Everyone is amazing here. They treat you like a person with individual needs and concerns. My whole family goes here. We always get the full attention of the staff. I genuinely feel like they listen to us. Everything is explained and nothing is pushed on us. Great clinic.

I’ve seen two providers so far and everyone is super nice and helpful. I definitely don’t feel like I’m just another patient, I feel like people here really care about finding answers.

Ive been a patient here for a few years now. Wait times are consistently short when you come in for appointments, and the staff and professionals are easy to talk to. They effectively prioritize your vision of wellbeing, informing you of the health risks that may accompany that vision and helping you find the healthiest way to realize it. Ive never had a bad experience here.

Dr. Ghaemi is the most approachable and empathetic Dr I have ever had. You will feel heard and seen with him and he has an amazing holistic and authentic approach to health! I HIGHLY recommend his services and clinic 💚

Dr Ghaemi and the staff at Traverse Health Clinic are fantastic. From the front desk to the exam room the staff is friendly and they take their time to make sure they understand why you are there.

They are always friendly and professional, and Dr. Hawkins is really good at listening to concerns and communicating whats going on. Most recently Mary put in a lot of work to help me reschedule appointments in a way that works with my busy schedule.

The worst, they made me wait forever, challenged by understanding of MY medical condition, then dismissively told me I was unlikely to really have it (diagnosed by specialists), tore my vein trying to draw blood, and sent me a bill for bandaging the wound they caused. Absolute garbage, stay away.

I asked to be seen ( no appt ) as a walkin.the first person checked the computer, nothing. A second person said, well wait a minute. I was seen about 10 minutes later. Thank you!!

This place is excellent. The staff is kind, thorough, gentle, and caring. The vibe is a nice one, and so human. Its professional, but also way more laid back than most gloomy, big-energy doctors offices, which makes things more comfortable and grants its patients much dignity. I see Christine Hawkins and WOW she is truly an angel. I cant recommend this clinic enough. Its a place for the people. Its a good treasure in this weird town.

Traverse Health Clinic is a great resource for health care. Cristine Hawkins (my provider)and the staff are wonderful and take care of every medical need. I am very grateful and thankful for the people who work at THC. Also if I have to reschedule my appointment for some reason they fit me right in. I just cant imagine having to change to a different place because THC and Christine are like having your own personal professional medical team.

Highly recommended! Dr. Jennifer Bowling is an exceptional doctor and exactly what you want a doctor to behave like. Genuinely concerned for her patients. And Dawn is outstanding as well! This is the best medical team I have ever had in my 49 years on this earth. No bull.

Been having trouble with this office for the past month. Now they called my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and refuse to correct their mistake. Guess I get to figure out how to transfer it myself. If this location was not so close to my office I would 100% leave them. Please do yourself a favor and look for a diffrent practice if your in the market.

She IS THE EXCEPTION in the field of health. She and this place has saved my life countless times.Strongly Recommend!

My first visit was extremely informative. Just a meet and great really, but he understood my concerns instantly. Although uncoplicated we decided on a course of action and labs and follow up appointments were made. Friendly and well executed visit.

I have been a patient at Traverse Health Clinic since 2011. I am ONLY posting a review, because I love them. I was there when they were in Logans Landing. Ive seen nurses and staff come and go. I have medical issues that cause stigmas. MANY places that I go to for medical assistance are at minimal, uncomfortable. Most, dont listen at all. I have stuck with them all this time because even when I wasnt sure my NP was listening, they ALWAYS treated me kindly and warmly. I am facing moving now. I know its unlikely I will afford moving back to Traverse City. STILL they have assured me that I will remain a patient as long as I want as long as I physically come see them in person every six months. Karen Lowe has hands down been one of my best experiences ever. I adore her. She is attentive, well humored, and extremely easy to communicate with. She exudes tolerance and compassion. You wont find a better or kinder nurse than Kyle. And psychiatric NP Kelly Ryan has been REVOLUTIONARY in my world! Not just as a caretaker and in getting medications that ACTUALLY help, but also in looking at myself instead of a broken brain, but as a likely candidate for autoimmune disorders treating a grumpy body. Being heard, being cared for has created more forgiveness and patience for myself than I EVER could have achieved without them. I absolutely hope they continue to succeed as a clinic.

Ive been going to this clinic for a couple of years now and I definitely recommend if youre looking for a new provider to come here. Karen Lowe is my provider and i couldnt be anymore content with her care. Theyre easy to open up to without judgment, so if you need a new provider, I recommend going here.

