Dr. Hodge is the most attentive, caring and knowledgeable Physician I have ever had. He and his team will work with you to ensure you receive the best possible care while navigating the oftentimes challenging world of the American healthcare system. I refer all my family members and loved ones to Dr. Hodge

I have been doing travel work for a few years now and thus make it a point to make sure I establish all my preventative care in the cities/countries that I will be living in for awhile, along with maintaining those from my home state.Ive gotten care in a few different states and countries now and I have to say that for womens health, my experience with this clinic is beyond great. I saw the provider Kristen Jones, PA and she is beyond anything I couldve imagined. She is very attentive, a great listener and really took the time to gather my medical history and family history to make the necessary assessments and testing. The exams she did were the most thorough Ive had done, and I work in healthcare myself. This clinic overall seems to be very thorough in the services offered for womens health and this provider is great. While I am no longer living in the area, I have to say she is one provider that I will truly miss having on board looking after my health. Im sure the rest of the providers are just as thorough, Ive never had issues with the clinic and they would get back to me quite quickly once results were available. I would definitely give this clinic a consideration if youre looking for a provider in primary care and womens health. Thank you for your great service to the community!

I’ve been a patient of this practice for about three years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Dr. Hodge is an amazing physician and clinician who is not only very knowledgeable and experienced, but also he is very personable and patient. The rest of the office staff has been extremely professional and helpful. I highly recommend this practice.

Kristen Jones is the best provider I’ve ever had and I can’t recommend her enough. She listens, believes, and thoughtfully treats women so skillfully. I have dreaded going for check ups my entire life but she makes the process so much less stressful and understandable.

I wish I could give less than one star, when I arrived to their institute at the front desk a Lady was screaming saying that I must pay 30$ after my insurance, which wasnt true then they noticed that my insurance was covering everything they and let me in, I asked several times do I have to pay another amount and they said no. I was in pain and went to the doctor she asked me a lot of questions then proceeds for examinations, and lab test she told me that I would have to wait for one week to get my result guess what I had my result my issue wasnt fixed and they didn’t prescribe any medication but I was still sick I had to go to another physician. One month later they sent me an email saying that I own 400$ after telling me that the insurance will cover everything and not fixing my issue . Please don’t .

Im disappointed to write this review as I liked my doctor and the prev admin team but customer service can really make or break the comfort a patient feels. I showed up 15 min late due to finding parking/got lost in the campus. However I did call while walking to say I was late because I am lost and to ask for instructions to the suite. Upon arrival, they said I was a no show and couldnt see me because they go to lunch. Doesnt make sense though considering within that 15 min of my appt time I wouldve still been in the exam room anyways so how would they be out at lunch. Really upset because I drove 2 hours for this appt. Also, their portal showed many additional times within 30 minutes of my appt that was available.

My previous healthcare experiences were at Comprehensive Primary Care & Whitman-Walker. When I moved to Washington DC my primary care physician worked at CPC but had left for a new position. I finally found that Mary Beth Alder, PhD, ANP, BC landed at Washington Health Institute. Mary Alder had worked in LGBTQ+ care and advocacy for many years. I had so many questions and concerns. Mary Beths knowledge gave me the confidence to build a lifestyle to live healthier and better educated. As my patient advocate, Mary Beth has elevated Washington Health Institute as a premier primary care service for the LGBTQ+ Community! Thank You!

I am writing to highly recommend the Physician Assistant, Kristen Jones. I had the pleasure to be a patient for the past 5 years and she is amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable and caring. I like that beyond the family practice, she also specializes on womens sexual health. Thank you for all your help to keeping me healthy, Kristen!

Incredibly poor management, stressed out staff, and the stress is taken out on you as a patient. Was scolded for them not having time when I asked very basic questions during my physical. Spent 3 hours there and most of it waiting, including waiting in the room in a paper gown with the door left wide open because they were having computer issues. The fee was 350$ and nowhere does it disclose that cost on their website and they do not inform you when you make the appointment. They also do not inform you that the labs they tell you to get are not included, and no one at the clinic was able to tell me a price when I asked after the appointment. They were going to let me go home without any idea that I would be getting an enormous bill in the mail. LabCorp said in an email that I was supposed to be offered a much lower rate (about 50% off) if I paid at the clinic - but you cant pay at the clinic if the management is so bad no one there knows how to get a price for any lab or let you pay it.The bedside manner of the medical staff was lacking, everyone was clearly having a terrible day and I have empathy for that, but its incredibly stressful as a patient to be there for that long, have barely any time with the provider, be paying that exorbitant amount, have such a lack of transparency, be scolded for asking basic things, have to repeat yourself many times, and hear all about their stress when youre paying them a ton of money to give you quality care that just isnt there. There was supposed to be a scribe in the appointment taking down all the information so that the nurse practitioner could give the patient full attention. They did not provide this, and I still paid the same fee that they charge for that. They say in writing on a sign at the front desk that this service is included. I was excited for that and then disappointed when it was not provided and the NP was frustrated and distracted.I could say a lot more but this situation has been stressful and I dont have any trust that the clinic would do anything to make up for it. We already paid, they got our 350$ and LabCorp now gets an additional 270$ for routine tests. Shame on this clinic and its management for perpetuating the very behaviours that make healthcare in America so stressful for patients, as well as the medical staff.Do not go here if you do not have insurance. Theres many other clinics with lower rates, and you wont be receiving quality care thats somehow worth 350$ or 250$ for a half hour follow up here while its managed like this.

My experience was with Sophia Carlton. She was the most unprofessional and unexperienced therapist I have ever met. Rude and obviously going through her own issues.
