Dr. Stoelk and his staff are the best! He was able to help put my mind at ease, and somehow allowed me to relax. I have a tendency to over research and bog myself down with overloads of information, and at one point during one of my many questions, he just smiled and said, “why don’t you let us worry about all that, that’s our job, the only thing you need to think about is staying relaxed, happy, and healthy,” it was said with such a genuine caring nature, that it was exactly what I needed to hear to allow myself to let go. I was lucky enough to go through only one IVF cycle, and had success with the first implantation. She is 3 months old, a happy and healthy baby. I will be back for number 2 at some point. Honestly, the only thing that could have made this experience better would have been if I could have stayed the entirety of my pregnancy, switching back to my OBGYN after the successful implantation was a culture shock. Dr. Stoelk is so encouraging, supportive and positive that it made me see what I was missing with my OBGYN.

I recently had a consultation with Dr. Stoelk, and even though Im just beginning the process, I was immediately struck by his compassion. I am looking forward to updating my review and sharing my success story, but so far, my experience with Melodi and Dr. Stoelk has been exceptional.Melodi ensured my consultation costs were covered by insurance. She is very kind and responsive, even responding to my inquiries on her day off. Dr. Stoelk, on the other hand, is extremely caring and patient. He spent a full hour going over my medical history without rushing or dismissing my questions. This was a stark contrast to my previous experiences with other specialists who often rushed through consultations.At OHSU, I felt unheard and didnt have the opportunity to share my history, especially concerning our miscarriages. However, Dr. Stoelk thoroughly reviewed each loss to help identify potential causes. Despite my stage 4 endometriosis, which is currently asymptomatic, he didnt push for unnecessary surgery. Instead, he suggested a fresh transfer to observe my bodys response and is willing to adjust my care plan as needed.I am truly grateful to have found Dr. Stoelk. Although no one can guarantee a child, having a kind, compassionate specialist who genuinely cares makes all the difference in the IVF journey. My experience with Dr. Stoelk and Melodi has been wonderful, and I feel blessed to have been guided to them.

By far, it is the best fertility center you can go to. I felt extremely lucky to have this clinic in my town. Dr. Stoelk is very knowledgeable, personable, and good at what he does. I know at least 5 kids who were born bc of IVF through Dr. Stoelk. So, i didn’t have any doubt that he would succeed in my process as well. Now, i am 9 weeks pregnant. I have friends in other cities that are really struggling to find someone that they like and trust. So we are very blessed to have Dr. Stoelk in town. Its also great that hes the only doctor that you see, so you build trust and know you wont be seen by different doctors every time.

I saw some other reviews regarding weight and the way they were treated by NW Fertility. I had a meeting with Dr. Stoelk as a overweight, single/solo mama trying to get pregant. I never felt judged on my dreams. He did mention losing weight would give me the best outcome. But this was nothing new to me. That is scentific facts. I lost a bit of weight and had a handful of failed IUIs. We switched the game plan and I got pregnant after my first IVF transfer with twins, as a plus size person. This was also during the pandemic between lock downs and the extra hurdles. They are now 2.5 years old and healthy. The entire staff from the nurses to front desk support were amazing during my journey.

Dr. Stoelk and his team are amazing! My husband and I had been trying for 11 years to have baby. We had gone to other fertility clinics and no one could diagnose what was wrong. They all kept saying we were healthy. It was Dr. Stoelk who listened to all my symptoms and diagnosed me with endometriosis. After having the surgery to remove my endometriosis we still weren’t having any luck. We decided to do IVF and it worked! Our miracle baby was born in April. We loved working with Dr.Stoelk and his team. They are so nice and caring I felt so comfortable there. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Stoelk for any fertility issues. We can’t wait to go back again to try for our second baby.

After 4 years of trying, my husband and I are just starting the 2nd trimester of our pregnancy thanks to Dr. Stoelk and his team.Dr. Stoelk is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He always took the time to answer my phone calls or call me back personally to discuss any questions or concerns I had. He never made me feel rushed or stupid. I was treated as a person and Dr. Stoelk individualized my care to get the best results possible.Melodi (I believe she would be considered the office manager), in addition to being very kind and compassionate, is organized and on top of the insurance billing which took a lot of the stress and burden off our shoulders.Rebecca, the front desk receptionist, is sweet and always a lovely welcoming presence.Olivia, the MA, is professional and knows what she is doing. She gave great tips and tricks to help me get through some difficult procedures.Overall, this clinic was an incredible place to receive care for something that is so difficult, both emotionally and physically. I am grateful to have worked with these wonderful people and look forward to returning for baby number two!

