Planned Parenthood - Spokane Health Center

The staff and providers themselves are wonderful...But expect to be rescheduled at least once if not more. I ended up cancelling and going back to my old provider because twice on the day of my appointment Planned Parenthood called to reschedule- I am disabled and dont need the extra hassle.

This location is clean and safe and felt much nicer than others I have been to in the past. I was able to fill out my pre appointment paperwork online and was seen within 5 mins of checking in at the front desk. Staff was friendly and informative. I had my exam/pap and received a new birth control prescription. They constantly asked consent to touch me before doing so, even when taking my blood pressure, and thoroughly explained things beforehand. As someone with anxiety that was appreciated.

Facility is really nice and secure. Staff were great from the women at the desk to the provider. Fast, efficient, and lots of education. Appreciate you 💕

I had a very unpleasant experience with one particular provider today, I was waiting upon test results while already being very scared and concerned about my health. she barged in the room without knocking on her computer started to share my test results with me faster then I could take it in and process it. Pointed out different options to me so fast without treating me like I was human being. In all my years attending there have been great doctors who treat me like I’m a patient with kindness. If she read my background I have some past history there and have attended therapy there. She was completely inconsiderate and was very robot like talking to me. It was clear this was just a job to her. she may or may not have had a bad day but this apt today was very new to me and very scary she did not make me feel safe as she should have done in a professional manner.

Ive had some pretty bad experiences in healthcare settings and was nervous going to my appt, but wow, Planned Parenthood does things differently. Vanessa Santiago and assistant Allie (?) were so kind and considerate, answering all my questions, giving me options, and generally making me feel like they cared and I wasnt just a body. Will recommend them to everyone. They offer so many services besides abortion; I wish Id known that sooner.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience here. The staff was amazing; professional but also felt like I was talking to my friends. Every person I interacted with was caring and compassionate. I felt so safe and comfortable here. It also was so easy to schedule a next day appointment online. The wait time was perfectly reasonable. I wish I could go here for ALL my medical care!!

I have serve emetophobia and everyone made me feel so safe, comfortable, and welcomed. most healthcare providers don’t take my diagnosis serious, everyone down to the front desk was so supportive. amazing team, that offers amazing care and support!!

Made an appointment to get my wife on birth control here, and traffic ended up being a nightmare so we showed up 5 minutes late. They had already given our time slot up to someone else (so i had just driven 160 miles round trip for nothing). So we made a new appointment about a month later, showed up at 11:30 Am for an 11:45 check in. We didnt see the doctor until 3 PM. If there is any possible way you could get what you need from another establishment, i would reccomend you do that and save yourself the headache cuz thats all your gonna get from there. bulls$%# customer service and aint a lick of shade in the parking lot neither.

I went in and had a standard iud removal, I had severe symptoms up to a week following the removal, when I attempted to get a doctors note to excuse the two days I had missed due to the complications, the provider refused to write one to excuse my work absences. I was never informed I could have removal complications and didnt prepare my work for my absence leaving me in a sticky situation with my job. Worst service I have ever received. Talk about not believing womens pain or being educated that symptoms can happen post removal, and just being gaslit. Never going back to planned parenthood. Worst service. This is supposed to be good healthcare, but I guess not.

Honestly the staff and MAs are nice but I had a doctor perform an exam on me once here and she was extremely rough and made me uncomfortable. I don’t recommend planned parenthoods unless you have no other alternative options as I am still recovering mentally because of how badly I was treated my last visit at this location.

I love these people! I have asked on multiple occasions with my pcp to be tested and examined for endometriosis, to no avail. even tho my mother has endometriosis. after only a couple phone calls here talking about my symptoms before stating my mother has endometriosis they suggested possible endo and I’m getting my exam today threw an emergency appointment. That’s what I call health care. I will always return here for anything they can treat or test me for.

This was my first time ever getting any kind of Womens Health check up. They were so patient and understanding! Mia was was absolute sweet heart and was so comforting to me! Dr. Ellen was also very professional and relatable. Overall an amazing experience I will continue to go and support Planned Parenthood !!! ❤

The experience I had with Planned Parenthood on Indiana was exceptional; most definitely the most hospitable staff I have had the pleasure of working with in the health care industry in the greater Spokane area. The initial entry experience into the building was a little unnerving, but everyone behind the scenes including the nurses and doctors were very friendly, accommodating, personable and professional. Thank you guys for your service!

All the people that work here are amazing! I moved here a little under a year ago, and I haven’t had a single bad experience here. Everyone is compassionate and kind, so I’m so happy this is my home clinic. The weirdos outside were annoying and tried to harass me, but the clinic took care of it before I left, and the exam I received inside was through and professional. 10/10 would recommend this clinic.

Great place, dont get wrong it is. However I feel they recently have been talking to long to do things I was in the place with my girlfriend over a hour just got a depo shot. My girl also told me for the first half hour she was back there the nurses were joking around for a half hour? If I was the manager that wouldnt fly. I have things to do. Sitting there for a hour for a 5 minute shot is a waste of time

Ellen is amazing! My last IUD perforated my uterus (implanted by a different provider in Seattle) and she took great care of me with my recent implantation. I cannot sing her praises enough. Ladies, if you need an IUD don’t hesitate to see Ellen!

I had a great experiance. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and understanding. They were quick to help me and do all my testing. The building was also beautiful and very clean.

