I highly recommend Advanced Sonograms of Alaska. They’ve been absolutely amazing - not just in their service, but in how much they care. I’ve needed to schedule several last-minute appointments, and every single time they’ve gone out of their way to squeeze me in. The ultrasound technicians are so gentle, professional, and incredibly compassionate. The front desk staff is also exceptionally kind, helpful and supportive. I’m so thankful for ASOA and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any ultrasound needs!

Mike did my sonogram, thank you kindly for being so patient and kind while visiting with my 15 month old. My photos turned out awesome. The cardiologist Dr. Dillard was very detailed and understanding for my conditions . I’m very pleased and grateful for Advanced Sonogram of Alaska for always being supportive through this process.

We used Advanced Sonograms of Alaska for both our fertility journey and to help us through our successful pregnancy. This team helped change our lives in the most amazing way possible. Our first son died at 38 weeks from a cord injury, so trying again was a very emotional and hard journey. However, the team at ASA were kind, understanding, supportive, and there for through 4 rounds of IUI. Tears of joy were not only shed by us the day we got to see that first successful ultrasound of our rainbow baby, but also by our techs. The following 8 months were full of fear and anxiety for us, but no matter what ASA opened their doors for us to come get a scan and check on our little guy. They are so knowledgeable and help explain everything they were looking at through each scan. I honestly do not know how we would have made it through, especially towards the end, without the team at Advanced Sonograms!!! We are so thankful for each of them and their care and compassion for us and our family.

I have had multiple professional appointments set up with Advanced Sonograms of Alaska. The patience and thoroughness of the medical staff was above and beyond. They took the time to answer all my questions, explained all procedures very clearly and really went out of their way to ensure my confidence in their care. I have not experienced the outstanding quality care I received here by other sonography experiences elsewhere. And because of that I have referred family and friends for their services. My unexpected diagnosis of cancer was found by the skill of their sonography specialist, Mike. I will always be grateful on my yearly anniversary of beating cancer.Sarah H

My wife and I had an appointment with Advanced Sonograms of Alaska — outstanding service from the ladies in the front desk area. We had Mike walk us through what was to be expected. They were very professional, provided excellent service, and were friendly to my wife and me.I’ve recommended them to all my friends, and Ill recommend them to whoever reads this review. I love this office! I have had many scans done and it has always been a great experience from beginning to end. Front desk always have a smile on their face and techs are always professional and gentle. If you are looking for a place to get an ultrasound, feel safe and comfortable, this is the one!!

Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience with Advanced Sonograms. Ive never posted negative reviews like this before, but do not want to see anyone else treated so unfairly.After every single appointment at Advanced Sonograms, I checked out with the front office to ensure I didnt owe any money, and every time they assured me we were double-covered by insurance so we were all good to go. So we continued to go as our doctor recommended, but were surprised to see the 1st bill in the mail after the 5th appointment. When we called to inquire, they informed us that was actually only 1 of 5 bills and we owed them a total of $2,000. We explained the situation, attempted to work with them, and were ultimately given the cold shoulder.Long story short, they referred us to a collections agency without our knowledge and despite us telling them we were waiting to hear back from the doctors office and our insurance company. We had communicated with Advanced Sonograms that we would pay if we were responsible- we just needed to make sure insurance had the correct information, which we all know takes time. When I asked why I didnt receive a final notice that my account was about to go to collections, the practice managers exact words were, We thought we were never going to hear from you again. Ive never heard of a company sending a client to collections without official notice. To make matters worse, we asked to speak with ownership to simply make them aware of the situation, and were told they were not in the office and we never heard from them.I will never return to Advanced Sonograms nor will I recommend them to anyone. I chose them because I had a good experience with one of the techs who no longer works there. However, I wish I took my friends advice and went with Alaska Family Sonograms, who has lower out-of-pocket rates and better customer service.

Ive been going to Advanced Sonograms of Alaska for years and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The lobby and office are very clean. Every Imaging technician I have worked with are extremely nice and professional. They always do there best to get great pictures of my little girl. The 4D ultrasounds are amazing and they have an app that they can send all your pictures and even videos straight to your phone!! Thank you Advanced Sonograms for being a great business!

