Dr. Afam Ikejiani, MD

The main and only reason I’m leaving a 4-star review is the waiting time; it’s ridiculous. You are waiting for almost 3 hours, and you only see the doctor for 10 minutes. I’m not saying he is a bad doctor because he is good and knows his job. It’s just the wait time and the front staff. They’re friendly, but they will tell you they’ll call and don’t, so you have to keep calling to get a response.

Had an appointment this week at 1pm, Arrived 10 minutes early only to walk to a locked door. No sign on door saying out for lunch or had to leave for emergency, nothing! There were several cars waiting outside too. I called no answer. Finally, at 1:15 a woman comes to door unlocks it and walks behind counter. I entered the office and I was the first to arrive at counter, and followed by 7 other women all waiting to be seen. We had to wait for her to get off her phone for her to address us. That’s when I knew I was done with this place! I canceled my appointment and she asked if I’d like to reschedule. Definite NO! My last appointment wasn’t good either! I had really high praises for Dr. Ikejiani because he helped me in 2017 with a 8lb Cyst which needed surgery and back then he was an awesome guy! But now back for my pregnancy and I’ve felt horrible about my experience after leaving my appointment. All I hope is he gets better staff and never forget the legacy he leaves behind as a doctor! It’s not just a job it’s so much more! To be a part of so many people’s lives in good/ bad/ exciting/scary times! I hope this review brings light to the improvements needed to make this practice better! Unfortunately, I’ve decided to move on for better care for myself/baby!

LOVE love Love Dr. Ikejani, he delivered my nephew in 2009 and my daughter in 2021 and will deliver all my children God Willing! Hes patient, kind, and true to self. He waited at the hospital 22.5 hours so I wouldnt have a C Section and it would be a vaginal birth, now thats dedication! His C Section are low rate 9/10 if hes your doctor you will have a vaginal birth!

Dr. Ikijiani is a caring and professional physician. He takes the time to address the needs of his patients in an admirable manner. His care for humanity is evident in his practice.

I regret even giving this place my time. I was seen a few times and every time I’d wait 2-3 hours. I finally switched offices. They had charged me each visit 100$ upfront and never even bothered to tell me that I had a credit on my account for all the payments I made that they shouldn’t have collected because my insurance paid in full. I had to find out through my claims that they owe me money, they never bothered to let me know. I’ve now been given the run around for 2 whole months trying to get my refund and they keep making me speak to different people. The office managers doesn’t even return your calls back ! Very unprofessional office and I would never ever recommend anyone be seen here.

I was at this appointment for legitimately two hours and never saw the practitioner. I’m pregnant and was needing a new OBGYN. I left the appointment after waiting in the waiting room for over an hour and then back in a room for another very long time. There was barely any patients in the office... there’s no way for the practitioner to be that backed up when there was no one there. My first impression in the first 10 minutes was an over flowing lab sample door. Tons of urine sample cups in the window with no lids! I was so grossed out. Very unsanitary. And how old were these samples with such an empty office? Who was even working? The bathroom was a mess. My daughter and I had to wave our hands dry and try not to touch anything because it wasn’t the most clean office I’ve ever been into. Needless to say, I left and explained that I will not need another appointment as I won’t be coming back. Back to my search to find a proper OB to take care of me and my unborn child. Shame.

Never coming back here after I get my birth control removed. Rachel in the front wouldn’t even give me a doctor’s note after THEY messed up my appointment with premier radiology. Every time I come it’s always an issue, either I’m waiting 2 or more hours, have to be rescheduled, or they just don’t answer their phones. PLEASE look for better OBGYNs before considering this place!

My first appointment I waited over an hour in the waiting room and then was taken to an exam room where I waited an additional 90 minutes without anyone returning to the room. I left the room to leave and was then told by the physician that I was next and to please return to the room. The only explanation I received was that he sees many pregnant women and it takes lots of time. I left the office 3 1/2 hrs after my appointment time being told that due to my history and my exam I needed tests for ovarian cancer, one of these tests would be an ultrasound that he would perform in his office in 2 weeks. He explained that he wanted to wait that amount of time so that he could have all of my other test results back and we could discuss of the findings in one day. It was an extremely stressful 2 weeks.Upon my return I was taken straight back to the exam room without waiting and was hopeful that last time was just an off day for this office. Once in the room I was not asked to disrobe and I did not see any ultrasound equipment but I still was not concerned until the nurse came in and asked where I had my ultra sound performed because she could not find it in the system. I explained that I was having it in the office at that appointment. She was very kind and told me there was a misunderstanding and that I was supposed to have the test before my appointment. She went to get the dr who told me that since I had no had my test done I would need to reschedule. I reminded him of my last visit and told him that I did have an order for an ultrasound. He explained that it was written in my chart. I expressed my feelings about the situation very loudly and passionately which did lead them to get me into the office next door promptly for my ultrasound. Only to find out that my left side was perfect(that was the side he allegedly found an alarmingly large cyst on) and my right side has a 2 in cyst. But he would like to see me back in 2 months.....However with all of that said his staff is very kind and patient. They remained polite and professional with me even after I am sure I no longer deserved it.

