Womens Specialists of New Mexico (WSNM)

This was my second visit at this location. My first visit with another provider wasn’t great. However, I received a follow up to my first appointment and I was met with so much kindness and consideration. I was able to get another appointment scheduled in a timely manner and my provider this time was Dr. Ashley. She was so lovely. I felt at ease with her. She was so down to earth. She was open to my questions and reassured me. She completely changed my perception of the WSNM clinics. I am glad I had the chance to have a different visit and experience. Dr. Ashley was so lovely! I feel confident and at ease with her. I look forward to coming back to see her.

Everyone here is really sweet! Front desk staff is super nice and my midwife Rebecca is awesome. She always answers all my questions and concerns as a first time mom. They also provide you with a lot of resources on the pamphlet when you scan in the QR code like a pediatrician for after delivery and how to order supplies like a breast pump and so forth.

I just have to say I love Women’s Specialists. My CNP, MD, x-ray tech that have been taking care of me have made an impact on my health and I’ll forever be grateful. Only complaint I have is the older receptionist at the Riverside location. I won’t say her name publicly, but she is rude and heard she’s like that with pts and staff. I asked for a mask because I had severe allergies and two young babies were near me so I tried to be courteous of the situation. She proceeded to try and rudely argue that the masks are only for “our providers” which is understandable and I’m not entitled to one. However, to argue and belittle me in front of the entire waiting room was uncalled for. Sad that receptionists are the first people see and they are miserable to be around.

I had an appointment to go over birth control options, mostly getting my tubes tied. The doctor said she would never consider because I’m only 25… I’m widowed and have a child. The doctor I saw , said no one in the state would ever consider tying my tubes with how young I was. ???? What an idiot. Leaving her name anonymous because I just filed a few different complaints with the state. Hopefully they get doctors who aren’t pathetic and uneducated to start at this practice soon! Don’t recommend. Go anywhere else! Side not- getting my tubes tied next week! Check out Lovelace women’s health!!!

I had a great experience with Dr. Malia Ashley. She is knowledgeable, responsive and easy to talk to. She even called the next day to check some details about how I made get react to a medication she prescribed. Love this new generation of caring physicians.

So saddened to make this review , as I became close with staff at this location ! unfortunately as someone that has struggled with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, PCOS, and weight gain, I was looking into bettering my overall health! I wanted to give Erin Martinez the benefit of doubt, I just left my appointment feeling devastated and super low! I first went in to get medication for my anxiety and depression, she prescribed Effexor, I took a dose and I felt like I was going to die literally so I called in to see if they could switch me back to my Zoloft, which they did; my follow up appointment went horrible , she asked how many doses I had taken from the Effexor and I told her I just took one dose because my anxiety had gotten worse the first time around, I was scared for no reason and my pupils were huge! she dismissed everything I told her and continued to say that I didn’t give the Effexor enough time to work ! I personally wasn’t going to put my body through that knowing how much worse it made me feel! She said she’d continue prescribing the Zoloft in a very nonchalant manner and seemed uninterested in anything else I had to say ! Second came to my birth control, I’ve been wanting to control my pcos while taking care of myself to not get pregnant, she prescribed the pill which has helped immensely with the pcos , but has been a huge impact on my weight gain as I feel like I’m constantly starving! Of what I know of it’s a hormonal pill and hormones tend to do things to the body! I’ve gained over 12lbs and I came to talk to Erin about it and she sits there and tells me the weight gain is way TOO much for me to blame the birth control! Which 1. I take accountability for not eating properly and 2. I personally don’t exercise much , but I’m also a stay at home mom battling tasks , chores, depression etc that comes along with being a stay at home mom! BUT I haven’t changed much since starting birth control besides me feeling hungry all the Effen time I’ve even gone out of my way to get protein shakes to replace a meal and try to snack in between but she wouldn’t know that because she’s SUPER DISMISSIVE and INSENSITIVE! And assumed it was my fault and not the birth controls ! Also she started telling me I need to get a primary asap because not having a primary isn’t easy to get nowadays and that it’s pointless to go to the doctors when you don’t have a primary! But thanks to her I will be establishing primary soon! The least I could say is that that’s the only good thing that came out of her ! If you’re still here reading please save your time and do not go to her , you’ll leave the doctors literally feeling like absolute shxt instead of feeling understood and cared for !! I agree to the last review given to her , to her you’re only a dollar sign and she personally can give two fxcks about you !! May she get everything she deserves in life !! The rest of the staff is amazing though ! Big shout out to Tammy !! 🖤

Please seek treatment elsewhere! $1,936 dollars later I’m still stuck with no treatment, no call and no answers! Please see a MD not a PA especially Erin Martinez at WSNM you are nothing but a dollar sign to her she is rude, not personable, and will ignore your needs she treats you like cattle saw her less then 5 mins and slapped with a high bill and no treatment. In the past the MD’s were great sadly Erin ruined my trust with WSNM!

