My husband and I had a great experience with Mid-Iowa Fertility. The staff was always helpful, kind, and truly listened to our concerns. Dr. Place made sure we were informed and was always quick to find a solution—if one thing didn’t work, we added something or tried something new! He was really determined to help us start our family, while also keeping our wants and needs in mind. The nurses were easy to reach on the weekends and after hours and very knowledgeable and responsive to any and all of our questions during and outside of appointments. I would recommend Mid-Iowa to anyone who is in need of fertility treatment or even interested in starting the process. We are adding TWO sweet babies to our family this winter thanks to the Mid-Iowa Fertility Clinic and we will definitely be back again in the future!

Mid-Iowa Fertility Clinic became our beacon of hope when the journey to expand our family hit an unexpected roadblock. After struggling to conceive our second child, we reached out to the clinic and were fortunate enough to be seen by Dr. Cooper.Dr. Coopers expertise and compassion were evident from our very first meeting. He didnt just guide us through the maze of fertility treatments, he did so with a personal touch, taking the time to understand our unique situation and explain each step of the process. His thorough approach to identifying the root cause of our difficulties was both reassuring and empowering.Once the issue was identified, Dr. Cooper suggested trying IUI. Mid Iowa fertility is the absolute best! I am going through my first IVF and they have made the process nothing but painless and comfortable. Dr. Young has explained the process in detail and has made my husband and I understand the process start to finish. Erin the nurse coordinator has been nothing but helpful in answering all my questions and helping me with scheduling. Whitney in billing is fabulous to work with answering all billing and insurance questions she’s the best. The front desk staff always greets you with a smile and if they cannot answer your call right away they always get back to you! I am very excited to be going through the process with them I truly recommend their services to everyone!

The staff are all friendly and present information in a way that is easy to understand. We worked with Dr. Young and felt he did a fantastic job talking us through what testing we would do and what the next steps would be. My husband especially liked talking with him about his medical background! :)

Great experience! One round of IVF and it was successful! Physicians were awesome and professional. It is easy to contact a nurse via email or phone during the entire process. Easy to set up appointments.

Staff was always helpful. Dr Cooper so understanding, not prone to invasive procedures that are not needed, and eased our way into treatments as needed. I would go back there for any future needs we might have in growing our family. The nurses always respected and addressed my concerns and guided me through everything going on. They were easy to reach on the weekends and after hours. We are adding a new little soul to our crew this summer thanks to the Mid-Iowa Fertility Clinic!

The IVF process is not an easy one, but the team at Mid Iowa Fertility is very supportive and encouraging. The team of nurses is wonderful & Dr Cooper was great to work with also. They were all compassionate & helpful. At the start, we were assigned a “head nurse” I’ll call it, to reach out to with any questions. In our case, it was Senta, and she was quick to respond to questions or concerns any time I sent an email.We had 2 successful transfers, the first ended in miscarriage which was heartbreaking, but our second transfer had resulted in a viable pregnancy & we have graduated to our regular OB.We are so grateful for the team at Mid Iowa for helping us become parents and making this dream come true.

If you are in the Des Moines area, I strongly urge you to try another clinic. We were handled extremely inconsistently, and were left questioning the general expertise and decorum of the staff. After dealing with an alternative clinic, it became clear that this operation is deficient in regard to their resources, skill, and knowledge when compared to their contemporaries in the Midwest.

Mid-Iowa Fertility is an excellent and confident. Doctor Young , nurse teams, lab and front desk are amazing.

Mid Iowa Fertility is amazing. They were able to help us on our journey to becoming first time parents and they are super welcoming and friendly. Dr. Place is great and the nurses are all wonderful, especially Karen and Senta.

The nurses are very nice and professional. I had Dr. Cooper, very nice and loved his energy. My husband and I been trying for a baby for 10 years and no luck. We found this place from a friend who also went here and did IVF. We did the IVF as well and pregnant first try. I sure will been back for my second baby down the road . Incredible experience with Mid-Iowa Fertility. My husband and I felt extremely supported and listed to by Dr. Place and the staff. When I had some concerns (on a holiday weekend) Dr. Place responded to me quickly and and moved up our appointment to give me reassurance. We have our little baby boy on the way this summer!

Wow. Mid-Iowa Fertility is phenominal. From the front desk staff to the medical staff,everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and well informed. We struggled with infertility for over 6 years. When we started going to Mid Iowa we were treated with so much respect and kindness. I cant recommend this facility enough! They were always willing to work with us and made sure we were fully informed throughout the whole process. We are forever grateful for the providers and staff here. They have became more like family to us. We have been blessed with our son and are currently pregnant with twins. We highly recommend them for any of your fertility needs.