Everybody was wonderful. I never once felt judged, and I felt like they were with me every step of the way. Planned Parenthood has always been and still is a wonderful organization that supports everyone no matter the orientation or culture.

I went there for a pregnancy test and when I was in room waiting, one of the nurses came in the room ask a bunch of questions and asked me if I wanted information about abortion and other resources and I told no I’m not interested and she respected my decision so she left the room as I was waiting for my test results. Another nurse came in toke me my result and handed me the same papers I declined before so I told her I already told you I don’t want but she pretty much forced me to take it and watch me as I left the clinic to make sure I took the paper with me. I did say anything to her, throw the paper away before I left the building but it bothers me how they try to push abortion on people like that. I went there for pregnancy test please just give my result and if I don’t like my result I’ll ask for a resource paper myself but don’t force me to do things I don’t want even though I politely told you that I don’t need one.

Went here because I couldn’t get into my provider and I just should have just taken my chances any where else. I didn’t have insurance and the visit was $300but if I paid today it was $200. I asked if they had options because I just started a jobs and didn’t have insurance well apparently because I have a job I could do payment but my bill would then be $400. Great help. I told the provider what she was doing during the exam and she kept going. Then the medications I had to have because I had a uti they sent in electronically but apparently it could take 2 hours. Which isn’t true but fine. Well I had to call the after hours and still didn’t get it. Worst service ever. Don’t do here

I went there when my primary provider couldn’t get me in and they were so helpful and informative and it was a fantastic experience. Ellen was awesome during my procedure to remove my arm implant and they were super supportive and caring. This facility is awesome and I would recommend it to everyone

Yeah I go there for birth control to help my acne, when I had a UTI or just when I needed an exam down there for the first time. A lot of people go for different reason other than abortion. Part of the reason I go there is because the staff is friendly and I never have a problem with them billing my insurance. Theyre the only place I can go for healthcare and everything goes through right. If I were to go to Providence or Sacred Heart or get a regular doctor not only would I be stuck with a larger bill I would have to fight with them and my insurance trying to have everything correct and the claim going through.They also directed me to sources and where to seek counseling.

I love planned parenthood!! And the staff at the Spokane location have been there for me when my primary Drs werent. They are always so friendly, non judgmental and helpful, in spite of the fact that there are rabid protesters outside nearly every day.. I will continue to support pp. We all must stand together against the antagonistic misogynist culture that has unfortunately become so prevalent..

I have never felt so cared about in any medical establishment. Everyone there was amazing. I felt safe and was well taken care of. They really do care no matter what. Special shout out to the sweet man who works in the parking lot, he is doing an awesome job.

The ER sent me away after taking ultrasounds, deciding nothing was wrong even though I told them exactly what was wrong, and charging me $2K for doing nothing. Planned Parenthood properly charged my insurance, properly listened, properly fixed the problem (embedded IUD) and properly followed up. They know more about womens health issues than the ER and dont rip you off.

I went to get my pill birth control and when I saw they had my perception, they refused to give me my pills. They said I still had 3 weeks left on my pills and at the time I had run out of my pills. They are rude and unprofessional and refuse their service if they dont like how you look or talk. PLANNED PARENTHOOD IS SUPPOSED TO BE EQUAL, NOT REFUSING!!

*Ridiculously expensive for even very short appointments with no treatment or exam involved. And they love to claim they want to support people who struggle with not having insurance, please!*HIV/std testing - hundreds of dollars!! (Go to a county clinic and its free)*Appointment times not adhered to; clinician 30 minutes late and not even an apology! Very disrespectful of time of others.

They are so amazing , staff was so kind and understanding. They were patient with me and gave me all the answers to questions I had. Respected my pronouns and felt very comfortable with everyone there.

I wanted to switch birth control (from iud to pill) and they were super nice and friendly did a breast exam and pap smear the same day they took out my iud. Super nice and professional group and was in and out in less than an hour, would highly suggest this location.

The best place in Spokane to get gender-affirming and reproductive health care. The staff are always wonderful and the work they do is so important.

Planned Parenthood has allowed me to get birth control affordably and is the only place I could find in Spokane I could find that will remove my implant before it expires in a couple months. They are always so kind and helpful idk what I would do without them

My own care provider was amazing, but they botched a referral badly and then they were impossible to get ahold of to fix it. It was really stressful to deal with and they didnt once say were sorry.

Worst experience Ive ever had. Unprofessional doctors. I was suppose to get a call from manager & never did. I left this clinic feeling so uncomfortable. Disappointed in this clinic & hope others dont have to go through the same experience. Do better.

Planned Parenhood is not focused purely on abortion. They offer plenty of other useful things like free checkups, birth control, condoms, STD testing, pregnancy testing, Plan B, all in a non- judgemental environment that makes the patient feel safe and cared for.If you want to focus solely on abortion, fine. Be ignorant. But I for one think Planned Parenthood is a blessing to many men and women in need.

I love this place for everything they do for the community. The only annoying thing about them Is that the appointments take FOREVER. I go to get my shot and end up spending 3 hours there just to get a shot. Every time. Besides that love the people there and what they do

Affordable, wait times have been short when Ive gone in and health center was very covid-conscience. My experiences with staff members have all been very positive

They are a great place for yung females who need help. I suggest every female come here and find out more about your body, especially if you are sexualy active. and remember abortion is always an option!!!
