have various payment options that were well explained and I did not feel uncomfortable with any of that side of the experience. They did tell me about everything they do and offer, and I did elect to have a couple more procedures in addition to the main one, but that was completely my choice and I never felt pushed. And I am very glad I did have them as the results are fabulous!The staff prepared me very well for everything that would happen and they followed up with me, as well as always getting back to me when I called if I didnt get them right away. Brandi and Jacqui are both excellent and I felt and feel completely comfortable in their care.I chose to write a review since I depend on them so heavily myself and for the same reason I am always as straightforward in my reviews as possible. I notice that since I did my research there has been a negative review posted, and in fairness, even if I had read it, I would have still gone with my decision to go to Dr. Aguirre. I have learned over the years that one bad review is not always indicative, and if it is strongly outweighed by the positive, as this is, to not base my decision on one review. The review in question does not sound at all like my experience with Dr. Aguirre and his staff. Although granted I had a different procedure, they are very careful to make sure you understand the risks and possible problems. They do have waivers to sign but that is standard and I didnt resent it at all. Wendy was very up front with me that in the event of cancellation I would only receive 50% of my money back and I accepted that. I feel as long as everything is disclosed, and it was, it is then your choice to proceed or not.Let me end by saying that I was extremely happy with everything about my experience with Dr. Aguirre and his staff and that not only will I highly recommend him, I plan on going back for follow up procedures and skin treatment. I had been having severe unbearable pain in my pelvic, back, thighs, and abdominal area for years as a result of a trans vaginal/bladder mesh implant surgery. The pain has been on-going for years since the original surgery. There were other complications as well. I have seen multiple specialists and undergone many treatments with no relief. My overall state of health as well as my relationships with family and friends had been drastically impacted. I had no quality of life as a result. I was hopeless, as the pain and inability to engage in life’s activities became increasingly unbearable. Recently I was referred to Dr. Oscar Aguirre. Sue and her sister Jeanine, a dear friend of the family told us about Dr. Oscar Aguirre in Denver, Colorado and the positive outcome Jeanine had. So I scheduled an appointment with him. He was my last hope. After a consultation, he explained to me the complications being caused by my mesh and the options I had, as well as the removal procedure in detail. I elected to have my trans vaginal/bladder mesh removed by Dr. Oscar Aguirre. His staff was very compassionate and informative. They were all quite pleasant. I am so elated about the outcome of my surgery. My pain level and mobility improved immediately. What a difference! I am forever grateful to Dr. Oscar Aguirre and his team. When I called to make my 1st apt, I was a wreck from being so worn out and about to give up with every feeling health again. Dr. Aguirres front staff was so kind and talked me through the process of making an apt., I had been in so much pain at this point and every Doctor I called told me I was to much of a complex case to work with. Dr. Aguirre did not give up though! When I walked into my apt I was so sacred I held back my emotions that was until he told me he thinks he could help and fix the damage that was done, I cried knowing finally the was light at the end of the tunnel. I had surgery 1 month later! I was able to go back to work in a week and at my post op apt. I was over the moon when we discovered my pain was finally gone!!!!!! I cant thank Dr. Aguirre and his staff enough for giving me my life back. While I am still healing I have never felt better!!! I had been having significant issues with pelvic laxity for over 10 years; cystocele, vagicele, enterocele and rectocele. I finally decided to have an evaluation and treatment in 2015. This started with another healthcare provider 2 years ago who offered “just urinate more often”. I found Dr. Aguirre last year, had a complete evaluation, but due to circumstances with insurance, finances and the ability to take time off work was not able to have surgery until a year later (9/2017). Dr. Aguirre and his staff were very accommodating to my needs including re-doing several prior authorizations for testing. I am a medical provider with 23 years of experience and I cannot say that I have had better care and his office sets an example of excellent medical professionalism. I needed special accommodations in my management due to another health issue and this was taken seriously by both Dr. Aguirre and my anesthesiologist; I came through without even a hint of the serious complications that could have arisen if they had not been so caring and diligent. Thank you Dr. Aguirre and staff for your expertise.

I have been going to Dr. Aguirre for 15 years. I first came to him after having problems with two different urologist for bladder spasms and leaking problems. I have to travel 2 1/2 hours for my visits, but it has been well worth it. Dr. Aguirre repaired a problem I had from another Dr. and found some other problems I was having and recommended me to Dr. Sun where I had rectal surgery to correct the problems. Then I was one of his first patients to receive an InterStim implant for my bladder issues. I am now on my third implant (the batteries only last so long) and would never go without it again, I have had great results with the InterStim, no more bladder spasms and my leaking problem is 90% better, not perfect but so much better. Then last fall when I was in for a checkup on my implant Dr. Aguirre told me about the O-Shot and laser treatment that helps with bladder leaking. I decided to do the treatment and have my hormone levels tested. I had a total hysterectomy when I was 26 and have not been on hormone replacement for 20 years. I am 63 and after having the O-Shot, laser treatment and hormones prescribed for what I needed, I cant believe how much better I feel. I have had dryness in the vaginal area since I was married (44 yrs.) and had a hard time with sexual arousal. After my treatments I cant believe how much better my sex life is. I wish they had this 40 years ago, but glad I found it now. My emotions or better now and I am not as tired and it has helped some with what little bladder leaking I still have. I recommend Dr. Aguirre to anyone having bladder, sexual, or hormonal issues. He is a great Dr. and I have enjoyed having him for my Dr. for all these years.

