Seeing the reviews, especially one by a so-called Eris, I must say this. I visited this clinic. I had an abortion. I was, and remain, unashamed. Because as an adult woman, I can make my own decisions over my own body. There were protesters outside, who yelled things in order to shame me and make me feel disgusted with myself. They failed, deeply, to make me hate what I had done. I made my choice, I executed my rights. You cannot shame me for that. The clinic has escorts posted outside each time the protesters show up, and they are very kind and understanding people who guide you to and from your vehicles - you can identify them by their rainbow vests. They do everything to make sure you feel safe and comfortable, even from the first steps into the parking lot.You do not hear any screams in the clinic. They do not pull anything away from you or out of you. That is gross misinformation. The nurses are very clear on procedures, and you have options with them. They are kind, compassionate, and will explain things as deeply as you need them to be explained. The doctor worked quickly and made me as comfortable as possible. There is nothing wrong with making the choice to have an abortion. God doesnt love you any less than he did the day before. If any self-respecting Christian tries to preach to you otherwise, know that they speak only false verse. God is forgiving. He understands women, and understands the choices we often have to make. Do not let those of differing opinions shame you or frighten you away from your choices.Make the choice you want to make. Do what you need to do. Its your body, theres no need to be ashamed.

Doc Torres was very sweet with me and that staff were awesome! Waited a while but with Covid-19 going around and this being one of the very few abortion clinics in Alabama, I was understanding of the process. They also provide financial assistance for you, and I was very grateful to receive it!

This clinic is an incredible place with people who truly care. They do everything they can to provide a safe and positive environment. Alabama has a lot of restrictive laws meant to deter people from accessing the abortions they need and this facility does everything they can to make this experience as time efficient and affordable as possible.

Abortions are NOT illegal in Alabama, this law has not gone into effect, and likely won’t since they are aiming at having this reach the Supreme Court. Please understand that long wait times are to be expected when there are only 2(!) abortion clinics in all of Alabama.I hope women don’t ever feel the need to visit here, but if you do PLEASE know that the zygote in your uterus is NOT an unborn baby, and would not survive outside the womb at the stage of pregnancy when you would have an abortion performed. God Bless you, on your journey through life, and may he bless you with a child when YOU are ready, if that is what you would want.Heavenly Father protect these women from the evil, shameful, hateful people that would try to control their bodies, keep them safe from harm during any procedures, bless their bodies with your holy light and heal their fear. Amen.

I made the choice. Unfortunately I had the WORST EXPERIENCE! The excruciating pain during my procedure is not what I’m referring to…. It’s the 2 months of bleeding on and off(although, that is to be expected)… what isn’t normal is the odd feeling of my lower abdomen. It felt weird and the bloated feeling never went away.. I would have days I felt unusually tired. Last week (9/14/2021) it REALLY began!! Out of nowhere I felt a big GUSH!! Followed by another and another… it was continuing to come out of me! I thought it wouldn’t stop! My 6 year old daughter witnessed ALL of this ! I had no clue what to do?!Being a single mother Laying on the floor bleeding like I had been the victim of a vicious crime left to bleed to death!!I crawled to the bathroom and sat in the bathtub with my blood soaked clothes as I was doing my best to assure my little girl mommy is ok as she runs to get me some clothes and asking what she do to help?….. no doubt it was traumatizing to her!…I pulled off my clothes and rinsed off the blood. As I noticed the bleeding had stopped… I started to feel better and as I was standing to help my daughter with her homework, I dropped to my knees as I could feel something I can only describe as if I had a balloon filling up inside me another gush. It had a large piece of tissue. It wasn’t a clot because I looked and moved it around.. I’ve had clots but never this large! This was like a hunk of flesh!!After that, I just prayed that was it was over.. and it was… Until around 3:00 on Wednesday 9/15/2021.. it started and it wasn’t going to stop!I was taken to the Emergency Room and they ran every blood test and preformed an ultrasound transvaginally and found that I had an incomplete abortion! I was sent for an emergency D&C. It was midnight at this point so the bleeding was monitored through the night. On Thursday 9/16/2021 I had surgery to PROPERLY have a D&C to remove the remaining tissue and scrape the thicked tissue from my uterus. The amount of blood I had come out of me in those two days were unbelievable! One of the scariest things I’ve ever had happen to me! Also, as I was walking in the hospital for surgery I had an ungodly amount of blood and tissue expel and I was embarrassed and I was disgusted…the lack of medical incompetence from “Dr” Leah Torres.Oh yeah she was extremely nice and I put my life in her hands. Trusting a Doctor to preform a surgical procedure safely and completely! With that said… women are going to have abortions. I don’t think one person is excited about having an abortion. It’s unfortunate that abortion happens. I don’t judge anyone who has one. Until you are in the shoes of that person you have no idea what is happening in their life. Maybe more education to prevent unplanned pregnancies, along with education on sexual abuse, sexual transmitted diseases, may have a lower percent of women who are seeking abortion??But we should really think about it. If these doctors are not getting proper medical equipment, education, sterile environments, medical staff?? This WILL continue to happen again ! It’s not worth risking the lives of women to basically force them to desperate measures and the clinic’s don’t have proper medical standards to provide SAFE MEDICAL procedures! I don’t want ANYONE else to experience what I had happen or worse. Death. And I know women have died from abortion. These unfortunate events may have been prevented by a well trained and fully equipped medical practice that has the ability to safely care for women in a Proper Surgical environment. Equivalent to a procedure done in a hospital with a full surgical staff! License and Board certified. It’s been one week since my emergency D&C and I feel so much better! I go next week for a post surgery appointment. Thank God I was able to get proper care! Hopefully laws will change and this won’t happen.. but it’s not looking like it’s going to happen..

HORRIBLE SERVICE ! HORRIBLE STAFF ! HORRIBLE DOCTOR! Doctor told me in the middle of the procedure that I could not scream or express discomfort! Staff did NOT give me any discharge paperwork nor did they attempt to make me feel comfortable AT ALL ! There is NO PRIVACY ! Overall this was the most unprofessional, most ghetto TRAUMATIZING experience I’ve EVER received from any medical facility! Again I repeat HORRIBLE SERVICE !

Wonderful clinic. Very professional. I hope they are able to stay open in spite of the outdated laws trying to prevent women from having autonomy over their bodies. Thank you!

Everyone is really nice and they do best with what they have!!! It’s not their fault Alabama is a very conservative state which is why they don’t have sufficient resources. They are the most understanding and compassionate people!
