IVF Michigan Fertility Center - Saginaw

I had a great experience going through the Saginaw office of IVF Michigan. They helped me overcome some fertility issues and I am forever grateful. The staff always treated me kindly and were very upfront about what I needed to do. They always made me feel very comfortable and kept me informed along the way. Sometimes daily. I have referred this office many times to others needing a little help starting their families!

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Dr. Shamma. Despite being an IVF specialist, this doctor lacks the ability to think outside the box when dealing with complex fertility issues. After multiple consultations and invasive hysteroscopies, Dr. Shamma failed to diagnose my endometriosis correctly, causing me unnecessary pain, expense, and delays. Instead of exploring all treatment options, they quickly pushed me towards surrogacy without fully investigating or addressing my underlying condition.I felt like I was on a conveyor belt, with no personalized care or alternative solutions considered. If you’re looking for a doctor who will listen, think critically, and exhaust all possible treatments before jumping to extreme measures like surrogacy, I would strongly advise against Dr. Shamma. The lack of insight and narrow-minded approach has cost me valuable time and emotional energy. I would not recommend this practice to anyone dealing with complex fertility issues.I now have a one year old after having a laparoscopic procedure by another expert IVF Dr. who was able to find and remove my endometriosis and I went on to naturally conceive ONE MONTH LATER. This was after 3 failed transfers with Dr Shamma and being told there was NOTHING else to be done. I continue to run into women with very similar experiences and felt the need to voice my review so maybe this will save someone the heartache me and many other women have gone through at the expense of Dr. Shamma.

IVF Michigan Saginaw was amazing! Everyone was friendly and helpful. If i had questions they answered timely and efficiently. The staff was very well educated and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Shamma, Jill, Kim, Heather, Shelby, and Betsy were great! My husband and I are truly blessed with a beautiful baby boy because of them all! I would 10/10 recommend! 💙

My husband and I have been going to the Saginaw office for over 3 years, we were blessed with an amazing nursing staff that helped us get our miracle baby on our second try. Dr. Shamma listened to every need, want, and concern we had the entire journey. Kim was on call whenever I had any kind of panic, question, or needed a listening ear; I dont think I wouldve been able to handle this without her. The amount of attention she put towards us was above and beyond any expectation we had. Shelby, another blessing during our journey, her kindness was a huge comfort for myself and husband. Betsy helped us so much during our first round and made our experience one that we wanted to do again...and again. And I cant forget Jill, the first face you see when you walk in and the one you look forward to seeing each and every time. She is so nice and communicates well and is extremely helpful.I would recommend this office and staff to anyone because they truly are amazing and have become family.

I have been a patient with IVF Michigan & Ohio for 3 years now and can not say enough good things about this office. The nurses are amazing, compassionate, responsive, great bedside manner, and overall care for your wellbeing and only want to help make those baby dreams come true. I have so much love and respect for Dr.Shamma, he is the best at what he does. Very matter of fact, straight forward, and will always be in corner and support whatever decisions you make. I have had some personal struggles these past couple years, and he was always there to listen and make a plan to move forward. He is seriously the best Doctor and could not have gotten through this without him.

I have been a patient with the Saginaw office since October of 2022. The front office staff is wonderful with scheduling and pricing information and explaining things in detail.The nurses are great and respond quickly and you’re in and out in a timely manner.Dr. Shamma is a very knowledgeable RE. We have had nothing but good experiences here.

Called and they dont do anything for the male side fertility just IVF so not sure why I got referred here. Guess more money in IVF than trying to see whats up with the men that have issues. I was trying to get help to see what can be done to diagnose and possibly treat my issues instead they just kept repeating we treat through your partner zero interest into seeing if I could have my issues fixed and have a baby naturally. Completely worthless referral from my doctor to them they do nothing. Seeing as IVF is 15-30k per 1 IVF cycle I can see why they dont care. Just go straight to IVF dont see if its a simple block or variocle vein or something. The description says they treat male infertility but thats also not true so the description needs to be updated as well.

The nurses at IVF Saginaw are amazing!! They are always there when I have questions and never act like I’m a bother. They reassure me if I’m nervous about something and never make me feel bad for asking. Betsy is just the sweetest and has gone above and beyond to make me feel special. She really takes her time with every appointment I have with her. I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff here!