The nurses and doctors are very friendly and personable! They make sure you are comfortable before your exams and explain everything they are doing step by step so you know what to expect. Even though I’m not very fond of going to the doctor, I know I’m in good hands when I come here.

Dr. Ashley is AMAZING!!! She is one of the best OBGYN doctors I’ve ever had!! ..and I’ve had 6! She never makes me wait longer than 5 min to be seen. She is easy to talk to, and provides many options to help you tailor the birth experience you are looking for. The office staff has always been friendly and the nurses are wonderful. I’ve really enjoyed my experience. Highly recommend this place. 👏🏻❤️🙌🏻

I have been a patient of Womens Specialists of NM for 8 years, and I couldnt be happier with the service and care I receive there. The staff is professional, kind and courteous. I am respected and heard and my health care needs are met. I highly recommend them.

They are all so amazing here and make you feel like they actually want to help! Thats rare these days! You can tell they really care about their patients. They make dealing with this part of life so much easier!

Dr. Gilmore has beeen my OB for my past two pregnancies. I went in for concerns of PPD after my second son. I had an appointment and they turned me away because I wasn’t “due” for a check up until 2 months later. Today I went in for my appointment for a check up with my third pregnancy. I was in the office before the 10 minutes grace period but i waited behind a lady crying about her divorce. By the time I checked in it was 2 minutes past my grace period and they refused to see me. The worst experience with this doctors office!

Everyone at Riverside is inviting and makes me feel comfortable. I always feel like I am given quality care and attention when I visit. I am also confident that I have been given the most current medical advice and consultation that has my best interest at the core.

Dr. Wurzel is one of the best for bed side manner and education. I have been going through some very stressful health concerns and he has been very thorough, patient, understanding and educational. He answers questions I wouldnt have thought to ask, goes into detail with steps, side effects, possibilities or complications. I feel so at ease knowing he will be the one doing my procedure. I know that I am more than just his 10 oclock, anytime I have visited; I feel valued vs being just a number. THANK YOU!

I had an appointment for an ultrasound. They have a 5 minute grace period of the appointment time. I showed up at exactly the 5 minute grace period, not ONE minute past the grace period and the receptionist was given the directive by the lady who performs ultrasounds to re schedule me. Poor customer service and lack of keeping to her word of the sign posted that the ultrasound MAY be reschedule AFTER 5 minutes arrival. Again I was at the 5 minute mark not AFTER the arrival.

I had to go back and add to my previous post because I saw some negative comments about Dr Valdez. After Dr Prado at the Jefferson location retired I was worried on who would be my gynecologist. I started seeing Dr. Valdez.After so many issues with my cycles we found out that I had fibroid tumors.After the conversations that my husband and I had with Dr Valdez we decided that I would have a hysterectomy.Dr Valdez was so kind and caring before and after my surgery. I could not have asked for better care from a doctor and surgeon. She is a wonderful doctor and is an amazing lady

Dr Valdez has been my OBGYN and was the only one to really point out what was going on with me. My insurance changed a few years back I had to see another OBGYN and it was not a great experience. After suffering with so much pain I remember sitting in my car just crying out to God on what to do and he directed me back to Dr Valdez. I called the same day and explained what was going on with me and the front desk got me in the next day. I was told my new insurance would be ok to see Dr Valdez again. I went in the next day and Dr Valdez listened and answered all my questions. I made the decision to get a hysterectomy and she was just wonderful through it all. I felt as I made the best decision going back to Dr Valdez and My husband felt the same. When you’re going through this as a women it’s never easy and our emotions are all over the place but having Dr Valdez as my Dr made me feel safe. I thank God for her .

