Total Mens Primary Care - Plano Preston

I recently visited Total Mens Primary Care and had a really nice experience from start to finish. Scheduling an appointment was incredibly easy, and I appreciate not having to fill out countless pages of information beforehand. The staff was friendly and efficient, and I was seen by the practitioners quickly. She was attentive, professional, and addressed all my concerns in a timely manner. The entire process was smooth and stress-free.

Fast and easy check in. In fact the whole experience was very easy. I don’t go to the doctors often and forgot to fast on my first visit so I had to reschedule. Everyone was very polite and no one was rude to me about my mistake. Felt like a very easy place to visit all around especially as someone who doesn’t do doctors visits very often.

Extremely rude front staff. She told me to hurry up and give her my insurance card because the office was closing in 15 minutes for lunch. If you close at 1 for lunch why do book appointments for 12:45? I just turned around and walked out.

The customer service at the Plano/Preston Office was excellent. The Nurse Practitioner and the receptionist provided great customer service. . Both very helpful a billing issue.

Comfortable environment with Friendly staff. If you are needle shy this is the place to go! Never felt the stick when they took blood for work up. For me is really about the convenience. No more sitting around waiting. They get you in and out quickly. You don’t have to compromising to get great healthcare at Total Men’s.

Front desk staff seemed disinterested in providing customer serviceThe nurse practitioner on site seemed like she did not want to be there, and seemed like she was more concerned with fitting in as many people as possible instead of answering my questions. Seemed to hurry me up instead of taking the time to answer my concerns.Overall, the experience was very saddening and I do not recommend this place to anyone

The staff were pleasant and effective! They got me in and out with no delays. If you complete the preliminary paperwork it does make your visit quicker. I had a great experience with Total Men’s Primary Care.

Appreciated how quickly I can make an appointment and be seen. In my experience, you have to book weeks or months in advance with most medical clinics. I only went for my annual Physical but appreciate how thorough they were.

I stopped by this Total Men (even as a woman) because it was one of the only locations where I could find a rapid Covid test before NYE. Booking an appt online was easy and straightforward. The clinic is clean, organized, and even provided drinks and snacks (like, really nice snacks: cheetos, ms Vickie’s, valley grain bars, sodas, La Croix, Gatorade, coffee, etc) in the waiting room. The staff was professional and quick; I was in and out within 10 minutes, and received my results within 45 minutes. Would definitely recommend!

Very quick and efficient. I was able to walk in as a new patient and book an appointment within days. The process was easy, and simple. The appointment was thorough, and my provider was very personable, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I would recommend Total Men’s Plano for anyone looking for a primary!

Friendly staff. Felt like I was listened too and that the team was trying to help me out. As a new patient the process for getting established is super easy. Quick online form and then the team asked me questions directly, no long wait with a clipboard filling out 5 pages of paperwork.

So convenient, great doctors and staff, who are always friendly and helpful. The offices are very comfortable, as well as in-person visits, they also offer tele-health visits, which are incredibly convenient and affordable. If you need a great doctor, and have a tight schedule, they maybe perfect for you, too.

This site was very friendly. I had to bring my 6 yo daughter along. The desk staff was very cordial. The nurse and practitioner talked with my daughter and showed her what they were doing ( BP, HR etc). I felt the practitioner was very good and thorough. I will be visiting this location again

Did well but ended up doing extra procedure during my physical that is not covered by insurance without telling me.

We are new to Plano area and found trying to move doctors a difficult and confusing task , particularly prescriptions. Need aPrimary Physician to pull everything together and make sure re fills were handled. Renuka was very understanding a professionally took charge and put things in order.

Thought this would be the go to place...... the Dr. Is awesome! However, their billing needs a vast overhaul improvement. It is very simple. I pay you and get a receipt. Except, i come back only to be told i have a balance and my payment must of fallen off.... what?????

After seeing their commercial thought I would give it a try. My experience was exceptional. No one with runny nose babies waiting in the lobby. The check in was quick and easy and the waiting area was stocked with assorted drinks and snacks. After a short wait my needs were listened too and quickly a plan was devised and I was happily on my way. Im actually looking forward to my next visit.!

