Planned Parenthood - Anaheim Health Center

Had them for years and it’s always been a struggle with their wait times. Most times they take about an hour to see you with an appointment. And on very rare occasions they will see you within ten minutes of your appointment. It is hard to give them high marks when their wait times with an appointment are atrocious.However, their doctors tend to be great. Currently Dr. Huang is the only reason I keep coming to this location or provider. She is thorough and explains any procedure.

I called and made an appointment right when they opened they told me the only appointment was 8:00am and asked if I can get there asap since it was already 8:05. I got there at 8:20 since I had to drive there and get ready all for them to tell me that they cannot take me in bc they give a 15 min grace period. The lady in the front was giving attitude saying that I can just do walk in basis. This is unfair when I have an appointment…

Cecilia Huang told me I was her FIRST patient and I came to her on temp disability because of my endometriosis. She claimed I was lazy and discontinued my instated temp disability the day after I had surgery without even knowing if Im going to be okay after my surgery. Its been 2 years and Im still not okay. Nobody knows whats wrong with me and I constantly mull over taking my life because of this experience. They ruined my body, I cant experience pleasure without pain anymore. I would rather end it.I visited her and begged for her to help me get back on disability so I can get the measly 400 every 2 weeks Dr Shanoy gave me but she said no and that she couldnt help me. I ran out of the facility in tears. Swore never to come back.The staff is nice and friendly but thats all they have going for them. I came to this office living a normal happy life. Now Im bedridden and jobless with a mountain of debt. I wanted to know why I had lots of chin hair and they immediately gave me birth control. I developed mental health issues that I never had before and was diagnosed with bipolar 2. I gained extremely painful cysts from the birth control. They will try to brainwash you and tell you thats not possible but whatever hormones they put me on changed me for the worse. They sent me out to the absolutely worst OBGYN (Dr pinches) i could have dreamed of. A man who didnt give me the time of day and just wanted to shove his fingers inside for a uncomfortably painful and embarrassing examination. He immediately told me I needed to be on medication that starts my menopause at 30 years old. I refused so he did a hysteropathy on me, which took 5 months to schedule because he forgot to show up to surgery twice when I was in the hospital. After the dnc Ive had even worse periods, ones that send me to the emergency room in an ambulance and make me consider ending my life from the pain. They dont care about you here. They still have no idea whats wrong with me and its horrifying. I know why people boycott this place now. My bad for trusting them with my health.

I was told about this location from a great friend. I recently had my insurance terminated and after some complications health wise I was in need of birth control. This location was able to make an appointment same day and take care of all of my needs. The staff here is absolutely amazing. I have had a PPO my entire life and I have never received exceptional treatment like the one I received here today. I’ve been in the medical field for over 12 years and everyone in the office was just amazing that I had to write this review. The office staff, the manager, the doctor everyone is so professional. I would recommend this location. They have wonderful communication. They even apologized for the wait. They are just exceptional. The entire office does care for their patients and I’m so grateful to have been here today. I am just overjoyed on how wonderful my experience was. Thank you so much to everyone that was so kind, patient and understanding. I am very thankful and I thank you for your service of assisting everyone and myself with such professionalism.

I got a copper IUD placed here and from start to finish the experience was wonderful.- I walked in the morning and was able to get an appointment the very same day.-After filling out some paperwork, I had the IUD placed free of charge which is an absolute life saver.-The center is very clean and the workers were friendly.- I was given a heat pack and extra Advil for the procedure after expressing my concern for pain.- The Doctor was very good at answering any questions and giving thorough explanations. Throughout the procedure, she walked me through each step and went at a pace comfortable to me. The doctor was very gentle and it really didn’t hurt as much as the internet had made me believe it would. The whole thing was over in just a few minutes, and afterwards I was able to stay lying down and relax until I was ready.Overall 10/10 experience. Wonderful staff, I appreciate their kindness, patience, and they try and work with you to get you what you need. I’d go here again!

Call lady was pretty rude, and they didn’t remind me of my appointment at all, and input my information wrong. Yikes

Get comfortable cause you’re going to wait. I arrived way earlier and had the same appointment time than two other people and they were seen before me

Extremely patient staff to someone who has never been to planned parenthood before. They were very accommodating and answered all the questions I had. I felt a lot better after going in.

The facility is always clean and every time I go I always feel welcomed. The staff members are so nice and helpful. I learn something new every time I go. Im always offered extra help and support. Ive been coming here since 2012 and they are my main health providers through Melody! 10/10 would recommend.