THIS OFFICE IS A MONEY SCAM & ONLY WANTS TO DO IVF. Our experience here was nothing but a nightmare. After dealing with IVF Michigan Fertility Center we ended up transferring back to our old fertility office that is over 2.5 hours away from us to get the proper care. Since the initial VIDEO CALL with IVF Michigan mind you with no testing done at this point the Dr was pushing IVF right away. He was scared that I would get pregnant with multiples & have uterine rupture just because I had one csection. We did not feel comfortable with going straight to IVF with nothing confirmed yet but he kept pushing. We advised that we did 3 rounds of clomid to conceive our son & thats the route we would like to try first as theres so many other options before heading straight to IVF. We proceeded with all blood work & everything came back fine & then he wanted to do a SHG test I got that done and there were 2 polyps or scar tissue he didnt know which & said that was an immediate route that we need to take to do IVF and shut down clomid again.My husbands sperm test came later that day & he had 125 million sperm and a 2 morph which is low but can change depending on a number of things. Instead of saying lets retest in a bit or give any advise to help my husband oh you guessed it.. you need IVF... well thats when we went for a second opinion to our old office & guess what everything is great & we are currently wrapping up a SUCCESSFUL FIRST MONTH ON CLOMID. This is the same fertility center that helped us to conceive our son, so thankful for them! I literally felt crazy constantly saying NO IVF at every visit or call with IVF Michigan. Every conversation it was forced on us. Fast forward to today I call to ask about my bill because insurance covers the SHG test but I received a bill for $250 for a TRIAL EMBRYO TRANSFER which this test allows them to determine the best route and the ideal location to place the embryo in the uterus.IM LIVID AT THIS! Billing tried telling me that this is routine and thats part of the SHG. ITS NOT! WERE NOT NEW TO THIS, WE HAVE HAD THESE DONE BEFORE! They billed us separately.. they billed insurance for SHG and billed us out of pocket for a FREAKING EMBRYO TRANSFER THATS USED FOR AGAIN IVF! This is so shady! This dr again was pushing for IVF & was using this time to do a test that HE THOUGHT would knock out another test to so we dont have to do it when he thought we would be ready for IVF. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THIS TEST TO BE DONE/BILLED FOR! Billing again states that we signed a paper that with the SHG test any other testing can be completed at that time too if it NEEDS to be done.. GUESS WHAT!!! IT DIDNT NEED TO BE DONE, AT ALL! IVF was NEVER in our pregnancy plan weve said no over & over again! Just because the DR thought that needed to be done doesnt mean that we should have been billed for it, it was never even mentioned to me! Dont you think you should tell the patient what youre doing! That is NOT what I was told would be done & signed for. This is crazy! Also after this trial embryo transfer nothing was said to us about the results or that it was done so again just using it as a way to get a head start on IVF & BILL FOR MORE MONEY. Billing didnt make sense explaining this because they told me that the embryo transfer is part of the SHG test but its NOT because if it was then why was it billed separately as two different services & also she told me that in the contact I signed it states that any additional tests needed will be preformed & thats what happened so how is the trial test embryo transfer part of the SHG but then you tell me it was an additional test that the Dr needed to do?! By reviews we are not the only ones feeling robbed & frustrated. Paid the bill even though they billed us shady & so happy to be done with this office. No one even tried to make this right! We left to go to an office who doesnt take our insurance thats how awful our experience was. Please advocate for yourself if you dont feel something is right.They blocked me had to use other account to leave a review WOW

LOVE this office. The front office staff are so nice, communicate well & are so helpful. The nurses are phenomenal - very knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. Dr. Shamma is a genius. He is very good at what he does, he is very straight-forward and up-front with his practice & work, which I greatly appreciate. He was so kind & compassionate during all of my procedures and office visits. Cant recommend this location enough.

Tried to call to reschedule an appointment and couldnt get anyone on the line. Called later and was finally able to get someone to talk to me and they categorize me as a no-call no-show because they couldnt see that I called earlier...

IVF Mich, Saginaw location, was my safe space. I always felt like family here. Nurse Lori became my confidant so easily. I could express my joys and fears with her. She explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand and was always so caring and understanding. We came to IVF MI for assistance getting pregnant with our first daughter and then they gave us extra care when we found ourselves pregnant with our second. I truly feel like they go out of their way to make you feel more than a number. You’re family. We are so grateful for their love and care. And we believe that they are the reason we have been able to have a family. Thank you so much

During our long journey through secondary infertility we were blessed to land at IVF Michigan. Dr. Shamma, Betsey, Lori and the entire Saginaw team was so caring, helpful and thorough. IVF Michigan helped us through our ups and downs. Dr. Shamma was very compassionate when we miscarried our IVF baby and was also there every step of the way with our non-IVF pregnancy. I truly believe had we not been under IVF Michigan’s care, we wouldn’t have our beautiful, miracle rainbow baby.

We met Dr. Shamma and his staff April of 2019. After our consultation for IVF, my husband and I were nervous but knew we were put on this path for a reason. Dr. Shammas office was more than helpful answering our questions, ordering our medications, and getting us ready for our first round of IVF. Thanks to Dr. Shamma, less than a year later we welcomed our first child into our family. After three years of trying on our own and no luck, we could not be more thankful for Dr. Shamma and his expertise. Without him our little guy would not be here today. We cannot recommend him enough!!

Dr. Shamma was absolutely amazing. His expertise in helping families grow is amazing. He helped my husband and me get pregnant with twins after 10 years of no luck on our own. We can’t thank him and his staff in Saginaw enough!

Dr. Shama, Lori, Betsy, and all the staff members treat patients and their concerns with respect and compassion. So thankful they were the ones in the life boat that God sent to us when we felt lost in what seemed like an endless sea of infertility.

We suffered with infertility for years and got pregnant with just 1 transfer. Dr. Shamma is caring and understanding about this delicate subject. I high recommend him and his staff.

The collection room is a small bathroom, with a rickety chair, and a mirror right in front of you. Meanwhile you can hear the staff talking and working right outside the door. If you are bigger and/or require any comfort or relative privacy, please go somewhere, anywhere, else. It was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life.

It’s nearly impossible to get an appointment with this place. They expect you to jump through hoops just to get testing done. They quote you 1 price and tell you to get a referral before they can see you. And then the next thing you know they’re quoting 2x the original cost. The staff is also extremely rude