Dr. Ghaemi is absolutely wonderful and Im so relieved to have him as my primary care physician going forward. He’s kind, compassionate, and comprehensive. The rest of the staff I interacted with was very kind and professional as well.They got me in quickly and made the entire process easy and accessible. You feel like a person at this practice and not just like an arbitrary number/source of irritation. Its a breath of fresh air for medical resources in TC and I will definitely be referring friends and family.

I recently just came to the Traverse Health Clinic. I felt listened to from the first call to set up an appointment, the check in and meeting Jennifer Bowling. It’s a great feeling to have people listen to my concerns about myself and help me make things better.

Same day access to my child’s primary care provider is a 10. I like all the doctors but same day with her primary made my day. Thank you. Very personal care for my daughter. Prescription was prompt accurate. Doctor called to double check with me if she needed liquid. Super grateful. Nurse was amazing as well.

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I really appreciate the text service asking if I want to be on the cancellation list. I did choose this option and I was able to get in10 days early.

Love my doctor! Front desk staff are very great at helping you figure out what doctor would best fit you for what you need to go there for. Also very polite and welcoming. I gave 4/5 because one nurses could be a little more polite and understanding.Other then that great place.

For years Traverse Health Clinic has been my Go To for medical help and guidance. I am ALWAYS treated with friendly respect and excellent service - and - I am listened to. What more could I possibly ask for?

Was 9 minutes late to my to appointment due to weather/traffic. Drove almost 2 hours to get there...they wouldnt see me. Apparently they have a 5 minute late policy here. All that driving with sciatica for nothing. Been coming here for 5 years. NEVER AGAIN! P.S. their providers are constantly taking up to 20 minutes to see me when I am on time, but that is ok, I guess... My provider has even cancelled my appointment the day of 2x in the past 3 months. Feb 28 UPDATE: The C.O.O. of the clinic reached out to me and addressed these issues. Things have been better. So Im going to raise this review from 1 star to 4 stars! Thank you to the staff for recognizing the issues and working to make things better.

Ive been going there about 3 years. My insurance would pay for a regular doc at a fancy office, but Im so happy with Linda Rasmussen, a nurse practitioner, that I would be very sad to lose her. Ive never had a long wait time. Linda takes all the time that I need, and I feel respected and valued and not judged. They serve a lot of the under-served community and Im happy to support them.

Doctors who still listen to their patients! Super nice staff. Very helpful and you dont have to schedule months in advance. Jennifer Bowling is AMAZING!

I have been a regular patient for nearly 10 years. Ive always had a positive experience with the staff. Having access to the patient portal makes scheduling and refills simple. I appreciate the email and text alerts for upcoming appointments.

I was nervous having to find a new Doctor after moving up here from downstate. Everyone has been wonderful! Appointments run on time, they will work with you on payments, couldn’t be happier that I made the choice to come here.I’m adding on to this review because as a patient now for 2 1/2 years, I still love everyone that I’ve worked with and would still highly recommend it to anyone in need of a place that provides great care and service!

All staff extremely friendly and helpful. I can usually call and get appointment same day with my doctor or another physician.TCHC Doctors are attentive 100% of the time and listen to whatever problems you may need to discuss while providing positive, immediate solutions.I would highly recommend Amber Ristow-PA to anybody looking for a new general practitioner.

Amber Ristow is a fantastic provider. You can tell she actually cares and absolutly listens to you. Im a kinda complicated case and she always keeps up with whats going on. I used this office for the past couple years. The only problem Ive ever had was when certain nurses would take my blood pressure and zip through it and say it was normal. I know when my blood pressure is up.... when my provider Amber Ristow came in the room, I told her about it. She checked it herself and it was up. This happened multiple times. Im happy to say that the nurse that I dealt with yesterday ACTUALLY took my blood pressure. Im thankful for that. All of the office staff a really friendly and helpful and my provider is always attentive, friendly and cares.

I have had the same shot for over 5 years in the same areas. They argued with me that it needed to be somewhere else. So I gave up let the nurse do whatever she wants because she knows best even though I have never met her. Felt like they wanted see more of me than they didnt need to see. I will not be going there again.

Jennifer Bowling, NP, is who I see.She is one very, smart lady. She has a heart of gold. She is very compassionate with her patients and always looks out for what is best for each and everyone of us. I left my primary Doctor for to go to her. I have been going to her for two years now and will continue to follow her anywhere her job may take her, thats how good she is. Since seeing her, she has brought my Cholesterol down as well as my sugar level, and better at keeping my Thyroid level where it should be. For a while, before seeing her, my Cholesterol was high and my sugar level was boarder line, pre- diabetic. Now I am in a lot safer level. My other Doctor never even bothered. He never seemed too concerned. Well, I never felt too concerned about walking away from him either. I am in much better hands. Thank you Jennifer, youre a real sweetie.