I had a good experience at WSNM. The staff were all incredibly sweet and highly professional. They took great care to ensure I felt comfortable throughout every step of the procedures. Keep up the excellent work! Dr. Alicia was great

This was my second time at WSNM and I have been pleasantly content both times. My first time, my husband and I came in and we were so excited but nervous, we were pregnant with pur first child, and were able to see our little bean and hear his heart on the ultrasound. Sadly we lost him just a few weeks later due to a miscarriage. But we are so grateful that we got to hear a heartbeat for this first time in our lives and see the little bean bouncing around in my womb. Dr. Carmen Kackish has been so gentle and so helpful each time we have seen her and I always feel heard and respected by her and any of the staff I have met here. This office is a great place and Dr. Kackish is a great doctor. I definitely recommend WSNM.

Everyone is extremely polite and friendly, creating a true safe space. Theyre also very timely, never waiting an extra hour after arriving on time for an appointment or anything like that.

Dr. Valdez is a great doctor, her staff are also nice to talk with. I have been a at this office for many years and plan to come back to them because they are knowledgeable, compassionate about what they do and honest.

UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM!The front desk is not very kind. I needed to pick up fmla paperwork for surgery. Despite the hours being listed as open until 5, I arrived at 4:45 to find the door locked. My husband and I both begged the front desk the next morning to remain open until at least 4:45 the next day so that I would be able to pick up my paperwork. The front desk said they couldn’t guarantee such a thing and if I wasn’t there by 4:45 she would be gone. Having to have surgery is already nerve racking enough; to not support patients that cannot take more sick leave to retrieve paperwork (because it’s all being used for the surgery and recovery time) is callous. Hours have been changed to reflect that they only remain open until 4:45 so that other patients won’t have to experience what I did.Update: my doctor is refusing to fill a prescription for me for a blood clot I got from the surgery SHE performed.I was very forgiving as I received blisters on my skin after she ignored the allergy in my chart. Can’t believe she doesn’t care if I have a heart attack or stroke! Avoid Dr. Ashley everyone.

I am treated well here. The staff is great! I usually get in and out, depending on the type of appointment.

Dr. Kakish and her staff are very professional and efficient. I was seen right at my scheduled appointment time .Mikeala the nurse took my vitals and then Dr. Kakish came . She discussed my concern in a very caring way . Im happy that she is there.

Dr. Kakish was recommended by a friend and I can see why. She and everyone in the office was super kind and helpful. I also appreciate that I could fill out the paperwork online before arriving there, which made the day of the first visit so much easier. Im looking forward to having her as my doctor.

I’m very happy with the care I receive here. Dr. Kakish really takes time to listen and discuss issues. I would definitely recommend this practice.

I have been a patient with WSNM for many years and each visit has been a pleasant experience. The front desk personnel, medical assistants, and Dr. Kakish are wonderful.

I arrived at my appt. Checking in was a breeze and I only waited about 5 minutes to be seen. The staff was super pleasant and I did not have to wait long for the Dr., who was very friendly and provided me with good information.

Dr. Valdez performed a robotic hysterectomy surgery for me in November. Id been so nervous! I read through all of her reviews and saw some that said she has a poor bedside manner, but what was more important to me was her skill as a surgeon.Well, I am now healed and am happy to report that everything went well. I feel compelled to write this review because it is unfair that Dr. Valdez is having her reputation tarnished by any negative reviews. Ive probably seen her 10 times by now and she has always been pleasant and wonderful! I enjoy my appointments with her. You can tell she knows her stuff and genuinely cares.Also, if youve come across this review because you need to have a hysterectomy, do not be nervous! I was so afraid that I made end of life plans, certain I would die on the operating table. The surgery and the recovery turned out to be easy and mostly pain-free.Go the robotic route if that is an option. Less than a week after my surgery, I hosted Thanksgiving! Arrange for at least 2 weeks off from work, ideally 3 if you can. Ask for a pain ball purse, which provides a line of numbing gel internally to keep everything comfortable for the first few days of recovery. Check out the website called Hyster Sisters for reassurance and answers to your questions. I think you are going to look back after your surgery and be glad you did it! :)

Staff is friendly. Celeste is great. Makes you feel very comfortable. As long as she is there, I will continue to be a patient.

Ive seen several of their doctors over my many years of coming here and there are some I have bonded with more than others, but I have never had a bad experience with any of them, and all have been great through all of my needs.Their call line is fantastic when you are having issues and need immediate assistance, and can get you into a facilities when needed.I also love that they work with multiple insurances and are a great guide on how to navigate it.

This was my first time at this location of Womens Specialists, and I was impressed. I felt comfortable being among such professional and friendly people, and I will go back as needed with no worries at all.

