My elderly mom went septic twice and almost died from a uti. Referred to Dr. South and my mom has been great since. I think its going on 4 years. Dr. South and her staff are always responsive to my elderly moms needs and take her seriously when she knows she is getting a uti. Dr. SOUTH, in my opinion, has literally kept my mom out of the hospital and alive for the last 4 years. To many old people die from stupid uti that are easily treated. Sadly, older people dont always know they have them and other Doctors dont take old people seriously when they think they may have one. Thank you Dr. SOUTH. You are literally the BEST!

I was recommended to Dr. South for a bladder issue. It was the best recommendation I’ve ever gotten.I had surgery with no problems whatsoever very little restrictions. I was back to work in no time. Dr. South and her entire staff were kind, caring, and understanding from day one. I felt understood with each of my concerns, and that made all of the difference! Dr. South and her team explained everything that was happening to my body and what the possible solutions were each step of the way. They let me decide what would happen and respected my decisions for my treatment. When surgery was the next step, all my fears were quashed with discussions with the team, and the procedure was the best decision I have made for myself. Very friendly and professional staff. Comfortable office waiting room. Basically no waiting involved. I was taken back to see the doctor within minutes of my arrival. Dr South is very caring and professional. She took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. The office has a patient portal so I can be involved with my health care and it’s a great way to communicate with the office. Dr South also has a podcast “ Girl Problems”. I plan to check that out as well.

When I met Dr. South I really didn’t know if things could get better. In a matter of ten minutes she diagnosed my problems and had a treatment plan ready to go. She’s knowledgeable, kind and proactive in her approach. Something she said to me when we first met was that WE would figure things out, together. I had felt alone on my journey before that but every step of the way she and her team were attentive and intentional about making me feel better while also helping me understand that I wasn’t alone. I would recommend this office to anyone, great surgeon, great staff, great service.

Dr. South is the best, most caring doctor I’ve ever been to. I lived with a painful condition for over 10 years, thinking there was nothing to treat it. It’s not an understatement to say Dr. South changed my life. She and her staff truly care, take the time needed and make you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. I highly recommend her.

Everyone was very nice. Dr. South took a lot of time to ask questions and make sure I understood correctly as she had given me a lot of information. I did not feel rushed. The scheduling receptionist was very helpful and did her best to get me in quickly as well as meet my scheduling needs. My medical condition is not easy to talk about and everyone made me feel at ease and respected. I am impressed on this first visit.

I had a surgical out patient procedure by Dr. South and had no recovery issues. She explained the procedure prior to the surgery and I received multiple handouts that were helpful to me. I appreciate that she and her staff are friendly and courteous, and provide answers to any questions. I would recommend Dr. South to women in need of urological or gynecology health concerns.

Dr South and her amazing staff delivered necessary diagnostic testing, followed by life changing pelvic floor repair -both anterior and posterior wall repair. Dr South and her nursing staff answered my abundance of questions, before and after surgery. I am currently three weeks post op, with minimal discomfort, and resuming most typical life activities. I highly recommend following Dr South’s advice to abstain from the narcotic pain meds, and cycle Motrin and Tylenol; I am still using those for all the internal swelling. By day four, you will be glad you chose the OTC meds route.This independent facility allows Dr South to control patient information, diagnosis, and treatments to her high standards. It also offered me the privacy and understanding/empathy of woman to woman dialogue, about women’s unique medical needs.Strong recommendation and many referrals will be forthcoming!

Dr. South’s office was very quick to get me in to be seen. The people are so very helpful and thorough. The nurse took time to hear what was going on in my body and struggle’s. Dr. South, not only cares about her patients and what she can do for them and their medical issues in her line of medicine but she took time to connect me with a doctor for another issue I had going on. She sent a referral to the other doctor, while I was still in her office.Dr. South, cares! I would recommend her to anyone in need of an excellent urogynecologist. The staff was nice. She’s been my doctor for a few years. I have had Botox which do not last as long as she said it would. And I just got a really big bill. Then I had a bladder lift, which is not working now. I cannot urinate when I want to and they want me to catheterize myself EVERYTIME I urinate. Not a good choice. Mary South.