We had exceptional care at Mid-Iowa seeing Dr. Young. We always got seen quickly, had all of our questions answered, every single nurse we had was very professional and kind.Very LGBTQ friendly. We spent a year with mid iowa! Absolutely loved the nurses and Doctor Young did a great job as well! Would highly recommend the team at mid iowa for anyone going through infertility! We just had our miracle twin girls 6 weeks early! They are still in the NICU but everyone is doing great and progressing well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND MID-IOWA!

I cannot say enough great things about this group. Every single one of them are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, compassionate and kind. They are efficient yet detailed and thorough in appointments (most of mine ran early!) and flexible in scheduling which allowed me to juggle all of the appointments with a career. I was really teated like and made to feel like an individual person and not just a medical record number or statistic. I have never felt more confident with a medical team as this group.

I wish i could give more stars!!! dr. cooper is the best, and i only wish i had gone to him much, much sooner. after six years of trying to get pregnant, we finally set up a consultation with dr. cooper in january of 2022. at that time, he told us he believed he could help us conceive within six months, and come july of that year, we had our first positive pregnancy test! we were obviously overjoyed. sadly, i miscarried at around 6-7 weeks, and ended up needing a D&C. dr. cooper literally held my hand as i cried before my procedure to comfort me, and told me that he would be there to help whenever i was ready to try again. when we got our second positive test in december of 2022, dr. cooper and the nurses at mid-iowa fertility were there for us. i was able to get two different ultrasounds before seeing my OB for the first time, which gave me so much peace of mind during those first few months. we welcomed our beautiful baby boy in september, and we know this was only possible because of dr. cooper’s expertise. we are so, so incredibly grateful to him (and his amazing nurses) for their knowledge, kindness, and compassion, and will continue to recommend him to anyone experiencing fertility issues.

Going in for tubal reversal surgery in a month and so far the staff and Dr young have been very helpful! Any email or phone call has been directly followed up by the Dr. I feel like I am getting annoying with all the questions I have but they have been very responsive. I have very little chances of conceiving given the type of butchering the dr did with the tubal. I will write another review once my surgery is over

I cant express how amazing this clinic is. They are so extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Dr. Young was so helpful and explained everything that was going to happen! Way to go to all the staff members at Mid Iowa. You all are great people!

My experience at Mid Iowa Fertility Clinic was amazing. They always were able to get me in for an appointment whenever I needed to and they were so helpful in helping me overcome my infertility! Their staff is compassionate and knowledgeable and I can’t say enough at how much they helped me!

I saw Dr. Young 10 years ago to do IUI and didn’t care for him, but the IUI was successful and I barely saw him. Fast forward to now I’m hearing his “care” for endometriosis patients and it makes me absolutely furious. Please, if you’re an endo patient get second or third opinions. Dr. Young: get off your high horse.

Anyone looking for fertility services around the area please take my advice and go here. I spent YEARS of my life going to another fertility clinic and feel very regretful. I only felt like a number and like my time wasnt valuable. I live far away from MidIowa so for convenience I went elsewhere. I decided that this clinic would be a better fit for me after speaking to Dr. Cooper and getting his opinion on my situation. I have since had many appointments and a couple procedures here and I actually feel heard about my own health. The staff is amazing and they make me feel like family. I cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you MidIowa!! ❤

I would give give Mid-Iowa 10 stars if I could! My Husband and I started working with Dr. Young and the nursing staff in January and Im now 7.5 weeks pregnant in May! I have PCOS and we had been trying for babies for just under 2 years so I was worried at first that we would need to go the expensive IVF route.. But we didnt and now Im pregnant!! We go back for another ultrasound next week to make sure our little one is healthy and strong. Everyone is so caring and compassionate there. They helped my Husband and I reach our dreams of having babies. I couldnt be happier with the treatment weve gotten there.

Dr. Cooper and the nurses were wonderful to work with and they have blessed us with a beautiful boy who is now 3 years old! We were successful on our first round of IVF. We are now 20 weeks pregnant with another baby boy. Forever grateful for this team and highly recommend this clinic!

First off, I havent been back in about a year. We met with Dr. Cooper via phone and he seemed nice. We went to the clinic twice to obtain sperm sample, both times the sample wasnt good. I get it, that can happen. The frustrating bit is that we live 2 1/2 hours away, so it is disheartening to not get anything. There is nothing near me that is covered by insurance and we cant afford that. The fact that they never reached out to see if there are any other options is what bothers me the most. Ive never gone through this, I dont know what I need to do. A little hand holding would be nice instead of just being told the sample was bad, try again next month. How many months must we go just to be told to try again over and over again?This is already something very difficult and mentally draining, maybe show you care a bit more.