Dr. Ghaemi is a great choice of primary care physicians. If you want a Dr. you can share your personal information with, he’s a very good choice. Meet him!

Every time I go in for a appointment, I feel judged, I’m treated rudely and I feel very uncomfortable with all of the receptionists. I have repeatedly had to and I’m currently having to BEG for a refill on all of my prescriptions! And these prescriptions are necessary every day. They know this. I had an appointment 5 days ago (waited for an hour in the waiting room btw) and they still have not been refilled. Initially I received great care from this office. I’ve been a patient at traverse health clinic for 3 years now and gradually over time the treatment has gotten absolutely terrible. It’s sad because it would be so much easier to have a better standard of care. I feel terrible for anyone who is in worse health than me that has to go through traverse health.

I love this place. Very small town feel. They know me when I go in even though I just started going there a few years ago. Jody is always super happy and it makes my day seeing her always smiling at the front desk. Jamie is also top notch and super helpful. My doctor Linda is patient, kind, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new primary.

The Traverse Health Clinic for me is the top Clinic to date. They have the most helpful, friendly and caring staff I have ever encountered. Jody is an Angel and without her assistance I would not have been able to get anything done. Moving 1500+ miles and needing to sign up as a new patient, she went above and beyond to ensure I was able to get everything in order. It is staff like this that make it possible for patients to get the proper care needed. I recommend this Clinic to anyone who needs top medical care with caring staff who do their job for all the right reasons. I regularly see the Nurse Practitioner Linda Rasmussen and she always takes time to hear my concerns and expedites any needed treatments. I genuinely feel seen!

I’ve been going to this clinic for over 12 years. I think the service has gotten better to be honest. There used to be such long wait times. They would tell you to come in early for your appointment, and then you would wait two hours (sometimes longer) past your appointment time. On more than one occasion I actually had to leave to make it to work on time, missing my appointment completely.For the last couple of years that wait time has changed dramatically. I come in early and get checked in and wait maybe 10-20 minutes before they call me back for my appointment. This is a huge deal in my opinion.

This was my first visit to the health clinic and I was so very impressed! Everyone was friendly, professional and caring. I was particularly impressed with m NP Karen Lowe - who I felt was thorough, engaged, professional with a welcoming & caring way. . Emily and Linda who make up the care team that i interacted with were the same - I felt welcomed and well cared for - definitely will return

They were on time, which is unusual for a doctors office! Every staff member I talked to was very kind and patient as I answered questions and told my concerns. My primary care doctor is Linda Rasmussen and I enjoyed meeting and discussing my health with her. The front desk women were also helpful and extremely friendly! I have had nothing but wonderful care from Traverse Health Clinic since I moved back to the area. I originally had a rocky time of finding a doctor. Due to COVID I met My care giver, Linda Rasmussen via phone. She took the time to understand what my needs were, and to set me up with consults at the pain clinic and with a neurosurgeon. The staff phoned me on two occasions to check on the progress of the consults. Not only did it make me feel like someone actually cared enough to make sure I was getting the proper care, but it gave me a feeling of confidence in my team! Having been a nurse, I am very pleased to say, I think I have a great team caring for me, and I would highly recommend them.

The staff is always very pleasant and very helpful. Getting medication refills are very easy and done in a timely manner. Karen Lowe NP is a great provider. She listens to your health concerns and doesnt make you feel rushed for time. I cant say enough good things about this office! I would recommend them to anyone!

They provide great care in office and never have a problem giving me a referral to any specialist I ask for. They have rotating specialists in the office as well ie: podiatry, psychiatry, etc.The only thing they could do better is have imaging, like x-ray and ultrasound, on site. However, they are funded publicly and through grants so they are doing the best they can, which really is great. Ive recommended them to many people who seem very happy with their care.

My provider, Mary Lee Pakieser is absolutely wonderful! I have been going to them for years and highly recommend. I have also seen other providers when mine was not available and they all were very attentive and kind. The receptionists can be short sometimes but I imagine they treat folks as they are treated. Be kind to them, they are kind back. I have never had to wait an extended period of time here and if they are late taking you in, they usually have something unusual going on. I recommend Traverse Health Clinic to all of my friends. Some I know have also went there and Love their provider also. Linda Rasmussen is also very good. Mary is the one I have been seeing and she is amazing!

