Four years ago I had the privilege to meet Annie. After being told I would never be able to have children and exhausting every possibility my last resort was Accupuncture. Annie is an Angel sent from heaven. She was the only person to really listen and helped with getting to the root problem and not masking the trillion symptoms I had. Pcos is a very complicated and horrible disease that providers often don’t have the knowledge to treat. I was judged as crazy many times and even ignored. Annie, the owner, is incredible and her practice is like no other acupuncture place I’ve visited. It’s beautiful, therapeutic, relaxing, comfortable, and full of artful details. There are several private, beautifully adorned treatment rooms. Mary Beth always makes sure I have everything I need to get settled in and feel comfortable (and has even gone as far as having my favorite tea waiting for me right after my session!), setting the bed temperature and heat lamp to my preference.I’m a very sensitive person, so I appreciate that the room has very low level, soft glowing lighting (not like the bright medical lights), calming, gentle music, and aromatherapy to awaken my senses. The heated bed and pillow are the most comfortable I’ve ever laid on and have relaxed me right to sleep during every session. While lying on the bed, my mind and heart are at ease while viewing the blue light show and soft shapes moving around on the ceilings. It’s almost meditative for me, and I’m not in a rush, not anxious. not worried. I feel calm and my breathing comes easily. Annie has created a gem of a healing space that you must experience for yourself.

I was 41 when I started to make changes to help my fertility. One of the best things that I did was find Annie and begin regular acupuncture. Annie also helped me with supplements and herbs, and recommended doctors. She is a wealth of information, and I am happy to report I had a healthy baby boy at the age of 43.

She is supportive emotionally as well as through her services. I really wish I had found her sooner and been brave enough to start with her earlier in my journey. I was skeptical about acupuncture in general, but now I fully understand the benefits and completely believe it in. It is so relaxing and an appointment with Annie is an incredible experience. I have been on my fertility IVF journey for two years. After the first failed egg retrieval, I was told to try acupuncture. I google acupuncturist saw her page reached out to Annie and I must say that is the best decision I ever made. She truly cares about her patients. Not to mention very knowledgeable at what she does and beyond. On my second egg retrieval we were able to successfully get six eggs and out of six eggs three of them were tested and viable. Annie is the BEST!! I originally went in to help with my PCOS, thinking I was just getting acupuncture. What I left with was supplements tailored to my needs, and a food plan to help get me on track. I wasn’t expecting all of the knowledge and personal care I received, nor the decrease in anxiety I experienced. Annie took the time to answer any questions I had, and explained the medical reasoning behind it. I ended up getting pregnant, which was my goal, and I will continue my acupuncture appointments because of how much I love them. What can I say about Annie/ Tao of Women Clinic except she is Amazing! Prior to going to her clinic after a disastrous round of IVF. I’m in my forties and the doctor all but hinted that my fertility window may have passed. In desperation I contacted Annie. In a few short months of weekly visits she had me feeling the best I had in years. Her knowledge in her field is expansive. I followed her advice and I’m second round of IVF was a success. As I writes this I can happily report I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant! Annie also treated me during my first trimester and luckily I had a relatively smooth one! I credit acupuncture and Annie for my success!

Annie is an amazing care provider. I went to see her almost every week in the 10 months preceding our very first IVF egg retrieval and continued to see her weekly through our frozen transfer and most of the first trimester of the resulting pregnancy! Before starting IVF I had a lot of confidence the acupuncture would help because within a month or two of seeing Annie I has a noticeable increase in the health of my menstrual cycles. Will 100% recommend Annie. We were trying to conceive and wanted to try Accupuncture. Had a virtual consult with Annie and she told me to give her 6 months. As promised got pregnant within 6months. She is so knowledgeable, welcoming and knows what she is doing.

Our last baby we had been trying for a year, with a miscarriage, and then finally had our son. So a year or so later when we decided we wanted to try again for one more, we knew it would be a tough road. We gave ourselves 6 months, because I just didn’t have it in me for a long drawn out process again. At month 5 and still no positive, a friend told me about Annie and her acupuncture studio. I figured, if this is our Hail Mary last shot, I might as well try. Both me and my husband (who are acupuncture newbies mind you) both signed on for a few sessions right before my ovulation. Now I know typically it’s recommended to do several months of sessions, but this is the time frame we were working with. And guess what, it worked!! We got our positive and are now 18 weeks pregnant expecting our first little girl!! I cannot recommend Annie enough!

I found Annie’s practice when I was looking for a safe, gentle, and effective alternative to fertility medicine. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s after my first child was born, and despite successfully getting my thyroid hormone levels under control about a year later, I could not conceive again. My OB told me that I was not ovulating, had very progesterone levels low enough to be considered menopausal, and had a very thin uterine lining. I tried several rounds of clomid without success. I did some digging on the research available regarding acupuncture and Chinese medicine for fertility, and found that the success levels rivaled and sometimes even exceeded those for IVF. Annie was wonderful from the beginning. She is an extremely warm and welcoming person, and I felt comfortable right away. I felt that she was really listening to me. Chinese medicine takes the whole person into consideration and does not compartmentalize the human being, because becoming pregnant requires that the whole person be in balance. I didn’t understand much about the herbs she prescribed, but I trusted her and I began to see results within 2 weeks; decreased stress levels, better bowel movements, increased cervical mucus, improving basal body temperatures, healthier period, and even happier dreams. I began ovulating, and without any other medical interventions or medication, I became pregnant on my third cycle with Annie. I met Annie quite a few years back. Over the years, she has worked on me utilizing various treatments and combinations of to treat issues I was trying to fix. However, what set her apart was her approach to my treatments.