If you have found yourself in the tough situation of infertility, I highly recommend Mid Iowa. I think I have worked with almost every staff member and they have all been great to work with! Calls are returned in a timely manner. I have found everyone to be very kind, helpful, and compassionate. I have had visits both on weekdays and weekends, and staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Dr. Cooper is AMAZING! We first went to him 6 years ago after our first miscarriage and had been seeing a different doctor that often dismissed our concerns. At our first visit he told us that he wouldn’t put me on any treatment plan until he knew exactly what was causing our infertility. He found out where my body needed help and gave us the correct medicine and we were pregnant with the first cycle! We returned 4 years later when we were ready to have our next child and he remembered us and remembered our daughters name. We are now pregnant with our little boy! I love how Dr. Cooper follows you for the first several weeks to make sure everything is going good and then continues to remember you after you are released to your regular doctor. He made us feel like people and not just another patient on a list. I will forever be grateful for the 2 blessings Dr. Cooper and his staff has helped us bring to our family.

I have had a good experience with this company. I decided to give them 4 starts.The Nurses at the company can be difficult at times to get ahold of. I’m not sure how busy they are or how many they have witch both could contribute to the difficulty of getting ahold of them for questions. I have had a moment where it took a few days before a call back but after expressing my difficulty they did correct their habit. Lately if I have left a message, most of the time they will get back to me within a hour or two.The front desk girls are so polite and quick with check in. Although you can’t see their mouths you can still see their smile though their eyes. Same with the girls who did my labs. Very polite!My doctor who preformed my surgery was a prayer answered! Dr. Cooper has an energetic attitude and if full of knowledge. He’s great at giving many options when it comes to your care and seems very personal with his work. I do and have recommended him to other people who need similar care.

Mid Iowa Fertility is amazing. It took many trys to get things working and Dr. Cooper and Sheila never gave up on us. They were always positive and ready to try the next thing. My husband and I are so greatful to meet such amazing people. We still are calling and emailing them with questions and they respond back so quickly. My husband and I still have a long road ahead of us but we never would of got this far without them. Thank you Mid Iowa Fertility for all you do!

Dr. Cooper is extremely caring and truly wants to help you create a family. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains in detail. He ultimately cares for you, the struggle, loss, and joy. The staff are just as caring. Everyone there from reception, to the lab and every nurse, are some of the most caring people I have ever met. We never met anyone there who did not share in the joy or sadness of the process of creating our family. We were successful after many tests and procedures, finding a diagnosis and using research to successfully retrieve viable eggs that later became our son and daughter. There is no better place to feel comfortable, traverse the struggle, and journey to create a family with these incredibly caring people.

Staff really tries to be as supportive and understanding as possible. I felt that the only problem was that sometimes communication on directions isn’t very clear. I know the staff tells patients the same instructions regularly but on the patient side every shot, blood draw and ultrasound are scary to an extent because that is our whole life of hopes and dreams. It hurts to get that negative after thousands and thousands of dollars and hundreds of tears but sometimes we as the patients need to accept that it’s not the clinics fault, it’s just the way it goes which really stinks.

My husband and I are very pleased with our experience at Mid-Iowa Fertility! Everyone is welcoming, kind and friendly. We felt HEARD, and HELPED.

Great clinic! Dr. Cooper was very informative on all of my options and I’m expecting my little girl in June! Any issues or questions they always got back to me at a reasonable time frame. All the staff were friendly.

Dr. Young is very knowledgeable and great at what he does. I went through 3 rounds of IUI, had a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis and I was able to get pregnant my first round of IVF. All the nurses were so polite and comforting through this very hard process. Highly recommend this facility!

Front desk girls are pretty rude. Trying to call in with a question was IMPOSSIBLE, it always sends you to a voicemail. They are out for an hour for lunch every day. So you cant get ahold of anyone on your own lunch break. The staff here is pretty privileged & not welcoming.I only went here to create my son. Period.The doctors are good though. The phlebotomists are kind & half the nurses are decent.

I have nothing but good to say about this place. Everyone was very nice and helpful. When I was about to give up after my 8th IUI(2miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy). Doctor Young encouraged me to try again. Almost a year after that I decided to try and again. That time Dr. Young did the procedure and now I have a healthy 15 month son. Thank you for all you guys help.Did I mention I had PCOS..my PCP gave me tri-sprin-tec (a birth control) to shrink them 6 months before my 1st IUI.