I found a great NA that listened to what I said and seemed genuinely interested in what is wrong with me.

I’ve been helped several times fromFlu to addiction and they have always accepted my insurances no matter what kind I had gave me free drugs when they have had them available offered to help get rides to my appts and treated me with total respect and were willing to prescribe me controlled substances once I was clean and sober did not make me suffer for being an addict they rescheduled when I needed them to . Gave my work notes when needed they made sure I had the vaccines I needed I was taken care of when I hAd become a widow and could not and did not care about myself I give them 2 thumbs up for sure

Being new to the area, I originally went here because they were open late and I wanted to see someone asap. Their patient portal is simple to use, and it integrates more features than most I have seen, including telehealth visits. Completing the intake questionnaire through my phone kept me from spending any extra time in the waiting area, I was in an exam room right after I checked in.I have quite a bit of experience in the last few years with good and bad doctor visits, but I do not usually leave reviews either way. Reading the reviews here confirms that people usually only leave reviews when they have a bad experience, while others think that 4 out of 5 stars is a good rating, when its really a B- :(Happily, I see no signs of the issues raised in other patients reviews. I switched my primary care to here, and will switch my sons to here if his new pediatrician doesnt impress.

My husband and I had an excellent first meeting with our new PCP. After moving to Bellaire from downstate. We researched doctors and landed on Dr Ghaemi. So far, we’re very happy with our choice!

I like that I’ve had no problem getting appointments. The providers I’ve seen have taken time to talk and treat with a great bedside manner.

I want to start this review by saying I have tears in my eyes writing this. My nerves were shot by the time I actually stepped foot into the office for my appointment. I hadnt seen a doctor regularly in over a decade and was extremely fearful of what they may find.The moment I walked in the door, and was greeted my worries melted away. The kindness of the registration ladies, and the way they made me feel right at home was amazing.Emily was sweet, listened to me without judgement, and even shared a little of her own personal life to make me feel more at ease about the things I was telling her. :)Karen was caring, personable, and I could tell that she truly wants to get to know her patients. Building a bond with them that is honest, and open, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who feels as if they would be judged by their past or present lifestyles. I never once felt the entire time like I have felt in so many other doctors offices before. (Part of the reason I havent been seeing one).Sara was a wizard. I cant think of a better word LOL. I have a true fear of needles due to past experiences where I was poked repeatedly due to jumping veins. I have left offices with arms that look like I was in a rumble. Well, if I hadnt been watching I wouldnt have even known she stuck me :). She was also so very sweet, gentle, and personable.In a nutshell I would recommend this doctors office to anybody and everybody. I look forward to working with them to keep me healthy, and I honestly feel like they do as well.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the service this clinic provided my granddaughter. The entire staff, especially Patty, we’re so kind and patient. They answered all of our concerns and didn’t make us feel like we took too much of their time. I was also impressed with the condition and cleanliness of the clinic. I am a former patient (i recently moved). I loved my doctor, she was genuine and definitely concerned for me. However, the secretaries/receptionists are extremely rude. I constantly felt judged for questions i had or what i was visiting for. They also made me feel stupid for questions i asked and were unable to help me. I’m honestly happy to not have to work with them anymore specifically for that reason.

Ive always felt very secure and found them trustworthy with any medical need at Traverse Health clinic Ive been a patient for many years the staff is very efficient and compassionate as well. They are knowledgeable in all types of care needed and can refer for any major things that are beyond just pcp care.

I found this doctors office when I had no insurance. They have a sliding scale fee, counseling, and a lab onsite so I do not have to go somewhere else for my healthcare needs. They treat me with respect and listen and address any concerns I have. The recovery team is amazing as well. I absolutely love my peer recovery coach and nurse! Theyre just amazing and I cant say enough about them.

I have been a patient with the Traverse Health Clinic for several years and have Patricia Bauer as my Nurse Practitioner. I could not have asked for better care. Patty has always gone over and above to help me as I have extremely difficult and complicated medical issues, often requiring specialists and testing and procedures. Patty truly cares about me as a person and not just another patient. Her care and compassion exceeds any and all other medical care Ive ever received. When other doctors in the Traverse City area gave up on trying to help me or became frustrated with the vast number of medical issues I have, Patty never gave up on me and she has been instrumental in giving me the care I need. I have also worked with other practitioners within the Traverse Health Clinic and they also have that same care and compassion. The clinic itself also goes above and beyond to meet my medical needs. Whether its a question about my care or a medication, scheduling tests and procedures or setting up appointments with specialty physicians, the entire staff has always been caring, professional and compassionate, and goes out of their way to help me. I cannot recommend the Traverse Health Clinic any higher and would not want anyone else providing my care.