I had a good experience with my initial visit for an annual physical exam. I was feeling tired and in a funk. Along with the normal blood work, they included a testosterone panel. My insurance fully covered the cost of the visit. They scheduled a follow-up to review my results.I received an email to write a 5-star Google review. The instructions said to call them if I wanted to leave any review other than 5-stars. Since I had a good initial experience, I wrote a 5-star review.Prior to the follow-up visit, I received an email with a link to a portal that contained my blood work and serum testosterone results. Everything was within the normal ranges.At the follow-up, my serum testosterone was 399. It was on the low end of the normal range of 300-1000. Michelle, the physician’s assistant, offered to start me on testosterone injections (around $200/month and not covered by insurance) or return for a 2-month follow-up to retest my testosterone. I chose the latter option. They charged me $77 for the visit, which felt like a sales pitch.At the 2-month follow-up, my serum testosterone was at 280. I was feeling better, despite the blood work showing a lower testosterone level. Michelle said that since I was feeling better, I didn’t need the testosterone injections. They charged me another $77 for the follow-up.I had a bad feeling when I came back for the first follow-up. It felt like I paid $77 to sit through a sales pitch. First, they didn’t measure my free testosterone, which helps to get a more accurate assessment of a person’s testosterone levels. Second, instead of recommending a second opinion with an endocrinologist, they offered testosterone injections as a primary treatment. Michelle failed to disclose the risks of these injections, which include an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Also, she failed to disclose that the standard of care dictates the indication for use of testosterone injections as a first-line therapy is for patients with primary hypogonadism. This condition must be verified by an endocrinologist. This is why I felt a bad feeling about this experience.It seems like this company’s business model is to sell subscriptions for testosterone injections that have documented life-threatening side effects, using a single blood marker, and no co-management with an endocrinologist. I won’t be coming back.

Just moved to Plano, near family. I need a primary physician as I have Type 2 Diabetes, Gout, and such. In Seattle, I had a clinic I came to trust.That’s what I felt on my first appointment at Total Men’s Primary Care, TRUST. I’ve found my new “home” in more than one way!

Renuka and her team always do a wonderful job! The appointments are through and quick, the location is super clean and close to our home.

Eh not a great experience.1. I submitted everything through the online portal (Pre-Forms, Insurance etc...)I was called and told my insurance was not correct - I was out running errands and I drove all the way home to validate it, called my insurance company etc... I pretty much gave up on that and just went in for my appointment and again was told it wasnt right.After about 10min waiting and trying to convince the person behind the counter I really did have insurance she came back to me and was like Oh, I had someone else run it and it worked now completely ignoring that I just spent 2 hours of my life thinking it was on my end. :(But yay thats out of the way -- I am seated in a waiting room with the door open (no big deal). But I hear yelling across the hall YOU HAVE A PATIENT IN ROOM 1 The reply: Ugh.... I knowLike I can hear you....She comes in, and is honestly pretty friendly -- no real complaints. This was my first physical so its kinda a bummer nothing was really explained to me. But I asked and she answered so that was fine.Doctor came in and was super nice. No complaints there.I got an email saying my stuff was done and ready to review, but no button or link to know where to go and see it -- I had to call and figure that out.I was told someone would call me and review my results. Nobody did....For someone doing this for the first time, it was a big bummer to really just be left high and dry throughout the process.I do not think ill be going back to this location.

Great experience on every visit. Very patient and understanding of concerns. They helped me identify a customized health plan that met my needs and goals. Very clean and convenient facility. Unlike other clinics or hospitals, I didn’t have to spend hours waiting to be checked-in, to see a nurse, or to be examined by the physician. I look forward to their future services and my improved well-being.

Friendly, fast and professional. I not a big fan of visiting the Dr, but I had to today. The online check in process was quick and easy. When I arrived, 30 mins before my appointment, by choice. I was immediately checked in and was seen in 10 minutes. I was in an out before my scheduled appointment time. Thank you for making this experience a positive one.