I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone! The staff and especially the doctors are extremely rude and they dont care one bit about the patients. They treat the patients as if they are nothing but a bother to them but what they dont realize is that without the patients, they wouldnt have a job. UPDATE: I would like to add to my review that I walked into the office two weeks ago and completed the paperwork to have my medical records transferred to my new provider only to find out that the request was NEVER submitted. Just another reason why people should NOT go to this facility!! Now I have to start all over again to re-request that and hope my new provider receives my medical records in time for my upcoming appointment. Womens Specialist of New Mexico is worthless!!

Staff was okay to deal with, but be aware that your insurance may not cover the lab they send your specimens to. My insurance was accepted for the wellness exam, but staff did not check to see if my insurance would accept the labs they use. First time I had to pay out of pocket for a wellness check. Very disappointed and will not return.I do give kudos to Taylor in the office for doing her best to try and help me. Unfortunately her superior would not help me. Will not be recommending this practice to anyone I know.

Ever since my long GYN retired I have been going from doctor to doctor and not being able to get the medical care I needed. I am so happy I made an appointment with WSNM. Everyone I encountered was kind, respectful, compassionate and knowledgeable. I hope to being going here for all my future GYN medical needs.

I’ve been going to Women’s Specialists since July and I’m so pleased with the care. The first midwife I saw wasn’t a great fit for me, but I was easily able to switch and I love my current one. The scheduling has been easy and the ladies are always so helpful with trying to find me appointments that work for me. I do not like going to the doctor and I usually have a lot of anxiety about it, but that has not been the case with Women’s Specialists.

I really enjoyed going here they were efficient helpful and assisted with what I needed help with and very professional clean office very friendly reception

Everyone has always been kind and helpful at the Riverside office. The care they provide is exceptional, from scheduling over the phone to the front desk, nurses and physicians. Dr. Solis and her team are very professional and caring. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be attended and I always leave feeling heard and content with the treatment offered.

Ive been a patient at WSNM for over 5 years, and they are amazing. My provider and nurse take their time to listen and hear me with any issues or questions I have. They are welcoming from the moment I check in to checkout. I highly recommend them!

Ive had the opportunity to work with a few different providers over the past 7 years or so. Each provider has been professional, personal, and open to listening to any concerns or questions. Wait times have been extremely reasonable - I think the longest Ive had to wait is 10 minutes, which was only once. Highly recommend the great staff who work at any of the locations.

Been a patient at all 3 locations. Had a positive experience at both the downtown and jefferson locations. But I do not like the Riverside location. Been going to the riverside location for my recent pregnancy since it’s closer to me but I’m going to switch locations even if it means driving further. The riverside location always makes me feel rushed even though I usually wait a long time in the waiting room. My midwife will be in and out in less than 5 minutes and I feel like I’m bothering if i have concerns to talk about or questions. They are also very hard to reach via phone or email on the patient portal. Won’t receive a reply for almost a week. Dissatisfied.

Mixed experiences at Womens Specialists.Saw Dr. Valdez for care during my pregnancy, and always felt she was short with us and failed to explain things when asked. When we asked about the risks during various issues that came up during the end of my pregnancy, her go-to answer was I dont have a crystal ball. Always felt like she was unwilling to give any further information. Also saw a large number of Womens Specialist physicians at Pres during the birth, and most were also fairly short with us.After my birth, I switched to Erin Martinez, PA, and feel much, much better with my quality of care. Erin spends a lot of time with her patients, and truly tries to listen and explain her decision making process. I really appreciate her care and time.Ive never had issues with the front desk staff, but it is very difficult to get a real person on the phone when calling their phone number. If you have an urgent issue, plan on waiting for a call back.

Absolutely awful experience. I scheduled an appointment for today at 10:10am. Last week, they sent me texts and emails confirming this but saying the location switched from the Jefferson St, where I had originally scheduled. No big deal, but they never called me to tell me which location. I called the scheduling department this morning to confi the appointment and ask which location I should go to instead. They couldnt find my appointment for 5+ minutes because the original scheduler made an error in my date of birth. The scheduler I was speaking to was also spelling my name wrong despite me repeating it. When they finally found my appointment, they told me it was at riverside instead, which is 30 minutes from my house instead of 5, but not a huge deal. I asked to confirm the time for today and she said 10:10. Okay, fine. However, I drove all the way out to Riverside this morning and when I get there they tell me my appointment isnt until Friday?! The receptionist says here, let me print it for you. At this point, Im feeling so frustrated with all the mistakes and miscommunication, so I just plan to find elsewhere that has their scheduling and communication in order. Im really disappointed, as I heard this was a great clinic, and was very excited to finally have access to care to discuss some issues and be seen for this critical healthcare. I work in womens health, and this would never pass in my facility. Id recommend elsewhere if you are a busy person with responsibilities that cant just spend a bunch of the time on the phone and wasting gas and drive time.

Staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Solis-Gilmore is always on time. She makes you feel very comfortable during your exam. I recommend Women’s Specialists of New Mexico.

Though I got my times mixed up and arrived late, staff was very patient and understanding. They also got me all the exams and recommendations I needed with such efficiency that everything was completed in time for the next patient. And I never felt rushed or like my needs didnt matter. Very impressed!!!

I never received my annual appointment notice in October for November. Still never received a phone call by late January. I called and made an appointment. Never had that issue before. I received quiet a few phone- text messages and emails about getting my pre-registration done before my appointment, starting about 2 weeks prior. If you send out a notice, doing keep sending them out. One or two but not 8. The facility building is nice and clean. Check in is very prompt. The annual exam appointment went very quickly & the nurse CNP is very understanding and we talked about different items and the exam went very well.

I’ve been a patient with WSNM for years and have seen several different providers over the years have never had a complaint but today I had my annual appt and seen Erin Martinez. Not happy at all about my appointment she was not personable at all and rushed my appointment didn’t introduce herself, didn’t review my med history, didn’t address my personal risk factors just got straight to it. Most uncomfortable appointment I’ve ever had.

First time Ive been to womens specialist and they are really kind and professional! The Dr. took her time to answer all of my questions and concerns and made me feel really comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Ive been a patient for may years and I absolutely love it. Everyone is always so nice. I feel comfortable here. Ive had ultra sounds and procedures here. The provider I initially had, I absolutely loved her. She seemed like a hippie and so down to earth. Even the dreadful paps didnt seem as bad. My current provider who Ive seen for several years now is also awesome. She listens to me, explains everything in detail and her reassurance makes me feel at ease. The front staff is also very nice. Very sweet ladies that actually great you and dont give you what do you want look. And lastly NEVER EVER EVER let the MA that works with Dr. Valdez leave. I absolutely love her. She talks to you like a relative and she is always a joy to talk to. Thank you all for everything you do.

I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of getting a Pap smear done, but I decided it was finally time to get one done despite my anxieties. Dr. Castillo was so patient, kind and gentle with me throughout the entire appointment. I would recommend her to anyone!

Receptionist needs to learn how to read a calendar. Seriously wasted my time. I will no longer be a patient here.

Greatly enjoy the Women’s Specialist of New Mexico. The staff is kind, they are quick to schedule you in, are amazing at communicating and accommodating you and your needs. Overall great experience. Would most definitely recommend if you are looking for a facility that is women focused.

I have had a phobia of needles my whole life, which seems to be getting worse rather than better. I recently had a biopsy done here (no needles involved) and found that I was on the verge of a full blown panic attack. After days of dread building up to my appointment, I almost backed out. Thankfully, the medical assistant or nurse and Dr. Solis were very understanding and calm. Thanks to their calm demeanors and explainations, I was able to follow through with the procedure. Its embarrassing since I am fully aware that the fear isnt rational, or at least is overblown, but thanks to the staff I still felt respected and listened to. Also, Dr. Solis is excellent and I barely felt it. Over my lifetime, Ive seen a handful of gynaecologists, and Dr. Soliss exams have been the least uncomfortable of them all.Additionally, the lady at the desk is always friendly and understanding. I also saw another woman who performed a transvaginal ultrasound and she was also great. I have yet to encounter anyone in this practice that is rude or has the lack of customer service that is so common in the Albuquerque area. Thank you for everything!

I would never recommend this womens health facility to anyone. I was recently diagnosed with Endo, I was in debilitating pain and they scheduled me 2.5 months out. I was patiently waiting to be seen here. I was looking forward to be seen by Ms. Martinez and have never been so disappointed by a medical professionals lack of care, compassion, or listening skills. After describing many months of symptoms she proceeded to completely ignore me, like I was talking to a wall, no advice or anything. It felt as though I was imposing on her and the unexpected intern student who surprised me with her attendance during my exam. Do not attend this health clinic if you have serious health concerns. I will not be lectured by such a low quality, pompous non-OBGYN again about how to take my pill or how I need an Rx written.