I love this place, great staff, always make me feel like they know me and care about me, unlike most factory like doctors these days. I drive over an hour each way to get there every week, but would rather do that than get an impersonal doctor close by where I live. I am on the suboxone program there and havent had any problems following the rules so far, knock on wood, lol. The doctors, nurses, counselors, and the recovery coach I see are all great. Scheduling has been a bit hairy but they are working on it and a new system is supposed to be taking place, once thats set Ill give it 5 stars.I have read through a lot of the reviews on here and noticed that if you go back over a year or two ago they are pretty bad, the most recent are all pretty good, it seems like they must have changed a lot about the office in the last year or two, glad I am coming in now because as I said, its some of the best care Ive received in a long time.

I always get quality care. My counselor is so easy to talk to she is an Awsome listener. My nurse practitioner Jennifer bowling is such a good np. She has the best bed side manners. She does everything she can to listen and help u. Im so comfortable with her. I recommend everyone to go there. Jody the receptionist is also Awsome. They make u feel like u are part of their family. Dr. Gerstan is also a good Dr. There. Overall I love going there. Thank you everyone there.

This is pertaining to the counseling side of the clinic. I understand we are in a pandemic so the office is accommodating appointments via phone for patients. For whatever reason, the call went straight to voicemail, it never rang and she had it in her hand the entire time waiting for you. Now in all fairness, this could be a connection issue as we are rural (now) but YOU were 6 minutes late for the appointment call when it was missed. My daughter called back within 2 minutes of your call, its time stamped and was told she needed to reschedule since she missed the call. Since we had a 45 minute slot, this is unacceptable! She needs this care and I went out of my way to get home on time so she had access to a phone for this appointment!

I highly recommend Traverse Health Clinic!  Our toddler was recently very sick and we needed an appointment right away.  We were extremely worried, especially due to all the unknowns surrounding Covid-19.  The clinic was able to see us immediately and all the staff were kind and reasurring.  My wife did the contactless intake packet online in a matter of minutes and found it to be extremely user friendly.  We are grateful for their flexibility, expertise, and availability.

Everything is extremely clean and pristine and they genuinely want to help those from all different backgrounds and insurance needs.

Staff goes above and beyond to care for their patients. Always greeted with care and compassion. Short wait times and very organized establishment. Care providers take time to listen and explain all aspects of your appointment should you have questions.

Everything here is so efficient. I can message my doctors team through an app and request refills without calling. They always have reminder calls the day before your appointment. They remotely send prescriptions so youre not having to take a piece of paper in somewhere.

Horribles doctors office with one of the most frustrating Physicians that Ive ever run across in my 40 years they dont care about the patients well-being they dont care to help someones life become better they live by the motto take some vitamins and supplements and hear some cream if I cut my leg off this would never be a place I would come if referred to

This is a care management clinic. They meet and make sure your care is the best. I am on the suboxone program and it saved my life. Patricia Bauer is an excellent health care provider. Shes extremely knowledgeable about evidence based medicine and care approaches. I feel very heard at every appointment, which is remarkable for womens health care. My five stars are for her specifically.