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Stoelk and his team. I was ignored by my OBGYN with my concerns of not being able to get pregnant and decided to reach out to Dr. Stoelk after a year and a half of trying. He was able to diagnose me over the phone just by my symptoms that I told my OBGYN. I did a quick surgery with Dr. Stoelk and the following month I got pregnant!!! I was in disbelief. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy due in March. Dr. Stoelk was very patient with me over the phone, answering all my questions and called to check on me after surgery. When I first found out I was pregnant he was able to get me in right away to test and make sure my HCG levels were rising. He also got me in quickly for an early first ultrasound which was so special.Dr. Stoelk’s team is also top notch. Very responsive and answer their phones right away. Melodi is also a rockstar and could answer all my billing questions over text. She was able to let me know how much everything would cost with insurance which was so helpful!I joked with my husband that I wished Dr. Stoelk was also an OBGYN because he and his team took such good care of me.THANK YOU!!! 😊

No words to express my gratitude to Dr. Stoelk. Hes the lucky charm for me, he gave me some medication for a month and I got pregnant the following month. All of the staff members - Melody, Tina and the nurse were super helpful, and responded to all my messages and calls within a few minutes, literally. Dr. Stoelk personally called me several times on my cell to patiently clarify any doubts that I had. His compassion and vast experience really helped us through this journey. My fiancé and I started our journey with NW fertility In early February of 23’. I had been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (I’m 32), and my dreams and hopes of being a mother felt crushed and shattered. Dr. Stoelk got us in promptly after seeing my numbers and quickly restored my hope and faith. After several months of treatment we tried an IUI and got pregnant on the first try ! We are now 12 weeks, healthy and thriving. Dr Stoelk and his team are incredibly compassionate and personable, I feltVery well taken care of.

After 13 years of trying all kinda of treatments, medications, 9 IUIs and IVFs. Finally We found Dr Stoelk who helped us and now my wife is 8 weeks pregnant. Dr stoelk and his team were very helpful. I found Dr. Stoelk after reading amazing reviews online. I was a bit hesitant but decided to give it a try after having a horrible and unprofessional experience at OHSU. During our first meeting, Dr. Stoelk actually listened to my concerns and he gave me a light of hope. I felt completely comfortable and in good hands since day one. Going through IVF has definitely been the hardest thing I have ever done...but it was so worth it! It took three rounds, I now have a healthy six month old baby girl. Dr. Stoelk and his staff were always very communicative, caring and professional. He always explained things in a way I could understand and offered alternatives. Our experience with Dr. Stoelk and the staff at NWFC (Melodi, Tina, etc) were fantastic from the beginning to the end! My husband and I had an initial phone consultation with Dr. Stoelk in June 2021. He took the time to listen to our story and struggle with getting pregnant and answered all our questions very thoroughly. After the phone consultation, we felt at ease and decided to move forward with our trying to conceive journey with Dr. Stoelk. We tried two IUIs before deciding to move forward with IVF even though we knew the likelihood of us getting pregnant from IUI was low. In Sep 2021, we started the process for IVF, and after having our embryos tested by a third party vendor, we did an embryo transfer in early Dec and found out we were pregnant on 12/20/21. It was the best Christmas gift ever!! Since then, we had two ultrasound appointments with Dr. Stoelk at 7 week and 9 week, and graduated from NWFC at the end of January 2022. At my last appointment with Dr. Stoelk, he gave us small gifts and a hug! He is such a genuine and sweet person. I highly recommend him and NWFC to anyone who’s struggling from infertility.After 9 months, I’m happy to report that I had my beautiful son on 8/24/22. My husband and I were so happy with the experience we’ve had with NWFC; we’d definitely go back to Dr. Stoelk if we decide to try for a second child. I would also add that Melodi who handles billings and appointments & Tina who handles everything related to the IVF process were extremely nice and helpful. Overall, our experience with Dr. Stoelk and NWFC was 10 out of 10!