I have truly loved working with Dr.Ashley. I would highly recommend her. She may be young, but she listens and explains things clearly, and makes sure all of your questions are answered

Womans Specialists of NM offers top notch care in womans health. My practitioner Dr. J. Valdez is amazing. She is thoughtful, caring and thorough. The front desk and support staff at the Riverside location are skillful and courteous. I’ve been a patient for years now and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Womans Specialists!

What a terrific practice! The nursing assistants are thoughtful, caring and interested in what you have to say--this is echoed by the physician, Dr Kakish. Knowledgeable, caring, willing to take the time to address any issue. Completely comfortable. Kudos! Highly recommend.

Fantastic establishment. I was a new patient, I went in at 8:30, and even though their entire system was down I waited no more than 5 minutes to be seen. The first desk staff was polite and helpful. The doctor I met with listened to everything I was concerned about and came up with a plan of action. Definitely recommend.

Everytime I went to Womens Specialists, I had a good experience. The receptionists were so nice and the staff always knowledgeable and kind.

I was recommended this place for being very well with patients but unfortunately I’ve had an unpleasant experience. I’ve seen 2 different midwife’s and they rush my appointments and talk to me for less than 5 minutes. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve felt very uneducated on it. I also took genetic testing 1 MONTH+ ago and no one has called me back to explain my results. 2 Mondays ago I was told someone would call me back by the end of the day… nothing… EVERYTIME I call it goes to a voicemail and almost never get a call back. :(!!!!

This place is incredible. Everyone here is so amazing, and they care, and theyre great at what they do. Erika Solis-Gilmore has been my provider since I found out I was pregnant and I cant thank her enough. I am really high anxiety, and always had a ton of questions and concerns, and she was always available to help me through everything, and was always super responsive through the patient portal. She was not working the day I delivered, but Mario Pardo-Friedman was, and he was super amazing also, and Im really glad he was there to deliver my baby girl. Katrina, the ultrasonographer was also really great throughout my pregnancy. If I ever decided to have another baby, I would not consider going anywhere else but Womens Specialists, and would definitely request Erika Solis-Gilmore to be my doctor again, although Im sure I would be very happy with any of the providers there as well. Thank you all so much for a great experience.

Always on time and timely. Always professional and fun. Always explains everything. Its awesome to find such a good listener as Erin Martinez. She actually listened and heard what I was saying and we had a conversation that made sense for my health and wellbeing. Highly recommend.

I’m so thankful I found this place! The Radiologists Dr was so good during my ultrasound. She went over and above talking to me. The lady who did the ultrasound was great too! I will go back here for sure! Highly recommended.

My appointment was on time and I was out in 10min. Great friendly staff as well.

I’ve been going to this office for over a decade because Dr. Valdez and Annette have always made my experience smooth, simple and comfortable. The whole staff is super friendly and the wait time is short and quick.

Dr Solis is the best!!!! I had a biopsy, and she did it so quick that it hardly hurt. She is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first visit at Women’s Specialist of New Mexico was great! The MA and my on were very informative and caring and compassionate. I received a packet for everything I need for my first trimester and a free facial at the Medspa for anytime during or after my pregnancy. My husband and I also got to see our little baby nugget for the first time and hear the heartbeat and it was the happiest moment of my life! This place is a bright spot for my time back in NM.

I could not be more pleased with Riverside Womens Specialists. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and Dr. Solis Gilmore was absolutely wonderful. I was nervous going in since I loved my previous doctor who recently retired and hoped Id find the same sympathetic ear for my menopause struggles. Dr. Solis Gilmore exceeded my expectations and I left my visit feeling relieved and so grateful knowing I have such a great doctor who is there to help me navigate these crazy hormones.

I didnt have the greatest experience with the first doctor I saw. She may be a good provider for some but was not the case for me. I filled out a survey and immediately received a call from a director. She listened to my expectations and made a recommendation to see Dr. Kakish. Dr. Kakish was beyond amazing. She was patient and explained options with sensitivity and compassion. She took time to draw visuals and write down my options for further consideration. She took her time with me and made me feel comfortable. She listened to me and followed up on my concerns. Thank god she did. With her follow through it was discovered I had cancer. She saved my life! The staff (receptionist, MA, sonographer, and director) was amazing as well. Overall the service recovery was excellent and I will be returning to WSNM. Thank you Dr. Kakish for all you and your team have done.