I had a 9:35a appointment for a COVID test and they got me right in! In fact, I got there around 9:25 and they brought me back by 9:30. The facility is super clean and everyone was nice! I really liked the nurse that did the actual COVID test on me; she was really easy to talk to and made the process effortless! I’ll definitely come back here if I need anything - it’s way better than having to go to a minute clinic or wait awhile on your primary physician.

Not one who likes to see doctors, or have blood (or anything else!) drawn, the staff here were exceptional at making me feel welcome and at ease. They explained everything in terms easy to understand. And they’re waiting room has soft drinks and snacks! Definitely a place I recommend if you need a primary care physician.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Glad I gave it a try, from the time I walked in to leaving everything went smoothly. Very detailed, made sure I was onboard and understood what they were doing throughout my visit. Everyone there was pleasant and present. I felt like a valued patient and not just a number.

It was my first visit to Total Men’s Primary Care. As a first appointment/evaluation, I felt they were pretty thorough - asking many questions about me and my families medical history. The actual evaluation was also pretty in depth. I was little surprised to find that at a healthcare facility focused on men, that there were apparently no men working there. This is not a complaint, just an observation. I think the effect of that is perhaps not feeling 100% comfortable talking about things. However, overall, I was satisfied with the service.

1. Convenient.2. Appointment was at 11;15 pre-registered on line. Had to register again after arriving.3. Atmosphere was sterile. For men it should be designed around men. This is no different than an urgent care clinic setting. Lots of opportunities to improve the atmosphere.4. The medical assistant drew blood and was very good.5. I wasnt aware I was seeing an NP instead of an MD. That should be made clear when making the appointment.6. The NP however was really good.Overall good and convenient but nothing sets them apart. When I think of Total Mens care I had different expectations. I have over 25 years experience In healthcare and I was hoping to see program geared for Men with a mans atmosphere.

Excellent care and knowledgeable, courteous staff. From fitting us last minute on a Friday after work, to making us feel right at home with a snack and beverage room to make the whole visit seamless and efficient. Follow-up care and the best medical staff smiling and making it personable the entire time. They make you feel like family! I’d recommend them to anyone looking for the best quality care, flexible hours, and they can get you in today when you call!

Went here for a COVID test and it was very easy to book my appointment, just make sure you provide all the pertinent information prior to arrival. Once checked in the process was quick and simple. Very friendly staff, easy to locate, and very convenient.

Wow! Talking about over the top, outstanding, and friendly caring service! Total Mens Primary Care Preston Plano is Amazing!I was so sick and needed to go somewhere for a sick appointment as well as a Coronavirus test. I could only get in at this facility an hour away from my home(Keller to Plano). The entire staff from check in to nurse Donna to the physician Michelle, just everyone was fantastic. I received the BEST bedside manner and thorough thought out care concerning my situation. I will was happy to have taken that hour drive. Preston Plano Total Mens Primary Care YOU ROCK!! Came here to get a rapid covid test and was very satisfied with the services ! Not a long wait, they had you in and out and took most insurances. Had my results within 30 minutes. My provider luckily told me about this facility bc I needed a negative test to go back to my doctor. Great staff and services !

My appointment went very well. The staff was very nice and understanding. I felt like they actually cared about my well-being. They went beyond to ensure I received the level of care I needed with some of the most compassionate bedside manner I’ve experienced.

This place is really efficient. I’ve had Covid tests at two locations now. I had appointments so I was in and out of there in ten minutes. It’s even faster once you are in the system. Got my results both times within 30 minutes.

I had difficulties to find test site for Covid 19. Mens Primary had a number of openings to choose from. The appointment was very quick, the registration and the test took less than 15 minutes. The staff is very receptive and polite. Very, very satisfied!

Went here for a COVID test. Accidentally went to the wrong location, but they still took care of me. Had my temperature checked, heart rate checked, and test done all within 10 minutes. Results came 30 minutes after. Love the concept and how theyre helping out during the pandemic! Give them a try!