If you have infertility issues I highly recommend Mid Iowa Fertility. Dr Young was amazing as well as all of the nurses and staff. I was blessed with a set of girl/boy twins 13 years ago. We did one round of IVF with ICSI. Thanks to Mid Iowa Fertility I was able to have children.

My husband and I had been trying to start a family for 3+ years before we turned to Mid-Iowa Fertility. After 5 IUIs, 3 egg retrievals, and one Hail Mary of an embryo transfer with the only embryo that made it through testing, Im elated (and still amazed) to say Im 5 months along with a genetically perfect little girl. The crew at Mid-Iowa Fertility is amazing, theyre always ready and willing to help/advise/listen in any capacity that they can. I could tell they all really care and arent just there for the paycheck; they were right there for the whole rollercoaster ride with us -- finding out I was pregnant, discovering it didnt have a heartbeat, being pregnant again, then thinking I miscarried, and the ultimate high of seeing a heartbeat when we didnt expect to. Theyve changed our lives more than anyone else ever could, and we will be forever grateful.

I met Dr.Young when he was at his first office by valley west mall in the early 90’s, Bev was my nurse and she was great and of course Kepler as well, all equally GREAT! (I may have just aged myself right there 😂) We did in vitro 2 times with no luck, ultimately I later had two tubals and Dr.Young did an extensive surgery to repair the tubes and about 18 months later he was telling me I was pregnant! He kept me for my first tri-mester and I was then sent on to my regular OBGYN, we are now 17 yrs later and my boy is healthy and doing great! You do GREAT work Dr.Young, so grateful to have had you as my doctor and your team! THANK YOU!

We moved to Iowa and were looking forward to expanding our family. We had to do fertility before and had a very positive experience. However, this was not the case at MidIowa. I met with Dr. Cooper. Our initial meeting was great and he was going to test for PCOS. I completed the bloodwork and received a call that everything looked great. After two unsuccessful IUI I wanted to do a little research of my own on my numbers. It turns out the proper test for PCOS was never completed. I cannot put into words how frustrated I feel with the Dr. Our insurance does not cover the IUI and this is a sacrifice our family made. I still cannot believe the test were not properly done. I would never recommend this place. Nor will we return

Dr. Cooper and the rest of the staff at Mid-Iowa Fertility were excellent to work with and thanks to them we are finally on our way to growing our family. They made the whole process much less stressful than I was expecting, even during COVID.

The only complaint I have is that sometimes getting someone to answer the phone at the office is a challenge. There are many complaints on here about various issues with pcos etc. I have that and I am being treated by doctor Young. He has been very helpful and professional. Its important to remember that a fertility clinic shouldnt be your first stop. Go thru the appropriate channels and referrals to make sure your treatment fits your needs. It takes longer but will eliminate unnecessary complications and complaints. Nothing is promised at any fertility clinic and miscarriages and negative tests are always possible .You wouldnt be seeing a fertility specialist if you could conceive naturally and easily. This journey isnt for everyone but no need to take that out on your provider .

Dr. Young is amazing! Had a tubal reversal done in January and was pregnant by July. Expecting our little boy in March! Wonderful experience!

Dr.Young did my tubal reversal in September 2021 and got a positive pregnancy test January 2022. I had my first prenatal appointment with my new OB doctor on February and had a sonogram,everything looks good and baby is doing fine :) Im so blessed and thankful,Dr.Young did an amazing job, I highly recommend him!

Finally my time to tell my story. My husband and I tried a long time to conceive. Before doing fertility. And knowing what I know now I would have never stepped foot in this office.The first test they did was the dye test in the tubes to see if fallopian tubes were opened. Mine were partially blocked.So Young told us we could try the pills to see if that would work.First of all if you have scar tissue on your tubes do not try getting pregnant naturally. This is not a good idea at all. I did not get pregnant. He suggested surgery to remove scar tissue. Pregnant a few months later ended in miscarriage. During the surgery Young told us that the 1 tube they had to basically cauterize off so tube is not usable anymore.Then we went back and tried again and I was pregnant again. After finding out about tubes being blocked and after the surgery, you always need an early ultrasound. To make sure it is not a tubal pregnancy. A baby cannot grow outside the uterus.I asked if I needed a early ultrasound after we had the positive blood test. A nurse said no I asked are you sure she said no I didnt.A week before my first ultrasound I was in great pain. At first it just felt like I had to have a bowl movement so called Young he said to take a laxative. My husband rushed me to the er. I had an ectopic pregnancy, my tube had burst. I could have died.Young called me in again to discuss our next step. He never said that the only way I should ever get pregnant was IVF.So about a year later I tried accupunctor and got pregnant quickly. This was another epitopic that Young did catch early. But I was done with Young after our next visit. He said we had to do dye test again and most likely only IVF.I checked out at this point. I went to a great clinic in Omaha. Heartland center for reproductive medicine, my doctor their was compassionate and understanding. Everyone from front desk, nurses, and even the one who deals with insurance cares about us the entire time.The first thing my Doctor told me after hearing me was I should never get pregnant naturally alone again. We did IVF and they even found discounts for us to help with Bills.If you dont like your Doctor run somewhere else.