Dr. Solis is super kind, compassionate, and patient every time I see her. I appreciate her calming demeanor. Being in my 3rd high risk pregnancy, it helps keep me calm and centered. The staff are kind and attentive and it just makes the entire experience go so smoothly. Thank you for everything!

Check in service was quick and safe based on Covid-19 standards, my nurses aide and the Dr. were extremely nice and compassionate. They took the time to listen to my concerns. I was in and out in almost less then an hour which is record breaking for my past experiences at other clinics. Very pleased!

This place is always amazing. I been going to WSNM for years. From all their locations. They always answer my questions. Nurses are nice. Dr. Valdez did my surgery. I was able to run the Duke City Half Marathon 2022! Because of her!! Thank you so much!!!

My experience here has been amazing except for the fact that I have been waiting for a week for a nurse to call me to reschedule an appointment. Im in pain and its obvious that no one cares. Regardless of numerous follow up calling attempts to schedule an appointment, no one has reached out to me. Ill wait 42 hrs otherwise Im going to have to just go to urgent care at this point and end up finding a newprovider. I will change my review rating if and when somebody contacts me to schedule this appointment.Edit- rating changed to 5 star. I was finally seen and taken very well care of. I understand that they were overwhelmed with high volume and short staffed. I appreciated the follow up. Thank you.

I just moved here and needed an OBGYN. Dr. Valdez had an appointment within a few days, and maybe that should have been my first clue. She was rude and short with me and completely dismissive of all my concerns. She acted annoyed that I was even there. The front desk staff, to their credit, were amazing. But I will never go back here.

It was good. Staff is friendly. My Dr was a little late but was very thorough and answered my questions. I did feel a little rushed though. The only thing I would ask they change is getting into the portal. Not user friendly.

I have been coming to Womens Specialists of NM for 8 years. They are always kind, caring and extremely knowledgable with regards to all types of womens health issues. I truly appreciate their dedication to each of their patients.

Ive been a patient with WSNM for close to 10 years. During this time Ive had the opportunity to work with a few different providers for various reasons. All providers are knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, sensitive, informative...all the things one could ask for. Would recommend without hesitation.

They were able to fit me in for a next day appointment to consult with me on a health issue and even squeezed me in for a procedure to save me another out of town trip. Their follow up appointment is a week later, which is nice so Im not left hanging wondering about results. The staff was very helpful and reassuring. Facilities were clean and modern.

First time and they all treated me so nicely and with respect. Nurse and the Dr were so understanding and talked through everything that they were doing or asking to make sure I was feeling comfortable as well! Took the necessary COVID-19 precautions and was in and out quickly!

The workers at this office were all super nice and helpful. I went in to update my birth control plan because my previous doctor didn’t go through the choices with me thoroughly and I made a decision that was hard on my body and my mental health. This office made sure I had all my questions answered and I felt secure in my choice.

Their doctors are great, bad part is no one returns your calls, I left three messages and haven’t heard back. The only way you talk to someone is through scheduling but I already had a appointment. I’m trying to contact to go over my results. The operator said leave a message but no one here returns the messages. I work at a office myself and know better. They had contact me while my phone wasn’t working properly from there records. When on my side they called I try to answer and they hang up right away. And when I call back the only way is though listening to the auto answer machine than leave a message. If they call you do your best to answer because you won’t be able to contact them unless you go directly to their facility.

The ladies in the front office are so rude. I had an appointment today at 12:30. Went to check in and found out my insurance that I just renewed didn’t show up in the system so they tried to reschedule me when I said I can pay out of pocket. While I was waiting to be seen the ladies in the front started talking about me right in front of my face saying “ why didn’t she just reschedule? It’s not that serious. What is she even here for ? The only thing I can think of us birth control “ like who does that ? Just because of my age your gonna assume I’m here for birth control? When I was there for other personal reasons. Did not make me feel comfortable or cared for at all. I fake judged. This place seriously is a joke. Hire new staff who have a genuine compassion for helping females.

The ladies in the front are so friendly and helpful. Jasmine D is awesome. She takes time with her patients to listen to them and address any questions they have. Highly recommend visiting this place for all of your women needs.

Women’s specialist is Awesome! They have a very easy online Pre check-in which made it so easy once I arrived. They were very prompt and called me in right on time. Dr. Solis-Gilmore was so professional and answered all my questions, which helped to ease my mind. Her assistant was also very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend them!!

