Life Choices Medical Clinic and Care

I was beyond surprised at the care I received at this clinic. I have been around the block a few times and I have never felt so cared for. The care provider really listened to me. They are all true PROFESSIONALS in every sense of the word, starting with the receptionist, excellent people skills, great attitude, she was kind and positive, its amazing what a difference a smile makes. I saw how kindly they treated the mother that was deaf/ hard of hearing, they didnt treat her any different than me. At other clinics they treat people based on their paying abilities. So impressed! Thank you for a great experience.

A welcoming place staffed by caring people who are licensed medical and counseling professionals. They offer practical assistance as well as education classes and much more. Their volunteers are wonderful as well. Everyone takes the time with each client to provide services tailored to each ones needs and preferences. They set women and families up to succeed! Highly recommend Life Choices!

Everyone is wonderful here. I highly recommend. Especially if you need care for pregnancy and cant get on Medicaid, everyone is kind and helpful. They also have lots of great resources to help with preparing for a baby. Update: I contracted a disease in this clinic. They dont sanitize properly. Very disappointed. I am still happy with the people that work here as they were very kind BUT the fact that they dont clean properly and put pregnant women at risk, is a big problem.

The women I spoke with on the phone and when I arrived were extremely friendly. When I found them online I thought it was great they offer free pregnancy test/ultrasound and thought they might be similar to Planned Parenthood but I was wrong. Other reviews are true! When I got to the back after the pregnancy test I had to sit in a room with the “clinic director RN” for over an hr. as others said trying to push their religion on you. I definitely felt pressured and I realized I was at an anti-abortion clinic. The RN went on to tell me about her past experience with an abortion and how she found Jesus as she clutched her cross repeatedly. When I told her I had an abortion before, we then went into all the long term effects that could come down the line like breast cancer, depression from suppressed trauma etc. trying to scare you. I said nope! I am perfectly happy with the decision I made back then. Then when I was asked about adoption I said absolutely not! I would never do that. That’s just me! She then repeated the question saying “sooo you would rather terminate the pregnancy than give a baby a chance at a life?!” I said Yup!!! That’s MY CHOICE! At that point I felt like I was talking to one of those religious protesters outside planned parenthood. I just wanted the medical info I didn’t come to find Jesus or have their views pushed on me and be judged. They definitely are encouraging you to have your baby regardless how you feel. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for medical services/info alone or considering abortion. Great place if you plan on carrying out your pregnancy to full term and are a religious person.

Everyone I encountered was very nice to me. I had some reservations when going in due to some reviews I read but my experience was very pleasant. I knew from the start that I was keeping my baby so I can’t say how they react to those who choose not to. They seemed very informative on prenatal care and even gave me a list of doctors that accepts medicaid. While everyone I encountered there was nice and respectful to me, some of the questions on the initial paperwork were very weird. I don’t see how my sexual orientation or how I like to have sex is relevant to anything, let alone anyones business. I read that they are heavily religious base and while I didn’t get that vibe from the staff the paperwork definitely had multiple questions that did give off that vibe. Other than that tho, I would definitely recommend to others, especially if you’re low on cash. They also don’t allow small kids either so that was a little inconvenient but not a major issue for me.

To have such a wonderful team support those in need during an unexpected or difficult pregnancy is invaluable. It is an encouragement just to know they’re there. The team working selflessly at Life Choices can be trusted to offer the best medical care and support any parent needs!

The women at this clinic were super sweet and caring!! I absolutely would recommend this clinic! I didn’t know it was a religious clinic at first but I’m a Christian and it was so great to have someone pray with me. I did not feel like anything was forced on me contrary to what these comments say they were very understanding and not judgmental at all!

Terrible!! They are always changing what they say. Had an appointment for my first prenatal ultrasound & got it cancel because they said I had to pay out of pocket. And I spoke to someone in the morning b4 that phone call stating the service was free of charge . Btw i have insurance and they are saying its not in there system when i tried to call and give them info .DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE !

When my wife took a pregnancy test and discovered that she was pregnant, we scheduled an appointment for a sonogram at the 6-week mark at Life Choices Medical. From the moment we arrived in the reception area to the sonogram itself, we were treated with love, respect and kindness. Not only was the staff friendly and professional, but they even offered to pray with us which was very sweet. They clearly explained all the ways that Life Choices Medical would be willing to come alongside us to help throughout the pregnancy including pre-natal visits, nutritional information, parenting classes, and even practical assistance through diapers, baby clothes, and baby equipment. I was especially impressed with the 2-sided paper that showed and described the development of the baby in the womb. That was eye-opening. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone whether you are married or single.

Very nice and helpful receptionists. They were always smiling and kind. This is a good place to find resources for a variety of needs you may have. Thanks for helping to propel individuals, couples, and families in the right direction.

Front desk is rude, seems like she hates her job also she’s very loud when discussing why you are there. They don’t allow children? A few weeks ago I went and a lady had her kids running around but made a girl leave because she had her kid? The staff is judgmental about patients beliefs.And the MOST IMPORTANT THING: they don’t know what confidentiality is, they talk about if your getting a checked or your pregnancy right in front of everyone in the lobby. They should be more confidential. I AM REPORTING THIS PLACE FOR HIPPA VIOLATIONS. Would not recommend this place to anyone. They are very rude and just want to scare people if they are doing the right thing. My dear friend went here and told her her baby wasn’t healthy and my friend has anxiety as it is so she stressed and had a miscarriage due to everything they told her. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!You think they’d fire the front desk person or at least move her to a different area due to the ugly comments people post about her but sadly no.

Went In two weeks ago and everyone was great but two weeks later I get a phone call where they are trying to collect Insurance to bill. No where and nobody stated they bill your Insurance at all. They mention all everything Is FREE til they are trying to bill Insurance for office visit, pregnancy test and etc.Billing to Insurance should be mention at first time visits!

Miss Penne was great when she attended me. I spoke to a very lovely woman in there she provided me with a bible and a beautiful piece of mind. Helped me call down relax and feel at peace. The woman at the front desk, did not catch name, but she was very rude about my profile photo, she said it looked nothing like me that I looked thinner on my photo that she was going to update it to a picture that actually looks like me and was extremely loud about it and rude she made faces. She was short, spoke some Spanish and wore green scrubs with shoulder length hair. The nurse standing behind her made me feel better as she said its okay I never look the same on my pictures myself she said her ID and military ID looked different. I had gone in that day super stressed over my situation and a recent ectopic pregnancy so I did not get ready or wear make up to my appointment and she pointed everything out. She was loud about my reason for being there and even complained to me in my face when I got up to the front desk and she said ugh .. oh I had just sat down I thought I was done and now I have to get back up again...ugh.. oh well.. let me get your name hello isnt that your job? I would not recommend this place not because of miss penne but because of the rude front desk nurse just judging you and being loud so unprofessional.

These people were awesome and treated me and my wife very nice. =D not deceptive at all! No voodoo there! They are a Christian based clinic and if you are about that life, then go there. If you mind that religion, then go some where else. Very simple choice ;)

Please never come here. they say they worship God but it is a cover up. They treat you like trash. This is so disappointing. Penne Jasper is the rudest NP EVER! WHOLE STAFF NEEDS TO BE FIRED!

I have been coming to life Choice since 2013 when i found out i was pregnant with my son ; I am now on my third child and still come here ;they have always been humble and professional with my every need.I feel like family when i come here . always see smiles and i will continue to come . I have recommended life choice to family and they have also enjoyed their experience .Thank you life choices staff God Bless

LifeChoices is a ministry that offers such an essential service to the women of San Antonio! Our adoption agency has known several women who were seen there and who raved about how kind the LifeChoices staff was to them. We are grateful for the work they do and Abrazo recommends this clinic for those in need of early term prenatal checkups.

