Planned Parenthood - Bedford Health Center

I will be finding a new planned parenthood moving forward. Yes everyone I talked with was nice which is why I will give 2 stars. the 2 issues was the lady who administered my birth control shot had air in the shot and I bled profusely and she thought a small bandaid was going to stop the bleeding. My arm had to be cleaned up twice along with my hand that was all bloody since I was trying to stop the bleeding myself when I was walking out of the room. When I got to the front desk to be checked out they informed me of a past bill that my card never approved of, I was unaware of this situation since I got zero notification from my bank or planned parenthood. They wouldnt let me leave till I set up a payment plan. Mind you I was just bleeding from a botched shot 10 minutes prior. If I could post a picture on this review of how bad my arm was I would!

While its true that available funding and prices differ from each location and it may not be immediately communicated to all staff at all times, I still had a very pleasant experience and they were very nice. Had an appointment to get blood taken, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes for only a $3 charge.

Cant really trust the staff. One of the lady from registration was sent to withdrawal blood from me, she just shoved the needle to my arm and started moving the needle around while still in my arm. and proceeds to say Im not sure if I inserted the needle into a vein. I was PETRIFIED. Then she said she was gonna send someone else. minutes passed and doctor came into the room I was in, and I explained what happened and didnt seem to care. after that another from registration lady comes and was able to take out the blood. but then I started hearing air coming from the needle I was afraid that air would go in my veins. honestly look somewhere else, this clinic isnt worth it they seem to not care and dont really know how to do theyre job.

Elizabeth was the best part of my whole experience getting my first IUD inserted. Misinformation, moving appointments and seemingly unnecessary extra testing through the week or so to just get it done. But she was personable and just helpful and nice to talk to during the procedure.

Everyone is friendly and caring, they give time to explain any concerns and to you to ask any questions . Vanessa & Esmeralda were very patient with me , when they saw i was anxious . Very caring , very friendly , was a Great experience for me .🙌

Very clean. Very professional. Wonderful staff and a calm environment. Take the stigma away from visiting Planned Parenthood; they provide all types of life saving medical services and education for women. Thank you!

If you are expecting to see a doctor, you will NOTI called to share my concern and share that i didn’t see a doctor during my visit and they did not even try to help and asked me to find another doctor in network knowing that they are in network in my insurance.

Nurse practitioner Vanessa made me feel so comfortable and safe! I came for the Nexplanon the (implant birth control) I was nervous and the process was fast and she was really nice and relatable.

$115 for a pregnancy (urine) test and the coldest most uncaring medical staff Ive ever encountered. I regret going and shouldve looked at the other reviews. Please avoid unless you are absolutely desperate for care.

Everyone at this office is so kind, especially the lady at the front desk with the heart tattoo. The NP I saw was very knowledgeable and seemed to actually care about her patients. I was very happy with the care I received here.

Don’t bother coming here for STD tests. Overpriced & if you’re looking for an actual FREE clinic, go to Adult Health Services - Tarrant County Public Health (Arlington) or (Fort Worth) Clinic.Unfortunately they didn’t accept my insurance and when I asked what was their cost for one STD urine test they gave me a total of $319, and even asked me to “check it to ensure I wasn’t being overcharged”. Wait, why would that even need to be said if they knew how to price their tests from the start?I took PP’s STD urine test on November 2023. Back then I didn’t know Tarrant County had free walk-in clinics, I would’ve taken the extra drive if it meant saving $319. I can’t believe I found the free (both urine & blood STD tests) clinics after doing more thorough research. Google recommended me PP and PP’s website said “low to no cost”. Yeah right, what a disappointment!!

I didn’t like the vibes here! I’ve been to out of state locations and they were nicer and more helpful! I was only at this location for 5 min and canceled my appointment the lady didn’t bother to explain anything she was short and didn’t seem like she cared one bit. I had a bad feeling and I didn’t feel like I was being heard so I left.

Great people and services. I was treated with respect and courtesy. Scheduling was easier than my normal clinic. Feels odd to go there as a man but nobody had any issues or concerns about it.

All the staff was super friendly. It was very clean and professional and I felt very comfortable. Results came within a day. Will definitely be coming back if I have any other problems!