Great place and wonderful service. Staff and faculty are very friendly and considerate. Everyone is nice and helpful. I come here for STI/STD testing and Planned Parenthood help make the process easy and comfortable. They are very considerate of your privacy and what youre comfortable with. This was the place I came to for my first STI testing when I didnt know where else to go or how to get help. Getting tested was new for me and I didnt know much, but Planned Parenthood definitely helped me understand the process and answered all my questions.

I wanted to use the restroom before my appointment to not make them wait/not make my appointment longer than necessary & asked the receptionist this, but she told me that the medical staff were too busy & to wait until Im called. Hmm, I mean, its a simple opening of the door to let me use the restroom? Felt uncomfortable to be told that. Technically I wanted to use the restroom *while* waiting for my turn for my appt, so maybe thats why.Secondly, I was finally called in 20-30 mins after my appointment (arrived 5 mins late, since it was a little hard to find, had to ask direction from the nice lady at HOPE center) (I mean it might be like that for every medical place tho? but just wanted to mention)Thirdly and the reason I felt the need to write a review: The medical assistant was on the cold and uncaring side. While taking my blood pressure, I flexed my hand a little because it started tingling from lack of flow (obviously), and she made a big deal out of it saying dont move so much/relax after just that one time I forgot I shouldnt move. I said sorry I just couldnt feel & she only repeated what she said about the machine not being able to read if I move so just stay still, just relax in a cold blunt way. The interaction with her simply felt unforgiving over a simple small mistake, uncaring & a little on the reprimanding like I was a child. The doctor on the other hand was more warm and professional. Overall I wouldnt want to come back based on the stiff, uncaring interactions with the staff.Edit: I forgot to mention that when she left the room, she shut the door behind her that sounded like a slam. And also, while taking off my blood pressure cuff, she was a little rough/aggressive with it. And I felt particularly sensitive this morning to these things & Im understanding when people touch me for necessary things, but if she or in general, medical staff are not going to announce what theyre doing that involves potentially touching the patient, at least, remove it or do things gently...I didnt feel like a patient being treated, but rather like a patient dummy or something like that.Edit: so I actually wanted to use the restroom to wash my cup/straw thing whatever you call it, so that I could get some water (they have a water dispenser) so I was more likely to pee for my pee sample. Soo it was gonna be a short wash my cup and be out to continue waiting for my appointment turn. I wasnt going to the restroom to pee bc I knew I needed a sample. And I told the front desk receptionist this (that I wasnt going to pee, just wash my cup), but that was still her answer-to wait my turn.

I went for a visit 4 weeks ago, to determine if i was pregnant. The facility is clean, and modern. The workers there are friendly and courteous. I walked in without and appointment and it wasnt at all crowded to my surprise. The medical assistants and nurse practicioners were very personable and engaging. Mind you, this is a free clinic and one would assume you may not receive good attention. But boy, was i wrong. Their standards are high, they educate you on the topics you are interested in discussing and solely on that. They also gave me references so that i can obtain medical and find the best hospital to continue with my pregnancy. I was very happy with my visit.

Would not say for refer any gender to go to this facility due to the fact of uneducated nurses and uneducated assistance. Symptoms of a failed practice or some type of illegal operation. If you make an appointment dont expect for any of your questions to be answered and dont expect to be seen for what you went in there for. Theyre only restroom in their whole facility has a sign that says out of service how is any of the employees let alone the doctors or nurses or assistance even using the restroom to wash their hands or to do anything. I would recommend for that this facility be closed down but beforehand have OSHA ring them a new one. For any women that want to go hear please note that the women that work hear are very rude and are only out to milk the cow for money. Also dont expect have anything done the first appointment expect for them to say they want you to come back again. There isnt no charge nurse there or if there is she doesnt care because there isnt a line of order from whos the Boss to whos the not the boss.. I could go on forever but be advised of how they treat here at this facility. Remember that these are only in my own recordings and experiences from the first time going there with my women. My own opinion is used its your choice if you want to go there or not just saying be advised.

This office is awful and judging from the other reviews, I’m not the only person who has been slighted by the staff here. The front desk person was extremely rude. I had to file a complaint against them i order for them to honor my appointment. I was told I need to stay in my car but I never got a phone call. I kept seeing people walk in so I sent my husband to check. She were rude and made fun of me b/c I forgot my shoes. I normally have sandals in my car but I was told to stay in the car. When I got upset they hung up and locked their doors. They called the cops and I waited for them. The cops said that I have done nothing criminal. At least I got in contact with the VP of communications and told her the truth. I hope that entire office is gutted and replaced.

