Planned Parenthood - Blossom Hill Health Center

Came with my partner for both of us to get our STI screening and they had no issues with her coming in with me, but flat out told me I cant come in. Turns out they profile people and pick and choose who they think are abusive partners. As someone that has been abused in the past, it was extremely hurtful and unprofessional to not extend the same caution with my partner joining me for my test. What if I was being abused?

Honestly not great. Faculty can be nice but some are condescending and rude. They made me wait 40 minutes just to say they can’t help me. (I had an appointment which they made me reschedule) last time I told them about a medical concern I had. They said I did not have that issue when I clearly do, evidence being presented. Mind you, I was trying to come in for the issue they did not confirm. They do not know what they are talking about.

Were do I start? The wait is too long! The Receptionist are slow, rude, bad customer service, unprofessional, not organized, no team work! The nurse Asia, is nice, but out spoken in a serious but yet rude dominare, she does give you 10 min of her time after youve been waiting for an hour in the waiting room! Then after your seen by the nurse Asia, not doctor? She has an assistant come in and give you a brown lunch bag with your medicine in it, lol. And send you out on your way out?! Confused? They said I had a bacteria after a Pap Smear? Or my Urine? I dont even think they checked my Urine, because the assistant didnt even mention, that my urine test was ok. No truely clarification or concerns about your health, lost of communication from the nurse to the patient! Then they gave me an antibiotic by a pharmaceutical company Unichem that scared me! And made me worry about how Ive taken this medication already for three days and felt dizzy, and my eyes started to roll back, and I thought I was going to faint & fall to the floor! Im not taking it any more! Im scared for the younger generation on how Planned Parenthood/ Thornwood location, is having too wait too long, why they dont have a doctor evaluating you, and what kind of pharmaceutical are they getting thete prescription from??? The corporate office needs to (clean office) get rid of these employees and rehire people friendly, and concern nurses and doctors at this location who actually are concerned about a patient health & with a warm & friendly personality! Or does that not exist anymore??? I am not returning back to this location! Thank God! I didnt faint, & fall to the floor after my eyes rolling back & feeling dizzy from taking antibiotic Metronidazole. I was prescribed by a nurse Asia! I stop taking this pharmaceutical medication from UNICHEM! I feel fortunate to be alive!

My review may not be helpful, as I came here several years back, but I found this specific location to be incredible. It was always clean and the staff was genuinely kind and very professional. If I had to visit again, I would come back to this specific location. I hope it hasnt changed.

I just went to my local Planned Parenthood and was absolutely amazed at the quality and level of compassion and care I received. I needed my IUD (inter-uterine device) removed and replaced because my primary care tried but could not remove it at their office. I have anxiety that is mostly manageable, but when I am stressed it gets the better of me. Planned Parenthood were so kind and patient with me through the whole process. At no time did I feel pressured, unsafe, or in incapable hands. If you are one of lucky women to where your IUD did not hurt then Im extremely relieved for you. Unfortunately for me it is an EXCRUCIATING experience. Despite trying to meditate and work on my 1 to 2 breath I was unable to cope with the pain. The assistant came in and held my hand through the entire process, keeping me present and allowing me the space to get through the ordeal. The physician was patient, compassionate, and kept me informed through the whole process, and most importantly, she went at my place. I am beyond grateful to all the wonderfully kind and caring souls that work at Planned Parenthood. I received far better care there than I have at any other doctors office. I cannot stress the importance of Planned Parenthoods necessary and vital role in womens health care. They MUST stay in business. Please support your local Planned Parenthoods and the company as a whole. They are Angels in desguise.

Thank goodness for planned parenthood in California. Its well funded, clean, plenty of helpful staff and appointments, free services. Having been in Indiana for 2 months where this service is not as well funded, I am so so greatful for this amazing place!!

Had my appointment rescheduled just to come in and tell me that I need to reschedule it again! WTH. Rude and very unprofessional.

Very unprofessional and they had a problem on their end at checkout where they couldn’t get a hold of a third party that was closed to accept my insurance. At first she said 18$ for a pregnancy test. At check out they had issues and said it’s $44...I had to pay 44$ for a pregnancy test y’all. I have to send my invoice to my insurance and idk how long that will take, but I didn’t like my experience even when I was asking women’s health questions I wasn’t getting the best response and I couldn’t see one medical assistants name tag either

These ladies in here are AMAZING ! I talked to about four women in here and every single one of them where super sweet. I didn’t even have an appointment and they still made arrangements for me to be seen. I am thankful I came here. Thank you !