I GUARANTEE, MANY OF THE OTHER REVIEWS HERE ARE BAD FAITH ENDORSEMENTS, NOT REAL PATIENTS, OR AT VERY LEAST, FOLKS WHO BENEFIT FROM TOUTING THCs MERITS.1+ year later- not a single word from any staff at thc. i contact insurance provider, get referral for new clinic, go to new clinic-they need records transferred to proceed, sign release waiver (3 weeks ago), thc rita calls 3x to check & see if i want records transferred, while shes LOOKING AT the SIGNED REQUEST in front of her.To be 100% clear: when i 1st visited thc almost 3 yrs ago, i was apprehensive about switching to their care. they absolutely HOUNDED me to sign a release waiver to get my medical records...a lady literally chased me down to make sure i signed this release. i was unaware that doing so would terminate my care by previous provider. thc KNEW exactly what they were doing then, and now after almost 1-1/2 years of complete silence from them, are intentionally balking, releasing from being designated my primary care provider.6 mos later- SERIOUSLY READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW: 100% factual. Traverse Health Clinic prescribed to me Schedule 2 substance (adderall) for over 6 months and when covid hit, COMPLETELY abandoned me. No prescription calls. Emails No wellness check in, NOTHING. Until below mentioned update 2 days AFTER I posted original review.I challenge them to publicly post a rebuttal or explanation for any of this. If you dont see one, ask them why. Then reach out to me please.**Absolutely LOVED Willow, and exclude her from any of this. She was nothing but professional and kind throughout...yet never reached out after review. If not Id be incredibly disappointed.UPDATE: received vm 2 days after posting and nurse stated, letting you know, youre STILL in our system... Then proceeded to inquire about it Cologard kit Id requested over 6 monthx ago...Original post:Absolute travesty of medical care, across the board. Complete, one stop, shopping with shameless multi-level, incompetent care. ie: Not feeling well/ lethargic/ depressed. Go for a well being checkup, doctor is a nurse practitioner with little experience. Listens to your heart, takes bp, pulse. All done...see you in 3-4 weeks for progress check. Then, pressed by intake specialist to take advantage of on site mental health staff. Schedule for later in the week. Again, unqualified therapist listens to your story. Comments. Would you like to reschedule? See you next Thursday...by the way we have a psychologist on staff who could maybe help with some meds. Shes only in on Thursdays...hey, theres an opening, after your next Thursday appt w/ me. Ok. 2nd therapy visit, same as first. Done. See psychologist. Thinks youd really benefit from #%^$&*-anine...Im only a nurse practitioner, need to get an md to write script. We have one on staff, only on Friday. Pick up script on Friday. Cant see psychologist, again for almost 6 weeks, cuz shes only in on Thursdays, and over booked/on vacation. 3-4 more visits at 4-8 week intervals, to get meds/dosage changed. Meds are narcotic and have to call/come in every 30 days to get new script. Go for follow up with medical nurse practitioner. Appt. at 2:15. Wait in lobby til 4pm. The intake specialist calls you back, takes weight and bp. Sit in room for another 45 minutes for dr to come in and effectively does nothing...Repeat, for several months... covid hits, completely reliant on meds for almost 5 months. Not one, wellness check/phone call/voicemail; need a prescription refill?, how ya doing? Have you slit your wrists, yet? NOTHING. Been without meds since the end of February. Havent heard a word from traverse health clinic nor any of their staff. Dont want to. Wouldnt go anywhere near the place, if I were bleeding to death. EVER!!! Nothing but a multi faceted, medical opportunists smorgasbord. Would rate a -5, if i could.

I see Jennifer Bowling a certified nurse practitioner and she is very empathetic, responsive to my needs and has a great knowledge base! I could not imagine going anywhere else! Yes, they are that great!!

If I could give negative stars I would. They will never see my kids when theyre sick all they do send us to Urgent care. Terrible medical help. If you actually need medical assistance in this town apparently your only choice is Urgent Care and ER. I guess no one else is qualified. This place sucks!!

I called to make an appointment, while scheduling I inquired about how much it would cost for the appointment because I currently do not have insurance. The woman I talked to told me it wouldn’t be a charge as it was just a consultation to touch on why I would be seeing the doctor and to talk about their sliding pay scale. I showed up to my appointment only to be caught off guard when checking out it would be $200 for the visit I was originally told would be no charge. Make sure when scheduling to ask who you are talking to. I wouldn’t want someone else to be in the position I was in. In my case it wasn’t an emergency and I would have waited a month for my insurance to become active. I was very disappointed.

Completely disappointed. I had 2 bad encounters before I even was able to be seen by anyone. When I called to make my appointment, I spoke with Jody. She needed my dads birthday for insurance reasons and I didnt know it off hand (we arent close by any means & he barely remembers my bday lol) and she said shame on you. Assuming she has a close family, i brushed it off and explained that my dad and I arent close. Thinking that this is pretty unprofessional for her to say that but whatever.I go to my appointment today and I was directed to go in one at a time by someone else waiting outside. So it took an extra 10 mins before I even got to the Ring doorbell to say I was there. Rita checked me in at the counter and right away she rudely said yeah you shouldve been here 10 mins ago theyve been waiting on you i explained how I was directed to wait and only doing what I was told. She continued to tell me its my fault and I shouldve went up to the lady outside. I explained I didnt even know who she was talking about and im visibly getting upset at this point. Explaining once again that I was only following directions I was told. Shes now getting upset at me and not even looking at me while basically saying I shouldve known better. When I actually was there the whole time. The whole encounter she was rude and cold, even her coworker had to step in to apologize for her (which she never did). I ended up leaving after this.. I called back to talk to Management and Jody answered the phone. Yay. She apologized for her actions and realized she was rude and kept saying she was just trying to be funny. Honestly my whole view of the place is not good and extremely unprofessional. Im glad I didnt actually get seen by a doctor there if the first people you see are that judgemental and rude.

