Everybody who volunteers their time to help sick addicts are amazing people! They dont look at you like you like the public views addicts. They look at you like your inhuman but not here they genuinely want to help the sick and suffering addict some may disagree and say they are enabling but they dont know what theyre talking about until someone dear to them suffers from the disease of addiction because dont doubt it. For one second, it is a disease. No addict asked for it and it doesnt discriminate. Here you walk in and they make you feel like youre at home like youre human again to give you food, water, clothing. Anything to help you offer you treatment? Anything you want, theyre volunteering their time to generally help sick and suffering addicts in the Denver area. A true group of Saints thank you!

These people are amazing! As a recovering addict I will always love this place!!! Judgement free zone, this place made it possible so where I did not contract any diseases while I was in active addiction. The harm reduction action center also offers help to those looking to seek recovery. They give out free narcan to help prevent overdoses with this fentanyl epidemic going on. I also hope for safe supervised injection sites because that will also help play all the deaths that are happening in our great nation and the city of Denver.

Pretty cool place but they have some staff on lately who are like so flipping bad; like rude and pushy and inconsiderate. which at a place like this could potentially drive away so many people who could really benefit from the help they offer. which sucks. because needle exchanges are so so necessary to any place i truly believe but its hard to get junkies out of their shame and into the light of day oftentimes so welcoming non-judgmental and helpful staff is like essential i feel like. otherwise this place is still great and so vital to so many people; including myself.

This organization is superb! Coming from another state, Ive never been exposed to such resources. The staff is extremely busy, but its an organized, well established and clean facility.Any questions or crisis you may be in, they will have an answer, suggestions or resources for you, friends and family. Everything is strictly confidential. From advice, supplies, classes and testing, they have it.The staff is stupendous. I truly appreciate them and comfortable to say that I have trusted in situations that have caused me to change my behavior, calm my thoughts and save my life.Much respect and praise and prayers for the ones who are there for you, when you have caused everything and everyone else who loves you, to turn their backs, because they dont know what to do with your addict self anymore.Love you Ruth!

I volunteer here when I have free time to do so at least a few times a month. If I cant help them out during their normal hours I take advantage of the other ways they offer service opportunities: street outreach, neighborhood clean ups, advocacy, and clinic referrals. What these people do here saves lives. This place is a very good place, even if it might not look so great on the surface because of the clientele demographic. They have volunteer openings with little commitment. I recommend volunteering here at some point.

In my opinion the best needle exchange in Denver. A completely judgement free zone with the friendliest staff. They make you feel like a real, civilized person as compared to other exchanges (won’t mention what location) whose staff comes off pretentious and stuck up, as if they’re better than you and you’re just scum of the earth. Besides the kickass volunteers here, they provide all the best resources to keep people safe and clean! Keep up the great work, you all are so appreciated!

The people who work here are great! For once you get treated like a real human being and not treated like you are some kind of raging zoo animal thats lose from its cage just because you do drugs and get high. Ive been a client here since 2017 when I found myself in a very difficult situation, had little support, and even less knowledge about resources that might help me. Anyone new to the area, or in need of supplies that support harm reduction, would find it a useful resource.

It is an oasis from the concrete jungle that lies outside. The super friendly staff will try to assist you with many of your requests. They also provide information and Education to keep us safe. Hep C Advocacy, Better Vain Care, HIV testing, Mental Health referrals and much, much more. They also have FREE coffee!!! You can also just kick back, rest and/or watch a movie. They have tons for taped/dvd movies to watch. You pick we watch. Charge your phone and/or tablets.I would highly encourage any IV user out here in Denver to drop by and check this place out. The location is prime--easy to get to by auto or bus. The staff and volunteers extend genuine warm welcomes to the clientele with sincere care and concern for all that walk through the doors. The intake process though necessary is not drawn out nor does it get too invasive; after which you are given an access card containing an easy to remember and incognito client-identifier code and the local statute to which with this card you would now find yourself immune to in Denver (the statute that makes the possession of any injection device a city ordinance violation). Isnt that great?!Here you will find safe injection supplies, hygiene products, many MANY resources, fresh coffee every day, ample time in the large restroom to clean up.... shave--or use the potty stall for a max of 10 minutes; you may receive mail here, hang out to socialize, watch any of the hefty arsenal of movies available or simply take a rest (or a snooze) in a safe, clean, warm and friendly place that promotes a judgement-free and accepting atmosphere.I almost forgot to tell you about the various gift-card earning opportunities that are available here. Right, so there are some classes and such in which you are given gift cards to either King Soopers or Safeway for your participation.... Oh, and lunch is often included with these classes. I attended a four-day, 2 hrs each day (if I recall correctly) class in which a different takeout meal was provided each day, as well as a $15 gift card provided each of the four days (thats $60 total after all four days 😊). So, yeah, this place and what they a are doing, the fight they are diligently and happily fighting is for the safety and rights of a people that have been misjudged and discriminated against by our society and its outdated laws and ideologies for far too long. So should you choose to come here, for services or to volunteer, I urge you to take a deep, long look at the beauty and within the reality in what is the Harm Reduction Acton Center.

My favorite out of the different exchanges. Staff is friendly and non judgemental. If you need help with anything or guidance or resources; staff and volunteers or more than willing to help. Your not mistreated due to stereotypes or prejudices. Theyll never turn their nose up at you or patronize you. (unlike the way staff members up the street tend to treat you at the other exchange) No your treated with respect and equality. Staff teaches you safe and proper methods in using and disposal by upholding the highest standards in cleaniness, sanitation and sterilization of hazardous material. Staff at the HRAC deserve endless praise and recognition for the services provided and the manner in which its provided. Thank you for caring! Keep up the great work!

It doesnt matter your background, your race, sex, whom you choose as a partner, or religion you are all the same and they dont put up with closed minded bigotry either. It is descreat so no one can see you go there unless they are there to see you in which case they signed an agreement that states they arent aloud to say anything about anything that goes on there or who goes there. They offer referral services, needle exchange, STD testing, Narcain is available and so are test strips for fntinal....sorry for my spelling..... This establishment is the future of our whole National Society. The ideas circulating here and the logic and legitimacy behind them is undeniable. The war on drugs that has been plaguing our country for 60 years is going to meet its match with the ideas that come out of this establishment. Not only that the services they provide are absolute necessities. They offer free needles for those who inject. They dispose of used needles. They put those looking to get out of addiction in touch with doctors, support groups, every other resource that is helpful in getting one off of an addiction. There is medicine out these days that makes withdrawing painless and takes away cravings for the substance! Okay
