AFC Urgent Care Valley Stream

Update: I visited the location after I received a call back, and staff was very accommodating and hospitable. I was in and out and receive the appropriate referral for x-rays. Feel free to visit this location.I normally visit another location, but this location is closer to my home. Staff is neglecting to answer phone calls to see if an x-ray technician can come in. The facility has been open for 10 minutes, and it looks as though no one is available to answer the phone. Very upsetting.

The condition and poor upkeep of the property belies the excellent health care delivered within. I suggest that you have the outside maintained and don’t feel as though my community is worth anything less. I have seen your facilities and other Long Island towns, and the property is meticulously manicured. I expect nothing less.Note: before I even exited the facility, my above posted statement was fully addressed by facilities staff and I am most appreciative.I have had excellent care delivery by Dr. Ali! The internal facility is excellently, kept and all of the facility staff are professional, helpful, and kind. I’m glad to have this center so close to me.

After the I filled out my forms I showed my ID. My daughter and I sat down and was immediately called to go to an exam room. I had my blood pressure checked and went over my medical history. Next I had a series of test done. Some were the rapid and some were sent to the lab. All test were negative. I was very impressed with the Valley Stream Urgent Care on Dutch Broadway. I had a great experience at this urgent care. The manager, Dona, was very helpful. She was very accommodating to my needs and as a patient that is the most important aspect of receiving care at a medical facility. The staff, Samantha and Kiran— were very helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone who requires medical attention to visit this facility.

Had to take my 4 year old here as my usual urgent care was closed. Front desk staff was efficient and courteous.We were called to the back after about 10 minutes. The medical assistant on duty was attentive, calm, mannerable and interacted with my son which I liked. She explained what she was doing and why.The doctor on call was equally the same.My only drawback is the wait time in the exam room for thr doctor to come in.Otherwise, would 100% return here if needed.

Staff is very nice and professional. My finger had a deep cut and they work hard to stop bleeding and gave me tetanus shot .Im thankful to them to take care of me .

My daughter spoke with someone about a medical assistant position who I guess is the hiring manager the other day and let me just say who ever hired that woman did a poor job! She was very rude & unwelcoming. My daughter will NOT be working under/for anyone like that. Her tone was very snappy she spoke as if my daughter NEEDED this job when all she did was put in an application. If I could put zeros stars I would! do better! Learn to speak to people with respect especially if you’re trying to bring in new employees nobody is better than anybody. It angers me that I didn’t get her name because I’d report it to HR.

Dona, Kiran, and Samantha are the BEST team of medical professionals I’ve been seen by, and I will make sure to always ONLY come here, especially for this incredible staff. They were friendly, super fast, super thorough, 12/10 rating from me!

I recently visited AFC Urgent Care and was incredibly impressed with the level of care I received from Gelina. From the moment I walked in, Gelina’s friendly and professional demeanor put me at ease. SCAM Alert - they honor insurance cards up front but have a business dealing with Sherman Abram’s labs based out of Brooklyn that never honor insurance and you get a sudden 200 dollar bill 2 months later. DO NOT GO HERE

Yes, to begin - the front desk assistant was very patience, appeared sincere and pleasant-which is extremely important- in my opinion; especially, if one is not feeling at their best. The medical assistants projected a caring and empathetic manner as they performed routine measures and informed of following processes ....lastly, the Dr. Ali demonstrated extreme care and concern as he listened to description of my symptoms - he also took his time explaining follow up and recommendations.

Starting from the reception, the medical assistant “Lina” and the doctor were amiable. They explained every step of the consultation and were excellent at caring for my special needs daughter! The office is very clean. Thank you!

First time I went there was today I must say the front desk girl was very pleasant the doctor was amazing so mad I don’t remember his name but he took his time explaining what I should and shouldn’t do I’m 38 weeks pregnant with bad cough and cold he ran all test to see what’s the source of the issue . I have been to this location twice, this is the best Urgent Care facility I’ve been to in my entire life and trust me I have been to many all over New York STATE so believe me when I say this is the best of the best. AFC Urgent Care is a hidden GEM! From the welcome desk to intake the tech and physician, I knew that they cared and I was a valued patient. Everyone LISTENED which is rare these days! The intake tech, Shah took a very thorough history and vitals. He asked a lot of questions, and listened to me!! The Physician on duty was exceptional and did a thorough exam.I’m all regards, it was an extremely positive experience. The signage could be improved for better visibility. The facility is clean, neat and well equipped - X-ray is available on site! If I could give 10 stars, I would! I highly recommend AFC Urgent care on Dutch Broadway, in Valley stream!

I just have to say how thankful I am for the people who work here. My sister is here from out of town, but she is very sick because she is pregnant for the first time. On Tuesday, we got to the office less than an hour before they closed. The nurse and Dr. Shaheen who cared for her were so kind and patient. I was glad they let me stay in the room with her, even though there was a virus going around. The right tests and medicines were sent out, and my sister felt great just in time for our brothers wedding. Everyone, thanks! We are so thankful for everything you did for us that day and everything you continue to do to keep the community healthy. FYI, he called back two days later to look over the lab results. Ive visited this office a few times and my experience has always been positive. I like being able to schedule an appointment and complete paper work online which helps for a quicker office visit. I also like that its usually not crowded as other urgent care centers tend to be.The staff is freindly and efficient. I definitely recommend .