I had seen Dr. Aguirre several times prior to the spring of 2017. (A former patient, which is significant). I have insurance. And very very good insurance. My bills have always been paid immediately. But!! In 2017 I was not allowed to see Dr. Aguirre even with insurance and a wallet full of cash unless I forfeited a credit card. I do not have credit cards. I just needed to have a conversation with him. There were no services rendered. I did not see him or talk to him. And was told to leave if I didn’t have a credit card. I left. But they did cash my office visit copay. So buyer, responsible insurance payer or paying in cash beware! I HAD always held Dr Aguirre in highest regards professionally. And I really really needed his help. But apparently he does not abide by his sworn oath in medicine. I was going to write to the state medical board. But refusing to see patients WITH insurance and cash has no basis. Sad very sad.

Dr aguirre is a compassionate person who is amazing in his profession. Ive had two procedures done so far and both of them were successful in every aspect. He is the best. His staff is also great. Love everything and everyone in this facility. I highly recommend you going to him. He is trustworthy and you wont regret anything.

Going in for an exam was something I have been wanting to do for a long time, but the closer the appointment got, the less I wanted to actually go. Waking up early on my day off for a long drive for this appointment started to sound like the last thing I wanted to do. After some encouragement on the phone though, the appointment has now come and gone and I am so impressed with what a flawless and comfortable experience it ended up being thanks to Dr. Aguirre and his staff.

5 Stars, no doubt. I had to have a complex surgery that I was very lnervous about. Dr. Agurrie has great bedside manner and took his time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions (a lot of surgeons don’t do that). My surgery was a success and I’ve healed wonderfully! More proof given that he is number one and is still leading his field. Great staff too! My favorites were nurse Jackie and Wendy. They went above and beyond their duties to make sure I was taken care of. Your tops ladies! Dr. A was pretty cool too ;) As an owner of two medical practices myself, I was very impressed and pleased with the overall practice. I chose Aguirre Specialty Care recently for a fat reduction technique called CoolSculpting. Andrea, who serves both as an administrative assistant and as a Certified CoolSculpting Specialist, was absolutely fabulous. While in the waiting room I noticed her super friendly and accommodating demeanor toward everyone so I was pleased when they assigned her to me for my CoolSculpting treatments. The treatments can be a tiny bit painful, but she helped ease the pain with her cheerfulness and expertise. It’s only been four weeks since my first treatment and I am already seeing great results! Andrea, along with the entire staff, was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing their services.

Be careful, they are very aggressive in scheduling/suggesting procedures. I went in for pelvic floor incontinence evaluation and the doctor also attempted to sell me on non related treatments like vaginal rejuvenation. When I decided to wait on a surgical procedure for pelvic floor incontinence I later received a bill for $500 for cancellation of surgery. I called the office to discuss this charge and after SIX phone calls over a months time and messages left with the front desk asking to speak with the office manager and no attempts on their part to call me back, I finally called and got a hold of the office manager. She was abrupt dismissive and rude and when I told her that I would never utilize Dr. Aguirres practice in the future nor recommend them to anyone else, her response was Thats not fair! which seemed very unprofessional to me. Isnt the customer always right? Not with them! Never again.

This is for all of you who have suffered with bladder issues for longer than you can remember, like I did.I finally sought a doctors help in Colorado Springs. He had me try Myrbetriq with absolutely no results. He then suggested Interstim which I tried with zero results. Regardless of that he wanted me to continue on with phase two. I refused and quit seeing him thinking I would just live with it. Well..... It continued to get worse until I couldnt stand it any longer.I decided to go to the internet in search of a doctor. I came across Dr. Aguirre. What intrigued me about Dr. Aguirre was that he is a Urogynecologyst. I thought to know both fields was a real plus. I made an appointment. After going over my history, he suggested Interstim. YIKES!!! Not again I thought. But Dr. Aguirre was very patient, kind and took the time to explain and show me why he believed Interstim would work. It made sense. I trusted him and went for it. Just a week in and I have between 50-75% improvement!Dont continue to suffer. Make an appointment with Dr. Aguirre and let him show you how and why Interstim can work for you. You can trust Dr. Aguirre!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Aguirre’s Aguirre Specialty Care for approximately 5 years. He, and his staff, have always been welcoming and helpful. He did a sacrolpopexy (I don’t even know what this is) I just call it “stopping me from peeing all the time” and it worked!!! However, what I really want to tell you about is putting a small battery in my back and giving me a controller for my purse. When he told me about this, I didn’t think it would work. However it now controls my bowels. It tells me when I’m going to go! If any of you have this problem, give me a call. I’m now able to go out every day, do whatever I want and play bridge without worrying that I’ll make a mess. Also I can sleep all night without worrying I’ll make a mess.I’m sure I didn’t use the correct words for the procedures he did on me. However I thoroughly want to say THANK YOU DOCTOR AGUIRRE.

I feel as if the clinic and the doctor are there to bring in as much money as possible, more in the aesthetics arena than making sure that the person is taken care of on a spiritual, mental and physical level. I was not at all satisfied with his BHRT, he could never get it right. He recommends options that are a waste of time and MONEY. I would call when I was experiencing issues and it would take a week or LONGER for him to respond. Go in with your eyes wide open, and make sure you ask all pertinent questions. Do your homework!

Dr Aguirre is an amazing surgeon. He knows what he is doing and does it well. Just follow his instructions and you will be fine.