I have worked in the operating room with Dr.South for 5+ years and I wanted to take the time to express my opinion on her as a surgeon . Dr.South is extremely skilled and never fails to impress me with the amount of detail and professionalism she puts into each patient / surgery. She is very talented and exceeds expectations in her surgical ability , I can attest to this because I have scrubbed in on countless surgeries with her as well as been the nurse in the operating room for her procedures. Throughout my time with her I have payed attention to the techniques she uses and the undivided attention to she gives to each patient. As a woman there is no doubt in my mind that I would use Dr.South’s services if I was ever in need of GU/GYN healthcare/ surgical needs. I can see why Dr. South and her staff got such good reviews. They are all so nice and make you feel totally comfortable from the moment you meet them. Dr. South is wonderful. She is not only extremely knowledgable and highly educated / specialized in her field, but she has a calming manner that always puts me at ease. Dr South is a joke. She laughed at my symptoms, and wouldn’t answer any of my questions seriously. Her only response to anything was “listen to this episode of my podcast for more info”. You’re joking right?I was there for my first (and only visit because i’m not going back), and she cathed me with no warning. It was traumatizing and I was sore for 3 weeks afterwards.Im only giving 2 stars because the office was clean and well decorated.(And don’t reply with “This is not a patient of ours. Yes I was. I don’t use my real name on this account.)

Dr. South is an amazing human and physician. She cares deeply about her patients and her staff. She really knows her stuff and is a wonderful surgeon. She makes you feel warm and welcome in the office, spends time listening to your concerns, and includes you in making treatment plans. I don’t know of a more caring and dedicated doctor. I went to Dr. South for a few problems back in 2018. She performed surgery and I had the greatest outcome from it. I just went back to her for a different problem, she is one of best doctors out there. She gives you her time and listens to everything you say. She has great bedside manner and makes you feel at ease. She is one of few doctors that doesnt rush you through your appointment. I highly recommend her.

Dr. South is a compassionate womans health professional who guided me to a solution that two other physicians could not property diagnose. She clearly communicated at each step in the process and, instead of writing a script and sending me on my way, she took the time to understand lifestyle and diet factors that may have been contributing to my issue. Her staff was wonderful. I lost my favorite bracelet in the office; they found it and shipped it to me immediately. I was very pleased at the relaxed and very professional nature of my appointment. In light of the personal nature of the appointment, I felt relaxed while I was there. The receptionist staff was efficient, the nurse who took me back to the exam room was conversational, paid attention to details AND laughed at my slap stick humor. I appreciated the wisdom and advice that Dr. South used while we discussed options after the exam. There was very much a peaceful, yet pleasant atmosphere.

I am a former employee of Dr. Souths. Even though I was terminated I can honestly say that Im proud of the growth of the facility. As I stated when terminated I wished her all the best. To see the pictures of the new facility is great. I wish her and staff all the best. I will say if you are a head strong person then you may just bump heads, but she knows her stuff. Dr South is an awesome doctor. She took the time to evaluate my bladder issues that have been affected by my MS and she explained all of my options at my first visit. She recommended that I get the Inter Stem Bladder Device put in since I already tried all types of medications which didnt work to help my various issues. Her staff has always been very friendly and extremely helpful to me. Everyone has gone out of there way to help me during this entire process. Im so happy with how well my bladder device has improved my bladder issues. I highly recommend Dr South!

I was referred to Dr. South by my PCP. I have a urinary drip (not leakage) that is minor but I wanted to avoid it growing worse. Dr. South provided info on exercises and dietary info to address this. A poster in the exam room led to a discussion about vaginal dryness. Dr. South educated me on two alternatives: 1) a prescription or 2) a multi-visit procedure. I chose the prescription with the idea that if it doesn’t work, I’ll pursue add’l info about the procedure. There was no pressure to pursue the more expensive option. I felt relieved on the first count and encouraged (that there are options!) on the second. A great experience.