I have known Dr. Ikejiani for many years. The care he gives to his patients are remarkable. He takes time with all his patients to show that they are important and listen to every concern. His office staff is courteous and always willing to help facilitate each patient care in the best manner possible.

Best OBGYN in the Nashville area. I absolutely love him and the entire staff. They took great care of me and I delivered a healthy baby girl. Dr. ikejiani also delivered me and my twin sister many years ago. Definitely recommend his practice

Ive never experienced such a crapy obgyn in my life ! Schedule appts actually mean sit in the waiting room for an hour than and hour in patient room just to be rushed and not told a damn thing . I recently moved back to MI at 32 weeks pregnant and went back to my OBGYN that I had with my first born . I founded out I didnt pass my diabetes testing FROM THE FAX INFORMATION DR IKEJIANI SENT OVER, may I remind you I took this test around 25 weeks and last seen him was 3 days before I moved and he didnt mention anything to me at all smh . Not only that, he didnt have measurements of my baby from the ultra sounds done . Everytime I was in his office he never talked to me or tell me the heart rate of the baby or just making sure all my questions were answered . Never never never will I ever recommend him to anyone ! FOR THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR UNBORN CHILD DO NOT GO TO HIM !

I am actually very disappointed with their service. When I called for my first appointment they failed to answer my questions about insurance, even after I called a second time. When I got to the appointment she looked at me like I was stupid when I asked again. I waited in the wait room for an hour, and then in the back for more than an hour. When the doctor finally saw me he was very hurried. Make it clear that he did not want to answer my questions. He gave me absolutely no information about dos and donts of pregnancy. Although I already know a lot from my own research he mentioned nothing about heavy lifting, what I should or shouldnt eat and so on. I was there for maybe three hours and seen for probably less than half an hour. Also, the address that is on google is wrong, which made me late to my appointment. Terrible, terrible experience for such an important time in my life.

L.O.V.E this office I have had nothing but the best experience with Dr. Ikejiani he has the best bedside manners he delivered my second n third ( was not on call that weekend but his team is amazing) Stonecrest labor n delivery amazing nurses n just all around great experience during a special time in my family life. Whenever I need to set an appointment I can get in very quick..

DO NOT USE the most masochistic doctor who barely sees you or answers your questions. The office staff is awful. Nothing welcoming about this experience. Most positive reviews were made over 1 year to 2 years ago. This is not the case anymore.

I have known Dr. Ikejani for years. He is a great doctor that listens to his patients and cares about their well being. Not only has he delivered one of my children he delivered my niece and one of my God children as well. Dr. Ikejani is definitely an amazing doctor and he is still my OBGYN to this day. He delivered my daughter in 1996.

I normally see the Doctor he is great very detailed very helpful. Today i spoke to the other doctor and she started off with a very unprofessional voice and attitude for no reason I’m explaining to her what I’m experiencing and she goes on to tell me “all women say” I’m not calling about all women I’m calling about me. She was rude every time i tried to explained she had cut me off and then tried to apologize but continued to cut me off she mentioned we had spoken before and i explained couldn’t have because no one there has ever been rude to me, i wouldn’t recommend the office because of the staff she was a horrible person on the phone who shows no concern Lena is her name Lena Mcmilllan she is the NP with the attitude as if she has a PHD HORRIBLE JOB TODAY

First visit and I did wait a bit but it was well worth it. The Dr. was very attentive to my questions and answered all of them. My records were sent over from another dr and this staff made sure they had everything needed for this very fast appointment. Thank u I highly recommend this dr with his wonderful staff.

Dr. Ikejiani and Lena are both excellent providers. The staff is wonderful. The office is clean and staff is friendly. I highly recommend this office.