We cannot express enough the immense gratitude for the positive experience we had with Dr. Stoelk and his team. Great communication and teamwork. We were long-term patients with the team through the ups and downs of trying to conceive. We werent always patient as one is always excited to graduate to the next step; but we are thankful that we had Dr. Stoelk by our side- he truly had our best interests at heart through it all.

Started my IVF journey in 2022. I have cysts near ovaries, Pcos and endometriosis. Had been trying to get pregnant for 5 years + 1 year with letrozole and iui. Nothing worked. Within one year of ivf, my baby girl was born after second embryo transfer at the end of the year. She is almost one month old now. Although I live 3 hours away, but everything was worth it. I really like that the office is small so communication was easy. I could always get a hold of a nurse or Dr. Stoelk himself if there was an emergency. The price is more affordable too comparing to other places nearby the area. Thank you so much Dr. Stoelk and his team! Cannot wait for another transfer for my second baby!

Dr. Stoelk was the seventh health care professional and fourth doctor I went to see. He was the FIRST one to actually examine me and he immediately guessed at the problem and as things turned out, he was RIGHT! I had surgery with him to resolve some issues and with a bit more help, we conceived on our first cycle post surgery! Dr. Stoelk is kind, empathetic, compassionate and so knowledgeable. I trust him 100%. He truly cares about YOU, not about his bottom line. I cannot recommend him enough! We just welcomed our perfect baby in April. Thank you Dr. Stoelk!

Dr. Stoelk and his team has been wonderful during our long journey to conceive. Dr. Stoelk cares about his patients and provides them with an individualized approach. He takes time to answer questions and makes you feel heard. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking to get a one on one care.

Are you of color? Are you overweight? Because I am. My first appointment with this Doctor was a horrible experience. My first ultrasound with this doctor was so degrading. Before even getting an ultrasound he brought up my weight as I was ready on his table. He never had an issue seeing anything because of my weight. So I don’t under why I was mistreated the way I was by him. His team was very gracious and friendly. Too bad I can’t say the same for him. I had to keep calling my old doctor in a different state to understand why this doctor was doing because he never took the time to explain what was going on with me. Two calls and one week later and I still haven’t heard from this doctor. If he never wanted me as a patient I would’ve appreciated if he had just said that. He made this process so much harder on me. I was willing to put up with the treatment because I was desperate and vulnerable. I’m hoping to find someone that takes the time to treat me with respect and helps me being a mother. Good luck

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Stoelk for about 3 months now and its been wonderful. Dr. Stoelk and his staff are incredibly helpful, caring individuals. They put up with all the anxiety and thousands of questions without the air of being annoyed. While we havent conceived yet, I wanted to make sure to review now so no one thinks, well of course they thought he was great! They got a baby.

My fertility journey has been long and hard. Weve been trying now over 8 years. Seen over 8 different doctors through our journey. And no other place have Ive been treated with the most respect, the best bed side manor, the best staff. Ever. Other then NW Fertility. I unfortunately fell for trying ORM first and was robbed of our money and was so disrespected there. Left spending thousands of our money and left with empty arms. Im so incredibly grateful for Dr. Eugene Stoelks. After a year of trying with his practice I battled to lose weight between treatments. But with his help I am now 11 weeks pregnant!! The only person who has successfully got us pregnant. His entire staff is incredibly sweet! I became very close with the staff and they knew my chart really well. It made calling in with any questions ok and not stressful! They were also amazing at administrating shots and taking blood. I never bruised like I had done in the past. Thank you again Chloe!! Dr. Stoelks understood PCOS better then ANY doctor we had seen before. He made me feel normal and knew my symtoms were real. And knew this was a difficult journey to do. He made it less stressful and I actually trusted him. Unlike other doctors. The office is small and quaint. Offer free parking with is awesome in a protected building structure. I have to admit through, through this journey here at NW Fertility. All the shots, blood work and ultrasounds nothing was harder then actually saying good bye at 9 week appointment, our last one, knowing my journey had ended there and on to our next chapter, receiving their gift set they gave my husband and I made us all cry. Thank you again for our miracle NW Fertility. And we WILL be back and only have raved your name when it comes to telling everyone we are Pregnant!