First off, the staff here (with the exception of Dr.Donna Rinker) have a long way to go if they want to be considered a reputable,respectable and sought after medical clinic. There is a lady that works up front named Jamie is rude, snobbish and hardly had the intelligence to flip a hamburger. I have waited over an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time on several occasions. I would not recommend anyone here..especially if you want to be seen and get outta Also, instead of telling you its ti me to schedule an appointment to be seen they instead say they wont fill any of your scripts until you come in. Im diabetic and cant go without my insulin for a day before I could be in critical condition. Im fact, this happened to me last month. I called for a refill on my insulin and was told you will have to schedule and come and be seen before we will fill those meds. As a result I spent three days in the ICU. Take a little time and find a better clinic(Munson).

Grand Traverse Health Clinic Has been my primary care provider for several years now. They have been there to help me with all medical related needs. Administration, nurses, and care professionals are all top notch!! Thank you!!

Do not see Linda Rasmussen. I needed a not for my work because I cant wear a mask because of a medical condition. Because of the high risk of covid right now she couldnt, I understand. She did say if I went in after hours, when no one was there, it was well ventilated, and I sanitized all surfaces I came in contact with, that would be fine for me not to wear one. She wrote me a note that was basically one long sentence, was not very clear and didnt even reference my medical condition. So when my employer refused it because of that and I asked her to write one that was clearer and did reference I had a medical condition, she refused. So now, who knows if I keep my job because she sucks at english and cant take the time to re-write a note properly. EFFING RIDICULOUS.

Took our kids out of school for my son’s annual check up. Arrived 7 mins late due to the icy roads and was forced to reschedule. The woman at the front desk forced my husband to reschedule and the soonest available… end of January.

The doctor I saw was very informative on any questions I had and listened to everything I had to say and gave excellent feedback. I wasnt pressured into anything and felt thats my needs and wants were acheived. I highly suggest if your looking for a doctor to go here!

Everyone was nice & professional, from phone call, return call, reception, Medical Assistant, NP, and billing lady. I got in, (sick, same day). Not crowded, ans, it was clean.

My husband and I both recieve our Healthcare from TCHC. Our NP is excellent and always goes the extra mile to assist us. The medication and financial assistance programs are a real blessing. Thank You!

Was told my wife had lumps on her thyroid, after Dr Virginia told this to my wife, we decided to get a second opinion. When Dr Virginia learned this she went and cancelled referrals to the biopsy dr and for a swallow test that was needed for a blockage in my wifes throat. They are a bunch of jokers. And when the other doctors that were suppose to do the biopsy and swallow test learned this they still let us get the test done because they said it was very childish what they were doing and they were appalled at there actions. Not to mention the secretary people are so rude. This place is a joke. Dont recommed this place what so ever they give doctors offices a bad name.

Was referred there by another clinic. They took my blood pressure and it was extremely low. I was asked about chest pains, dizziness, etc. I told them I felt fine, ( I went for a high blood sugar count). They hooked me up to an EKG and said I was near cardiac arrest. I said I felt fine and that I had my blood pressure checked a few hours ago and it was great.They called an ambulance, saying they would not let me leave. 2 mins before the ambulance got there, they checked my blood pressure again and it was normal. After all the medical jargon that the PA told North Flight, about my condition, it was determined that they were wrong and I didnt need the ambulance ride, which was confirmed by Munson ER.Traverse Health can pay for my ambulance bill as far as Im concerned. Thay should have checked everything before jumping off the deep end and putting quite the scare into me.Avoid these folks

So many positive things I could say about the health care I receive here , heres a few. family oriented, friendly helpful staff , especially when I needed help with paying my bill they have a sliding fee payment available , that helps a lot ... they wont turn you away if you dont have insurance (2 thumbs up)

Used to be a free clinic where uninsured cancer patients would wait in the waiting room for 4 hours to receive subpar care from a registered nurse. They cleaned the place up from the old YMCA building but you can still experience the same subpar care from underqualified registered nurses, now available at a higher cost.

After Patty Bower left this place wasnt the same. I will not go there ever again. It was very impersonal and the nurse treated me like I was a liar. I had been going there for over a decade and I will never go back. The new nurse and her awful assistant were very unprofessional. I will never go back.