Religious based, I spoke to helpful staff only 2 women in this clinic care about people, the one running this place looked at 2 Hispanic ladies and refused service. No options for abortion, and they charge to cure infections, nothing pricy, they mentor and judge after. Definitly private based company ran by religion..

09/13/2022 I waited over a hour & thirty mins just to be seen. I’m sure it had something to do with the cops being there because it was three of them but they didn’t inform the three of us waiting in the lobby it would push out appointments back so far. While everyone does come for different things it seemed like everyone coming in after us was seen before us!! I love Dr.P but this was a very big inconvenience for me! The front desk lady was EXTREMELY RUDE

This is not the place to go to if your looking for clinical information to help make a decision or for counseling on the various options available. Their purpose is to scare young women out of having an abortion. If you want to have a baby but need some encouragement then this is the place. This is my impression of the place from stories I had from multiple people.

Where can I start these people are Gods gift they treat you with love & compassion. I never felt judged by any one they show support & check up on you ! I found out I was pregnant here they helped me with alot getting medicad & offer classes . Im very thankful for you guys I dont know how I could have done it without you ! Thanks for the amazing convos & compassion I couldnt thank yall enough !!!!!

Came here when it was Agape. Ultra sound tech was awesome. But they send you to a room with a judgemental little old lady that will try to convert you. I wasnt aware they were incredibly religious when I went but as soon as I found out I never came back for help from them. Life Choices more like Anti Choices

RUDE STAFF, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Hey don’t allow children?!?! I had no choice but to bring my 7 month old as my boyfriend works all day and I have never other babysitter and I was told to leave. Ridiculous!!!! What was I supposed to do? Set my baby outside and tell him I’ll be back in a little bit? RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also - Front desk lady, dirty blonde shoulder length hair seems like she hates her job and everyone who walks in. Rude RUDE RUDE DONT GO THERE!!!! She was also very loud and not confidential. I dont want to whole clinic knowing my business.

This place is wonderful I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant I don’t remember anyone’s name it was such a blur but I love the fact that it’s a very welcoming facility and the staff are wonderful. They prayed over me and my baby and I really needed that I love coming here thank you so much for helping me I just moved out here by myself with no family but this place gives me reassurance every time I come here I’m glad you this place is very spiritual not a lot of places are like that thank you god for showing me this and continue to bless this facility 💕🌸God is Good

I love the staff. Theyre caring and understanding. Mrs.Penne is great she listens and is very genuine. I recommend this clinic to anyone who may need help. They helped me when I needed it most.

This is by far the worst company they don’t pay their employees what they’re supposed to be paid very rude and you can put in overtime but they only give you 500 dollars but you can never take a day off I wouldn’t advise anyone to work for this company

I had a wonderful time at the baby shower event 3/22 and was so impressed with the wonderful ladies on staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for support.

These people called my boyfriend after I left the clinic to get his information regarding my STD results. When I specifically said not to. Cheap place for treatment and testing.. however they will pedal their religion on you.

Extremely rude and inconsidrate. I came in scared and when I told them what I was coming in for, they asked me for details about my sex life IN THE LOBBY for everyone to hear. Go anywhere else. They were not considerate at all and should be reported to HIPAA

This is not an actual medical facility. They are anti-abortion and will not support your right to have one. They do not offer abortion services, nor do they refer for abortions.

They did something against HIPPA the Nurse who check your temp aske about your first and last name ,date of birth with aloud voice all people around heard my personal information,the front desk not friendly at all she seems like she hate us and scare from us.

Not a real medical facility. It is a religious organization masquerading as a clinic. I mean if you prefer going to a witch doctor vs a real doctor then yes go see these people.

Called for a free pg test today and she told me call back when the times right ??? SMH I went ahead and went into another place they told me I was pg not a good way to start the new year 😤