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. My husband and I struggled with infertility for a few years when we decided to come here after seeing all the glowing reviews. We were not disappointed. Dr Stoelk found our issues on the very first visit and sprang into action on what to do. Tracy is a wonderful nurse, always kind and compassionate. Dr Stoelk was very meticulous and very thorough with the steps taken during our IVF process, always answering questions and very patient and listened to my husband and I. We are extremely over the moon to be expecting a healthy baby thanks to NWFC.

I started my journey with NWFC in 2018. I feel very lucky that I had Doctor Stoelk and his team to help me through the hardest part of my life. Finally I am past 10 weeks with our twins! My husband and I decided to switch from OHSU to Dr. Stoelk. I knew I was looking for a one on one approach. Dr. Stoelk treated me with kindness and respect. He cared about my overall health during my fertility treatments. Dr. Stoelk performed our 4th IUI and it was a success. Here I am 8 weeks pregnant after 2 years and 6 months of trying. I started our IVF process in June of 2021. We couldnt have a baby naturally for 5 years. Luckily I ended up being pregnant with my first baby boy after the first trial. He just turned 90 days old now. My husband and I are so thankful to be parents. Thank you Dr. Stoelk.

Dr stoelk is very friendly and knowledgeable. He takes his time at your appointments and you never feel like a number. The staff is very kind as well and they remember you by name. We were able to have our twins after 3.5 years of trying to get pregnant. I highly recommend.

Dr. Stoelk is a hard working caring doctor and his team was great! I went in for his consultation and some testing. He did not run too much paper work but instead listened to my history and symptom very attentively without judgement and asked me some questions to figure out what are my options. He is busy but has a very kind manner to people. His staff were all friendly and cheerful and I felt very comfortable being there and if I decided to take another step, I definitely go back to them, no doubt!

This is not an easy journey, but this clinic was AMAZING! I called all the local clinics before deciding on them. After the cash discount they are one of the most affordable clinics in our area. From the very beginning Melody was warm, open and answered every question I had. We met with Dr. Stolek for the first time in March/April of 2020 and he had great bedside manner, he didnt sugar coat our situation or waste our time with tests and treatment that wouldnt work. We decided to go straight for IVF. Covid-19 shut-downs put a wrench in our plans but the clinic stayed in touch and made this stressful situation as easy as possible. We started treatment in September, the shots were WAY easier than I expected and their frequent contact and check-ups took so much of the stress away. Our process didnt go as smooth as we had hoped for our age, in the end only 1 embryo was ready for transfer. But it seems that Dr. Stoleks skill and experience with placement lead to our tiny little miracle. We just finished up with confirmation at our 8 week check-up. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic: they provided us with the life we always wanted and did so all while making this experience as pleasant as possible.

We are very appreciative of Dr. Stoelk and his office staff. We spent 2 years dealing with secondary infertility and saw numerous doctors. Dr. Stoelk was the most conservative and compassionate. His office staff was always friendly and worked hard to make us comfortable throughout our time with them. After trying multiple treatments, we are thrilled to be expecting our little one! We truly appreciate the Christian aspects of his practice and know that we chose the best place for treatment. Dr Stoelk is an excellent clinician! My husband and I had been trying for almost 3 years. After seeing Dr Stoelk, in just a few months, my husband and I are pregnant with our first child.My experience at Kaiser went like this. Few months wait for OB/Gyn who had to refer me to Kaiser fertility center. 3-4 months wait to see a nurse who took my medical history. Blood test. 3-4 months to see another fertility specialist nurse who pulled my medical history, and asked me the same question as the first nurse, laughed really hard when I sadly told her it took me 4 months to see her, and then told me Im healthy and I should try it on my own. Now this costed thousands of dollars...we had been trying for years...and we are approaching 40. I cancelled my Kaiser insurance after this visit.My experience with Dr Stoelk went like this. First consultation included actively listening to me and doing a thorough physical exam, in which he told me I had a condition that makes it hard for me to conceive. A conveniently scheduled laparoscopy in which the entire team was excellent, especially Dr Stoelk who took great care of me. Couple months after--I feel so much better in general thanks to the meticulous surgery, and we are pregnant! It was an amazing experience. Every appointment was so carefully thought out. Everything that was done was done because it was absolutely necessary. This place is a gem.For everyone who had been trying for years to be a parent, had been disappointed in fertility places who treated you carelessly, never listen, took your money, wasted your time, and treated you like a number, try this place! He is ethical and caring, and will treat you like how he would want to be treated. I highly recommend him!