Would love to say something good about them however be uncaring by Cristine Hawkins when their nurse practitioners seems to be a little bit on the Absurd side I called in my prescription for refill 12 days ago I am now completely out that means I wont be sleeping because its for my legs so I can sleep at night I dont have another appointment until the 21st which means I wont be sleeping for the next week and a half they dont seem to care they did all their tests they had me sign all the other papers 8 days ago they just cant get it together I am taking my family to some other doctor because this place is not worth the aggravation.

The doctors and their team are very nice and they listen and go out of their way to help, they really care about you as a patient!

I see Virginia Barrett and she is so caring and considerate. She is one of the few that will liaten and do her best to help me. Both her and her team are great, caring and compassionate people

Trying to get someone to talk to me or my son about his medication. Leave voicemail, no return calls. My son has been without his medication for a month, not very healthy for him. The Dr up his dosage, and the pharmacy needs to get referrals from the physician, and the physician hadnt done it. Meanwhile my son is fighting anxiety, depression, cant sleep or focus. Its been a nightmare!

Friendly atmosphere. Very helpful employees. Dr Ghaemi really helpful in getting me the help I need.

After being a patient for over two years Im being treated like an idiot. I requested a test to be done and had to get the manager involved to have it ordered as if they were paying for it. Theyre not good with following up on tests and medication. Would NOT recommend this office.

The staff at the clinic are all kind and helpful. When one leaves a message to have someone call they always call.They are very helpful at changing appointments also.They are a good group of professionals.

So far so good. I have struggled with my PCP over meds at times, but I think now we see eye to eye. ;)

You guys do everything to the t and you guys respect and listen to your patience and you guys even make sure that everything is done so you guys know whats wrong with the person that you guys are saying that day. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They offer a program in combination with the farmers market and MSU. It is an excellent program where they teach you how to prepare fresh produce. You also recieve tokens for every class that you take which equals to the equivalent of money to purchase any produce of your choice.

Theyre right on top of all the newest advances. They pay attention to YOU. I never did get a handle on the portal thing so they text me what I need to know. They really keep you in the loop, and explain everything in laymans terms

The receptionist a rude and Im not sure I most recently spoke to but it seems they arent hiring the smarts or women either. There is NEVER and available appt. If you desperately need to get in its an extremely upcharge. So if you want a doctor that you will never be able to see please sign up to be a patient and the traverse city health clinic.

Amber Ristow listens to her patients and generally cares. Amber Ristow does everything she can to resolve prescription issues and doesnt push prescription medications on you.

The team at Traverse Health responds with compassion, knowledge and immediate care. I would highly recommend TH for anyone.

Ive only been here almost a year and every time I come I sit in lobby for over 30 mins after my scheduled time and as soon as I get back to the room I wait to see the dr for another 30 to 40 mins my appointment was at 11 today Im in a room stIll havent seen the dr and its 11:55!!! This is every visit!!

I am new to Michigan and have some health issues and trying to find a doctor here was going to take me over 6 weeks....I called Traverse Health Clinic and explained my problem and they went above and beyond...Healthcare in this country is awful but its the staff and providers I found here that give hope that this healthcare can be fixed....Also the staff was great and also helped me with questions about a drivers test I have to take to get my Michigan drivers license...the young lady took the time to actually explain roundabouts to me.This is the definition of not just good service BUT OF BEING A CARING PERSON...THIS IS A GREATPLACE AND I AM HONORED TO BE A PATIENT.......

Finally found a Drs office that delivers excellent care, even for people with difficult or hard to treat issues! Im still blown away at the service I get from them.

Their assistance specialist help me apply for insurance. After 3 months of not getting any response from dhs and several calls to this agent without any response I called she only to found out no application was submitted.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If I have emergencies, they get me in ASAP, and take care of me in a very timely manner.

Always professional and they work with my insurance. Decent hours and flexibility of scheduling.

Terrible. Been patient for 5 and half years originally was decent first year than each year became worse hope you like being treated like a robot or a prisoner.

Drs and nurses are really nice and helpful. Treats pts with courtesy and respect.

Ive been here 4 times and each time I have a long wait and they dont follow up on anything. I at my current appointment have been waiting for almost an hour to be seen. No one is communicating.

I have never seen a doctor after all of the years I have been going here. I do not feel they listen to what I have going. When I state anything it gets brushed aside

They made getting a COVID Screening so easy and they were able to get me in within a few hours of calling!!!

Dont be young and have medical issues because if you do this place is one of the worst to goto. If you know what is wrong with yourself dont say ANYTHING because that means youre wrong apparently. Also refusing to listen to the actual issues.