I came with my son and was offered a cash to include CBC and CMP. They did not call my son with his lab results and we have to call them several times. Ended with an additional bill of $238 for the mid-level to call the result ( which they forgot to call) and $500+ for the laboratory tests that was supposed to be included.

Went there for COVID testing. The online scheduling was efficient, and once I arrived for my appointment there was minimal wait. Althought they dont prescribe meds, they sent me home with treatment instructions. I had gone to a different urgent care clinic a few days prior and they refused to test or treat. I would recommend Total Mens for a good COVID testing experience.

Went back desperate for some testosterone after being off low-t treatment for a year but, all I got was a hard time from the PA on duty. I cant recommend this place. I do however highly, highly recommend an Endocrinologist as that was my next stop. Sent me home with prescription I picked up same day 6 shots and needles. BAM!

I couldnt get a covid test anywhere without waiting hours and a friend shared the link to Total mens primary Care. They confirmed my appointment sent me several reminders and were very professional upon my arrival. Never have I sat in a doctors office with my pick of soft drinks, snacks, etc.I felt better and brought a bigger purse well, you know lol!The PA was amazing and gave me 100% attention. She put me at ease and was very understanding. Like Taylor Swifts song, If I were a man, Id continue coming here!❤️

Both times i went here to get Covid testing, once at the Addison location and yesterday at the Plano Preston location. The staff is very nice and get you in and out in a flash. Total Mens made every other Primary Care office Ive been to in the past seem outdated. New Patient forms can be completed quickly on your phone via QR code, they have a nice snack area for patients who are ready to break their fasts & there was no long wait to be seen. When I was seen, the team of Jennifer & the 2 Michelles were great. Friendly, engaged & didnt make me feel rushed, so I was able to remember all the questions Id forgotten to ask other providers in the past. I highly recommend this location for your primary care needs.

I went for a Covid test and the appointment was sooo easy to make online, and soo fast! I was in and out in a matter of 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient. The location was clean and well kept, they even offer snacks!

My 75 year old father literally has a team of Doctors at UTSW. My dad caught a terrible respiratory infection and his GP couldn’t get him in for a week! I was worried he had early stages of pneumonia. I was able to get him in at Total Men’s PC same day at the Plano location. The facility was so clean, and the medical staff was very thorough with a kind eagerness to help my dad. They took very good care of him. I am grateful they were there for us.

Came here for a physical after having a bad experience trying to find a primary care physician at your “typical doctor’s office”. Found an appointment here same day and the experience was fantastic. Facilities are very clean as well. Completely comfortable coming here for primary care from here on out!

I’ve visited MTH 5-6 times since Covid started and they’re by far the best testing facility out there! You walk in and you’re greeted then they quickly get you to a room to be tested and then you’re on your way. Within 30 minutes you have the results and go on about your day. I would highly recommend MTH to anyone looking for a quick, professional experience!

Friendly and helpful staff. Digital patient check in that is done from your phone. Quick anf easy testing, results through text message in about 30 min. I just needed a covid test bc my friends coworker got it and therefore I may have been exposed, but the results were negative and everything is all good!

I was able to get an early morning same day appointment. The staff was courteous and professional. Both medical and financial issues were resolved efficiently and satisfactorily and with the expected follow-up. I wish all medical practices worked this way.

Easiest place for you COVID testing needs that takes insurance and actually has appointments available same day or walk in. They also take females as well. People forget that because its its a mens clinic but that means its not booked up. Would highly recommend for anyone needing a test for the holidays.

I came here for a covid-19 antigen test and was able to get a appointment here earlier than other options like CVS or Walgreens. Even though it says Total Mens anyone can go for a covid test. Confirm your insurance is accepted as the tests are pricey otherwise. I was in and out in under 15 minutes.

Went in for PCR Covid test for upcoming travel and we were seen quickly with results texted to us in less than 20 minutes. Great service and so such friendly staff!

Super easy booking and waiting process for a Covid test. They gave me an information page in case it came back positive including vitamins to take, places to get an infusion, etc. which was more than I got from other testing sites