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding to contact NW Fertility Center and Im so glad I chose Dr. Stoelk to help me through my journey. We ultimately decided to do IVF and were successful on the first round!First, let me say that the staff (Milly, Tracy, and Melody) are phenomenal. When you call the office, someone always answers the phone, and that person is kind, gentle, and patient. I called several times with silly questions and Milly always took the time to address my question, no matter how long it took. Also, because theyre a smaller clinic, getting an appointment, at a convenient time, was never an issue. They offer appointments starting at 7 am, and when going through treatment, you can book something thats convenient for your schedule with only a day or twos notice. I have an 8-5 job, and I never had to miss work for an appointment or blood draw, which was awesome.Dr. Stoelk was great about tailoring your approach to infertility to what you want. Do you want to be aggressive? Do you want to take it more slowly? I never felt like he was pushing me in any one direction and I never felt like he was disappointed when I wanted to try Femara for 1 more month. :) I always felt he was rooting for me and was on board with whatever decision I made.Because infertility is such a emotional roller coaster, the #1 thing that I would suggest when looking for a fertility clinic is a place where you feel comfortable and safe. The fact that Dr. Stoelk is a 1-man show with a small staff meant that I got to know his team very well. They knew me by name. I saw the same 3 people every time I went to the office. By the end of this journey, they felt like my friends... and Im convinced that achieving this level of comfort was a big factor in my success.I truly dont know why someone would choose to go to one of the other fertility centers in Portland. There is not one thing I would change about my experience at NWFC and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking help with the struggle of infertility.

We had 2 unsuccessful IVF cycles with Dr. Stoelk and even though the cycles did not work we could not be happier with the way Dr. Stoelk treated us. We had seen other doctors and Dr. Stoelk (and his staff) were by far the best and most caring. We felt he took the time to get to know us and our situation. He genuinely cared about us, our goals and provided the best possible odds for us to have a child. His prices are great and well below many other doctors in the area (at the time we did in person consultations). We highly recommend Dr. Stoelk if you are considering IVF.

I spent hours looking for a fertility clinic and finally chose this place. And so glad I did! Their price for IVF packages was a lot more affordable than most places I looked at. I previously lived in another state. I had three consultations with different IVF doctors. I even started some treatments with one. I found all of my experiences with these doctors to be very clinical, lacking compassion. My body was always critically examined and the shortcomings (which I was hyper aware of) were always pointed out to me.This was NOT the case with Dr. Stoelk and his staff. I felt compassion, kindness and hope. I agree with the other reviews, this office is very transparent with cost and procedures. In my experience, this is not the case with other IVF doctors. I am very pleased and can honestly say I have had a great experience with this office. I would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I contacted Dr. Stoelk after dealing with a bigger and honestly worthless fertility clinic. It felt like we were dealing with a factory, and all they wanted was our money, and they could have cared less about our health and happiness. Dr. Stoelk on the other hand took the time to review our case and answer questions for us during our free phone consult. In that consult he advised us to seek a specialist and told us that fertility treatments now would be a waste of time and money. We really appreciate him being honest and giving us good advice. We saw a specialist and discovered that a condition my wife has likely would prevent any fertility treatments from working. We owe Dr. Stoelk, because he helped us make the right decision for our health and happiness, and he did it without taking a dime of our money. Dealing with infertility is already stressful enough to deal with, dealing with dishonest people who are just after your money is not something we needed on top of that. Dr. Stoelk is thankfully not like that, I would absolutely recommend seeking his help with infertility treatment.