Extremely rude, even when you try to explain whats happening with you. Dont want to listen to your concerns and go straight to what services you need in order for them to get their money. They tell you whats normal with your body but I find that funny because my body isnt everyone elses body and everybody doesnt act the same as everyone else so thats just stupidity to me at that point. Find some place else because the biggest problem here is the lack of empathy and of course almost all the women working the front counter are just rude like they never can have a good day no matter what and thats sad.

Front desk and doctor were amazing! Went in nervous and uncomfortable but was reassured that everything was going to be okay. Was given many options for services and financial assistance. Even left with a complimentary care package! I cannot express my gratitude for this location! I got there maybe 30 minutes-1 hr early and was seen immediately. Loved everything, but the nurse who took me back to do vitals was not too friendly, everything else was perfect!

I came here recently and it was my first time going to a clinic alone without my mom and doing everything by myself. I came for birth control implant and everything went smooth. Staff was very thorough and knowledgable. Service was relatively fast, I did not have to wait very long to be seen. I had a very pleasant experience and will be going back for any relevant needs.

The wait time was less than 20 minutes. The staff was extremely patient with me and gave me an IUD at a very affordable price due to my income. Better than any medical experience I’ve had in the past BY FAR. I will definitely be coming back if I end up switching birth control.

This might be the worst location Ive been to. I used to go to the Fort Worth one, but while theyre closed I had to find a different location. I went in for severe pelvic pain, constant bleeding, migraines, fatigue, and lightheadedness. They basically told me it was normal, and acted like I was ridiculous for coming in. I have an extremely high pain tolerance (Im the type of person who falls asleep during tattoos). I almost started crying because the pain is so much Ive passed out before, and for them to dismiss my symptoms and gaslight me into thinking theres nothing wrong is so frustrating.Also, the girl who took my blood pressure literally gave me a reading so low I would be dead if it was right. So, I dont trust them at all here anymore. Thanks to other comments, Ill be trying the Denton location.

This location is amazing. I went in for a Womans Wellness Exam and birth control. Never having been to PP, i was a little rigid, but all my worries disappeared when i met the receiving nurse, she was the sweetest person. The doctor was amazing and answered all my questions without hesitation and even went beyond my questions. The doctor walked me through the entire process for everything and i never felt like it was rushed. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Amazing

Im not sure why this place only has 2.8 stars. I came here anyways even though the reviews were low because it was the closest to me. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the nurse and doctor all were very knowledgeable and comforting. I had blood drawn and the nurse did it without any problem like I have had at other places. The wait was much quicker than any real doctors office I have been to. I made my appointment same day and was still seen right away. They all definitely know exactly what they are doing and they are there to help you not make your life harder. Thank you!

I had an amazing experience here. I was nervous about going to a Planned Parenthood because they are controversial. I was also very apprehensive and nervous about getting on birth control. I had gone to another clinic to get birth control and it was taking MONTHS to get my stuff in. I called my insurance and they recommended this location to me. I went and did my consultation & had my birth control administered by the time I walked out an hour later. The doctor and the assistant were both very professional and sweet. Seemed like they really knew what they were doing & were very patient with my questions and concerns. I wish I had just skipped the whole experience with the other clinic and gone straight here. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Went to this planned parenthood for a iud implantation. The consultation went fine but when they tried to insert the iud, it fell out twice. I was in extrusial pain and staff did not empathize at all. Very disappointed and was lied to about how much it would hurt. Very unprofessional

I give one start because at my first consultation appointment I was very pleased with timing, information, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. However I was dissatisfied when I had to reschedule my second appointment. I chose to get a medication as form of procedure. I had to reschedule my appointment because my mother could not keep my two year old. I don’t understand why it takes 24-48h just to receive a returning call, just to reschedule the original appointment... as if days, and weeks does not matter when you need to get this done ASAP. I think that is very inconsiderate and cruel. These procedures should be prompt as possible for the sake of being humane as possible. I’m very disappointed and saddened for my own situation.

I really didnt want to leave a review like this for a Planned Parenthood, so Id like to preface this that the one in Denton is very good and the people that work there are super nice and helpful. My experience has nothing to do with actual Planned Parenthoods. That being said, the woman who gave me my tests (she wasnt a nurse) was incredibly rude to me. She talked down to me, rolled her eyes at me, and overall made my visit very unpleasant. If you can, Id find another location to go to. This is not a place you want to go to to be shamed.

Made an appointment for same day and was able to be seen. The staff was extremely friendly and provided great customer service. Dr. Tierra ( I hope that’s how you spell her name) was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. Would definitely be back in the future.