Dr. South is one of very few doctors who actually listened to me. I drove 1.5 hours one way to see her in early 2020. . She was willing to work with me when most doctors just gave up. She is flexible and willing to listen to other ideas. She is very kind and her staff is too. Through 2020 we kept in touch with virtual appointments which was very helpful.

I have waited over a year to write this review for two reasons: 1. Because what happened to me was too difficult to discuss and the aftermath is still ongoing. It has caused me so much trauma and ruined my life over the past year. AND 2. I just needed to calm down. I have been very angry by the treatment that I received from Dr. South.Dr. South was to operate on me with another surgeon that referred me to her. It was supposed to be a team case. Then all of a sudden, without my input or consent the original surgeon and the doc I had the relationship with and the one that was familiar with my case was no longer going to be involved with my surgery. I should have baled then. I cannot get in to specifics as to what happened the day of my surgery due to privacy reasons (my privacy), but I will tell you the surgery failed and I was treated VERY poorly by Dr. South and she was extremely unprofessional.I have since had to have multiple surgeries to correct the problem that she attempted to fix that day. If she had only said that she was not capable of doing what needed to be done and referred me to someone more skilled, I wouldnt have had to have two more very invasive surgeries in the last year. Its not even that the surgery failed, it was her absolutely horrific treatment of me that was unforgivable. I now make the hour trip to Cleveland Clinic where I see the real expert in the field and the most kind, compassionate doctor I have had the privilege of knowing.

Worst experience of my life. Highly unprofessional practice. The first appointment I had, I specifically asked Dr South to stop what she was doing because she was hurting me, and she refused. So I saw the nurse practitioner from then on because I was not comfortable being around Dr South, and Carmen is the only person there that I have had a positive interaction with. The staff is rude, and they play music about sex in the office, which seems pretty inappropriate for a Urogynecology office. I was also threatened and denied care because my previous review on Google here was apparently offensive to them. I was also told that I would not have to schedule an appointment an hour away for a refill of my medication, and was then denied that as well. The woman on the phone literally told me she would not schedule me for an appointment if I did not remove my review. So I hope that tells you all something.

Dr. South and her staff are absolutely amazing!!! They take their time to get to know their patients so that they can help them in the best way possible. My mom has been going to them for a long time and I can not say enough about how wonderful they are.Summer Jones-Nutter

Was directed to give urine sample the next time I have UTI symptoms, Test came back positive. When I phoned office to inquire about medication treatment for UTI they asked if it bothered me and do I want treatment?! I cancelled upcoming appointment and am now going to Glickman. I should of know when I walked in her office and seeing her Skin care line promotion and products that Urology/ Gynecology comes second! Goodluck Ladies I prefer my bladder issues to be a priority!

We hear words like “atrophied” when for years it was only mentioned as “dryness”...I am in Dr. South’s debt, as she recognized and fixed my problems! Not saying shes a bad dr. No one is perfect. But when your in a hurry and make a mistake a th least own up to it. Now its a couple months later and she still hasnt made things right. My foot is still messed up. When are you going to make things right. You know you messed up or my foot wouldnt be messed up. I walked In The hospital and couldnt walk out. Its been over 3 years, it looks like Ill never be able to walk without a brace. Thanks what nothing to say??

A lot of staff turn over. Every time you go in new staff. It seems when good staff that know how to treat the patents and answer your question disappear. Makes you think of why. Dr South is a wonderful Dr. Her CMA is clueless. Need better staffing.

Laughing or noted as.. humorous expression( per Operative Report) when dropping your Uterus. Twice in the emergency room for retention. She will order you a year worth of catheters before leaving the practice at Summa. Be careful, pick wisely. These are facts.Devastated and Discusted.