I am a surrogate for a friend/neighbor and they found Dr. Stoelk and his staff for us to work with. I had no idea what to expect when this journey started, and to be honest, the idea of a male doctor made me nervous. Once we started with the process, those nerves disappeared. Dr. Stoelk is extremely professional, compassionate, honest, up front, and very willing to discuss what happens next when our plans need to change in order to make this whole experience work. We recently found out that our transfer last week did not work out, and although the call was disappointing, I was comforted by what Dr. Stoelk said on the phone, and encouraged by him to look forward to the next cycle in about 6 weeks. I believe that if anyone can get a baby for my IP, its the team at NW Fertility Center. Plus, Milly knows me when I call, and I like feeling like everyone there is honestly invested in our success. I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing Dr. Stoelk is. He is so professional, caring, and compassionate. I am so grateful to him and his staff for all they have done to for myself, husband, and our surrogate. The day of my harvest I was a nervous wreck and the wonderful woman who had flown in to help with the cycle gave me a huge hug and was so incredibly sweet to me. I immediately relaxed and knew I was in great hands. On the day of the transfer to our surrogate, the embryologist was just an angel and brought out a picture of our little embryos for us to keep. Millie and Tracy are just awesome, as is everyone I had had the pleasure of meeting in the office. Intro/Bio: Im a 36 year old woman, super fluffy (250+lbs), healthy and active (rarely sick, no major or minor issues, actively workout 3+ times per week), diagnosed with completely blocked fallopian tubesI met with several fertility clinics in my search for the perfect fit. When I stepped into Northwest Fertility Center and met the team for the first time, it was truly love at first sight.Responsive, friendly, intimate: That was my first impression of their office. The office team was expecting me and in that first appointment (and every, seriously every, appointment thereafter) I never waited more than 5 minutes to get into the exam room.Friendly faces: Every person in that office is happy to see you and happy to be helping. It is a small team, so you will never wonder what new face you may see. The same 2 people did all my blood draws, picked up the phone when I called, helped me with scheduling and questions. During a time when so much is chaos and you feel really out of control, I cant express to you how comforting it is to personally know your whole care team and know they honestly care about you and your results.I would choose DR Stoelk and the Northwest Team again and again and again. I was so sad that I had to leave them to transition to my normal OBGYN. But I will say I cant wait to see them in a few years when we are ready to try again for a little brother or sister!

My wife and I came here after seeing another fertility clinic in PDX without success. Dr. Stoelk was recommended by some friends. Dr. Stoelk diagnosed our problem the first visit, my wife had laparoscopic surgery performed by Dr.Stoelk. We are now 2 months pregnant and could not be any happier with Dr. Stoelk and his staff. The clinic is small, personal and professional which we love compared to being just a number at another clinic. Dr. Stoelks staff worked hard with our insurance and got the surgery covered even though it was out of network. The fertility visits were less than half of what other clinics charge, which was a relief since insurance wont cover those. Highly recommend anyone looking for fertility services come here first, you will be treated well.

So happy with the service provided! Melodi and the front staff are amazing! I cannot say enough about how prompt they are. They are fully transparent and explain the appointment, costs, etc to you in full detail. The doctor is wonderful. He has so much patience and explains things very thoroughly and made us feel absolutely comfortable. We are excited about this journey and couldnt be in better hands! We had our procedure during the June cycle and it went so well! They were very communicative especially during the beginning of all the Covid stuff. We were supposed to be in the March/April cycle and were postponed until the clinic opened again. Everything was wonderful, I WOULD encourage you to read up on the risks of O.H.S.S. My ovaries responded SUPER well and swelled up and it was a little rough but it had nothing to do with the implantation procedure and we are 4 months along pregnant with a baby girl! But just prepare yourself for what the possibilities of what the meds can do to you.After I had the weird Ovary issue, Dr Stolk was very good about calling me and checking to see how I was recovering and his office and staff was just wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about it. I will also say that the negative reviews I read about his office all had something to say about the fact that he prays over the procedure when he is done. It’s not awkward or weird and it’s totally a positive? Why would you object even if you aren’t a believer? It’s done out of love? It’s not like he’s there spewing hate over you lol. Ok enough of my soap box. If I were to go for round two with IVF I would definitely be back. They also give you your money back if you don’t use all the meds they give you and they totally don’t have to do that. Anyway! Good luck, do your research and ask questions! They are very good at making you comfortable and explaining everything as you go! ❤️

Dr. Stoelke was so patient and answered all my questions throughout the process. He gave different options to go down road of us starting a family. I always felt like him and his team there were there to provide information, services, and to work with my scheduling and needs!