I had my first experience there lastweek with a follow-up appointment this week. I can not say enough good things about my experience. The facilities were very nice, the wait time was minimum and most importantly the staff was very helpful and friendly and the medical staff was top-notch. AFC urgent on Dutch Broadway is so nice and clean. The staff were so courteous with warm welcoming and made you feel you were in the right place. What was more shocking to me is when the Nurse Practitioner Duplessy N. followed up with me the next day to check upon me and she called me about my test results when they were ready. I will recommend everyone to visit this facility when they need to visit an urgent care. Overall, I am pleased, and I am glad that we have such urgent care in the Elmont area.

I brought my children to the clinic on Thursday, I can not tell you how appreciative I am with the outstanding care they’ve received from Medical provider Shahien and staff. My children had health concern that were worrisome and not properly taken seriously by their pedestrian. He took the time to evaluate and examine my kids. Everything was precisely explained and all questions answered with caring manner. Ive received phone call few days later to consult on blood testing and update on their condition. 10 out of 10 i would recommend

Went in for a COVID test and found a clean, efficient, and professional operation. Staff (Jennifer and Gelina) were courteous, helpful and patient. Shahien Noori the provider could not have been better. Jennifer explained the process to us and when it was time for my results, the provider Noori came in and gave excellent advised. All my questions were answer and I was not rushed. Will highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Valley Stream. 10/10. Great team work.

Very slow in treatment… whole place was empty but dr took her own time to attend inspite of telling them that I’m in intense pain after 100s of wasp attack… I was in pain…lousy … very slow they don’t really care…. Even if a person is dying they take their sweet time…horrible service…

Had to wait two hours and there was only one staff member doing everything. She said usually it’s only ten people who stop by on sundays so i think they didn’t prepare for the large volume of people that showed up ( in part because urgent care and city md closed there walk in list super early )the girl was very gentle during the test though, and i feel she did the best she could managing the large volume. The company shouldn’t leave her by herself though, probably couldn’t even take a lunch break.

This is long but extremely important. I urge everyone to read this. If anyone was diagnosed with pink eye at this clinic yesterday, you may have been given the wrong medicine. I took my teenage daughter to AFC Urgent Care in North Valley Stream yesterday and was diagnosed with Conjunctivitis. She was prescribed Ofloxacin which is used for treating pink eye and also ear infections. I picked up the medicine and gave it to her to take when I got home. She quickly told me that the label on the medicine said ear drops, not eye drops. I called the pharmacy and told them that they gave me the wrong drops, but they told me the prescription that AFC sent was for Oflaxacin 0.3% ear drops. It was too late to go back to the clinic because it was Christmas Day and they had already closed. Last night I called a Winthrop pediatric hotline and a doctor told me that the ear drops should not be used in the eye. This morning I went back to the clinic, explained that the Winthrop Hotline advised not to use the ear drops for the eye, but the clinic told me it was the same medication and could be used for both Conjunctivitis and ear infections. I called the pharmacy and asked if it was ok to use as eye drops and they told me that the clinic called in a new prescription for Ofloxacin eye drops. To make absolutely sure, I called a prescription hotline from my insurance provider who also told me not to use ear drops for the eyes. I went back to the pharmacy and explained everything to the pharmacist who confirmed again that the ear drops should not be used for eyes. She also noticed that there were several prescriptions sent from the same clinic and same doctor for Ofloxacin ear drops. She called the clinic for a new prescription for my daughter then advised the clinic to call the doctor who prescribed Ofloxacin ear drops to make sure patients were not using it for eye ailments. The ear drops can cause mild to severe irritation in the eye. If you go to this clinic to seek health care, make sure they are very specific when explaining the medications they precscribe. Especially if kids are involed. Also, dont be like me and not read the prescription when at the pharmacy. It could save alot of headaches, but more importantly it will keep you and your family safe.

Good place to go if your sick and live near by. They Open early, close late and the place is clean!. If you need any forms completed go elsewhere..they will give you the run around for weeks! Mgr is never available either!

We just left this place. Why is the same person entering ID and Insurance information AND performing the tests? When we and my hubby saw that (after waiting for almost an hour outside in the cold) we left. This is not sanitary nor does it leave us feeling confident that information would be even accurate. Perhaps someone called in sick or something. Either way, we rolled.

Dr.Nancy was very knowledgable. She took her time to acess my problem and found a solution. The staff were also kind and the place was nice and clean.

Was in and out everyone super friendly. Hope you dont have to come to any urgent care but if you do choose this one.

My experience at this place was not good...I went in with several issues and I was told that they can only see me about one problem, so I would have to pick one. And I was seen by a nurse practitioner not a doctor and she had a nasty attitude.