I’ve had two high risk pregnancies that included many ultrasounds. With my second son, I was referred to Advanced Sonograms due to scheduling conflicts at my OB. Of all my ultrasounds, this was by far the best!! I wish I had done all my ultrasounds here! The staff was super friendly! The images were better and their measurements were extremely accurate! The bill was completely covered by insurance. I would definitely recommend Advanced Sonograms for all future imaging!

I cannot say enough good things about Advanced Sonograms! I am currently pregnant and have been referred here twice now from my midwifery and have had an exceptional experience both times. From Tanis at the front desk who is always on top of the ball with billing and very kind, to their extremely kind and knowledgeable techs. I especially want to thank my two techs Mike and Scott! Mike did my 13 week scan and Scott who just did my anatomy scan, both were so so kind and were very thorough and completely exceeded my expectations as to what type of experience I would have. I am just so happy I came here. I wont go anywhere else!

---------- Update 11/12/2022----------My response to your response:Fact #1: At the end of the day, any reasonable person puts their trust into the hands of their medical providers. I did this, and even took initiative to check with your staff on the status of insurance and financial matters after every appointment... and I was given false information. Intentional or not, as friendly as the employee was, your company assured me that insurance covered the costs. This inaccurate information was a crucial mistake on your part. The repetitive failure of your business to take any responsibility for this mistake simply added salt on the wound. Ultimately, your mistake was only communicated with a $2,000 bill several months later. I was charged $400 for every appointment and didnt receive a bill until I already had all five appointments.Fact #2: Most businesses would proceed by taking ownership of their mistake and working with the patient/customer. This may include an apology, financial assistance, or at the minimum a 50/50 split with the customer. None of these logical solutions were offered nor considered. The only option offered was to start a payment plan while I kept trying to work with insurance on my end. To make matters worse, we were told after you referred me to collections that your company offers a 30% discount for paying out of pocket. NEVER was this offered to us, and when learning this information we were told that offer only exists at the time of service and it was too late. I would have saved $600 had anyone actually offered me this reasonable and generous solution.Fact #3: Ownership failed to return our attempts to have polite, professional, and informative conversations with them. This google review is the closest thing to a response weve received. As mentioned before, Ive never posted a negative review like this and genuinely want to have a professional conversation with ownership to make sure theyre aware of the situation and hear us out, but sadly, that seems impossible.Fact #4: In your response you said, No one is ever referred to a third party for collections without having exhausted all other means of resolution. We have an extensive and transparent process that is followed before an account is sent to collections and adherence to this protocol is documented in our records at every step. While this sounds nice on paper, the situation, as you knew, was that the referring physician was still in the process of getting back to me. There were no updates from my end because I was simply waiting on them. The last I heard was a voicemail from your office manager saying she was calling for an update, as we need to get the account settled. There was no mention of sending me to collections. Instead, I received a call from the collections agency two weeks later. All other means of resolution were not exhausted and your office was not transparent. If you need help with documentation, I have that voicemail saved on my phone.Fact #5: You had the capability of removing our status from the collections agency but were unwilling. This was confirmed by both your front office manager and the collections agency. You could have brought the account back to Advanced Sonograms and negotiated a reasonable price with me. Instead, I ended up paying your company the $2,000 in full with no 30% discount for paying out-of-pocket, which could have saved me $600.I appreciate your confession of imperfection as none of us are perfect. I sincerely hope this excruciating process for us, including the unjust $2,000, childish blocking of me on Facebook before I ever visited your page, employee mistakes and lack of ownership for them, disrespectful words/tone from an employee at the conclusion of this process, and the refusal to have adult conversations all serve as a training benefit for you and your staff. May your future patients receive better treatment than I did!

Worst ultrasound experience Ive ever had. The technician pushed the ultrasound wand down and into my stomach so hard I have a massive bruise and it caused the breath to be knocked put of me. He also pushed the wand down hard on both of hip bones so hard that they bruised. I will absolutely never come here again or recommend anyone coming here. For reference Im 39 weeks and 5 days, the facility that normally does my ultrasounds has never had to push on me like that and he still couldnt get clear pictures.