My husband and I did the short initial consultations with 2 other clinics in Portland and then with Dr. Stoelk. Within a few minutes of speaking with him, we knew he was the right doctor for us. Our 15 minute meeting turned into 30 and he didnt seem rushed to get us out the door, unlike a large clinic we saw that day. .We had been trying to conceive for 10 years. We ended up doing a fresh and a frozen IVF transfer and both failed. We had to do a whole new retrieval with some new medicine and with that fresh transfer, it worked. By that point it had been 11 years TTC. Total we transferred 7 embryos. I dont think it was anything the doctor was doing, it was just my body and embryo quality. Once we figured that out, it worked.Through the process, Dr. Stoelk was the one to call me with any updates, medicine instructions, etc. He would stay on the phone with me up to 20 minutes sometimes, waiting until I was ready to end the conversation. I have NEVER had any doctor do that, let alone even call me.I cannot recommend him enough as your doctor for your reproductive procedures. He always takes his time with you and knows and remembers what you tell him. We love him and his staff. It is a small office and they all get to know you by name.I was teaching elementary school in a town an hour away while we were doing all these procedures and they always allowed me to come first thing in the morning so I could rush back to be at work by 8 a.m. Im not saying that was easy, but it was doable.Good luck with your journey, I know its not easy. Our daughter will be 1 tomorrow and I just scheduled our next frozen transfer for this fall! Im excited to be working with him again.

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant thanks to Northwest Fertility Center. Diagnosed with “lean” PCOS, Dr. Stoelk helped me come up with a game plan with the right medications and monitoring. I am forever thankful and would use Northwest Fertility again in the future!

I just called for questions regarding a consultation and had such a wonderful experience. Melodi was able to answer as many questions as she could regarding insurance etc. and went above and beyond to help me. Even as busy as she was, she took the time to explain everything and treated me like a human being, not a robot. So thankful!

Good doctor, very old school. I like that he wont do extra testing unless theres a problem. However, I was told to come back when I lose weight, I did lose some weight but still not enough after 6 months, and due to my age I didnt think I should continue to wait any longer. So I went to OHSU and got good results with Dr. Wu in spite of my weight. Glad I did IVF before I hit 35.

My wife and I have struggled with fertility issues for years. Originally we went to Oregon Reproductive because of the percentage of success that they boast. Almost immediately we regretted that decision. Nothing personable, needless testing, and when we had questions they were answered with short replies as well as having to wait until our next appointment to get those short replies. After months of no success and feeling like just another number in their money mill we decided to move on and find another fertility clinic. Based on recommendations from friends and research we decided to go in and get a consult with DR. Stoelk. From the initial consult he was personable and warm. We knew he was as invested in our success as we were. He literally makes himself available to you 24/7, Made sure we had his cell phone number in case of any questions or issues. He does all of the procedures that Oregon Reproductive does for less money. So far we have done 2 IUIs and recently completed our first IVF cycle...we are extremely optimistic. Would you like to know if this doctor and his facilities any good? Proof is in the numbers and we had 26 eggs retrieved, 22 of those mature, 19 fertilized using ICSI, 17 of those fertilized make it to day 5 blast. We had 2 embryos transferred today and froze the rest. We attribute our success with the numbers to this doctors competence each step of the way....As well as the quality of the labs here. We know he has many other patients but throughout this whole process we have felt as if we were his first priority.

We just had our egg transfer Tuesday. Regardless if we get a baby or not, this clinic is so warm and kind. Everyone in it is wonderful. Every time the doctor explains anything to you it’s as comforting as grandpa explaining fishing.As for the negative reviews I see on here Id like some more explanation as to why. My wife and I attempted through a large clinic 5 years ago and being treated as a number felt lonely. No explanation as to why it wasn’t working or caring speech after it failed. Just an “oh well, give us another 15k and we’ll try again.”

Dr. Stolk is the best doctor and really tries to help you. Never felt like a number in an office. He is so knowledgeable. He helped me figure out that I have endometriosis and the surgery couldn’t have gone better. If you need a specialist, I highly recommend him!

I love Dr. Stolk and the staff at NWFC. I tried another fertility doctor and wasnt very satisfied with the service. I met Dr. Stolk, and I have been so pleased with the service and care I received. I cant say enough good things about NWFC.

This doctor is using old methods and tried to talk me into unnecessary surgery. Beyond that I did not feel comfortable with him. Furthermore, his practice is Christian-faith based.

The true situation:. Bitter lesson, an expensive failure experience! . From last year to this year,. I am only 33 years old. The doctor said that there is no reason for the failure of ivf! . What a waste of time and money, body! . $17,500! . exhausted!