Thank you Planned Parenthood for being there as a teenager as well as an adult in my 30s! I absolutely dread going to any doctors, even the dentist, and the visits I had here recently was THE MOST AT EASE & COMFORTABLE Ive ever felt at a doctors office. The staff was super friendly & helpful. Thank you so much!

The women at the reception desk was great. Im disappointed at the fact that I was not able to be seen today because of a sore throat, and cough; I also explained recent doctors visit, and my negative COVID results as to not worry. I understand we live in different times now with COVID, but their advertisement commercial shows a person walking into a Planned Parenthood clinic with a cough and or sneezing. The solution to the advertisement was to wear a mask provided by the Planned Parenthood clinic. I dont like leaving not so cheerful reviews, but I really need to get seen at a trusted Planned Parenthood clinic. How are other doctors offices willing to see me, even as a walk-in, but Planned Parenthood cannot? Its disappointing none the less.

This lady who is a medical assistant name Kiara, who told me to leave after my depo shot because of another patient, in additional to that she didnt let me know that I was already getting my depo shot she just placed the needle without letting me know saying at least its done and over with.

Planned parenthood in general is not what they market it to be, they claim to be professional and understanding and there for you but they arent theyre just as rude and judgy as everyone else. Youre better off going somewhere else. They dont accomadate their patients needs or try to work with you in any way

Very quick, helpful. Everyone was super nice when I went in there. The Doctor/nurses will explain any questions you have. And I was able to learn a lot. Thank you!

Quick and professional treatment from Staff and Doctor. Went in for Implanon removal, I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Id give them 5 *s but the paperwork needs to be rewritten with less complex terminolgoy. The text is way too confusing.

Saturday morning appointment - Ive never been seen so quickly and gotten out of ANY doctors office in so little time! Staff was kind, doctor was quick and gentle (pap smear). Very easy and pleasant appointment!

Dont waste your time coming in without an appointment or you will not be seen. I waited one hour and thirty minutes for them to tell me only if an appointment is canceled we can see you. So book an appointment because then you will not get any help. Plus the staff is not helpful when it comes to this matter they could have told me from the beginning about this instead of sitting there wasting my time.

People are rude, wait time is ridiculous. The M.A. was slamming doors, shaking while BP was being taken. T.V. in waiting room was EXTREMELY loud. They dont let you wear your own mask, yet they can wear their own. Hopefully I wont ever have to come back to this place!!!

I went there to change my birth control because my nausea was unbearable and the doctor was very rude and made me feel stupid for not knowing that nausea is going to be a symptom and I basically had to suck it up. Everyone else there was nice this doctor was probably having a bad day but Id rather go to a place where I feel like I wont be judged.

I called to see if they take my insurance and the women on the phone told me they do not so I went on the website and checked what insurance they do take and mine was on there. I then called my insurance to confirm if I am able to go to planned parenthood and what do you know I can. So I then called back to let the women know my insurance and their website said they do take my insurance and she was very rude in telling me otherwise. I talked to a customer representative and she was so helpful. I will now be going to the orange location.

The woman at the front desk was very rude . I came in as a walk in, I filled the paper out coming as a walk in and waited until they called me about 30 minutes later that they were not accepting walk ins today. That should have been the very first thing they told me, and I was talking to the woman at the front desk she was putting the phone down

Very very slow clinic receptionist are very rude and not giving great details I came in for walk in she told me there’s no more walk ins we have too many appointments I then said let me speak with a supervisor the supervisor said I can wait but there’s no promise that I will be seen so 2 hours go by there’s nobody here but me and they still haven’t called me in for some reason when I’m the only person in lobby

The facility is so clean. Great experience with the staff and doctors. They treated you professional and quick. Thanks to planned parenthood

This place is horrible Ive come here several times for birth control and a hundred percent of the time they have taken my ID not given it back or bic card and does not give it back and besides that you have to wait about 4 hours just for a doctor to see you if you dont have an appointment they do not accept walk in even though they say they do. Trying to call this place and make an appointment is impossible

Worthless call center staff claims the offices cant take their own calls. Lied and told me 4pm but instead the appointment was for 3:15pm. Refused to see me. Very poor service.

Why is it so complicated at This location? The staff is unhelpful and no one pays any attention to your questions. I feel like their were here for you slogan is misleading.
