Planned Parenthood - Denver Southwest Health Center

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because my appointment started late then I had to wait a long time.Other than that it was a great visit. The ladies at the desk, the assistant that did all the intake stuff, and the doctor were all super sweet, friendly, and helpful.I was getting an IUD for the first time and was extremely nervous and the doctor did everything she could to help me feel better and to make sure the procedure went smoothly. It was probably the most uncomfortable thing I have ever done but her walking me through the whole process really helped. They even gave me juice and let me relax in the room for a while after to make sure I felt well before I went home.Other than the long wait time, 9/10 I will make an appointment here again.Im sorry to see so many people had a bad experience. :(

Such a great Planned Parenthood! I give the organization a monthly donation, and this is one of the best ones Ive been to in Minnesota/Colorado. I went in to get an IUD inserted and both the assistant/Nurse Practitioner were extremely professional and took their time answering all of my questions before the insertion. I would highly recommend this location! Easy appointment booking and didnt wait long for PP standards (I always give at least 30 minutes past the appointment time to be seen...they take walk ins and scheduled appointments, so be realistic. That DOESNT mean show up late because sometimes they are ready to see you.) This time I was about 15 minutes behind schedule. Thank you for another amazing experience Planned Parenthood!

This location is very convienant because they are open on Saturdays! The staff is nice. Now they have an option where you can make appointments online.Now warning, this clinic tends to run way behind schedule on Saturdays! Usually they get you in and out very fast BUT Saturdays tend to run super behind. My appointment nearly took 2 hours just for a routine check up on birth control.Either way, this location is nice but if you aren’t willing to wait long... don’t come in on a weekend!

Waited over an entire hour after my scheduled appointment before I was seen. I understand that sometimes it gets busy, etc. But I wouldnt have rated them one star if this hadnt happened: I specifically asked what I owed after the appointment and was told verbatim that the visit was fully covered by my insurance, only to receive a bill for almost $200 two weeks later. The reason for my appointment that lasted less than 10 min? A birth control prescription and 2 std tests, which were $60 EACH.

On July 15th I had an appointment at 4pm. I got there at 3:50. I wasnt seen by someone till 4:45 to only get talked to blood pressure checked & they sat me in a room. At 5:35 I decided I had enough waiting so I left. I was never even seen for what I went for. It was a nightmare. I felt like kids were Running this place just seemed so unorganized & unprofessional. I will go to a real doctor.

I have been going on to this planned parenthood off and on for a very long time and I have never had anyone treat me poorly until today. There is one woman working the front desk who spoke to me like I was a moron and lower than her. I just got insurance and do not have a physical card yet and when I got there this morning I mentioned that I just got insurance and didnt have a card yet and the one woman just kept repeating that I needed the physical card, like I didnt know what she was saying. Meanwhile I had to ask three times if I could email it until I was able to get an answer and an email address. I was then told that there was information needed for the prescription that was not on the card, a BIN#, when I asked if I could look to see if I could find it on my health insurance website, was told, in a very condescending way, that it needed to be on the print out. She did offer the pills as a cheaper price until I get my physical card, which was nice, but when I got home I looked at the document I sent and it does have the BIN# on it. This is very frustrating because I could have used my insurance today. I wish I would have got the womans name, because the other girl that was there, is always very nice and I have never felt she was condescending or talked to me like I was stupid. I really dont think that I will be going back to this office anytime soon and will just go back to the regular doctor and a pharmacy instead now that I have insurance again.

Waited a little longer than expected but its understandable being most people werent going out during quarantine so everyone is wanting to be seen now. A side from that the whole staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made my visit very pleasant.

Worst visit ever. Didn’t make it past the front desk and was in tears because they wouldn’t accept my insurance. Never have I ever been to a health care provider that said they would only let me use my insurance because the card had my moms name on it (the insurer). What made matters worse is the staff had no compassion and were very dry. If they would have shown some sort of sympathy I would have given more stars but wow.

Went just because I couldnt get in with my regular Gyn Doc and needed my Mirena out ASAP. The ladies at the front desk were awesome. The woman who took my Mirena out was phenomenal!! Pain free and quick.

Very friendly and helpful here. Answered all of my question to the best of their ability. Picking up birth control is a breeze. Little to no wait time.

I love this location. They recognize me as I walk in, and of the 10(?) times I’ve visited, I’ve only had to wait for more than 5mins one time. Staff is friendly, and knowledgeable.

These people might as well close their doors. They are not there to help. Bad Attitudes, no compassion, and have totally lost sight of the purpose and intentions of planned parenthood. Not good people at this facility at least.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am thankful they are here...But WAITING FOR TWO HOURS just to get my blood drawn :/

YOU NEED TO HAVE DIRECT PHONE NUMBERS WAITING ON HOLD FOR HOURS JUST TO FIND OUT THE PERSON YOUR TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF ABOUT YOUR RESULTS IS NOT IN THE OFFICE IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