I came here to get full STD testing. The nurse was not able to draw blood after using two different needles in the same arm. She didn’t try the other arm. The staff sent me to another location 10 minutes away to draw blood. They were closed.I came back to Planned Parenthood, and spent 30 minutes waiting for the front desk associate to figure out how to get my blood drawn. She wanted me to go to a different location on the following day and I said no. I had to demand that someone at their location draw my blood.This 15-minute process ended up taking an hour and a half.

I went to Planned Parenthood to remove my birth control and every person that I came into contact with was nice and friendly. I was also able to get in and out in a timely manner.

Was a waste of my time. Why set an appointment when you still have to wait for so long to be seen?! Of course they charge you first and make you wait another hour before they see you. I waited about 35 mins past my appointment time and left, I was sure to ask for a refund since I was not seen. I guess I should have known better when dealing with Planned Parenthood clinics.

Nice facility, nice staff. But ridiculous wait times. Had an appt at 10:50 showed up at 10:30 to get paperwork out of the way. Finally got taken to a room at 11:40, and here it is past 12:30 and I still havent seen the doctor yet. Why even bother making an appt? UPDATE: came back for another go, and had a terrific experience. Only waited about 5-10 min, and the doctor was extremely prompt about seeing me, once I got in the room, and even apologized for the horrible wait before. Will definitely be back in the future!

Went in with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean. Staff nice and courteous, quite informative. My friend was able to get the services she needed. The wait was a bit longer than I would have liked and the cost was higher than Id thought.Not able to give 5 stars; long wait and high prices.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. I went in for the nexplanon and ended up having a horrible allergic reaction. When I went in for removal I had to argue with the lady because she didnt want to remove it. After telling her I wanted it out repeatedly she finally started the removal process which shouldnt have taken 20+ min of crucial scraping with a scalpal and permanent nerve damage on my arm. 😡😡😡

Clean Facilities, and competent knowledgeable staff. The nurse practitioner removed my Nexplanon and answered all of the questions I had about my reproductive health. It was a pleasant visit.

They have an uneducated staff who have no clue what the prices should be to be in line with the other locations and do not get an implanon put in by this company. It took the lady an hour to remove it and I almost threw up. It was terrible. She struggled so much with it and the Implanon was a poor product in the first place that gave me constant cramps and made me bleed all the time. Completely bad experience. Totally Unprofessional.

ASK ABOUT PRICES FROM THE START. This office needs to better educate their staff on the customer service and prices. ladies when you talk to the women of this location ask questions which will help YOU. The last thing you need is to set an appointment, get there and get muscled for money. which noone tells you might need to be seen. Which is very important when your health is at issue. WE ARE IN TOUGH ECONOMIC TIME, BUT A MUCH BETTER FORMAT FOR THE WAY THIS OFFICE DOES BUSINESS WOULD BE APPRECIATED BY THE PEOPLE YOU ARE EMPLOYED TO SERVICE.

I had an appointment at 4pm on 3/13/18. It was a great visit! I dealt with 5 people during my visit and every single one of them was super friendly, helpful, and efficient. Thumbs up guys!

Said on website they took aetna. Tried to call twice to verify, but both times after being on hold for over five minutes the phone call was disconnected and a machine said unabe to process call at this time. Arrived for appt and was told they only accept certain aetna plans and the cost out of pocket for a UID was $900

I asked for a pap and the shot. The Secretary said it would be 180. The receiving nurse said pregnancy test was free. When I sent to pay they tried to charge me for the pregnancy test and charged me an extra 100 for a womans wellness exam WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR. Do not get duped like I did

I thought planned parenthoodbwas a client that supposed to accept everybody insurance as long as they have insurance but I guess not TEXAS has the worst planned parenthood ever and they do not work with you what so ever on payment plans

I would not recommend calling here if you’re in a fragile mental state. A lot of people turn to planned parenthood when they’re in a crisis and the receptionist kept yelling but did end up giving me needed information

Courteous staff but high prices!! I thought Planned Parenthood was all about affordable healthcare for people with no insurance--- no bueno.

My appointment was at 2:40 and wasnt seen until 3:30. There is no point in making appointments if I still have to wait sooo long. Very unprofessional

This place is really no help to those who would need it. They do not accept medicare or the Texas Womens Health Program. They also do not provide free birth prevention essentials.

The staff is very sweet. They made getting an iud as painless as possible.