I just absolutely love the midwives here. My Midwife was Alicia Castillo and she is awesome Ive had four children with her. Shes great at making you feel comfortable and answering all your questions. The staff and everybody is wonderful.

Ive been going to Womens Specialists of New Mexico for several years. I had an amazing Midwife and was referred to a doctor when it became necessary during my pregnancy. Last year and this year, it took almost two weeks to get calls returned to get an annual appointment scheduled (both times I called back within that time to get an appointment scheduled). Today I called about a billing question and the person I spoke with was a discourteous and barely answered the questions I had. When I was ending the call with an, Okay, thank you. I was hung up on with no response. I understand that billing is no ones favorite topic, but a little courtesy goes a long way.

I had a good experience at WSNM. The staff were all incredibly sweet and highly professional. They took great care to ensure I felt comfortable throughout every step of the procedures. Keep up the excellent work! You all truly made my day.

My appointment was very quick and everyone was kind and helpful. I usually expect to wait a long time in the waiting room and then a long time in the room for the provider to come in, but I was pleasantly surprised when it was a very short wait! It was all great!

Riverside location has been ABSOLUTELY incredible. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. Every member of the team I have encountered has been professional, kind and compassionate!

My first visit to Womens Specialists of NM was great. I felt comfortable and all the staff from the women at the front desk to Annette to Dr. Valdez were most professional and helpful.

Ive been seen y Dr. Kakish and had a bad experience with her. She acted annoyed when talking to her. She acted uninterested when going over my lab results and barely answered my questions. The office was supposed to give me a call because Ive been referred to another specialist but I have not hear back from them yet (its been weeks)

At first really like them...even though it was kinda impersonal and quick. Felt slightly judge for refusing the covid vaccine since its new and was told I would never have this baby. Also seemed judgemental that I would not do genetic testing...would have no effect on me carrying my pregnancy. The worst was gained some weight and the midwife went off on my being obese and how I should not be gaining weight ( I am not a skinny girl but healthy) so fixed on that I didnt get to talk about my dizziness or headaches....was told they didnt believe I was vomiting as much as I stated since i didnt lose weight. Went home in tears and feeling horrible...this is suppose to be a magical time and they made me feel like fat trash. I am also a RN. I have left this practice...tried to talk the director about this and no one has called me back.

Womens Specialists of New Mexico has provided patient care like Ive never experienced before. I feel like all of my needs are addressed respectfully and the practice treats me like a whole person and not a number.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.When I had gone there the first time the nurse was in sweatpants and a T-shirt. Then the next visit the doctor made me come back because she wanted me to read a pamphlet on the birth control I was getting. Even though I had gone over all of the information with her the visit before. She insisted I get an STD test in the most incredibly offensive way. She tried convincing me multiple times to not get an IUD and just take the pill. After I told her that I am poor at taking the pill at the same time everyday she told me to grow up. I then asked for a new doctor to place my IUD. This new doctor wasnt any better! She asked me why I wanted a new doctor!!! It’s been awhile since I’ve been there but just thinking about going back to get my birth control replaced makes me upset. I’ll just look for a new place.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Although I had to point out several times that some of my patient information was wrong, and it was still not corrected when I went to get labs drawn. So not very detail-oriented. But a pleasant experience.

If I could place NO stars I would. If you want to come here and not be helped, be my guest. I had the worst patient care. They do not explain treatment to you. I have been having a difficult time getting pregnant and I was tossed pamphlets to fertility clinics. I was unofficially diagnosed with PCOS. No labs, no obvious reasons to diagnose me with this. It has been a dead end at this place. I have been seeing them since 2010 for annual pap checks, but will not be notified of results till I would call about them three weeks later. I gave them several chances. Another is they keep placing unknown people under my insurance coverage. Please read the form that asks if your information is correct before signing. They had a random womens name listed as my father and emergency contact. I told them that I dont know that person and why is she on my information, they couldnt explain why.

Dr. Jeanine Valdez was my doctor and she was so pleasant and explained my condition so well. Very pleased

This place was amazing compared to the other place I used to go to. I signed in and within 5 min I was called. They saw me right away. I didnt even have to wait in the exam room for a long period of time for someone to come in. I absolutely loved the service and everyone was friendly.

I was looking for a new home OBGYN when I first moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2014 after being with my OBGYN for about 20 years. WSNM made it easy to adjust and their staff is just awesome!

These doctors take the best care of their patients. They listen and do not rush you out. They truely care.