It was I good experience at first I wasn’t 100% happy with one nurse or my first negative testBut then with others nurses they made me feel great and contable and my second try I got my positive and now I will have tweens So happy and grateful with the doctor the nurses and especially the lab tech lady she was the best

I Scheduled to have a tubal reversal in June 2016 it will be 3 years in June 2018 and I have not had any luck.. getting pregnant!! I feel they just took my money!! Dr. Young did my Surgery..

If I could give negative I would. Dr. Young is very rude and disrespectful! He does not have any knowledge of PCOS and yet claims to help patients with it. Dr. Young should not be allowed to practice. He feels he is allowed to play a higher power by picking and choosing his patients and it is not his choice. He should be there to help any and all those who need it. I will not even get started on the price as you give away your childs education to have them.

I see doctor cooper at mid iowa fertility! He doesnt give up and starts with the right testing and starts bt exhausting the easiest, least expensive options. I had my first through him and she is now there and Im there agian and completely satisfied.

Dr cooper is helping me with my PCOS and has helped get my husband stop smoking. Its only been two months and u have ovulated for first time in almost 4 yrs

The staff and the doctor we saw, Dr. Cooper, were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Within a year, after several tests and trying medication, we are pregnant via an IUI. We couldn’t recommend this clinic enough.

Doctor young has been great with communicating. Everyone answers my questions fast and politely. I had tubal reversal at age 24 now ttc 8 months no luck yet.

The 2 meetings with Dr. Cooper went just fine but the rest of the facilitys staff are horrid, you can absolutely never get ahold of a nurse, literally every time it goes straight to voicemail weve been with them for about a year now, the receptionist is rude on the phone, wont be going back

They dont waste time trying to help figure out whats wrong. Made me feel comfortable. Very friendly staff.If you want to get pregnant, I recommend Dr. Young.

The treatment with the doctor was great but the girls at the reception and office work is the worst in the world a week ago I did all the paperwork they asked me to send the record to my new doctor since I no longer live in Iowa and They told me that from 24 to 48 hours tomorrow I have the appointment and they still havent sent my record, I call them and they get upset and throw me to the phone in a very rude way the doctors who are so good should have a better team

They’re professional, courteous, and actually listen to you. They take the time to get to know your history and personalize your testing and treatment.

Worst experience i have ever had. Dr wont talk to you without paying atleast $500 thats including asking why a procedure was done and not done fully when i paid over $8kDr never told me fishie clamp was left inside me have had pain ever sense. Called to go over and will not talk to me without paying. Please do research before seeing this office.

These folks work miracles! Dr. Cooper is so kind and genuinely cares about his patients. Cant speak higher about him & his staff!

LOVE the woman that draws blood - seriously, first time in my life that anyone has drawn blood without killing me and she had to draw it several times over the months I was going there. Pregnant on the first try so obviously they know what theyre doing.

In just 3 short months they were able to not only held us but we are expecting twins! Incredible staff and doctors ❤️

They dont answer the phone when you call and they take forever to call back, it took them more than 24 hours to call me back and the front desk staff was very rude to us.

People are rude, not taking serious their job, they make appointments and dont respect the times. Terrible service

My husband and I had a very pleasant experience at Mid Iowa Fertility, we had looked at other clinics without any results and at Mid Iowa we found a good result with a positive result on the first try, all the staff were very kind and very understanding.

We were looking for a pregnancy for more than 5 years without any luck until we found this place we had 3 IUIs. From the girls at the front desk, the nurses and Dr. Cooper are very professional and kind, now we are already waiting and not only 1 but 2 beautiful babies, I cant find enough words to thank them.

Excellent place…everything very well explained. The staff that works there is super friendly... they gave me a lot of hope of being able to be a mother once again.
